Wow, this is 1931 home in Winnetka, Wisconsin is impressive. 9bds, 9ba, $8.9M.
Tumblr media
Wow, look at the carved wood walls. There's an original tile floor in the foyer, too, and a leaded glass inner door.
Tumblr media
You know, I like the white carpet on the stairs. I wouldn't want to clean it, but it looks beautiful. This home has those bas relief ceilings, too.
Tumblr media
Is it the way they're photographing the room to get the ceiling in, or are the ceilings low? The large sitting room has wood paneled walls to match the entrance hall, plus the same ceiling and a beautiful fireplace.
Tumblr media
Very classy guest powder room. Black marble floor with white veining, and the marble counter on top of an antique dresser has a sink ringed in gold. The gold wallpaper ties it all in.
Tumblr media
Comfy home office. The rounded desk looks art deco and is nestled perfectly in a triad of framed windows.
Tumblr media
The library shelving is gorgeous. Oblong octagonal cutouts in carved shelves, and that gorgeous fireplace in the middle has a pediment with a pineapple and a black & white marble surround.
Tumblr media
I like this light dining room. Cream and pale blue bas relief ceiling is so soft and stunning.
Tumblr media
These cheery bright dining spaces are so pleasing. This is a breakfast room in creamy white and it gets a lot of sun from the windows to the garden.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The kitchen is a professional chef's kitchen. It begins with a large pantry done in the same cream color with large glass paned doors on the cabinets so you can see the dishware. The kitchen cabinetry looks maple and has a cute corner fireplace, black countertops and copper pots hanging over the double island.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
At the top of the stairs on the 2nd level is a magnificent oval leaded glass skylight. The glass panes are opalescent. And, there's a large sitting room up here, too.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
They've made a walkway between 2 area rugs in the huge primary bedroom. On one side is a lovely mahogany canopy bed that contrasts well against the white room and the other side is a sitting room.
Tumblr media
There is a huge home office up hear with a pretty French Provincial desk and a chaise lounge.
Tumblr media
The bath is nice, there's a separate room for the toilet, and a lovely vintage marble counter on the sink. Love the rust-colored marble on the floor.
Tumblr media
What a lovely guest room. It's so large, there's a huge picture window between 2 full-sized canopy beds.
Tumblr media
Down in the large basement is a rec room that looks like the ultimate man cave. Rich dark wood furniture, a red pool table with an unusual pool lamp- it's not the usual stained glass, this fixture has foxes in red waistcoats holding up electric candles - love that.
Tumblr media
Wow, man cave indeed. That fireplace is the size of a room. You can definitely walk in there. And, look at the life-sized butler statue in the corner. Is he creepy?
Tumblr media
The home gym looks commercial. Mirrored walls and a black ceiling make it look industrial.
Tumblr media
Outside, the iron gate makes it look like a secret garden.
Tumblr media
The hedges are cut in patterns.
Tumblr media
It must cost a fortune to maintain these gardens. The property is 3.25 acres.
Tumblr media
Is it me, or does the pool look like a fidget spinner.
Tumblr media
I love conservatories and this one is lovely. The plants and wicker furniture really bring the outdoors in.
Tumblr media
This is the prettiest tennis court with the trees and latticed fencing.
Tumblr media
An elaborate play set for the children looks like it conveys.

Windenburg Bluffs - Part 1
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hey all! I'm back after a short break. I'm happy to share with you the final version of my build on the big lot on Windenburg's Crumbling Isle. This is the second large build I've done on this lot and I absolutely adore it. For this build I was inspired to create a larger version of my previous build on the beach nearby. My reference for the house was a real life modern farmhouse in California. I made it my own but kept many of the same elements. My favorite architectural elements are the skylights and the pergolas. I really love this style and am planning another smaller build on the island in Windenburg to round out this series before trying something different. For the interior, I wanted it to be modern but feel very inviting and comfortable. This home has 5 bedrooms. One of which is a large suite in the main structure with a walk-in closet and spacious bathrooms. Three additional bedrooms are located in a separate structure across from the pool, and a final bedroom is in the basement. The home features a pool, gym, sauna, theater room, artist's studio, and additional recreational rooms in the basement. There is also a detached garage. You can find the build on the gallery under my EA ID comfysims4, or by searching "Windenburg Bluffs", please remember to search with cc. As always, this build is packed to the rafters with cc. I understand that this amount of cc is not accessible for everyone, but The Sims is a creative outlet for me and I don't like to limit myself. I am not currently making cc lists, however if you have any questions about where items are from, please feel free to message or dm me. You should also check out my frequently used creators post.

Satisfaction
Summary:
Selina had not been a little girl who dreamed of white dresses. The marriage of Selina Kyle and Bruce Wayne, from Selina's POV. For @audreycritter and @frownyalfred
Selina had not been a little girl who dreamed of white dresses. She had not filled her idle musings with bouquets of flowers and tiny cakes. Her interest in diamonds had always been professional, not personal, waxing and waning in sync with whatever artificial value the De Beers were enforcing in the moment. A wedding had never been on her list of goals, a marriage even less so. She had craved luxury, security, independence, autonomy. Nothing she had seen as a child, watching forgotten in a corner, nor as an adult, peering through the windows of strangers, had indicated that marriage could be anything more than a gilded cage at best, an end to all she guarded fiercely at worst.
And yet here she was.
Selina had been determined to be present and fully engaged in the consequences of her decision. She had made this choice, herself, fully and of her own free will, and yet the muscle memory of her soul twitched, threatening flight at the first suggestion of a trap. If she detached herself, she risked reacting instinctively, spirit engaging in the gaps where the will faltered. So she had cataloged each moment, each sensation, carefully, a discreet notation in her mental dossier, a bespoke placard hung alongside the framed piece—the feel of her dress being zipped into place, velvet and lace pressed to skin; the clouded smell of the roses in the bower over her head, their blossoms full and heavy; the whirr of insects beneath the stringed quartet that beckoned her down the aisle.
It still felt like a dream. Selina felt herself doubled, reverberant in mind and body. She was present, present, present, and yet outside herself, forever echoing outward with a ringing ripple of awe. She smiled at all the right moments, true and real, and noted the faces that reflected their joy back from the seats on the lawn. She marveled at herself from afar. She spoke her vows, repeating solemn phrases of partnership, devotion, binding loyalty, and meant them even as her insides quivered. She heard them as if from someone else’s lips.
She was getting married.
She was getting married.
She was married.
Selina Renée Kyle, the Wayne silent but wrapped around her heart like silk, a band on her left hand and a kiss pressed to her lips. Married.
Bruce, as always, was her bolt, her fixed point as she swung through space. He had taken her hand in his at the altar and kept it through the ceremony, the vows, the walk back down the aisle, and the final round of photos that followed, letting go only briefly to sign the license. The prolonged touch might have felt restrictive, but instead it felt like the final check on her lines before rappelling through a skylight, that superstitious tug and the feedback of an anchor point that would not fail. He held her aloft.
Their rehearsal dinner had been small, intimate, restricted to the cherished few that knew who was truly getting married the following evening. Bruce, to Selina’s surprise, had chafed against the wedding pageantry his status demanded and had made a bid for the ceremony to mirror the dinner, held before no more than a handful of witnesses.
“You and me,” he had said, words breathed into the side of her neck. “The kids. Alfred. That’s all we need.”
Selina knew better.
