1. How many works do you have on ao3(Tumblr)?

41 on AO3, but I think I have another 2 one-shots on Tumblr that I never got round to cross-posting

2. What's your total ao3 (Tumblr) word count?

253,123 which... wow ok neat

3. What fandoms do you write for?

A lot lmao. I organised my google drive a few months back and I have a lot of folders now hahaha. A quick count says I've started something for 24 fandoms, good lord.

The ones I've actually posted for are Stranger Things, Harry Potter, Andi Mack, Detroit: Become Human, Arcane, Encanto, The Host, and Little Nightmares

4.What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

Playing Pretend : 2,204 kudos

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

I used to make a point to respond to every comment, but I fell out of the habit. It's something I really want to get back into doing, because I really appreciate receiving them <3

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Either I've Been There For A While or Severus Snape and the Burden of Responsibility (I got a fair few distraught comments on the latter lol)

7. What is the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Playing Pretend, probably. That one's just a lot of cutesy friends to lovers that I wrote in a state of sheer obsession when Encanto first came out. Or maybe To Cherish and be Cherished which is just 400 ish words of fluff

8. Do you get hate on any fics (Art)?

I've been lucky enough that people engaging with my writing have been overall really kind. I have had like 2 slightly rude comments, but I don't think that was intentional :)

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

I have! It was a challenge cause my ace brain doesn't like working that way, but I wrote a voyeurism/exhibitionism Jonathan x Jason fic. I actually feel quite happy with it.

10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?

I haven't posted any, but I do have an abandoned wip in my drafts, if that counts?

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not to my knowledge

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

No, but if anyone wanted to translate my stuff I'd be perfectly happy with that.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

No, but I am open to the idea of that. If anyone wants to co-write a fic feel free to reach out :)

14. What's your all-time favorite ship?

Cunningway!! At this point I think everyone knows lmao. I feel like I bring them up a lot, even though I am trying to not be obnoxious about them. I just love them a lot!

15. What's a wip you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

Uh, is saying 'all of them' cheating? There are so many wips in my google drive that, realistically, I'm never going to go back to. But if I had to pick one... maybe the this untitled Thomally fic I was writing?

16. What are your writing strengths?

lmao fuck if I know. Coming up with ideas, maybe? Everything else is a bit of a struggle.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Sustaining my ability to focus. I also feel like I struggle with balancing speech and description.

18. thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

Idk. I've done it before in Playing Pretend to match how the characters speak in the film, but I can only speak English so... I gave it a go? I don't mind reading dialogue in other languages in fic, if I need I just have google translate open to understand what's being said.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

Depends how we're looking at it. Technically WWE when I was like 7 but idk if I'd count that. The first time I wrote fanfic and was aware that was what it was would've been Andi Mack, but the first fandom I wrote for on AO3 was Little Nightmares.

20. Favorite fic you've written?

I feel like I'm most content with the writing in Thirium Pooling in His Chest (Bleeding Different, Feeling the Same) but I am probably proudest in myself for Ceramic Hearts because that fic was a real labour of love.

4) Which one is more protective? Who needs to be ‘protected’

Minho might feel the need to protect Newt from others, but it’s Newt who has to protect Minho from himself. (Minho wants a lot, he wants it all, and he’ll shy no consequences to his mental or physical health.)

6) Who would beg the other not to leave? Who has to leave to protect the other?

Crying sobbing screaming.

When they have a moment of epiphany, where something just Makes Sense, it will remind them of each other because that’s what happens when they think and talk together.

(the thomesa mind link and what it would mean in a modern world is my own personal drug. i'm so drawn into them knowing and getting each other like nothing and no one else. so again crest, i tagged you bc i thought you might like to see it, but also because the whole part abt 'i see right through me / can you see right through me' reminds me of that moment in your tmrss gift for me when thomas wonders 'what do you see in me, right now, right this moment', or something along those lines.

i think it's such a quintessential moment, both for thomas wanting gally to know him, wanting to know how gally perceives him, wanting to be someone in gally's eyes, and how i feel that knowing someone is the ultimate form of love. wanting someone to know you is a bit like wanting them to love you (platonically or romantically), isn't it? in my mind at least.

this gains a whole new perspective and understanding for thomas and gally, because they've both done horrendous things, and they've both taken actions that have hurt the other immensely. and for them to then come to a place where they know the other well enough to trust that wasn't what defines them, what to them makes up them as a person?

inject that shit right into my veins.

