(1) waking up in a completely different world ⊹₊。ꕤ˚₊⊹
Tumblr media
Before this fanfic story started , this story completely base on my own personal desire; self indulgence and bad grammar and wording;comedy comment and adding traditional that Genshin couldn’t put so i put my own pleasure to .And is based on my own oc so everything might’ve been occed but i will entirely focus on the lore and twist it , that all for you to know and most of my oc love list is mostly woman because i want to pamper and love them adding alot of fluffy things for them
𓆝 𓆟 𓆞 𓆝 𓆟𓆝 𓆟 𓆞
Coming from a class as well with an exhausting katana classes for an upcoming semester and competition that can bonus’s to my degree . In Japanese these schedules is hectic as hell to the point makes me wants to sleep from a bad headache that suddenly appeared on the right side of the back of my head as i try to sleep comfortably on the bed without shifting to not feeling like i have a cemented my head to something and having a distraction from someone snoring so loud making me could wish i have my own room. A few hours passed and listening to countless asmr that makes me feel secondhand embarrassment yet it sooth my heart that it was me WHO listen to it as I drift to the blissful silence
───⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───
Waking feeling something soft yet sharp poking at my nape making me wince but it’s more like me being dramatic to someone or something that making me wake up as i slowly flutters my eyelid slowly as i get use to my surroundings making me jump as i realise I don’t remember me sleeping outside nor in this new environment making me look around in a anxious manner. The most luscious emerald grass that is softly damp and press under me as i was staring at the most greenest leaf that was softly moving in a slow mo motion that was brutally attacked by the gently wind as i lay on the floor as flower surrounded me like a flower bed as i was too reminded that i was wearing a completely different attire than my own clothes. ‘At least I don’t look like I’m homeless in my own room anymore’ is what I thought but thinking again do i even have my own room? Even better . A house to live? But shook my head gently as i too have to wake up and sit up just like the wind that was softly encouraging me to wake up and see the beautiful scenery making me feel like I’m appreciated and loved in this place by no one particularly ‘how weird? I never felt more comfortable and warm in nature if anything I should be happy there’s no bug on me’ as i shiver at the thought a slimy bug on me.
Standing up too quickly isn’t a preferred approach as I quickly felt lightheaded and headache making me wobbly forced me to lean back on the trunk of the tree you see is because of Orthostatic hypotension — also called postural hypotension that’s caused by standing up too fast ‘why the hell am I thinking this??’ As i shook my head like I disturbed myself with this dumb information. Wanting to see myself and checking myself out in this new image , well I could tell the looks of it but wanting to see the full image make me have the energy to walk but with a grumble from my empty stomach make me rethink my decision a little bit on seeing myself. After walking a few hours every minutes feel like a knife been stabbing me every countless of me walking into nowhere as i saw a tree with a generous amount of fruit as i happy jogs there as my eyes have the delight expression ‘finally goodies’ I thought to myself as i try to quickly reach to grab it but every grunt and huffed i give I couldn’t reach with these heights making me groan in annoyance as i just look at it stupidly as i sat down on the bottoms of the tree trunk as i look at the few lakes away but with no energy forced me to stay put making me close my eyes suddenly feeling a cold air soothing my hot temperatured body. But as soon i open my eyes i can quite literally see a fruit dangling from the tree as if it was leaning to a child in a motherly way teasing them feeling confuse and overwhelmed thinking the tree would fall on me as i took the fruit as i suddenly have a nostalgic sense of memory as i look at it curiously
“Why does this fruit oddly familiar?” A pear like shape but the bottom being more wrinkly with pink shade with yellowish making my eyes wide as i now understand the familiar fruit ‘is a sunsettia!—‘ with this new information is now making more aware about where i am or particularly what universe i am in. Now I’m finally grasping this information it was like in cue everything seem like something happened like the bird and animal was chirping and howling as if a celebration was held in place, the scenery shining even more like they been bathing in the sun for years only to be shining even more with something else is like their are happy you can understand what is happening to you. Well chewing on the sunsettia which you understand it belong to a certain game but-but .but. Has the khaenri’ah incident occurred yes or no? Because it may be me being anxious and being a little tiny bit more like a psychopath if I didn’t say quote on quote where the blood curling monster roaming around or maybe like dead people?— okay don’t get me wrong i like this version none trauma and ptsd and cheerful scenery but then again is weird because it is hoyoverse style to make everything and everyone possible chance to have a trauma’s one way or another.
Feeling disturbed with this dumb thoughts i got up and left the tree alone going alone where the winds going. The lake. The beautiful scenery that make the lake look ethereal as the lake being surrounded by the lush landscape and some random wood bridge that’s somewhat like broken but nevertheless it added everything that this lake never needed. ‘What a beautiful sight’ looking around thinking there’s people nearby taking a guess from the bridge but nothing but i went to the lake just the edge of it just to see a glimpse of my reflection. An entire new look
I may be from Japanese but even so I’m still a woman? And i look like i came out from taisho era , an era that war and weird fashion combination exist with weird designs and colour and adding a extra hat, yeah that era. Long sleeve white button shirt adding a layer of black blank line kimono and a colour beige hakama with ending the hakama like a bow tie appearance with another white ish beige haori. In Japanese these is suitable for a man but I’m a woman I’m afraid but i do like the hakama and right i wore a wooden geta is no wonder it added my heights but then as i look at the lake again i saw a small accessory adorned on my head as i saw a small star clipped on my hair thinking nothing of it as I still have my glass with me. And wait isn’t this entire fiasco my dream? Trying to make one of those dramatic cutscenes where the mc randomly getting an item out of nowhere; my big wide sleeves? No, i close my eyes and start to imagine something on my hand thinking i what i think would appear when i open my eyes is there? Nope, what about raiden style? Again nothing, maybe trying a new way by going through my kimono layers in those x position and going through it as I thought maybe my hand crafted umbrella that has a beautiful design and…. It work surprisingly fine let’s be honest is like raiden style of way getting her sword 1001 ways. “I’m like a damn wizard or magician at this point” opening the beautiful umbrella that originated from Japanese style and era as i walk along the tree having such a time like I’m of those cliche moments in the past few years before the incident going to occur ‘okay stop talking like that or else you’re going to jinxed my happy time here’ i mean technically i could also imagine of me having a mythical animal ear….*smirk*
But even so a dream don’t last long even the nights and terrible nights as I could hear a familiar noise coming from a small looking box buzzing as i look to the side still in my outside outfit wincing at the brightness shining to my face as i groan in my dozing sleep as i have to reluctantly have to get up and get ready for another day “I suppose the dream can wait” oh they will wait for you because even if teyvat universe age is younger than you might think they can wait for eternity as the time go longer and farther you can see

For those whose wondering, this account is from kanasashi more over my oc name kunikanasashi hearst is her full name for the story the background is simple for her; she originated from Japanese and she involves with teyvat because she plays the game to escape from the real world from mere pressure she gotten from high achiever and sport katana so she use the chances she get to play but rarely. She has a friend name esther chuumi; my friend oc, a male both have a fluffy relationship with chuumi looking up kunikanasashi and wanting to be like her someday nonetheless is like mother and son relationships. Some habit being the same, copying others action or something similar just like a family would have. Chuumi doesn’t have a family or blood relatives so he often seen live alone; an orphanage background
How did chuumi oc get into kunikanasashi dream? I have no entirely no clue

Before It’s Too Late - I (1).
This is my first SAGAU Story, if it was not already noticeable. There are themes of Puella Magi Madoka Magica in this, including soul gems, witches, and other things to be discovered. I hope you enjoy it, if you would like to be part of the taglist, feel free to comment it and I will tag you.
"Laila, you've been assigned a mission to a world you know well," Esmera says as she glanced to the girl in front of her. Placing a small packet of information in front of her, Laila picked up the packet and opened the first page.
"Wait, Teyvat? That world I helped Mayla and Carin make, right?" She recognized the name, and if her assumptions were right, that meant she would go into her creation to stop something dangerous from happening.
"That's right. Since Carin has passed-," the commissioner starts, though the woman across from her scoffs at her phrasing.
"Since Carin turned into a witch, you mean? One that I had to kill," she corrects as she continues flipping through the packet of information.
"Mayla's in trouble in her own world. It's up to you to make sure Teyvat doesn't get destroyed and you're the only creator left. Once you've read all the information, the second door on the right down the hall will take you to the land of Teyvat." Esmera knew all too well what it felt like when one of their sisters die, as all magical girl warriors were linked once they made their wish.
"And just what mess has she gotten herself into this time?" Laila muttered before standing up from the chair without taking the packet. "Going to Teyvat for the first time, seeing the faces I drew in a journal, how nice," she whispered to herself before leaving the room.
As she walked to the door of Teyvat, the younger sister glanced at the ring on her finger, her soul gem contained inside. It'd been millennia since she's seen Mayla, and if her oldest sister was in trouble, things might've been worse than what she'd expected.
Tumblr media
"....When I woke, I was all alone, right up until I met you two months ago," a blonde girl says as she looks over at the floating companion beside her.
"Yeah, Paimon really owes you for that one, otherwise Paimon would have drowned, so Paimon will do her best to be a great guide!" The creature says happily as she places her hands on her hips.
As Laila peered around the rock, she could see a girl (Lumine) and Paimon, one of the many beings she created to aid her sisters with creating this world and the others connected. "Your Grace!" The small child called out as she recognized the feeling of a creator nearby.
"You saw me that quickly, Paimon." She cracked a small smile before walking toward the two.
"Your Grace? I'm sorry, I don't quite follow," Lumine says politely, which Paimon's eyes grew in surprise.
"Paimon will tell you! This is Laila, one of the three creators of Teyvat. Her and her sisters, Mayla and Carin, came together to create this world and many others!" The pixie explains in happiness as she floated around the woman.
"I'm sorry I didn't recognize you sooner, your Grace," she bows, though the sister chuckled before waving her hand dismissively.
"It's okay. A lot has been lost to history, more than I would call a comfortable amount. I couldn't help but overhear your some of your conversation with Paimon, but are you planning on traveling through Teyvat in search of someone?" Laila asked as she kept the conversation to the point.
"That's correct. I'm looking for my brother, Aether. Ever since we fought the Unknown God, my brother and I were split apart." She explains, which Chiko gave her a small frown.
"I've been assigned back to this world because something grand is going to happen to my sister that I need to prevent. Would you be alright with me traveling with you both until I can figure out what's going to happen?" The woman asked, which Lumine nodded eagerly.
"Of course! Though, if you plan on doing this assignment, don't you think walking around would cause a lot of confusion and unwanted attention?" The blonde had concerns about Laila's plan, but she already had something in mind.
"That's why I won't be traveling with you physically. As I'm sure Paimon is aware, I am a magical girl warrior, and as such, my soul is carried in this soul gem. " She explains as her soul gem forms in her hand and holds it out to Lumine. "This ring of mine will stay on your finger, meaning where you go, I follow. As for my physical body, I will bury it somewhere I know is safe for the moment."
"This is something delicate to you. Are you sure you want someone like me to look after it?" Lumine's concern made the woman laugh, but she nodded anyway.
"There is, however, something I need to warn you before we start on your journey. Each time you fall unconscious, because my ring is on your finger, I will take your place immediately. Once your consciousness wakes up, I won't be in control of your body. I partially recognize the seal on your powers, and I can tear it down, but it will take time."
"If you're able to, please help me restore my abilities so I can find my brother." She says, which the woman nods before looking at Paimon.
"Well, Paimon, our beloved tour guide, lead the way."
Tumblr media
"This is a Statue of the Seven, one of the many scattered across Teyvat. Because we're in the city of Mondstat, this one is of the Anemo Archon," Paimon explained and moved out of Lumine's way. "Try touching it and see what happens!"
Watching as the blonde moved toward the statue, she placed her hand on the golden plating. As the power of Anemo flew into the traveler, the glowing white of her clothing turned sky blue. Lumine glanced to her hands in wonder and confusion before looking to Paimon for answers. "Did you just feel the power of the winds?"
"As you travel across more nations, more of your abilities will come back naturally. The seal on your abilities will weaken, and as I work on them more, each of them will come to light. Now that you have a power to start off, I need to go to Stormbearer Mountains. Once I'm there with you following behind, I can give you the ring which holds my soul gem," Laila explains before holding her hand out to Lumine.
As Paimon clutched onto Laila's back, the creator jumped into the air with the two holding on. "Where are we going, your Grace?" Lumine asked against the winds as the three continued flying through the clouds.
"There's a creature, a hypostasis I created to act as a safeguard in case my return wasn't welcomed. Her name is Beth, and she is a sweetheart to my sisters and I. Anyone she doesn't trust will be killed by her power. She isn't the only hypostasis in this world to exist, but she is among the strongest. After Carin's... passing, I put them across Teyvat to ensure our safety in case we come under attack."
"So these hypostases are friendly to you alone?" the blonde asked, which Laila nodded as the group landed closer to the platform the creature hovered over.
"And those Beth senses I trust." As Laila walked toward the creature, she could see the hypostasis awaken before relaxing into her touch. "Hello Beth, how have you been? Good, I hope," she whispers and placed her forehead against the outer shell of the creature. "I need you to look over my body while I travel with Lumine."
Hearing Beth let out something akin to a chirp, Laila walked toward the Traveler and handed her the ring. "The farther away from my body will make it physically unresponsive in something like a comatose state. Beth will take care of my body in the meantime, though my soul will be housed within your body." It was difficult to explain, and judging by Paimon's expression, she didn't understand. "Go ahead to Mondstat. I'm right there with you."
Tumblr media
Barbatos, the Anemo Archon, god of wind. The winds kept him tied to Mondstadt as everything carried through the wind currents. Today, something had felt off, and the archon wanted to understand why.
As the god sat in Mondstat's sacred tree, an anemo slime floated up to his height in the tree. The creature bounced on his stomach, which Venti didn't mind, as his thoughts were elsewhere. Because the slime recognized the archon's attention wasn't on it, the slime expanded and shot concentrated anemo blasts at his head.
The first hit snapped Venti out of his thoughts, forcing him back to reality. Upon seeing the anemo slime deflate onto his lap, he pet the creature, though it shook as if saying "no." The slime jumped off the tree branch, using its wings to soften the fall. The archon still didn't understand.
"Do you want me to come with you?" The slime bounced in response. "Is there something you want to show me?" Yet another bounce, however, this one came with a chirp, as if saying "yes."
The archon thought little of it and hopped off the branch, landing on his feet. The slime moved forward, though occasionally glanced toward Barbatos to make sure he still followed. When a strong gust blew his direction, the draft was strong enough to knock him off his feet.
As the slime turned to check on the archon, mostly to see if he still followed, the creature bounced around Venti repeatedly. The gust the knocked him down felt sad, though not like the occasional sadness that humans called "death." There was something different, but he couldn't place what it was.
The slime shot him with an anemo blast, causing Barbatos to look in confusion. Usually, a slime wasn't this pushy, but something was different about today. "I'm still following, don't worry," he says and stands up, causing the anemo slime to continue leading him somewhere.
Tumblr media
"Why did you lead me all the way out here?" Venti says as he continued following the slime. By now, the two were at Cape Oath. However, the slime didn't stop moving forward. It wasn't until the slime stopped in front of an old statue did he realize why the slime lead him there.
Moving his hand toward the engravings on the statue, he read the words, "the Creators of Teyvat. Magical Girls and Protectors of Teyvat." Glancing toward the slime in confusion, Venti noticed vines and moss growing on top of the head of a sister. Creating a small wind gust to get rid of the moss, his confusion piqued.
Half the head of the middle sister, one whose name he couldn't remember, was missing. Deep cracks in stone long formed from something designed the middle of the woman's chest. If this statue were from Celestia, the rock would not have eroded so much as to form cracks on one part of the statue.
This raised more alarm when he could see and hear cracks forming in the right sister's statue. However, the one on the left remains untouched, without cracks, with no signs of erosion. Unfortunately, within the time the Anemo Archon slept, things went on that he was unaware of.
There was more to the gust of wind that shook his figure than meets the eye.

