Thoughts regarding the ending of Penacony’s 2.0 story
Starting off with a heartbreaking scene so if you haven’t encountered any sadness yet during your playthrough, time to look away because spoilers ahead:
Now then, starting off with that scene, I can’t say I was too surprised to see it happen. Not only did I catch a clip of Firefly’s unfortunate end before I personally made it to the cutscene myself, but red death flags were already sprouting up everywhere before the update even released and trailers mentioned how Penacony would be a “heartwarming and uplifting story” and that we’ll be having a “fun vacation.” Ha, lies! Knowing that this death was coming didn’t make the scene any easier to watch of course. This poor girl. I really want to hope she’s okay since this happened during a dream and no actual body was left behind, but aahh. (disappear among a sea of my own tears)
With the way Black Swan & Acheron were chatting afterwards along with Trailblazer’s completely heartbroken reaction however, it makes the loss seem even more believable. Seeing Black Swan try and comfort us was something that I’d expect from her character, but from Acheron? I was pleasantly surprised. I know next to nothing about her HI3 & Genshin lookalikes or how they act, so based solely on appearances I thought Acheron was going to be the quiet and reserved type. While she does seem reasonable chill at times, learning about how poor she is with her directions and memory was fun and seeing her comfort us after this moment was really sweet of her, even to go so far as telling us it’s okay if we’re mad at her for not acting quick enough to stop the attack and how she paid tribute to Firefly in the real brief cutscene (^cover photo. also, she’s so pretty)
Seeing the selfie left behind afterwards is just another critical hit on all our hearts, especially with Robin’s song playing softly in the background once more. (we ain’t smiling anymore now are we??)
I don’t remember too many details about the hotel journey we go on afterwards aside from seeing those echos of Firefly (I forget what they were called, but it reminded me of the Cocolia & Bronya we saw on our way up to Everwinter Hill for the first time) but hearing that Firefly was speaking to someone else while wandering through the dream was suspicious, especially with the mention of “Mecha.” Speaking of which, I didn’t expect us to fight Sam so soon. He was a bit of a pain but thankfully none of my team fell. Also gotta admit his theme was good. (bro I’m already heartbroken, what more do you want from me?)
I am kinda bummed that we don’t know the outcome of the fight between Sam & Acheron. The short cutscene we got of it was pretty nice, so it was bittersweet that Black Swan saved from that. Didn’t get a moment to relax though because we encounter this shady man right after.. (darn him for being so handsome)
The difference between the Aventurine we saw letting loose during the “White Night” trailer and the conniving fruit loop we have the pleasure of chatting with in game is insane and I love it. As if I wasn’t already wary of this man, now he’s getting different colored text! First Acheron with red, now him with yellow. Sure the color choice itself doesn’t seem that threatening, especially since it’s the same whenever we see Kafka’s spirit whisper, but there’s gotta be some meaning behind the colors and I’m irked we didn’t get a clear answer for it during this part of the story, but that’s just something else to look forward to with upcoming versions. Also, what he’s hinting at, with Acheron being the cause of all this? Bro I don’t wanna believe that! I really like her! (and if he knows then why is he letting things happen like this??)
The Acheron stuff is hard for me to believe at the moment, but the news about Duke Inferno and his followers? That’s a bit easier on my mind. I’m not the biggest fan of the Ever Flame Mansion, as we don’t know too much about them and haven’t officially met them yet, but hearing that Duke actually died offscreen before we even got the chance? Wow. (oops)
Black Swan, honey, I’m not sure who to trust anymore okay? I came here for a fun time and I’ll I’m getting is creepy vibes and tears. We should really stay away from hotels. People are always trying to hurt us; first Belobog, now Penacony. But again with the colored text! If yellow means truth, does that mean Acheron’s red were all lies? Or are they trying to trick us and it’s the other way around? Or perhaps their meanings are something complete different. Regardless, the colors are giving me anxiety. I do love how something so simple as a change in color can grab our attention so effectively though. (they're both lucky they're attractive)
And the danger keeps on coming because we got not one, not two, but three deaths! This time of the lovely Robin. (what managed to hurt her like that I wonder? “Death” again?)