(when i say 'knowing someone' both in the case of thomas and gally, but also in a wider sense of knowing someone as a form of love, i btw do not mean 'know every fact of what's ever happened in their live', or know the other person's each and every last opinion and feeling on everything. i mean knowing someone well enough that the details don't matter.)

crest i couldn't resist and i went and found the passages i was thinking of. this one earlier on in the fic (i still am IN LOVE with the rhythm of those sentences following each other):

Thomas has no idea what he must look like to Gally.

He wants to know.

and then the one i was quoting above:

Thomas drummed his fingers against his thigh, barely paying attention to whatever video he was watching on his phone. Patton had come up to him in the morning, asking if they could have another movie night, practically pleading with those cartoonishly large eyes. And who was Thomas to deny his heart? It would be a good idea,he had thought at the time. They hadn’t spent time together in weeks, except when the Sides came together to help him with his dilemmas. It was a good way to make the others feel accepted and part of the group after years of rejection. It also offered him a chance to finally say he something he had been planning on months. There was never a right time, except now there was.

It had not been a good idea. Thomas was alone in the living room, waiting for everyone to show up and sure enough, Virgil appeared next to him and took a seat. Having Virgil with him actually did more to calm his nerves than Thomas would have imagined. After all, all Virgil was the only one who knew what Thomas planned to do tonight. He put a firm hand on Thomas’s knee, causing him to stop bouncing his leg.

“You okay?” asked Virgil.

“Yup,” lied Thomas.

“Yes, I can feel how okay you are,” he remarked wryly and removed his hand. “Thomas, you don’t have to do this if you don’t want to.” And Thomas knew that, of course he did. It wasn’t life or death. It wasn’t an obligation. But again, wasn’t it though?

“No, I want to tell him. I just don’t know what I will do if he doesn’t…reciprocate.”

“A, you won’t know that unless you ask. B, what’s the worst that could happen? That he might like you the way you want to? You know Patton is never going to stop loving you.” Virgil shifted. “You know the last thing I want to do is pressure you ,Thomas, but it has been painful watching your pining. I believe you should get it over with.”

Thomas snorted. “Rip it off like a bandage?”

“Would you rather use Princey or Logan’s methods?” challenged Virgil. Thomas’s mind filled with dozens of images, of all the ways he could he could ask out Patton. He thought back to the day and decided he was not going to kill a dragon as a part of some grand gesture. How would he even find a dragon. Or worse, ask Patton to copulate with him, dear God. He shuddered.

“Thought so,” said Virgil. “Now relax, Patton’s coming.”

“How do you know?”

He didn’t answer, walking up to the door. As if on cue, Patton rose up there, along with Roman and Logan. They were holding each of his hands and Thomas frowned. Virgil was quick to steal him away, muttering “I’ll take it from here”. Patton laughed but followed him. Thomas thought he was going to find them the furthermost corner but instead he brought Patton to Thomas, saying they should sit together tonight, not so subtly giving him a Look. The same look the other two sides were giving him. He blushed. Thomas did not appreciate being treated like a doll in a little girl’s Barbie game but he didn’t have the energy or heart to say so. And after all, wasn’t this what he wanted.

He blushed even more when he got a real look at Patton. He was wearing his usual cat onesie but his face was littered with fake stars and clouds and the prettiest blush. He had light pink lip-gloss on and small fruit earrings dangling on each side. They should have looked ridiculous with everything else but Patton had a way of making silly look enticing. Thomas looked away, afraid if he kept staring he would never be able to stop.

“Pat,” said Thomas. “You look…nice.”

Patton lit up at his compliment, smiling brightly. “Thanks! Roman and Logan offered to do my make-up,” he gushed. “Isn’t it lovely?” Thomas almost expected him to a twirl.

“Really?” He raised his eyebrows at Logan.

“I merely suggested the stars,” clarified Logan.

“And they ended up completing the look,” said Roman. “Don’t sell yourself short, Specs.”

Thomas smiled at that. It pleased him to know his Sides still hung out even after their job was done. He only wished he was part of their world. Janus and Remus came in not long after and the rest of the night was a blur. He wasn’t really watching the movie to be honest, head filled with the anticipation of what he planned to do tonight. It could go wrong in so many ways. Or it could go so, so right and then what? It didn’t help that Patton was sitting SO close to him, slowly moving even closer.

One moment he was watching Pagemaster and the next he was waking up Patton shaking up. He blinked.

“Hey, Thomathy,” said Patton, in his “good morning” tone. It wasn’t morning, was it? He looked around and no one else was there. “Uh, yeah. They all left,” Patton explained. “You fell asleep pretty early, Tommy. Were you that tired?”