We Care About You
For the past couple of days, you've been sacrificing sleep to spend more time playing Genshin. The people of Teyvat take notice and do not approve.
Content Warning(s): Liyue Archon Quest Spoilers
Notes: SAGAU; GN!Reader; First Story; Inexperienced Writer
Word Count: 1.5k

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You honestly should've seen it coming.
There were too many hints that told you what was about to happen, but you either didn't notice them or ignored them entirely.
Now you're about to fall into unconsciousness against your will, all because someone within Teyvat cared about your well-being.
"How is this even possible?" you pondered before you finally fell into sweet unconsciousness.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The first hint happened so quick you almost missed it.
You were a couple of minutes removed from logging into the game and had just started working on your second of four daily commissions.
As you were teleporting to Dadaupa Gorge to help Wyatt look for his key, you noticed an unusual message on the loading screen.
Sleep
When night falls, make sure that you get plenty of rest!
You were lucky that you were a fast reader or else you wouldn't have been able to read that message in time.
At first, you didn't know what to think of it. Sure, Hoyoverse could've easily added it into the game, but you didn't see them ever doing such a thing. Additionally, you've never seen anyone else experience this message before.
"Probably something new," you guessed before gliding on down to speak with Wyatt.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The second hint was a bit more noticeable than the first.
After completing Wyatt's commission, you were on your way to Falcon Coast to defeat some hilichurls. It was approaching nighttime in Teyvat when Paimon suddenly said:
"It's getting pretty late. Paimon thinks that we should go to bed soon."
You stopped gliding forward for a brief moment in slight surprise. It only took a few seconds for you to snap back to reality before pausing the game to save what airtime you had left.
"I can see a new line of text being possible, but a new voice line?" you contemplated. Like the last hint, you really didn't know what to think of it. If it was only one new voice line that got added into the game, you guess you shouldn't see that as a big surprise.
"Today has certainly been weird," you added before unpausing the game.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It wasn't until the third hint that you started to think that something was wrong.
After defeating the two waves of hilichurls, your last commission had you beat up some cryo slimes near the Dawn Winery. You teleported to the Anemo Archon statue, grabbed a couple of Windwheel Asters, and began to glide down to the water.
However, just as you were about to pass the Dawn Winery, you began to hear a sweet melody coming from the building. This wasn't the theme you were used to hearing when you were near the Dawn Winery, so being the curious person you were, you took a quick detour to the building.
As you approached the building, the melody began increasing in volume. Furthermore, as you moved your camera you noticed the sound gradually shifting volume in-between your right and left ears.
"Wait, this isn't just a soundtrack? Someone's actually playing this?" you questioned, speaking aloud for the first time. You rarely speak your thoughts aloud, finding such an action to be awkward, but you felt that the situation warranted such a reaction out of you.
After a bit of wandering and camera movement, you pinpointed the source of the sound coming from the roof. Starting from the front of the building, you climbed up the wall and onto the balcony. You moved the camera around, trying to see if you could get a better view of the roof, and after a while, you found the source of the melody.
Venti the bard was currently straddling the roof beam with his back against the spire right near where the Anemoculus used to be. He had his eyes closed as he was playing the soothing melody on his lyre. If he noticed you, he took no note of it as he continued to play.
"Okay, now things are getting weird," you began to monologue to yourself. "I can somewhat explain a new loading screen message and a new voice line, but a new audio played by a character who is never supposed to be seen outside of archon quests and events? A change as big as this would've surely been advertised by Hoyoverse on social media, right? So why does it feel like I'm the first person to have discovered this? Do I consider this to be a bug or a glitch?"
However, as you continued to think to yourself, Venti continued to play his melody. As the melody dragged on and on, you began to yawn and feel your eyes growing heavy.
"Hold on. Is this melody...making me sleepy?”
Music notes began to fade in and out as they floated from Venti's lyre to your player character.
"I can't fall asleep just yet! I still need to finish my commissions!" you proclaimed before leaping off the balcony and continuing your way down to the beach. "Ooh! I also may need to travel to some domains and farm for materials."
You missed the fourth hint while you jogged away from the winery. Had you looked back at Venti, you would have noticed that he stopped playing the melody before sighing with a slight frown on his face.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After completing all of your dailies, you decided to take a change of scenery and meet up with Liyue Katherine.
"I still need to go to Wanmin Restaurant and trigger that Beetle event. Plus, the crafting table is just around the corner for me to craft some Condensed Resin!"
You were too distracted by the crafting table to notice the fifth hint of the day. Had you kept your eye at Third-Round Knockout, you would've noticed the former Geo Archon getting up from his table and walking over to you.
Having finished crafting your Condensed Resin, you began to head over to Wanmin Restaurant. But before you could...
"Traveler! A quick moment of your time, please."
Startled by the sudden attention, you flicked your camera behind you to find Zhongli approaching your player character.
"It has been a while since we last had a chat. I was hoping you would accompany me while I head to Wangsheng Funeral Parlor to retire for the night. We can catch up with each other while we walk."
Too many thoughts were running through your head for you to give a proper response, not that any prompt showed up anyway. Zhongli took your inactivity as a sign of acceptance.
"Good. Let us be on our way then."
Zhongli started to walk past you, which didn't help your thoughts at all.
When his feet hit the ground, there was no visible space between the sole of his shoes and the ground. You never saw any of his clothes clip through any part of his body. In fact, you swear you saw a few wrinkles.
"Everything about him is too detailed. The walking animation, the clothes, the collision, the hitboxes; there is no way in hell everything should be so... fluid."
You started to think whether or not you should go through with his request. However, before you could make a decision, the game decided to make one for you.
The Traveler moved... but your hands were off the keyboard.
"WOAH Woah Woah woah..." You repeated as you backed your chair away from the computer. Now you were starting to think that your game was broken. You quickly scooched your chair back closer to your computer and were about to Alt+F4 outta there before...
"I would refrain from doing that."
You stopped what you were doing and looked up at the screen. Did you miss something that the Traveler did?
"As much as we all love to have you around, we know better than to have you overstay your welcome when you are clearly tired."
...That didn't sound like he was talking to the Traveler.
"I admire your persistence, but you leave me no choice, [Y/N]."
"Oh sh-."
Before you could finish your sentence, a loud buzzing sound suddenly played from your computer speaker. Almost immediately, you could feel yourself about to fade to unconsciousness. You quickly stood up and covered your ears as you tried to fight it, wondering how in the hell this sound was affecting you despite having heard it before in Sumeru. Unfortunately, the noise continued to grow louder and louder until you could no longer stand on your own two feet. You slowly slumped to the floor as the sound began to lower in volume, sensing that its job was done.

Author Side Notes: I know that I'm not the best writer in the world, but this idea for a SAGAU story I had continued to grow and grow until I felt like I could connect all of the plot points by myself.
If anyone is willing to rewrite or even possibly continue this story, I'm all down for it. I just wanted to see if people like this sort of scenario.
I also have more ideas for SAGAU stories if anyone wants to hear them.

About your language brainrot. I see your "Reader's writing can't match tyvat's long and flowery writing" and bring you "Tyvat isn't used to books over 50 pages long so a short story to the Reader is a whole dictionary to tyvat readers".
Seriously, have you seen how thin the books are? They don't wrote novels, they write short chapters formatted in the way really old stories are. As in, summarizing all the events down into one smooth story then adding a few quotes. Fanfiction writers are insane. They will willingly sit down and write hundreds of words at a time. To them, a proper modern day story of maybe, oh 10k words or so, would probably be like the Oddessy itself.
If we were to combine the two headcanons. It would end up as many historians being intimidated by this insanely long written scripture in the language of the forgotten.
I'm going to take this a step further and say that if the creator asked some people to proofread their things, it would establish a hiarchy of who is able to actually finish the book the creator read and who isn't.
NOW THIS, THIS IS MY FUCKING JAMMMM
I'm so sorry this is so old!! u probably all know this by this point that I've really slowed down as the year has gone on, but I graduated university and then got my first job so its been pretty crazy!
Tumblr media
Sun: Reader (you/they/them)