I think one of the worst things about this scene is that Aventurine presents us this sight so proudly, saying that there’s no way for us to deny his offer, less we want this to happen to us as well. He’s just so calm about the entire situation and makes me want to slap his pretty face. (someone warn Ratio to stay out of his bathtub)
The other horrible thing about that scene is that it ends! The game smacks us with a “To be continued” and all we’re left with are many concerns and questions! Fortunately (or unfortunately), we get another quick scene soon after with Sunday and.. Robin. Of course the ??? was a bit strange to see, considering we did meet her previously, but given what we just witnessed, it’s odd nonetheless. For a moment, I believed that maybe this was the real Robin, since her voice didn’t sound distorted and broken like it was before, or perhaps Robin was just her artist name and we don’t know her real name. (“again” huh? how common is death here?)
As it turns out, I’m just stupid and didn’t even think for it to be Sparkle impersonating the singer until Sunday mentioned the fool herself. If I ever crossed paths with her, she’d end me effortlessly. (“chicken wing boy” is a brilliant name)
With how popular Robin is, it’s gotta be tough for Sunday to walk anywhere in Penacony now without seeing her face or hearing her music. This man might go insane. (we don’t need the reminder that she’s “gone,” thank you)
At least she’s willing to help keep up Robin’s appearance so there’s not a massive panic before the festival? She sounds a bit too happy though. I can’t tell what she’s up to but she seems to enjoy all the chaos. (I do agree; his pierced wing looks great)
Sunday stays relatively calm throughout the conversation, but there are moments when you can hear how frustrated he’s becoming, along with that last laugh of his, and honestly it’s getting me kinda worried. I feel like he’s got some crazy plan to set things right, like Cocolia level crazy. (do explain how a funeral is “good news” sir)
And that’s where we truly end for now. Let the waiting game begin. In the meantime, someone let Hoyo know that they managed to break many hearts. (the song really is beautiful though)
All that’s left are the several little missions and the new Black Swan/Sparkle companion quest that I have to get through.

Avengers Cast x GN Reader Black
Request- avengers Cast x GN reader (and can you make him black please) story with him being new to filming and during an interview they show funny videos of R's YouTube videos (they do gaming videos mostly) and they see them playing horror games and cussing up a massive storm and the last video they show the cast is of R and their new movie with Sam L Jackson.
You are in your trailer and you have on a hero suit. You took a selfie and you are feeling nervous and your mind starts to panic. This is your first time being in a Marvel movie and it's a huge role for you. You hear a knock on the door and you opened the door.
“Hey, what are you doing here?” You asked.
“Came to see how you are doing. Looking good, Y/n” Samuel said.
You will be in the Avengers movie and you will do scenes with Samuel L. Jackson. He became your mentor and he does give you good advice.
“Thanks. I don't think I will do a good job” You said.
“Why? Have you been reading those racist comments?” Samuel asked.
“I saw a few on my Instagram account and Twitter,” You said.
“Y/n, fuck them. You are a good actor and you deserve this role. Fuck those haters and especially those racist bastards. It can be hard being black and an actor, but if you keep listening to them then you won't get far in Hollywood” Samuel said.
“You always know what to say but thank you. I won't pay attention to those assholes” You said.
“Good. Let's go on set, they are about to start” Samuel said.
“Okay,” You said.
In the movie, Nick Fury recruited your character to help the Avengers. Your character is an anti-hero. With some members of the Avengers, you won't get along but will be forced to work together. This is the biggest role you ever got, you didn't believe it at first that you got the role.
Before filming your scenes, you met the cast at a dinner party. You get along with them and Samuel is always making you laugh. Sometimes it's hard to film with Samuel and Paul Rudd because they are always making everyone laugh.

