A message from the Syrians to the international community to lift the sanctions on Syria.

Yesterday we were hit by an earthquake measuring 7.7 on the Richter scale, and we all took to the streets at 4:00 am, and it was raining heavily. On a stormy night, some people slept in the streets and more than 900 deaths were documented

For the past 12 years, the Syrian people have been living under the weight of sanctions imposed by the United States of America and many Western countries, with only an hour of electric feeding per day, no fuel, no gas, no medicine, and no medical aid available in pharmacies.

Today, we expect the international community to lift its sanctions on the innocent Syrian people and to save them from endless injustice and suffering. We need rubble removal vehicles and equipment, fire trucks and ambulances

We are not a barbaric people, we are from a civilized country that has provided humanity with a lot, but your sanctions, which contradict international law and the principles of humanity, were a reason for stopping the wheel of development. They prevent us from rebuilding our country after the war. You punished people and forced them to emigrate
