SAS: Red Notice now on the STARZ App known as SAS: Rise of the Black Swan is a 2021 British action thriller film directed by Magnus Martens and based on the novel SAS: Red Notice by former British soldier Andy McNab. SAS (Special Air Service, essentially the British Army's counterterrorism). SAS: Red Notice is a version of Die Hard in a train tunnel. It follows the basic premise of a man with certain skills being in the middle of a terrorist attack. Some critics in the UK 🇬🇧 were not delighted with the SAS: Red Notice film.

Tom Buckingham: The fictional character (SH), a high-functioning psychopath, making him a highly skilled soldier (in the book), but Sam's performance in the film as an ex-SAS officer is unlikely, He just isn't handled well enough and SH is quite dull in his performance at the film and doesn't do a good job of making you care about him. With inept action scenes, the film does Heughan no favours. He should continue with Outlander.

SAS: Red Notice was the kind of film that failed as an action experience, which was the least it could do. If you've already read the book, do yourself a favour and read it again. SAS: Red Notice is a very forgettable and pretty poor film.

Heughan considered the role because he felt handsome and fit, but his character was played as an emotionless robot. However, Bond has emotions and a sense of fun, but Buckingham lacks that. Heughan's supporting role in The Spy Who Dumped Me was a better potential Bond skills 😂

Let’s talk extreme shippers ……let’s talk haters , let’s talk about LIARS

I don’t know anyone who has every watched OL, the first 2 seasons in particular, who didn’t wonder about Sam and Cait- even the very casual fans. The chemistry between S & C was off the charts.

Then- you watched their interviews and you saw obvious flirting - FROM BOTH LEADS. You saw sly looks and silly giggles. You became entranced by them. They looked great together.

Then you followed them on Twitter- and the expectation and excitement that they were an item off screen grew. It was so obvious, right?

Then it all came to a screeching halt with the IFH…and sadly, the OL has never been the same since.

We fractured into groups.

I ask myself - what the hell happened? What was I watching those early years. I didn’t imagine the flirting. It was obvious - the question is WHY?

1) Was it all just a premise to sell a show on a relatively small network?? Did someone who realized that Sam and Cait had wonderful real chemistry decide to manipulate that chemistry and SELL SELL SELL? Perhaps. If so, it worked, until it backfired.

2)Did two unknown, obscure actors get caught up in the wonder and romance of it all, alone, just the 2 of them in their OL bubble- experiencing for the first time things that only each other could understand? Did they for a small time play with the idea that maybe they could be a modern Jamie and Claire in real life? Perhaps. Who hasn’t had a crush on a co-worker before?? Imagine being in their shoes . I can see it. Yes, Cait was dating Tony..but not necessarily exclusively. Who knows, it’s possible. Is it probable? 🤷🏻‍♀️

3)And then we have the Shipper version- Sam and Cait fell in love, secretly married, and have various secret children. And Tony is just her assistant. Let’s be honest - it’s a nice picture, a nice illusion..really nice . But somewhere along the way, most of us dropped this illusion. For most of us, the ship started leaking , flooded, and sank.

-Most fans dropped it after the IFH. A verra sad day.

-Many dropped it after Cait’s engagement

-More dropped it after the wonderful wkd when Cait married Tony.

-And the last lingering shippers (with any sense at all) dropped the illusion after the emergence of the marriage certificate. I mean- a legal document should sink even the sturdiest of ships.

And during call this time, several years-, fans kept fracturing into groups, into corners. And …sadly….we also saw an inevitable separation between Sam and Cait. Gone was the banter. We missed it. We missed them. At least, I did.

And with all the fracturing, fans were pointing fingers at each other. Some blamed Sam. Some blamed Cait. Some blamed STARZ. And rumors spread like wildfire. The accusations. The blame. The fracturing.

So…here’s where I stand.

I don’t know why Sam and Cait acted like they did early on. But it was BOTH OF THEM. We saw it. But does it really matter why? It’s over.,what good does it do to blame one or the other? It’s done. If you were over invested - and got hurt- that’s on YOU. If you somehow feel betrayed by two people you don’t even know- you need to revaluate your priorities..