Comment if any missed, please.
FULL STOP.
THE AKADEMIYA, FONTAINE RESEARCH INSTITUTE, HAVE BEEN WAITTTINNGGGG ON YOUR ASS LMAO
You fall from the fucking sky like a 5 star, or pop out of the Irminsul or whatever
and immediately are mobbed by scholars. LMAO jkjk (not really, bc that's what it’d feel like)
can you even imagine the dread older stories(”the classics” to them), that was instilled in the poor students around Teyvat??
id like to think ur works are the most preserved over the thousands of years of Teyvat archeologists excavating them, in comparison to other authors (teyvat just likes you more, suck it William Shakespeare)
also, bc I cant resist language differences/world building I'm sorryyyy 😭 😭
the vocab of Genshin lang vs. ours, has significantly less vocabulary like their actual dictionary is 1/3 the size of ours type of energy
(Omfg all ur fanfics being considered like insanely long realistic romantic classics or tragedies like Jane Austen-level, and only the richest and biggest play companies put on plays about ur stories bc the script goes on for hours)
(ur plays only get put on for rlly big events bc of this, like Lantern Rite or like a Summer/Winter festival/your birthday, which is, yes, an international holiday)
dude the sheer power move of anything you’ve written being essentially “Journey of the West” to them, like Damnnn.
endless like adaptations, plays, Teyvat-short stories condensing it, (THEIR OWN FANFICTION ABOUT UR STORIES)
the power is, in fact, going to your head every time another scholar both deflates at how long ur stuff is, but also lights up bc they get to read it
speaking of scholars… you know who snatched you up first. you know. you don’t even need to read the next line.
Alhaitham.
sneaky bastard he is, absolutely manipulated, mansplained (and manwhored bc he knows he’s handsome, cheeky little shit) his way into getting you to sit down with him and interview you about both translating other classics, your own, giving your own analysis of others works and ur own, and picking ur brain apart of how/why you wrote urs, etc. its fucking endless,
Kaveh had to come rescue you bc u were starving to death after getting stuck with the Haravatat scholar in his office for nearly 7 hours of interrogation discussion about literature
and Alhaitham wasn't even nearly done, he’d informed you as you left that he already had another appointment for later conversation scheduled (how?? you don't even know ur own schedule??? you have a schedule???) and was looking forward to more of your “creative and enlightening input” :)))
(you’re never going to escape him, not even Nahida herself can save you from his stubborn ass)
On another note, Xingqiu is quaking when you agree to autograph his copy of your stories (of which he has all hard covers of the first edition translations)
Zhongli/Rex Lapis is known for having a near-lifelong passion for searching for your works specifically, and learning how to translate them better into Teyvatian vernacular
like the same way he can absolutely speak on Rex Lapis facts/rocks/adepti info, is the same confidence he speaks about knowing ur work lol
(yes he did also ask for several autographs and another sit-down talk about the works, tho a lot more sneaky then Alhaitham bc he just casually gets u guys into it during dinner)
Barbatos/Venti has written some of the most famous songs based on your stuff, he has his favorites too,
but he always claims the best songs are any that have been written in the story, like either when a character sings something, or there are like quotes from songs ur fanfics are based on lol
(he also demanded to hear what they actually sound like from you, yes, you have to sing them for him lol)
Venti also can surprisingly drunkenly ramble the entirety of at least one of ur stories, like, word for word lmao
(Diluc gave in and did give him a drink on the house for that one, just once, Venti doesn’t remember it lol)
(I forgot to mention, u guys still speak the same language, just like, different versions of it)
ur works being one of the few things all the Archons can freely talk about with each other, like it’s neutral ground bc they’re all fangirling about it lmao
Furina and Neuvillette have had like,, fierce debates over the decades about character dynamics and the general drama of ur stories, they’ve gotten into it enough they’ve stopped talking to each other for a couple days a few times lol
Albedo, Sucrose, Kokomi, Yae Miko, Ei, Raiden, have read every single work they’re gotten their hands on in Teyvat (it took them like a literal year or longer)
Albedo drew you fanart for every single story, bc he’s hyperfixated on everything related to you ngl,
Kokomi had commissioned smaller pocket versions of ur works (which later got popular thanks to Yae Miko) both the OG and the Teyvat shortened versions
THE HARBINGERS ARE THE MOST DOWN BAD LMAO
Childe has literally tried to recreate battle scenes from ur works lmao
and gets especially riled up about fighting someone who resembles any characters from them (esp villains, what a cutie)
You cannot fathom the amount of research throughout Teyvat that has been secretly or indirectly funded by Pantalone/Tsaritsa
from the experts to analyze them, to funding play companies to act them out, to actually excavating places to get more of ur stuff unearthed
(the Harbingers absolutely are the first group of people that got to read several of ur stories first bc of this, like the world’s most exclusive secret book club lol)
Scaramouche used to clown on Childe all the time about how he was too impatient to even “sit down and read the King’s classics”, and he was downright insufferable when he found out about Tartaglia’s habit of recreating battle scenes/that being what motivated him to fight sometimes lol
that being said, Wanderer surprisingly never forgot ur stories.
Even when his memories were wiped for a bit, he found comfort in these fantastical epics still sticking around, even when his old names did not
(he mayyyy or mayyy nottt have secretly namedhimselfafteroneofthetragicprotagonistsherelatesto- )
oh btw, Nahida also found joy and comfort in ur stories when she was trapped, they also helped her literally grow as a person bc she had ur stories to help her sort of process the world/what life was like outside of her dreaming prison 🥺💔❤️‍🩹
OMFG
ANYWAY FULL TONE SHIFT LMFAO-
the ABSOLUTE SPIRAL-RED-STRING-CONSPIRACY-THEORY-BOARD ENERGY IF THIS WAS A BLUNT LANGUAGE AU LMAOOOO
like specifically how Teyvatians like to give all the context ever thru their words, but older deities/beings like you just do simple phrases that can have deeper meanings (whereas teyvat just explains all the meanings behind their words)
STOP there’s like an official display at the Akademiya and Fontaine Institute of red string theory boards 😭😭 (look what you’ve done to themmm LMAO)
for like every story of urs, INCLUDING THE FANFICS STOP
IMAGINE THE SHIPPING WARS IF U EVER WROTE ONE THAT WASNT EXPLICIT OR LIKE ONE OF THE MAIN ROMANTIC INTERESTS HAD CHEMISTRY WITH OTHER CHARACTERS HAHAHAHAA
that's actually what Akademiya scholars argue about the most viciously, it’s like politics you can’t just bring up ships from ur stories casually in regular convos 💀
(poor Cyno has to deal with a shipping war once a year bc someone always makes the mistake of reading ur work for the first time (without being told to not talk to others abt ships lol) and it starts an all out brawl in the cafeteria every time LMAO)
Also yes.
Cyno is a fanboy.
(he has read Creator x Reader-insert fanfiction.)
(As have most of the characters mentioned, and those not lol)
(I'm gonna make a whole Creator x reader fanfic post one day i stg lmao)
an iced coffee? for me?? :0
ok but real talk…
wtf do you guys wanna see for new years!!
i didn't do a inktober/october days thingy bc i felt too unprepared (and bc id wanted to post that 1000+ followers eldritch au for Halloween)
but now i kinda wanna, at least for a few days :o
ill post a poll in a minute, so check it out!! but still, please feel free to comment some ideas here! :)

☆ even the gods bleed [ pt 2 ]
{☆} characters furina, neuvillette {☆} notes cult au, imposter au, multi-chapter, gender neutral reader {☆} warnings none {☆} word count 1.9k {☆} previous [ 1 ]
This had to be a punishment of some sort – some kind of divine punishment.
She was bored out of her mind just watching the sleeping body – she hadn't blinked once in the past five hours, her eyes were really starting to hurt. Yet they still hadn't moved so much as an inch since she sequestered them away to the only place she had known to be safe.
But it'd been almost a week since then.
The only solace she found was that Teyvat had seemed much less hellbent on collapsing in on itself like a dying star.
That counted for something.
Not much, but something!
..Even if their position was no better then it was a week ago.
There was, after all, still the issue of what to do about the false Creator – the actual imposter – and the Archons following them like blind lambs. The other Archons wouldn't listen if she tried to reason with them, and it would only risk the life of Divine One if she spoke of their location to anyone else.
She also was pretty fond of having her head still attached to her shoulders.
So she avoided them all together. Partially because she wasn't sure she wouldn't have a breakdown at the sight of them..she'd never been a fighter, and fighting an Archon? Easy pass.
Instead she was forced to babysit the sleeping Divine until they woke up while Neuvillette handled taking care of the nation and dealing with the other Archons – and by extension the false Creator.
Really though, she would almost think them dead if not for the subtle rise and fall of their chest.
Though..this also left her with a lot of time to herself. A lot of time to think.
She really didn't like it.
There wasn't a lot to occupy her mind and what little there was only distracted her for a scant few moments before her eyes drifted back to the Divine like she was locked in their orbit, unable to escape.
She closed the same book for the twelfth time – she kept count – and returned it to it's meticulously designed place within her bookcase. A low, barely audible huff of frustration escaped her lips before she could bite it down, her stare boring a hole into the body of the Divine One with a sharp intensity she rarely showed.
She was tired, bored and constantly on edge, fearing that at any moment someone would find out about their presence here.
That, at the drop of a hat, she would be powerless to stop the greatest tragedy of her time play out before her eyes.
Neuvillette would have scolded her for being so petulant, especially around the Divine One, if he were here.
But he wasn't.
He was out running her nation, instead.
And what was she doing? Nothing!
She grit her teeth, nails digging harshly into the palm of her hands as she took a deep breath – now was not the time to think about that. She had..much more pressing matters. Sulking and letting her thoughts spiral helped no one, least of all herself.
Yet her attention was caught by a harsh inhale, the rustle of fabric – were they finally waking up? She was exhausted, but it all vanished at the sudden drop of life within the otherwise deathly still body of the Divine.
Her eyes followed the subtle twitch of their fingers, watching as their brow furrowed and their features twisted in something almost like..pain.
..She wasn't ready.
What was she supposed to say?
Should she even say anything? Would that be considered impolite? Does she wait for them to speak first? Should she kneel? Bow?
She doesn't get much time to find her own answer before their lashes flutter, chest heaving with every strangled breath. Every single thought vanishes from her mind the moment she meets their eyes.
For a long, silent moment she thinks that her heart must have stopped.
Their eyes glow like the cresting of the sun over the horizon, painting the world in hues of gold – yet it also reminded her of the dipping of the moon below the waves, casting the briefest, most gentle of lights upon the world engulfed in darkness. In the depths of their eyes was the birth and death of stars in the infinite cosmos – glittering stars in a sea of empty, blank space that left her feeling lightheaded and breathless.
Beneath the splendor is a spark of recognition in their eyes so vibrant it was like a shooting star piercing through the dark night sky, leaving nothing but the wonder in the eyes of the observer as the only proof it ever existed – brilliant in it's beauty, however brief.
It is the most beautiful thing she has ever seen.
"Focalors?"
The lilt of their voice nearly made her knees buckle beneath her – euphoria so consuming it left her feeling she was starving swallowed her whole, her mind blanking in a moment of utter bliss. It was..an indescribable feeling that she doubted she could ever hope to put into words – not in a way that could properly express it, try as she might.
She swallowed the words that threatened to spill from her lips – she couldn't make a fool of herself. Not in front of them of all people. She'd never forgive herself.
"Divine One," She rasps, clearing her throat and covering her mouth with a hand to mask both her nervousness and the small smile that creeps across her face. She quickly regains her composure, hand resting on her hip as she puffs out her chest with every bit of pride she can manage. "I am sure you must be confused, but worry not– your most loyal acolyte has seen the truth!"
The silence is deafening.
She opens one eye, peaking at the bewildered and almost distraught expression of the Divine.
"What the hell are you talking about?"
That..she was not prepared for. Surely they knew who they were! Surely they knew. They had to– she's been praying to them for as long as she's breathed, she's dedicated every hour of her life to living up to their ideals, they can't just–!
"Lady Furina?"
Neuvillette, thankfully, spares her the embarrassment of having a meltdown in front of the Divine, the gentle rap of his knuckles against the door making her and the Divine pause, the soft lull of his voice soothing her nerves and yet setting her on edge at the same time.
"Neuvillette." She clears her throat again, her steps hurried as she marches to the door and pries it open none too gently, a forced smile pulling at her lips. She wastes no time tugging the man into the room, shutting the door behind him with a short huff. The silence is, somehow, even worse then before as the three of them stare at each other in absolute exasperation.
Neuvillette, for his part, manages to get his act together with a sharp clearing of his throat, bowing so low even she looks unnerved. She steals a brief glance at the Divine, and she's taken aback by the uncomfortability twisting their features into a grimace.
Their expression is schooled back into one of empty apathy when he stands back to his full height, but she saw it – she knows she did! Did they not like their worship? Were they not respectful enough? For a moment, she feared the Divine would smite Neuvillette down on the spot..but they just stared at him like he was a ghost.
"Why aren't you killing me?"
The defeated, resigned tone combined with the way their voice cracks makes her heart ache in her chest – it feels as though her entire world is crumbling down at her feet, and she cannot explain why she feels such emotions so strongly, but it is suffocating. It is almost as if Teyvat itself is weeping, bearing down upon her shoulders like a heavy weight.
She feels the urge to weep herself, but she powers through, gritting her teeth long enough for Neuvillette to take his place at the side of her – though it feels more like their – bed, kneeling like he was going to pray.
"Divine One," He offers a hand with a quiet rumble of his voice, the words slipping off his tongue like honey. It's like trying to soothe a stray cat..though she'd never voice such comparisons of the most Divine out loud. "I..we mean you no harm. I swear on my authority as the Iudex of Fontaine and Chief Justice that you are safe with us."
The skepticism she expected, but the reverence in which Neuvillette must convince them – or perhaps they are simply so tired that they simply did not care any longer if it was all some ploy to drive a knife between their ribs. She didn't expect them to actually place their hand in Neuvillette's.
He didn't either, judging by the way he visibly brightened – not that they'd notice, but she did.
..Not that she could really blame him, her heels clicking against the floorboards as she shifted her weight to the other foot with a nervous energy that was practically bursting at the seams, more then a little jealous of the attention he was receiving. She was the one who found them, she was the one who stayed with them the entire time..but he gets all the attention?
How unfair.
"O-of course! We would never lay a hand on our creator," She adds, her voice a little higher pitched then she would have liked as she placed her hands on her hips, puffing out her chest and brushing off the sting of jealousy. "Least of all I– your most loyal, most devout acolyte!"
She felt baffled when she heard the sound of their laughter, her shoulders hunching and her cheeks flushing on mere instinct – she was expecting mockery, but the look in their eyes, still dulled by a pain she cannot even begin to imagine, made her hesitate.
..It was, perhaps, the most genuine thing she'd heard from them ever since before the hunt began.
She wasn't sure why her heart hurt at such an idea, but it was enthralling to see the beginnings of a half hearted smile on their lips.
For a moment, her mask of theatrics was forgotten as she stared at them in a mixture of awe and adoration– and though she didn't look at Neuvillette, she could imagine he must've shared such an expression.
Had she any doubts that they were her Creator, that they alone were the most Divine..they would wiped clean now. There was no mistaking the way the world itself seemed to grow clearer as they glanced up at her like she was worth something.
For a moment, she realized how cold the false Creators gaze had been now that she has felt warmth so gentle it almost made her knees buckle beneath her. It felt like a pale imitation, now.
Nothing could compare to the warmth that spread through her body at the mere semblance of a smile upon their lips. She didn't even mind if it was her they were laughing at anymore, she just wanted to hear them laugh again.
She'd make a fool of herself, if she had to.
She'd never felt so..ravenous for such a thing, but just the briefest glimpse was addictive.
She simply couldn't help herself from striding across the room and clasping their free hand in her own, her smile wide enough to unnerve as she leaned her weight onto the bed. For a moment, she considered pulling away at the way they startled, but her mind was made up by then – there was no going back.
"Again."