“I guess,” shrugged Thomas. He wouldn’t be surprised if he was.

‘Welp, I gotta go now,” Patton said. “It’s late and I think you should go to bed too.” He started to sink down. I guess this is my chance.

“Patton, wait!”

The moral side popped back up. “Yeah?”

Thomas hesitated. “I..uh…I was wondering if I could come with you tonight.”

“With me?’

“Yes. To your room.”

“My room?” Patton stepped closer to him. “Thomas, do you not remember the last time you were there? I don’t want you to get lost in the nostalgia again.”

“That’s not going to happen this time,” said Thomas, with certainty. “I’m not going to get lost because I am not looking to escape anything.” In a moment of boldness, he took Patton’s hand. “I just…want to spend more time with you Patton. I feel like we haven’t been doing that since the wedding debacle.” But he started to let go. “If you don’t want to...”

“No!” Patton was quick to take his hand back. “Of course I want to spend time with you.” And that was that.

Patton’s room was different than he remembered. Well, for one, it actually looked a bedroom instead of a Kidz Bop version of his living room. It felt different, too. Still very happy, nostalgic, but less intense. Less overwhelming.

Patton had changed into more comfortable, sleepy-time clothes with a snap. Thomas was relieved to know that they had different clothes and not just different versions of the same outfit like a cartoon character. He had then then proceeded to give Thomas a little “tour”, excitedly telling him all the things that had changed and the new memories that were added to his room. Even though Thomas was surrounded by Patton, quite literally, every single in this room belonged to Thomas. Because Patton was his heart and he was incapable on letting go anything Thomas cherished. He couldn’t take it anymore.

“I love you!” Thomas blurted out. Then quickly covered his mouth. He hadn’t meant to say it so soon, without easing Patton into this.

Patton blinked at him. “I love you too, silly.”

Thomas sighed. “No, Pat, I love you. As in, I want to hold you and kiss your face for hours.” And there it was.

“Oh,” said Patton, voice conveying very little emotions. Everything in him was telling Thomas to get out of here and forget this ever happened. Pray that Patton would forget it too. “Wait, you like me!”

Thomas frowned. “Uh, yes, that’s what I said. Look, I am sorry. We can pretend I never said that.” Please don’t let this change things I have only just got you back I can’t lose you again.

“That’s why the others were so…weird,” continued Patton, like Thomas hadn’t said anything. “The looks they were giving us. Why roman insisted he should do my make-up, like he was getting me ready for a date. All the times Virgil insisted that I wasn’t wrong for feeling this way. You like me!”

“I love you,” corrected Thomas. Patton threw away whatever stuffed toy he was holding and attacked Thomas with a hug.

“I love you too!” He exclaimed. “You need to know that I will love in whatever you want me too, Thomas. Oh, I’m so happy can I kiss you?”

Thomas went red. “Yes, please.”

Patton took his face in his hands, giving him a quick, gentle, unbearably soft kiss. It was over too soon, and Thomas a little disappointed but it was overshadaowed by all the joy he was feeling now. It was everything Thomas had imagined it would be.

“So,” started Thomas. “What now?”

“Let’s just go to sleep for now,” Patton smiled. “We have all the time in the world to discuss what this means."

dream trip: would love to meet everybody too as tea said, but that's not so much of an actual trip for me (since she mentioned coming here).

andrew garfield definitely. tom holland is kinda annoying ngl. and andrew was always my favorite spiderman of the 2, anyway, so this was an easy choice

dylan o'brien is my favorite of the two! watching the old cast interviews and bloopers from the maze runner trilogy is always so fun because he's such a fun-loving goof

I gotta say, I like Thomas more than Gally, but I do love them both! Gally's another interesting narrative foil to Thomas (maybe not on Teresa's level but it's definitely there) which makes their dynamic really interesting to see

thomally is good....classic enemies to lovers, 10/10 rivals. but MINEWT MAN.......best friends to lovers always holds a special place in my heart because those dynamics always straddle the line between romantic or platonic, which makes my aroace heart very happy....also they've been through so much together and they care about each other so much ❤ so I'd probably choose minewt