Cait is married to Tony. There is legal proof. It’s REAL.

Cait and Tony had a baby. They are the parents. Congratulations to them.

Sam and Cait were once at least very good friends. I hope they still are. I think they are..,BUT I also think they keep their friendship OFF social media. They must. Every interaction is documented, obsessed over, criticized, exaggerated, etc….. But at best, they are JUST friends.

At some point it was decided to stop feeding the shippers , and unfortunately that meant an end to the fun banter we all enjoyed..because some fans STILL couldn’t separate reality from fiction. Couldn’t separate Sam and Cait from Jamie and Claire.

And still, there was blame, accusations.

All this - “Sam has ignored Cait on SM” BS.

He’s not ignoring her. It’s intentional. It’s what they both want. Subsequently, Cait took a break….who could blame her? It was all to try to get fans to realize that they are two people completely separate from the fantasy of OL. She became very private with her personal life. Why the hell wouldn’t she? Why wouldn’t Sam? “Fans” make up shite about them all the time…about both of them, about their significant others , about Cait’s husband. Who can blame them?

Cait has her life.

Sam has his life.

They are two very different people. And it’s possible to be fans of both. Imagine that.,

And the truth is - WE DON’T KNOW EXACTLY WHAT WENT ON OR WHY? And likely we never will. STOP BLAMING them for what you believed.

To the haters who think it’s somehow Sam’s job to quiet the remaining shippers…NO ITS NOT. Good Lord- if people can’t see reality at this point, Sam jumping in to defend Cait and her child would be throwing gasoline on the shipper fire creating a blazing inferno……Jamie Fraser to the rescue- waving his sword. How sweet, protecting his wife 🙄

It’s NOT about Sam.

It’s NOT his place.

It’s NOT his story.

Cait most likely doesn’t want Sam involved at all.

It’s the story of Cait, Tony, and baby boy. That’s reality. It might not be what many wanted… but it’s the truth. Deal. With. It.

One final thought….I find it very ironic that many who are SO VOCAL about the damage the extreme shippers cause , the turmoil and stress they cause Cait in particular, seem totally clueless that LIES ARE LIES. The lies shippers sell are no worse than the lies the haters and bullies post about and discuss on a daily basis. And ALL these lies HURT. They cause pain. They cause mental illness. Lies are lies . None worse than others, whether they are spread on shipper blogs or hater blogs. They are the same.

Do I think Sam’s acting skills and talent are on the same level as Caitriona Balfe’s? Absolutely, and I have no doubt about it! I also have been disenchanted with many of the award shows and how they select their nominees for awhile now, even though I’ve been happy and thrilled for Cait with the recognition she has received for her portrayal as Claire Fraser in Outlander. I totally understand the frustration and disappointment of many Sam fans around the world. Because Sam is very intriguing, an amazing talent 🎭 and super engaging!!! He has put Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 back on the map 🗺 as tourism has grown there from the popularity of Outlander and his character, Jamie Fraser. Sam is one of the best ambassadors for his home country because of his love, enthusiasm, and loyalty for Scotland. I admire that about him. But, I don’t think going after BAFTA Scotland in an angrily tone and tagging them on social media is very helpful to Sam’s cause in being recognized for his fine acting and talent or his contribution in the entertainment industry. The most important thing is just to continue to support him in every way possible with a positive attitude and outlook on his future endeavors. I do have faith that Sam will be rewarded and recognized more someday for his hard work when it comes to the actual awards that will be meaningful and impactful. He deserves it!

I’ve read a lot of complaints today about Jamie’s season 6 wig. Why am I not surprised?

First, let me suggest perhaps being happy to actually see a season 6 promo picture.

Secondly- let’s all take a very fast trip down memory lane and recall the truly hideous wigs of seasons 3 (after natural hair) and the absolute horrendous wig in season 4.

I think season 6 Jamie looks fantastic . And more importantly, I think the man who portrays him looks fantastic. The haters must absolutely hate that lol. We know they do 😂