Who is the real Creator?
To be honest I had no plans of even adding Wanderer but he casually came in and inserted himself into this story and he is here to stay.
-TW: cult au, yandere, impostor au, mentions of being hunted down, mentions of trauma,
-Gn reader and darling (please tell me if I mess this up message me and I will fix it)
part 1, part 2, part 3, this is part 4, part 5
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Reader woke up with a yawn stretching their limbs and with heavy steps going to the washroom. After they finished their business they turned the stove on to make some tea and prepared breakfast. The morning was rather lovely, the sun was shining again and the birds were chirping and the trees were swaying softly.
They sipped their tea quietly as they watched the scenery outside. With a hum, they packed up their bag with books for today's classes and headed to the Akademiya. One of the perks of being promptly isekai-ed was the instant teleportation. They thought of the teleporter near the Akademiya and white light enveloped their eyes. After a few seconds, the sights changed. Most people had gotten used to their and the traveler's teleportation antics and paid Reader no mind.
They hummed a tune as they headed towards class.
In a rather unexpected surprise, they saw Wanderer, they did not expect to see them today. It looked like he was heading towards them. Reader gave him a wave but their smile fell as they saw the serious expression on his face and not his usual one.
He looked at Reader and nodded.
"I expect you know what this is about, Lesser Lord Kusanali wants to meet you at her office."
Reader tensed and their eyes widened. They tried so hard not to think about yesterday.
The sting of a cut, gold blood, broken old friendships.
They rubbed the thumb they had cut off. Wanderer looked at them with an unreadable expression, he then turned away his head and spoke.
"We can take the longer way so you can get your bearings."
He turned away and started walking. Reader stumbled and could do nothing but follow along. Despite his harsh exterior Reader knew he meant them well. If the situation was not urgent Reader bet Wanderer would have told them to forget it.
Knowing it was a serious matter did not help things. All morning they were in an odd serene calm trying to dissociate from the revelations of yesterday. They rubbed their forehead. Reader hoped they had more time to process the situation and go about their routine before they came to a conclusion or answer or whatever.
All the time while they were walking Wanderer was quiet leaving them to their thoughts. Reader was not familiar with the way to Nahida's office. They must have taken an even longer route as they kept taking certain twists and turns and Reader could swear they entered the same hall as before. It was honestly kind of sweet how he took care of them in his own way.
The sun enveloped his figure causing the decorations on his hat to shine and casting a gentle shadow on his face. Wanderer's face was unreadable but there was something kind in his eyes Reader thought they could see.
Reader sometimes did wonder if he knew it was them who gave him his new name.
Wanderer must have thought he gave enough time for Reader to prepare themselves because they stood still near tall intricately carved double doors. Reader gulped. They did not feel ready at all. Wanderer knocked on the door and Readers heart rate started going faster.
"Please come in."
It was Nahida's voice. It was oddly comforting, perhaps they had gotten too attached to the Archon without Reader knowing it.
Wanderer opened the door and held it open for them. He still had that strange look on his face as he looked at Reader.
As both Wanderer and Reader stood in front of the Archon, Reader took in the office. It was large and spacious and decorated with books (as expected), large glass windows let in the sunlight and it was decorated with plants giving it a welcoming feeling, knowing Nahida it was probably intentional.
Reader tried to distract themselves from the topic that will be discussed. Yet the inevitable would happen.
"I am sure you know what will be discussed so I will cut to the chase," she looked at Reader with a sorry expression, "It will soon be announced that Darling is not the Creator, as you both will know this event will cause wide panic and confusion. I am sad to say this might affect you as well Reader for your safety I hope you will stay here with me until things calm down.
Reader nodded and said nothing further, they could still feel Wanderers staring at them from where he stood. Did. . . he know?
Nahida then stared and Wanderer who took his gaze off Reader to stare back at the Archon. It felt as if both were having a conversation in their minds in the end the Wanderer nodded and left them alone.
Finally, it was just Nahida and Reader.
Reader felt a bit uneasy despite feeling safe next to the archon.
"I know you might need some more time to process what happened yesterday but unfortunately we may not have the time. I want to ask you what you want to do now."
Huh?
At Reader’s confusion, Nahida continued.
“You are the Creator as such you can take your rightful position and rule, you can live in the bigger temples or you can go to other Archons and live with them. Anything you choose I will of course respect.”
Reader was rather dumbfounded. They expected Reader to rule- a rightful position? It really went over their head. They did not want or desire to rule and they had no idea what they would do in a temple Reader was not the ascetic kind. What would they even do in other Archon’s places? Most of them were not kind to Reader.
Nahida was waiting for their reply. Reader wrung their hands and replied.
"Uhh - well, is it okay if I just stay here?"
Nahida blinked.
"Yes of course if that is what you want. Sumeru welcomes you wholeheartedly," she said with a smile.
At that Reader let out a breath and relaxed their shoulders. It seems the daily life that they had built could still be protected.
"Once again I am sorry to say there are still problems that are unsolved namely your identity, I won't force you to reveal it but I do think it is best to tell the acolytes," she said looking regretful.
At that Reader grimaced. Nahida said nothing further and looked and waited for Reader's reply. Reader looked down on their feet.
It would be a smart decision as what they say would have a public sway and it would be best if they were told from the source rather than hear it second hand and later come here and demand answers.
Reader was, still is, scared they were also frustrated. Just for how long are they going to feel like a helpless person? They did not want to continue to run away feeling scared all the time by the people who had wronged them. They should not be the one in hiding and being in fear all the damn time. Reader had enough of running away for a lifetime already.
"Fine they can know but I will be the one to tell them."
At their statement, Nahida looked surprised but she schooled her expression and smiled. She nodded towards them.
"Of course you can, if you need me I will be there with you."
Reader once again relaxed their shoulders and smiled.
"That would be nice thank you."
"There is no need to thank me I would do that for any friend of mine."
Reader's chest felt warm. Honestly, Nahida was just so sweet to them. They felt happy that even in a foreign world they managed to get such a good friend.
"Ohh right since I am telling the acolytes I think I can tell wanderer as a practice run."
"That is a good idea let me get him again he should be waiting outside."
Nahida called over Wanderer who once again stood next to Reader in front of Nahida's desk. Reader glanced at him again and struck while the iron was hot.
"Apparently I am the creator."
Wanderer blinked at them but otherwise said nothing. It was Nahida who spoke.
"How about we take it from the start," she said with a sympathetic expression aimed at the Wanderer.
Reader left Nahida to explain most of it as they had to take a break already from saying the truth and they honestly did not know how to properly explain everything that happened yesterday. By the end of the explanation Wanderer had a thoughtful expression.
"So the real Creator was the one hunted down what a twist of fate," he said and crossed his arms.
He looked a bit contemplative before Reader could say anything Wanderer faced Reader and bent down - no he kneeled.
Reader spluttered and felt like a deer in headlights watching the usually proud Wanderer kneeling.
"H-hey please get up there is no need-"
"I apologize for my earlier behavior it was unbecoming to act in such a manner in front of you, our golden lightning. I hope I did not offend you."
"Wait please get up this is so uncomfortable!"
After Reader said that wanderer got up and did not face them directly. Reader swallowed their saliva and tried to think why Wanderer had such a one-eighty in their personality. They did not think Wanderer would care about the Creator or the status of it from how they talked they were wrong by the looks of it.
To make such a prideful person kneel on a flip of a switch. . .
Once again they had no idea what the weight of the Creator was and what it held for the people of Teyvat.
"I understand I am sorry for the distress I may have caused you," he said and put a hand on his chest and looked down to the floor.
Reader gulped.
"P-please just act as usual, I- you," they paused trying to think of the right words, "When I first came here I was a mess and you helped me, I am the one who should be bowing."
"Please don't it was the least I could do for you as the Creator. Back then if I should have done more."
Reader hated this. When they wanted to tell wanderer they did not expect it to turn out this way. They did not want this weird worship and formal attitude.
"Please stop I don't want this, Not any of this. I wanted you to know because I see you as a friend," they said and clenched their hands.
Wanderer looked surprised at the admission, almost as if taken aback. Reader would have laughed at his face if the tension was not thick. He looked down for a bit and then back at Reader again.
"I will be honest I am not sure how I am supposed to reply, you are our Creator the one we all worship, yet you consider me out of all people a friend. . ."
He trailed off and Reader wanted to retort.
"Of course, I do, when I first came I was a mess and you still took care of chores around the house and bought groceries even if it was on Nahida's orders but you still did it all without complaint and you taught me a lot which you did not have to - all this to say you are a dear friend of me so please don't act so formal and weird. You are a precious person to me and I hope you think of me at least as a friend."
After they were done with their spiel they took a deep breath realizing they were out of air. Wanderer lowered his hat his face obscured but Reader could faintly see his face being red.
. . .
Oh-.
Reader felt the blood rush to their face and they looked away.
Nahida who had watched it all laughed quietly.
"I must say I am quite jealous of you now. You know Hat Guy, it's not every day the Creator themselves expresses their gratitude like this."
At the mention of the silly nickname, Reader relaxed and also laughed.

Tumblr media
Art is NOT mine by: fenkko on Twitter!
Spoilers! Spoilers! Archon quest 3.2
scaramouche x creator reader (could be read as SAGAU )
-
Scaramouche had been defeated, the giant mech falls to its knees, dust and debris flying all around the now quiet room. Nahida starts to approach the fallen mech, breaking the seal, slowly removing the glowing gnosis.
you tell Nahida to stop, immediately sensing his agony as he tried to grasp the gnosis desperately. Straightening up You slowly make your way up to the lost soul,
you can hear his desperate grunts as his finger tips graze the gnosis
You take him into your loving arms, you try your best to comfort the hystericalboy patting his back while in your warm embrace, but he doesn’t let up. He can’t he needs the gnosis he wants that power, but his eyes just can’t stay open any longer…
You know he can’t have the gnosis, your eyebrows furrow as you grab the lone hand away from the floating chest piece, while you speak words of reassurance and comfort into his ears. He whimpers, cries. “Why?” is the only thing filling his mind as the gnosis floats further away and his eyes get droopy.
Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why?! Why!?
He finally passes out the light leaving broke eyes, you give him one last squeeze before turning to grab the glowing bishop admiring the purple hue before handing it to the dendro archon.
You descend from your place in the mech, scaramouche held tightly but gently in your arms,
you hold him with so much care, as if he’ll break with a tap to his heart.
You hold him for the rest of the time, up until he’s about to wake, giving the lone wanderer one last kiss on the head before you make your great escape back to the traveller.