nalby is.....I have some mixed feelings on this one. my main problem with it is because alby is SO radically different between his book characterization and his movie characterization. so it's kind of hard to pin down a characterization that'll stick, yknow? and I never really saw the appeal for shipping them, but thats just my opinion ofc! (I don't tend to ship characters until a friend points out that they ship something, then I rethink things in that lens and decide if I wanna ship it or not. it's generally not my go-to when I look at fandom stuff, so I'm not the resident TMR Ship Expert jshdhskdhd) but newtmas holds a very special place in my heart so I'd have to choose that one ♥

brendesa would be one of those sexily toxic relationships that are an absolute DUMPSTER FIRE to witness but it'd be funny so. there's that. (if you're looking at it from a canon perspective, at least. they're so different that I don't think they'd vibe At All. but from a fanon standpoint they'd probably work) but SONIET IS MY FAVE ❤ they don't have a huge part in the books lmao but in the movies they're shown together at all times and I respect that ❤ post-apocalyptic sapphics my beloved. that scene when Sonya gets rescued from WICKED and Harriet runs to give her a big ol' hug? lives in my mind rent free (I know aris was there too but this ain't about him)

listen, listen I know we're all about thominho here but I would appreciate a thought or two on Thomally, for scientific purposes

Of course I don’t ship them romantically (I’m sorry, I’m too much of a Thominho sucker, I can’t imagine them with someone else), but I love their friendship!

For me, Thomas’s biggest revenge on Gally was to become his friend. Making Gally change his mind about Thomas was the biggest revenge Thomas could get.

Also, Thomas feeling bad about disfiguring Gally? Thomas, you precious soul, I love you so much. Gally tries to tell him it’s okay, that he deserved it, but Thomas can’t bring himself to think that way.

But their friendship becomes something important for both of them. It’s a reminder for them that things changes and sometime for the best.

The Death Cure

Thomally, I'm a thomally shipper as much as a thominho one. All I have to say is MAJOR "he loves me, he loves me not" vibes from some parts of the books. Thomas has (mostly) forgiven Gally for killing Chuck, as he was under the control of WCKD. This ship would need an uncanon storyline to help it, but it is a good ship if done properly in this book

Thoresa, okay. This one is mostly platonic. Thomas canonically friendzones her, so I don't ship them romantically, but the friendly vibes are real (RIP Newt and Teresa BTW)

Not going to lie, your weakness is Newt @graeae , my weakness is Gally — I admittedly wanted to answer with him far more than was probably applicable lol 😂

8. Most fluffy ship

TMR: post-canon in safe haven? Newtmas fix it. I just think their potential for kindness and healing is too good. In the Glade? Probably Nalby, but like, I imagine it to be a very secret love affair. Very pride and prejudice hand touches motifs. In public you’d never know, only radicals would guess such a thing (I say Frypan) but it’s all love and declarations in private. Maybe not so much fluffy but romantic.

DC: Felicity Smoak/Barry Allen. Particularly when they first met. They’re just two nerds trying to make their way in their awkward world.

9. Most angsty ship

TMR: Thomally, but I’m p sure we all saw this coming, lol. They have so many ways in which the angst can flow. They’re oil and water yet two sides of the same coin, both wanting to save everyone but one’s instinct is defense and the other’s is to attack, they just don’t see how fucking critical it is that you need both. Nally is a close second. I think it’s a hard earned love affair born of a lot of tragic understanding, and I’m coming to love them.

DC: Coldflash, which is also not surprising. They’re just a conglomeration of tragedies that they’re both trying to bury — both out to prove something, but by totally different means — and the whole “I see the good in you, you see the bad in me” is just ripe and volatile.

12. Character I see in only one ship

Alby. You converted me to Nalby, but I really don’t see him with anyone else (unless I completely tailor another glader’s personality to meld with his). Sadly, Alby is just SO focused on leadership and survival… I think only Newt could ever break through that. However, I would have LOVED to see him develop a relationship with Teresa. But like… brotps in their own right.

DC: I only really see Len with Barry, but I’m starting to warm to a poly relationship of coldwestallen

26. Characters that you like in every dynamic (lovers,friends,enemies)

TMR: Believe it or not, I love Thomas in every dynamic. He is passionate, focused, charismatic, and investigative. As a lover, this is beautiful in his devotion to finding out about his partners and taking care not to hurt them, to protect them, to inspire them and make them push their boundaries but also ensuring their safety while he does it. As a friend, he is a close confidant, he’s not so much a cheerleader as he is a SUPPORT PILLAR — if his friend has a goal he will help them achieve it. He spots patterns and connections and while he can be oblivious and self absorbed at times, he can also show up and help in a pinch. As an enemy he is DANGEROUS because he doesn’t view what he’s doing as antagonistic or destructive. He’s trying to help. He craves approval and following, even if he’s leading people to their death. He is willing to break the rules that are long in place and provide safety in order to achieve his goals. I think, if he doesn’t convince someone to join his flock, it could actually be really easy to hate him. And if someone feels he’s betrayed them, it can really leave them reeling because them feel like he loved them but now he’s willing to bring them down — and the worst part is he probably looks guilty as hell doing it. Which makes them question going against him, even if they feel they need to.