Freedom's Protection: May the Anemo Archon Protect You
Summary: You were chased out by your beloved characters from Mondstadt who thought that you were the imposter that 'stole' the face of the person you remembered who never even exist in the game files. Meanwhile, their own disguised Archon had done something stupid that could change everything forever.
This is the second part of Mondstadt's storyline for the Reader Protection Squad SAGAU series.
Note: There are instances of grammatical errors, please bear with me. Also, the entire layout was now changed and I placed a title on them so I could not be confused while I write the next chapters. It's still the same story though.
Chapters: 1, 2 (current), 3, 4, 5, 6, 7
Tumblr media
You were running for your life, literally.
The people of Mondstadt have finally caught you loitering around while looking for food within the nation's borders, and the Knights of Favonius and citizens alike are catching up to you. Even Acting Grand Master Jean and Master Diluc were there, leading the hunt against you.
You can't believe how Teyvat does Diluc joined forces with the Knights when he was against them since his father's death. They are dedicated to making your life hell, you suppose.
You did not choose this life, but fate always seems to punch you in the gut. Maybe the gods above wanted to make fun of your misfortune, for they even isekai-ed you to a universe where the characters of your favorite game were willing to tear you to oblivion for something you did not know of. You just wanted a peaceful life, even for one moment, and you didn't get it, unfortunately.
When you got stranded in the world of Teyvat by some mysterious means, you were excited at first. You loved playing Genshin Impact and you could say that it was an escape from your lonely and repetitive life. You wanted to see the fantastical world in your eyes, as you were limited by a screen before, looking at the beautiful scenery of Teyvat in the eyes of the Travelers. You even wanted to meet your favorite characters, especially your main one.
But when you first stepped into the city of Mondstadt, expecting the citizens of the City of Freedom with welcoming smiles on their faces, your beautiful dreams were shattered when they chased you out of the city, throwing some things and rotten fruits at you at every corner, shouting about you being an imposter. The Church of Favonius called you a scum of the continent and the Knights of Favonius have been bat-shit crazy to capture you to be executed.
The City of Freedom, my ass.
You have no idea what is going on until you see a big statue in the middle of the city as you tried to calm your breathing, the figure is serene with its arms extended to the heavens, probably pointing to Celestia. But as you squinted your eyes at the statue, you noticed that the statue is different.
You had remembered in your experience of playing Genshin that this was supposed to be Lord Barbatos' huge statue, with his serene face plastered unto it. You may even see a similar face on a certain bard in Mondstadt, probably drunk or playing his precious lyre somewhere, who knows. Venti isn't known for being subtle, for an Archon who wants to hide his true identity, he was sure as flashy and dramatic as he was, especially when drunk.
But you were surprised to see that the statue doesn't have Venti's face on it like it was supposed to. Instead, your face was plastered on it, wearing a fancy robe with a serene look on it. Your jaw dropped when you saw the monstrosity and figured out that this could be the reason you were chased by an angry mob. You look like that statue in front of you, and you presumed that whoever this is, they must be the current god of Mondstadt, Teyvat even. What happened to Venti anyway? Was he replaced or wasn't he an Archon, to begin with in this universe?
You may think this is the wrong Genshin Impact you had been sent to. Gods, why have they forsaken you by throwing you in the wrong one!
“(Y/N)!”
As you were now cornered by multiple people, three green-laced arrows were seen flying toward the surprised Knights, and you could see the look of disbelief in Diluc and Jean’s eyes like they couldn’t believe what they saw. Outrider Amber was ready to strike back, her hands were holding the bow as if she was ready to shoot if necessary, and her sharp arrows were laced with her Pyro. The Spindrift Knight was there too, her multicolored heterochromatic eyes glaring at you and the person behind you with burning intensity, even though Eula was technically a Cryo Vision Holder. Lisa was also there, but compared to the people with her, she was just chilling out there and watching the scene unfold.
You then looked back to see who was the one who shot the arrows and thank them, but your eyes widened in shock as you saw the culprit behind the attack.
Venti the Bard had pointed his Elegy of the End bow towards the people of Mondstadt, his own people, with his anemo-infused arrows which were glowing brightly as it was ready to strike anyone who dares to shoot you with anything. He was accompanied by Razor, Fischl, and Bennett, who were also holding their respective weapons as if posing for an attack.
You were confused as hell when it was revealed that Venti had been willing to fight his people to save you and to prove your innocence, that he was willing to honor his promise to you a while ago.
You remembered your conversation with him a while ago, where he confronted you and honestly told you about your situation. You could even see the sincerity when he told you that he was going to protect you because he was like you, an imposter, who is unlucky enough to share the same face as the Divine Creator of Celestia and Teyvat.
As you remembered, it was not mentioned in the game about the existence of a Divine Creator. Well, the existence of the Primordial One or Phanes in the game lore was closest enough, but you never know that much about the Genshin Impact lore department.
Thankfully, no one was hurt by the arrows, and you had assumed that it was a warning shot to fend your would-be captors off. Venti was still caring for his people even though he was now against them.
"Put your weapons down or you'll be sorry," Venti threatened the Knights with a dark glare, especially to the two leaders in front of him, who were still looking at the Archon-in-disguise in disbelief. You know that these two knew that Venti is Lord Barbatos in disguise due to the Stormterror incident, and you could imagine how heartbroken Jean would be if she found out about Venti's actions towards you. And she did now, you can hear her beliefs shattered in an instant she saw Venti pointing his arrows at her and the Knights.
"Bard, what is the meaning of this?" Diluc asked the hidden Anemo Archon with a confused look, as he could never understand how Lord Barbatos was defending the imposter. Venti just glared back as he spoke in a scathing tone, "You don't know what your doing, attacking an innocent one for something they never did."
Eula scoffed as she regained her composure, "Innocent? Don't make me laugh, insolent bard. That rodent had committed the greatest crime anyone could do in Teyvat! Posing as the Divine Creator, bearing that face?"
Bennett gathered his courage to snap back at the woman, his green eyes glaring in determination to defend you, " (Y/N) is not an Imposter! They are the Divine Grace, and we saw that in our own two eyes."
Lisa had retorted back at the claim, as many people had gathered around them to listen to their banters, "Oh cutie, what if they brainwashed you to believe them? They could be part of the Abyss Order for all we know."
Eula, the Knights, and some of the citizens had agreed with the purple witch's statement while Jean and Diluc just stood there with a conflicted look, "It's impossible for any divinity to become a human, let alone live and mingle alongside humans like they were not divinity, to begin with! The Divine Grace is perfect in any means, so this scum must be an imposter, and those brainless people who imitated the gods must be punished and torn to oblivion, so vengeance will be served!"
The majority of the people agreed with the bluenette's statement, but some are not sure about it. Jean was still looking at the bard with a conflicted look in her eyes, while Diluc placed a hand on her shoulder to comfort her.
"Imposters like them must be eliminated at all costs, for the protection of everyone. And for the Archons, Celestia, and the Divine Grace themselves. They were the lowest of the low, a scum of Teyvat, a scoundrel that needs to be executed."
The young-looking bard felt like he was offended by that statement and decided to retort back, as he bowed his head down his bangs covering his hurt-filled eyes, "So that's what you thought of imposters? Scum of Teyvat? A scoundrel who just takes advantage of others' identity as if they never had the reason why they did that? Is that it?"
You widened your eyes as you realized what he was about to do.
"Venti, don't do it," you warned him, trying to stop what he is going to imply. He may regret it later, and what he was going to reveal will shatter everything that he ever wanted to do ever since he woke up from his long slumber.
But it was too late, he had already glared back at the people infront of him with tears in his eyes, these same people that his bard friend had sacrificed his life for thousands of years ago, his own people he swore to protect...
Is this how freedom is when it was given to his people and was just taken for granted?
"What if your dear Anemo Archon was also like them, an imposter who also steals someone's face?!"
---------------------
I guess that I should stop this here because it's getting too long. I will be posting a continuation someday, that is, if my mind was still chugging some ideas about this angsty SAGAU fic.
Yes, this is Part 2, as Part 1 was the last fic where Venti had a convo with the reader where he confronted them about being an imposter.
So Venti is part of your protection squad in this Imposter AU concept, one of the two Archons who are going to help you. He is usually the mischaracterized character in SAGAU fics, and I wanted to do justice to my boi's character.
After all, he knew the songs of the past, present, and future so he probably knows nearly everything that happened in the timeline. He is also known for taking the form of his friend when he ascended to be the Anemo Archon, so he was also an imposter by any means.
Never intended to end that way, originally I intended to let the Reader run while Venti had sacrificed himself to his people as a distraction. But as I wrote this story, the angsty side of me suddenly pops up.

I don’t know if this is something I READ or something I thought of in passing and just kept forgetting about, but the basic idea is that the things the Creator comes into contact with (mainly literature) is recreated within Teyvat.
But it was more in the sense that even if the Creator hadn’t read the book it would still appear. However, those books that weren’t read would be faded, barely there scribbles that are not discernible and thus not as important to the Creator in comparison to the things they have read.
In that way, I thought how funny it would be that if-and-due to the Creator being a college student there are all these various poems, post-colonial literature, plays, biology, communications, etc just popping into existence and the people of Teyvat believing that the Creator really enjoyed knowledge and the arts.
(Maybe that can cause a long standing argument between Sumeru scholars and those who prefer the arts?)
Would this include the things the Creator writes? Essays and such? Yes, because it is something the Creator interacted with, and no less created themselves!
For me I really like essays, but it also depends on what it is the essay is going to be about, that’s where it can turn from an essay of 10 pages easily or a trudging essay with blurbs. (Just imagine seeing your school essay glorified somewhere as fact and your just there trying not react because you wrote that one thing while sick, and high as a kite at 3 am on a school night; wtf is it doing in that glass casing for all of Teyvat to witness??)
Similarly, if the Creator enjoys reading in general, all those things come into existence even if those things existed by way of technology only, ie. Fanfiction.
So imagine when the Creator descends they are at first confused and then upset because I still have so many things to read! I still have so many things to write! I had a project due in a week! And then stops in bewilderment because —
Wait, isn’t that… isn’t that the novel they had in their To Read list?? Wait isn’t that a story they already read?! Oh no, everyone is witness to your reading habits!!

I knew you'd like the idea >:3
Just imagine the characters having an intervention meeting without the creator and they bring THAT up and the notebook along with it and the entire room just goes to silence and no one know how to bring the fact that close to half of the deaths later on were of their own creator's hands.
You're right though, I def think that Sumeru would actually make the problem worse and potentially cause a relapse in which case another nation takes over and Sumeru is seen as worse or inferior for causing more pain to the creator (like the little hypocrites they are smh)
Imagine there's some pages on the old notebook of just describing how they felt and the reader can see the slow descent to madness as each death happens and it's like forbidden knowledge for them to the point that it actually like becomes risk of being lethal, so they kinda stop looking into it and just try their best to heal their creator and just leave the skeleton in the closet, per say.
I forgot to put my little thing on the last post but here it is again! I have way more ideas for sagau that i will probably never get to write so i'm happy to share them!
🍌anon
🍌 anon I want you to know that I am eating everything up cause MY GOD THE WAVELENGTHS WE'RE HAVING AAAAA
And ohhhhh ohhhhhh forbidden knowledge, your brain rn omg. CHRIST ALMIGHTLY
Some of the notes would actually be forbidden knowledge, especially if we're talking the early ones and if the creator was isekaied before Sumeru's archon quests. Omg- NO ONE CAN READ THE FIRST COUPLE OF EDITIONS, besides for Traveler-
Wait....this just made me realize something. I FORGOT TO EVER THINK ABOUT THE TRAVELER, WHAT ROLE WOULD THEY EVEN HAVE??? OH GOD HOW COULD I OVERLOOK THIS WAIT
Putting a pin in that for later (slamming my head against the wall over this)
But yeah Traveler is probably the one that creator would be closest too, because they have to be the first ones (besides Nahida or Neuvillette) to know the truth. So when the notebooks are found they're the only ones allowed to read it. So they would be at the meeting and conveying what is necessary but also keep the important parts our for the sake of the creator's privacy and to keep the forbidden knowledge from infesting again.
What probably keeps them at an advantage is the language creator uses can only be read by Traveler since Teyvat's language is usually translated for us in game in our own languages.
And also yes Sumeru would be worst, glad we agree. BUT THAT'S ONLY BECAUSE OF THE AKADEMIYA, Azar fucking sucks and would never understand. BUT- if we're talking with Alhaitham being the acting leader then there's a higher chance for them. Especially with the other Sumeru characters being there, and Nahida!! Nahida would be a godsend since she obviously would have the most knowledge, both known and unknown, and also would be able to peer review others ideas based on when she's read the memories of the creator (poor baby got traumatized tho-)
PLUS! Kuni (Wanderer name I use, making sure that's known) being our body guard, ain't no way creator is dying even if it is their wish. Combine that with Cyno also on guard duty and you got a chance of healing way better then whenever Azar (fuck that guy seriously) was in charge.

Your sorrows
Tumblr media
It was clear sky few seconds ago, how did it get dark so fast? the pitter-patter of rain hitting The Beloved Otter room, make them stop swimming and resurface from the little pond "kyuu?" The Beloved titled their head, it's raining heavily.
The Beloved went to the edge of the pond, lifting theirself out of it, standing on their hind legs, they shake out the extra water from their shiny fur.
'Hydro dragon, Hydro dragon, Don't cry'
the otter then on fours, and trot to their door and standing once more to open the door with their paws, The beloved made their way out of their room, on their way to visit a certain ludex.
as the otter peck out of their room, the hallway was to quiet, to quiet in fact and the hallways are dark, and thunder strike once in a while.
'Hydryo Dragon, Hydro dragon, why does the skies weep of your sorrows?'
The little patter of their paws, echo the hallway, too dark, too empty, not once did the beloved see any people or melusines roam the hallways, no chatter to fill the hallway of a busy trial.
'Hydro dragon, Hydro dragon, why do you weep?'
Did something happened? what happened?to quiet, too empty, the beloved pace begin going faster, until their full on running through the hallway.
Until the reach a certain Ludex office, it was slighty open, enough for them to squeeze through the opening.
They squeeze their little head at the opening, too gloomy, too dark, too empty, they can see him, standing there, just still as a statue, his eyes, filled with sadness and guilt, yet why isnt he showing it clearly? "kyuuu?" The beloved called out.
Neuvillette snap his attention at the sound, his face becoming empty again, emotionless, just so no one can see him at his lowest, and the beloved is displease about it.
"ma moitié?" Neuvillette gently called out, The Otter fully enter the office, opening the door a little bit wider, then close it with their right hind leg, walking towards.
Neuvillette kneels down and scoop them up, resting them on his shoulder, nuzzling into their shiny fur, "you always seem to know when I'm at my lowest, ma moitié" Neuvillette mumurs petting their shiny fur gently, taking a seat to the couch.
Neuvillette then took a deep breath, and slowly relax to the couch, "kyuuu..." The beloved coos softly, they pat his cheek, trying to cheer him up, "kyuuu...kyuu" Neuvillette chuckles and sigh quietly, The beloved then curl their head at his neck, letting out a purr.
'It's okay to cry'
Neuvillette eyes widen a bit, staying still, but The beloved didnt notice, continuing to purr to sooth his sorrows.
'It's okay, I won't mind'
Neuvillette's eyes become glossy, as if tears threaten to fall down to his cheeks.
'No one has seen you weep, for the skies is the one who weeps for you'
And that broke him, tears falling down rabidly down his cheeks, he couldn't stop it, no matter how hard he tried, so he hug The otter tighter and closer to him, taking the comforting aura he felt.
The raining stop, and the comforting noise from The beloved otter is what filling the Ludex office.
Tumblr media

Before It’s Too Late - IV (4).
Not much of an author’s note, but I love seeing people interact with my posts. I know the series isn’t getting out there as much as the others, but I appreciate you all!
CW: Very Mild Angst with Xiao.
Tumblr media
"Laila, do you think the other adepti would pick up on your presence? You are one of Teyvat's creators," Paimon asked aloud, which Lumine turned her head to the pixie.
"I know how to keep my presence concealed from the adepti. The archons, however, are harder to hide from. When Carin died, her power split between Mayla and I. When the Archon War settled, the gnosis created gave them a direct line to us. Even if Morax no longer has his gnosis, he still has his archon intuition. It would not be difficult to figure out." She says as the two walked toward Jueyun Karst.
"We're getting close to Moon Carver's bode, aren't we?" Paimon asked as she glanced at the cranes.
"And who might we be? Those that dare enter Jueyun Karst?" A voice boomed from behind them, causing Lumine to look at the adeptus.
"Please take a look at this," she holds out the sigil, causing the creature to look at her hand.
"A Sigil of Permission... Many a season has passed since one has last seen such an item. The one before you is the mighty and illuminated adeptus, Moon Carver. Speak, traveler. What business do you have here?"
"Actually, it's about Rex Lapis. At the Rite of Descension, something must've gone wrong, but his body fell from the sky. He's been killed," Lumine explains. "The Qixing sent out guards to interrogate anyone who watched the Rite of Descension. We don't know if they may be hiding the killer, but we took the journey to tell you of the Geo Archon's death."
"Preposterous..." he says once, seemingly as his mind grew to process the words. "Preposterous! The Liyue Qixing... utterly disappointing. How could someone possibly assassinate Rex Lapis during the Rite of Descension? Let alone place suspicion upon the attendees?!" He went silent and bowed his head to the Traveler.
"Traveler, of the unjust accusations places upon you, one has become aware. Take with you this sigil and this message to the other adeptus. Though one must consult with one's fellows, lest the mind be misguided, the mind knows its answer."
"Who do I look for first? Where do I go?" Lumine asked next.
"Mountain Shaper and Cloud Retainer can be found here. Only fate will decide if you shall find them. There is a Conqueror of Demons, a Guardian Yaksha. Go to Wangshu Inn. There you shall seek him." Moon Carver leaps away, causing Lumine and Paimon to turn away from the adeptus.
"What Guardian Yaksha stays at Wangshu Inn, Laila? Paimon is curious to know if he's like Moon Carver." Paimon says as she follows Lumine.
"Most likely, it would be Alatus. He was a crane I focused my energy into, and I crafted him as my favorite type of bird. However, if Moon Carver called him a Yaksha, then all my work has gone to waste. The best way for me to know what all has changed would be to see him with my own eyes."
Tumblr media
Once the two arrived at Wangshu Inn, they walked to the balcony. Upon not seeing the adeptus, both of them glanced at the sight in front of them. "To the blind, everything may not be as it appears," feeling the intimidated glare Lumine pulled out the sigil.
Watching him glance toward the sigil, he scoffed and leaned back. "A Sigil of Permission? You came prepared. This only prevents me from hurting you myself. However, other ways are not protected by the sigil." Crossing his arms, he looked uninterested already.
Feeling Laila move to one of Lumine's eyes, the traveler placed a hand on her head. "Too much contact with our world is breaking the rules. Mortal souls are not as robust as those of adepti, nor can your blood carry this level of adeptal energy. It's for your own good. Leave. Now."
He disappeared seconds after, not allowing either of them to get a word in. "He left before we could say anything! Paimon's... peeved!" The pixie placed her hands on her hips.
"Well, that would partially be Carin's and I's fault. In any case, I'm sure there would be a way to convince him to stay long enough for the conversation. I only wanted to see him through my own eyes. He's changed so much since I created him. Seeing him like this hurts..." As Laila moved away from seeing out of Lumine's eye, she glanced at Paimon to see if she would say anything else.
"We should ask the boss lady of the Inn to see if she knows anything about talking to the adeptus." Moving downstairs, the two move to the woman Verr Goldet.
"Hello, miss. Can you tell us anything about that adeptus that lives here?" Lumine asked politely, which she nodded, though the information of the adeptus living here meant the Traveler and him have already met.
"You've already met Xiao? Not bad. Rarely he's in a good enough mood to agree to see people." Verr Goldet says with her hands crossed.
"That's his good mood?" Paimon asked in surprise, making the woman nod in response.
"Yes, the adepti are very scarce. Many people go their whole lives praying to them, never once actually getting to see one. When the Geo Archon built Liyue, he borrowed power from the adepti. Most of them only know how to protect Liyue, which is by fighting. This caused human to lead Liyue whilst the adepti lived hidden away on the outskirts." She explains, though Laila was upset to hear those words.
"So that's the reason my sister's soul gem has gotten to be so tainted. No one in Liyue knows the story of the creators. The adepti get the praise whilst my idiotic sisters tied themselves to the world." She mumbled, yet judging by Verr Goldet's facial expression, she couldn't hear any of it.
"Judging by how you're in favor of the adepti, if you keep Xiao in a good mood, things should be okay." The woman says. "The chef can make a bowl of Almond Tofu, and you can make a plate of whatever you're best at making. Almond Tofu is one of the few human foods Xiao likes, but the other dish is up to you."
Walking outside, Lumine glanced over to see the chef. Judging by his stance, he must've been taking a break. "Sir, can you make us a bowl of Almond Tofu?" Lumine asked, though he shook his head.
"I'm on break, kid." He says, though Lumine and Paimon share a gaze.
"But Boss told us to get a plate of Almond Tofu from you," Paimon says next, causing the cook to get up from the railing. Moving downstairs to the kitchen, he makes the food requested.
"So I don't have to make it again if you ask. Here's the recipe." Jotting it down on a slip of paper, Lumine takes the plate and goes up both flights of stairs. Luckily, Xiao gazed upon the land, meaning he hadn't disappeared.
"Xiao, we made something for you," Paimon calls out, causing the adeptus to turn and face them. Lumine gave him the Almond Tofu first, which he accepted. "Quick, tell him everything that happened," she turns to the traveler, who nods in response.
"Xiao, Rex Lapis was killed. The Rite of Descension went wrong, and the Qixing suspect those who watched to be the assassin." There wasn't another way to put it, and as he finished the second dish, he kept quiet.
"In all these years, I would've never thought of a Liyue without Rex Lapis. Just what role do the Qixing have in this?" As he stayed quiet again, he hums for a moment. "I will seek Moon Carver, Mountain Shaper, and Cloud Retainer. It is time they, too, made their decisions."
"Would that mean the adepti take over his role in Liyue, or interrogate the Qixing?" Lumine asked, though the Yaksha's answer was simple.
"The adepti never turn on their abilities. I have my reasons to not want to be tainted by the mortal realm, but responsibilities are responsibilities. Our god is that of contracts, after all."
"Paimon has one more question, Xiao. Dusky Ming... she's..." she trails off, though he crossed his arms in response.
"When conquering demons, occasionally, you can come across spirits who have hurt no one, yet have yet to cross over. I asked the innkeeper and the boss if they could keep her here for a time." He answers.
"So really, Wangshu Inn was looking after her! Really keeping a wide range of business going, huh?" Paimon seemed surprised at the information.
"I will be going now." Xiao turns away and disappears without another word. As the two move toward the bottom of the Wangshu Inn, Paimon seemed to have an itching question.
"Laila, why didn't you say anything to Xiao? Didn't you say you wanted to see him? Paimon noticed you didn't say or look at him," she points out, though she stayed quiet for a moment.
"If I revealed myself to one adeptus, all would know of me being back on Teyvat. Adepti have an indirect connection to Celestia. If I spoke during the conversation, he would hear me. I have no current desires to speak with any adepti. Should I find the reason to reconnect with the world I've abandoned, I would've done so already." It sounded cruel of her to say it, but there was a reason she'd given up.
Tumblr media
As the two made their way to Mountain Hulao, Lumine saw someone praying in front of a lake. "Have mercy, o Mighty Adeptus! Show mercy upon me and my brother!" He pleaded, though the traveler's confusion caught up to him.
"Is everything alright, sir? What's going on?" She asked, which he sighed a breath of relief.
"You must be adepti messengers! Sent here to rescue me and my brother!" The man was hysterical, which confused even Paimon more. "Oh, have mercy, mighty messengers of the illuminated adepti! Save us, I beg of you... my brother and I only came here because our family is poor. We heard tales of treasures hidden in the amber of Mt Hulao." Li Ding explained.
"It was stupid of us, but we wanted to find enough treasure to sell and support our family... Then the amber swallowed up my brother as we came up the mountains! I ran away and made it this far before I realized we were trespassers in the adepti's bode, and this was our punishment." So he wasn't hysterical, just regretful.
"You shouldn't steal from anyone, let alone the adepti. They have a nasty way of getting revenge on someone. If you two came up the mountain when he went missing, then he shouldn't be too far." Lumine says as she looked down the path. "I'll have a look, but if I find your brother, I expect you both to leave immediately." A single glance in the traveler's direction and Paimon knew this must've been Laila in control of her body for now.
"Thanks be to the adeptus of Mt. Hulao and their messengers! Never will we be so foolish again." Li Ding bows at her feet, though the creator didn't like the gesture.
"If you want to prove the truth in your words, there is a statue in Nantianmen, one that has three sisters. If you make offerings to this statue, you will be cleansed of your wrongdoings. Do you understand?" She asked in a somewhat forceful tone. This wasn't the first time she's had to tell someone to do something that should've been learned, but it was gradually becoming a nuisance.
"Yes, ma'am, once I get my brother back, I promise we'll both give to the statue," she says before moving away from the man. As Laila moved to let Lumine control her body again, she receded to her soul to continue working on the seal.
"Laila, I didn't know you could suddenly gain control of my body like that," Lumine says aloud, though the creator stayed quiet. Moving down the mountain, the two checked each amber chunk until they found the one with the brother inside.
"Thank the Archons, you've found me! Thank you, traveler. Is my brother okay, or was he swallowed by Amber, too?" he asked, which Lumine pointed to the top of the path.
"He's the one that asked us to get you. Come on, we'll lead you to him," she says as they started up the mountain's path again. "We found your brother," Lumine says as she watched the two reunite.
"Thank the Archons! I thought I lost you," Li Ding cries, though it seemed the both of them forgot Lumine and Paimon were there.
"Remember what I said earlier about the statue," she says mindlessly, which both brothers nod before rushing down the mountain.