DC: Snart. Hands down. He’s a cold blooded bastard who hides a lot of pain, who is brilliant and delights in his trade, making him the most devoted for the few people who are in his circle, an intelligent and impish lover, and a terrifying villain. There’s a reason why, even if Barry could kill him easy, he’s still intimidating just in his confidence.

Hey! Sorry for the delay in responding to this ask. It’s been Thomally Week, so I’ve been a bit busy there. That, and, I’ll be honest, I’m not entirely sure how to answer the question. But I’ll try!

Not to sound shitty philosophical, but I think what’s confusing me is that I am not sure what you mean by “actually ship”.

I don’t really do “one true pairings,” and I don’t blacklist other ships. I’m a pretty “casual” shipper, I guess. So maybe that’s why I’m kind of tripped up by this question. And maybe why you’re looking at me and thinking I’m all over the place, lol.

If you’re talking about what characters I wanted together while actively reading the material, or that I think has the most support within the source material, that’s one conversation. If you’re asking about what characters’ dynamics do I enjoy the most and would like to explore in fanon, well, that’s another conversation. Then there’s a bunch of different things in between.

If you’re asking whether I see a lot of little sentiments between Gally and other characters that I think indicates a genuine chemistry-romantic spark between him and others (aka, what’s done canonically with Teresa and Thomas, or what’s easy to do with Thomas and Minho in the books or Thomas and Newt in the movies) to the point that I rooted for the a ship with Gally and another in the canon material while consuming it?

No, to be honest, I didn’t have any feelings like that for Gally and another character when consuming the source material.

But I’m not writing my fandom material to be a mirror of the sentiments I felt actually were there in the canon source. If I did that, my fandom content would look very different from what I actually have.

For instance, in the movies, I view Thomas to be on the asexual spectrum. In the books, beyond Thomas and Teresa which was canon, if someone asked me point blank who I ship Thomas with in the source material, my answer would not be Gally. From what’s actually in the source material and whose relationship I found to be the most heartwarming from solely within canon, it’s probably Thomas and Minho.

But when it comes to the content I’ve created for TMR, have I ever written Thomas intentionally as ace? Not yet! And is Thominho my biggest ship I write for? Obviously not.

But to reiterate, I’m not writing fanfiction to make concrete my feelings and perceptions about canon. I’m writing fanfiction for fun and to explore characters/parts/potentials that interest me.

If you asked me whose dynamic with Thomas I am most interested in, the dynamic would be Thomas and Gally, for a million different reasons I have spewed over this blog before. When it comes to fanon, those two are thus far the two that I have the most fun writing and putting together and exploring their relationship. That is why Thomally is my “biggest ship”.

The most fun thing about TMR, in my opinion, is that I really enjoy a lot of the core characters and their dynamics with one another. It makes for a lot of different things that I like to read about. So to your question as to why I “ship” Gally with so many people, it’s because I enjoy Gally and his character, and I like the relationships Gally can create with a lot of people. Thus, I want to explore them in what I write and read.

But generally, if a fanwork creator puts characters together in a way that interests me, I’m probably going to read it. If I think of two characters together in a way that interests me, I’m probably going to consider writing about it.

There are some characters this doesn’t happen for, but it’s not because I think the ship is “unworthy” or some BS like that. It’s just that it has yet to come about in a way that has me personally invested. And that’s okay!

I’m not here to convince you that certain ships are more viable than others, or of a certain truth that you should have seen in canon. The point is not to eclipse every other ship or say that other ships aren’t real — that’s just shitty behavior. Even of the “most viable ships” of canon that I listed earlier, I’m not asking for people to agree with me. That’s just what I think, and it doesn’t matter — it’ll probably change (I used to ship Trenda, for instance, and I no longer do. Things change).

The reason I share my stuff is because I hope people will enjoy the dynamics I write and have fun reading it, and get invested in it in purely a fanon-sense of enjoyment and delight. The same reason I read fics.

So yeah. Hopefully that answers your question in a way that makes sense (this was actually really tough, lol). Thanks for the ask!