to most, being called into kujou sara’s office by the woman herself is a death sentence.
to heizou? it’s just another tuesday.
her face is harsh as she tells him to take this case seriously, that the shogun herself has asked him to look into it. the plain folder is unassuming, if a little more full than the usual cold cases he’s handed, but the intensity in sara’s eyes is enough to kill any sarcastic remarks.
he takes the folder with a nod and retreats to his office, brushing off some of the dust from his desk. he rarely uses it, typically just taking his work home and solving it over dinner, but this…
his intuition tells him that something major is hidden between the bland beige of the folder, that some large secret awaits him behind the chains of liars.
he flicks on the light—and sends a puff of anemo to clean off the bulb—and sits down, shivering slightly as he sets down the new case. he pulls out his notepad, and a pen—two things he hadn’t used in ages, preferring to keep information solely in his mind. still, he keeps one hand there, opening the case with the other.
green eyes flash with horror.
Tumblr media
its rare for heizou to be tired.
he’s usually good at pacing himself, even on the tough cases that make him want to stay up all night chasing something that’s just out of reach. even then, it’s rare something is both that complex and that appealing; what is a cold case to a genius detective, other than just another tuesday?
still, his hands are cramped—this is why he doesn’t take notes, he thinks—and he has a headache, probably because the light keeps flickering from disuse. his desk is covered with papers instead of dust, the remarkable amount of evidence the tenryou has gathered spread out. he’s long since abandoned the chair, instead preferring to pace around the desk, swapping out the papers in his hands as he tries to chase any lead he can.
anything to lead him to you.
it’s impressive, almost, how the kujou commission could list the exact time they spotted you on the docks, and yet never catch you. every paper is a lead, a small, hairline thread that could lead somewhere, but never do. a few link together—the fact that villagers in konda reported somebody of similar height and build running through the area, and wakamurisaka saying the same—but it was a whole lot of nothing.
it’s suspected you utilize magic. no further evidence.
it’s told you’re an alchemist. nobody says why.
he’s told you’ve somehow replicated a divine aura, something that should be impossible. nobody gives any reasoning for it.
it’s as funny as it is irate.
the light above him flickers twice, rapidly, then dies with a slow hiss. he sighs, throwing his papers onto his desk, and turns off the light switch. pulling open the curtains to his office does little, but it’ll have to do.
heizou turns back to his desk, reaching for his discarded papers, but pauses. in his anger, he’d knocked one page off another, ones he didn’t even know were stacked. he carefully pulls the new page out of the mess, moving near the window to see better.
and just like that, the listless threads coalesce into a rope.
heizou pulls.

watatsumi island is lovely year-round.
it was easy enough to get there, sara easily allowing him to travel after he mentioned it was for the case.
(it wasn’t easy, she had glared at him and threatened to throw him in front of the shogun herself if he was lying, but that was a pretty tame threat coming from her targeting him.)
showing up in front of the shrine out of nowhere would likely raise some alarms, so he opted for the waypoint by the village instead, gliding down towards the path. he walked quickly, opting not to stop and talk to (interrogate) the farmer he passed, keeping a quick pace.
the two guards usually at the entrance were missing, likely because of the higher profile target they were assigned to, but it was still eerie to walk in without any fuss.
the village was fairly empty, likely because it was approaching dusk, and he was able to move through most of it with little more than a few odd looks. it was strange; he’d walked through the village as a formality, but now he was wondering if he should have saved himself the time and gone straight for the shrine.
it’s only just before the bridge leading over that he’s stopped by a guard, and even then it’s only one. strange, as he could have sworn they patrolled in pairs.
the guard—heizou scraped his memory for his name, but came up short—planted himself in his way, tapping his spear against the path. “halt. what is your purpose here?”
“i’m looking for somebody,” he said simply. the guard didn’t seem to react, only staring and waiting for more information.
heizou sighed, pulling the official scroll from his side. he flashed the seal on it, “orders from the shogun herself. i need to speak with the priestess.”
the guard didn’t budge, though his hand tightened on his spear. nerves, maybe? but what did he have to be afraid for…
“then i suggest you wait here. i’ll pass on your message to-“
“hiroyuki? what’s going on here?”
he turned, startled, at the call of his name, and heizou looked over the approaching general. he didn’t seem to be prepared for battle, lacking his usual armor, but he could never be too sure. nonetheless, he returned the nod pointed his way.
“general gorou! what brings you out here so late? shouldn’t you…?”
gorou nodded. so they were hiding something. “i heard somebody from the tenryou commission was here and figured i should stop by. detective, what are you doing here?”
heizou crossed his arms, noting the lack of response. and they expected violence? “i’ve been assigned a case straight from the shogun herself, regarding the current… situation.” gorou’s ear flicked. “to be blunt, i’ve found that the likelihood of the fake taking refuge here to be rather high. i’m not accusing anybody of anything for now, it’s just a statistic, but i would like to ask a few questions.”
another nod. “i see. while i can assure you that nobody at watatsumi island is going against the creator’s orders-“ that’s a rather specific wording “-i understand your duty. hiroyuki, let kokomi know we’re coming.”
the guard gaped. “i- general, are you-?”
“go.”
a silent message passed between them, ending with hiroyuki’s nod and hurried retreat, the bridge swaying lightly as he rushed across it.
heizou watched, ensuring he was going to the shrine. “tensions high?”
“nobody likes seeing an officer around here. with me.”
his words were unnaturally curt, cut short like he didn’t want to talk. he got it, he was a detective for the shogunate that had stirred up some trouble before, but all was well that ended well, right?
(would it?)
he followed gorou across the bridge, noting the almost leisurely pace he took. clearly, they had something to hide, but was it what he was looking for? he didn’t seem surprised when he brought up the hunt…
and then there was the topic of his responses… ‘nobody at watatsumi island is going against the creator’s orders’ answered a total of zero of his questions, and deflected all of them. it didn’t specify anything about the shogun’s orders, nor did it address his accusations of harboring a fugitive. he’d be impressed if it didn’t sound rehearsed.
…’rehearsed’-
the guard by the waypoint nodded at gorou as they approached, shockingly not asking for identification. yes, he likely knew who heizou was, but at least for formality’s sake…
the air grew thicker as they walked over the bridge to the shrine, something heavy weighing on his shoulders. he thought it might be the humidity from the fountains, but all of watatsumi tended to be more humid anyway, and surely he wouldn’t notice now?
gorou knocked a pattern onto the door and heizou coughed as subtly as he could into his hand. the air was thick, taught with a tension he’s never felt and only barely remembers. it was something akin to an office of an authority yet without any of the bite, like he was facing something he feared but was overall harmless, his heart picking up as the air continued to thin-
the door swung inward, the smile on kokomo’s face not quite reaching her eyes. “welcome to the shrine. come in.”
the air inside was warm, nearly hot where he passed by kokomi. something about the room was wrong- right? he couldn’t tell, he could barely think over his heart in his ears, overwhelming familiarity dampening his senses even though he’s never truly been inside the shrine-
a hand landed on his shoulder and he jumped, turning to meet the priestess’ worried eyes. “detective?”
something was off about her. her hand, despite the cool silk, was warm on his skin. something about the concern on her face was familiar, reminiscent of someone he didn’t know but did remember. he flipped through his memory once, twice, three times, but couldn’t pin down why. the closest he got was when he was wished, when the light of his god burned bright in his soul and pulled him into it, leaving him stranded in a sea of stars and- oh-
’alchemy’ made sense now. it certainly felt like magic.
“i think…” his mouth was dry and the warmth in the air was localizing, pointing him past kokomi and towards a door. “i think i’m mistaken, priestess.”
kokomi’s hand fell from his shoulder, the trace remnants of divinity slipping away with it. how interesting, he thought numbly, that simply being near a god could imprint their aura into your skin.
“are you certain? you seemed quite convinced earlier.”
“no, i… i’m certain.” heizou’s hands flexed at his sides, his eyes flicking to the door without his meaning to. his mind raced, but nothing seemed to stick for very long, everything flaking away before he could grasp onto anything solid. “there’s no criminals here, least of all anything… fraudulent.”
kokomi’s eyes flashed. she shifted slightly on her feet, adjusting so more of the door was behind her, and clasped her hands in front of her. “i’m glad to hear it, detective. i send the tenryou my regards, and wish you best of luck finding what you’re looking for.”
he nodded again, sharp wit long since dulled.
“the best of luck to you as well, priestess.”

obligatory childe post ft 4.2 archon quest spoilers and also my incomprehensible ramblings (read at your own discretion)
fontaine left me with a Lot of thoughts about childe even if his screen time was kinda pitiful
it's been opening up a lot of implications for childe's potentional importance to the greater, overall plot of the story though and its driving me up a WALL but more importantly it's made me pick apart his character
which brings me to Fontaine actually being PERFECT for him to have featured in, actually. because the whole damn nation is a theater, a stage for its archon. Hydro has never fit him better because the parallels of focalors/furina to ajax/tartaglia aren't exact but it's pretty damn close. a separation of the "other" (divine in case of focalors, whatever is wrong w childe in his case) and human.
I just think a lot about how Tartaglia is only ever Ajax with family. you really don't see his old name anywhere, he's pretty openly adopted Tartaglia (kinda childe too) as his name literally in every other circumstance. which you can chalk up to just like. well, he's usually on fatui business, of course he'd use his fatui name, but. even with traveler, it's childe.
so. you know. makes me wonder if as far as he's concerned, Ajax is dead. "Ajax" died when he fell down that crack in the ground and something else crawled back out.
which makes me wonder how he'd feel about the Creator calling him Ajax.
conflicted, probably. because you know him well enough to know his old name..but he's not Ajax anymore, is he? he's not the child with a sword in hand trying to play adventurer, he's a Harbinger. he's Childe, he's Tartaglia.
conflicted because he has doubts, even if he'd never voice them, that maybe you like "Ajax" more then Childe.
#sagau#genshin sagau#self aware genshin#genshin impact sagau#self aware genshin impact#genshin cult au#genshin impact cult au#my thoughts on childe are jumbled but I think he is similar to furina/focalors in that he has many faces#he is ajax with his family– the confident sweet older brother who gets them nice gifts and doesnt visit often#but when he does he tries his best to be the older brother they need. ajax is dead and buried in the abyss and he crawled back out#but he tries.#he is also childe. tartaglia. a weapon finely honed by the Tsaritsa that goes where she leads him.#he is a murderer. plain and simple. he is no saint but a sinner just like the rest of the harbingers.#because that is simply who he has become. “Ajax” entered the abyss and Tartaglia came back out. even if it wasnt his name yet#squeezing him i wanna know what Happened Down There#they describe him as hesitant and frightened in one of his stories yet he returns and suddenly hes completely different#3 months in the abyss will do that i suppose#but im just obsessed w his themes of lsot identity (even if its just in my head) and a man being turned into a weapob#WEAPOn#also perfect opportunity for angst and conflict!!#being torn between his loyalty to the Tsaritsa vs reader would be soooo chef's kiss#honestly i think sagau/cult au with characters who arent 100% on board w the creator r so good i eat that shit up#esp if creator is tied to celestia....like ough the angst potential w so many characters like NEUVI UGH#this is getting off track but conflict also w the ajax vs childe situation..#i dont havr the words to sufficiently describe it but ough.............#just thinking abt childe being called ajax by the creator..a name hes mostly abandoned......#like if we go w my crackhead idea of him considering “ajax” dead i know he'd be so distraught but just bottle that shit up and smile#because if you wsnt ajax then he can be ajax!!!!! (please dont leave him hes senstive and has abandonment issues and separation anxiety)#desperate little puppy man (he is covered in blood and viscera bc he just killed a man and brought him to you expecting praise)#like a cat bringing you dead birds and mice.

Who is the real Creator?
Hello! I have a bit of an announcement to make I don't think everyone has seen the previous post but an anon asked me if I will continue the series and to be honest I don't think I will. This series was made on a whim and was really fun to write except I hit a roadblock. I am unsure where to continue with this I feel like I have written enough and not sure where to go from here story wise, that is why I decided to discontinue the story. Thank you everyone who commented and liked I enjoyed seeing your guys reactions. For now this is the last chapter. If I ever decide to continue this or make a new series I look forward to seeing you guys there!
-TW: cult au, yandere, impostor au, mentions of being hunted down, mentions of trauma, self harm (nothing major), OOC character
-Gn reader and darling (please tell me if I mess this up message me and I will fix it)
part 1, part 2, part 3, part 4, part 5, this is part 6
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The beat of their heart was as loud as a drum. Reader could even feel their head vibrate in tandem with the marching drums they had heard before when they were younger. Their vision felt blurry and their head was light. The fading sun outside the windows caught their eye. Reader felt nauseous.
They were such a coward they had left Nahida and Wanderer to clean up after them as they ran away. Reader wanted to help her not add more trouble yet here they were weak and unable to speak.
Distantly they heard a gasp.
"Reader! Are you okay? Oh no- Traveller come quick!"
Two blurry figures came closer to Reader. They idly noted one of the figures was floating. . . Ohh, it was Paimon and Aether.
Seeing the two somehow calmed them down and they tried to take deep breaths. With a calmer and clearer mind, they noticed that both stared at Reader with worried expressions.
Reader gave a wry smile.
"Hi Paimon, hi Traveller."
The two said nothing staring at Reader and then at each other coming to an agreement of some sort.
"Paimon thinks you should sit down first," she said, trailing off and looking down.
Reader also noticed Aether was looking down as well to the side, it was then it dawned on Reader they were looking at their sliced palm. They subconsciously tried to hide it but stopped midway bringing it forward towards the duo.
"I guess you two were also summoned but were late haha," they said with a flat laugh.
Traveler continued to look at them with a worried frown and Paimon who usually had a positive expression looked even more worried. Reader's wry smile seemed not to work sadly.
"P-Paimon is still not sure what is going on but Paimon thinks you should sit down first. . ."
"I agree let's get you somewhere to rest first."
Aether reached his hand out as an invite and Reader felt too weak to reject him. He took their hand and guided them further down the hall towards a seating area where guests could sit. There Reader was able to sit down and calm down.
"Thanks, I do feel better."
Aether smiled and nodded while Paimon's eyes sifted from looking at them and then at a wall.
"Uhm- so Paimon has been wondering. . ."
It was obvious what she was referring to. They held the sliced palm with the other hand almost cradling it.
"Sorry, I did not mean to keep it from you guys. . . I just found out recently as well, I-I hope you are not mad."
"What! Why would we be mad? You are the creator- Oh no should we bow?" Paimon said looking at Reader then around as if someone would pop up and admonish her.
Traveler shook his head at his companion's antics and gave Reader a sad smile.
"I hope you can forgive out-"
"Oh no stop there!"
Reader jumped out quickly from their seat causing the duo to step back (the other to float back) in shock. Reader stepped forward and looked at them with a serious expression.
"I don't care if I am some creator or whatever and I don't care about that formal shit, especially when you two are my friends!"
Reader was not sure where this outburst came from. Was it because of the stressful day? Was it having to see people you did not like or was it because of having to watch Wanderer act subservient for so long?
"So no your grace or bowing!"
The two still looked aback. Suddenly Reader felt embarrassed shouting at them when they were concerned about her.
"W-well uhm, sorry, yeah I should not have shouted. . ."
Reader wrung their hands together but stopped when they noticed the sliced palm. They looked down at their shoes.
"Paimon. . . Paimon thinks of you as a friend too," she said and her cheeks turned red.
Reader smiled at her and Traveller sighed but gave the floating girl a smile.
"If that is what you wish for then who are we to say no?"
He sounded a tad bit too formal for Reader but it would have to do for now.
"None of that now, how have the two of you been?"
Paimon opened her mouth about to answer Reader's question but she was interrupted unexpectedly.
"Your Grace-"
Reader's heart skipped a beat and not the good kind. The calm they experienced before was gone and their body froze again. The one who spoke was unmistakably the retired geo Archon. He looked frazzled and looked at Reader in a way they could not decipher.
"Your grace I. . ."
"That is enough I had already told you they were not ready to talk to you yet."
Nahida came afterward it looks like she rushed over to where they were. Her face was stern and it looked so out of place compared to her more relaxed and curious features. Reader's stomach clenched. Zhongli looked as if he wanted to argue with her. His face took on a harsher stance as he looked at her.
No.
They would not let him.
"Whatever it is you want to say it's with me leave her out of this."
Their hands were shaking but they held them together. Nahida looked surprised at them and Reader wanted to reassure her it was going to be alright. Aether from his side approached them and stood between the Archon and Reader. The implication that he was willing to defend them from one of the strongest beings in Teyvat was not lost on Reader. They did feel safer by having him on their side and Paimon as well.
"Your grace I," Zhongli paused his gaze on Reader with a guilty look that made them feel uncomfortable, "If I had known if only. . ."
"That does not matter anymore," Reader interrupted him.
He looked at them and flinched.
"Save your what 'ifs’, you did what you did and I won't forget it."
The unexpected venom that came out of Reader surprised even them. Zhongli had taken to look down he looked ashamed, how dare he? Now he wants to act all guilty. Reader scoffed.
"You have done enough damage for today, I suggest you leave neither me or the Dendro Archon are in a mood to deal with you," Reader said and crossed their arms.
They idly wondered if the meeting had gone awry for her to come here. Nahida looked thoroughly surprised.
Zhongli opened his mouth to speak but Reader beat him to it.
"That is all I have nothing more to say."
"I think I will take it over here with Mr. Zhongli and the rest."
They nodded at Nahida. Reader tugged at Aether's scarf for him to follow them.
.
.
.
They entered Reader's new room and their muscles went lax. It felt though as if they had carried a heavy boulder. They threw decorum away and sat on their desk stool.
"Sorry, I think I need a bit of rest."
"It's okay Paimon doesn't think anyone would handle talking to a guy that tried to kill as well as you did."
Aether glared at Paimon and she jumped up in the air while still floating.
"Maybe Paimon should not have said that. . ."
Reader looked at her and shook their head with a smile.
"It's okay, you sort of reminded me I did something pretty cool huh?"
Paimon's expression eased and she nodded.
"While Zhongli is our friend what he did to you was unforgivable so Paimon thinks he ought to get kicked around for what he did."
"Heh, it seems like you can speak some sense from time to time."
It was Wanderer who had entered when the door was still unopened. Paimon did look angry at his remark.
"You! What do you mean Paimon always says things that make sense!"
"Yeah sure," he said with a mocking smile and crossed his arms.
"You came early did something happen?" Reader spoke.
Wanderer uncrossed his arms and shook his head.
"No Lesser Lord Kusanali came back with the funeral consultant and told me to look out for you."
Ohh, Reader's heart melted a bit. They really had a good friend, next time they should make her something as thanks.
"Paimon has a question are you planning to announce it to everyone that you are the creator?"
Aether looked at Reader more intently as well. It seemed he was interested in the topic.
"No, I rather not, we decided to let the acolytes know for now their words hold some sway if they could calm the public down after the 'fake' left."
Aether had a thoughtful expression and nodded at Reader's answer. Perhaps he guessed Reader was not in the mood to talk about this particular topic and left it a that. Reader was once again thankful for their friend's thoughtfulness.
"Sorry for all the drama today take a seat what have you two been up to?"
Aether smiled and sat down while Wanderer ever the polite one bought fruits and left to get some tea. The Traveler and his companion told them of the many new adventures they had and the people they met. After Wanderer came back with the tea all of them sat down and listened as Paimon did a dramatic retelling of a recent commission they took on.
"I see everyone is having a fun time."
"Nahida!" Reader went out of their seat to check on the Archon.
"I hope there was not too much trouble are all right? Did something happen?"
"No worries I am fine and nothing happened it took a while to convince some to leave, there were acolytes who wanted to meet you."
Reader grimaced.
"Yeah sorry, next time I won't run away like that."
Nahida shook her head.
"No, it is part of my duty, there is no need for you to do it if you don't feel like it."
"You shouldn't have to shoulder this," Reader argued.
"Lesser Lord Kusanali is right if you are not ready it might do more damage to your health," Wandered interjected.
At that Reader could only be silent. They felt so helpless.
"For now let Nahida handle it you can be there and see how much you can handle," Wanderer said after sighing.
Reader wrung their hands together and looked at Nahida with a guilty look.
"If it's okay with you could I?"
"Only if you think you can handle it."
For now that would be their solution.
Reader ushered Nahida to take a seat and poured her some tea. Paimon took it upon herself to start over her tale once again since Nahida was there and the Wanderer scoffed at her which caused them to bicker for a few seconds. Reader could only laugh behind their hand. The rest of the day was spent comfortably talking.
"It is getting late Paimon doesn't want to intrude any longer."
The Traveller nodded as well.
"Wait you both could stay in my room?"
Traveller and Paimon looked surprised.
"We don't want to interrupt your resting time there is also only one bed."
"The bed is big enough for all of us we can have a sleepover?"
Reader wrung their hands together. It was just, they did not want to sleep alone today.
Traveller and Paimon looked at each other they must have had a silent conversation.
"If you are okay with it Reader."
"Yeah it would be nice I haven't had a sleepover in a long while Nahida and Wanderer you could join in if you want to." They said with a smile.
"I've never had one before but I would love to try it out."
Wanderer was silent for a while before he quietly answered.
"I will join then. . ."
Reader smiled it almost hurt their face. They gathered a lot of pillows and extra blankets just in case. Reader took the middle while Nahida was to the right and Paimon to the left. Respectievly Aether took Paimon's side and Wanderer slept next to Nahida. It really did feel like a huge sleepover. Reader slept soundly that night sourrended in warmth.
Extra:
Reader felt warm and fuzzy images of Christmas lights surrounding their vision. the lights were blurry and smudged. Gentle snow started to fall blanketing the ground in white. The blanket that surrounded them kept them warm and they snuggled closer to it.
The stars above twinkled and They watched with interest as they changed shape and colour. Then a star started to fall, no it was a snowflake. A huge giant snowflake was falling towards Reader and they tried to struggle but it was in vain as the blanket held them in place. With horror they watched as the snowflake landed on their head.
It was rather soft and it did not hurt but the snowflake was beginning to limit their breathing. Reader tried to open their mouth to breathe in more air.
With a gasp, they woke up.
The thing smothering their face was not a snowflake or anything nefarious but rather Paimon herself. Somehow she had ended up on their face. They struggled to shake her off and after a few seconds of prying she rolled off to the side.
She was still asleep her mouth open and she mumbled something about food no doubt.
Reader sighed.
They blinked a few times as they looked out to the window where the sun was shining. It was already morning.
Reader was rather in a bind, literally. Nahida had curled up in her chest, she looked so small and cute Reader’s heart melted and they wanted to pat her head. Their feet somehow got tangled up with Wanderer’s and to the side Aether was hugging their arm.
They could not get up.
”If I was in a different room I would still be able to hear your squirms.”
It was wanderer who woke up. His voice was hoarse. Now that they thought about it Reader had no idea if he could sleep or if he even needed to.
”Sorry,” they said whispering.
Wanderer sighed and came closer towards Reader shutting his eyes.
Wait, was he not going to get up at all?