You are home because of the pandemic and everyone had to stay home. You decided to start a Youtube account. You will mostly play video games with other people. You are playing Fortnite with Brie and Samuel. You are having a competition with them to see who will get the most kills.
“Are you fucking serious, Brie!?” You yelled.
She starts to laugh “I had the shot so I took it, Y/n”
She killed your character and Samuel starts to laugh.
“Nice shot,” Samuel said.
“Brie, we are not friends,” You said.
She laughed again. You did get your payback and you killed her character then Samuel’s character.
“Motherfucker!” Samuel yelled.
You were in third place, but killing their characters you jumped to number 1.
“Brie, let's team up and kill this motherfucker” Samuel said.
Brie starts to laugh and you couldn't help to laugh.
“Yeah, I will team up with you” Brie laughed.
“Fuck. You two are cheating” You said.
“It's not cheating to kill our enemy, Y/n,” Samuel said.

You and the cast start to go on tour to promote the Marvel movie. You and the cast on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Stephen is asking questions about everyone’s role in the movie. Now he asked more questions... He asked, everyone what they did during the quarantine.
“We have a video of Samuel and Y/n, playing on YouTube” Stephen smiled.
“I can picture him yelling at a game” Chris Evans laughed.
“No one can deny that,” You said.
“Oh, I want to see this. And by the way, Y/n is a cheater at fighting games” Paul Rudd said.
“Lies!” You yelled.
“Samuel, what did you play with Y/n,” Stephen said.
“We played a game called devour. It's a survival game multiplayer. And we had to stop a possessed cult leader before she dragged us to hell with her” Samuel said.
“And did you and Y/n beat the came?” Scarlett asked.
“Well...” You said.
“We have a clip of them playing,” Stephen said.
They showed the clip of you and Samuel playing a horror game called Devour... A monster came out of nowhere and you and Samuel started to curse...
“That bitch gave me a fucking heart attack. It jumped out of nowhere” You said.
You and Samuel start to fight the monster and curse even more...
“Motherfucker! I just got killed by a fucking spider. Y/n, why you didn't fucking help me” Samuel said.
“She fucking killed me then another ugly fucking monster killed me,” You said.
“Pussy” Samuel said.
Everyone laughed at the video.
“Did you and Samuel beat the game?” Stephen asked.
“No, we didn't finish the game. Because Samuel got scared and we stopped playing” You joked.
Everyone laughed again.
“Are they always like this?” Stephen asked
“Filming with them is hard because they are always making us laugh when they argue with each other” Cobie said.
“I have to agree with her. One time, I laughed too hard because of them that I almost peed on myself” Chris Evans said.
“Get to laugh more because I have a clip of their new film,” Stephen said.
The clip starts to play...
“You almost shot me!?” You yelled.
“You are still alive, so your welcome motherfucker!” Samuel yelled.
“What!? I won't say thank you! Because of you I almost got shot and my car blew up” You yelled.
You and Samuel kept arguing with each other. Then he smacked you hard in your face and you smacked him back, then it happened again one more time. Then he takes your gun away
“Wow, that was a lot. A lot had happened” Stephen said.
“In that clip, I play a bodyguard and I have to protect Y/n. In that scene, we actually smacked each other. After the scene, Y/n had an ice pack on the cheek” Samuel laughed.
“He has massive hands, so yeah it hurt” You laughed.
“Actually, Scarlett and Cobie are in the movie and they play the villains. They are trying to kill us because Y/n has something they want” Samuel said.
“We wanted to make the scene look more real. So it was y/n idea for the slapping and I went along with it” You said.
“Wow, I would be scared to get hit by him. Can't wait to see the movie when it comes out” Stephen said.

Paul Rudd and Anthony Mackie did join you and Samuel on your gaming channel. The video gets a lot of views, you played a horror game with them. And there was a lot of cursing and this time you and Samuel finished the game.
A week later...
You, Samuel, and Anthony are at Comic-con. You start to record everything, while Samuel and Anthony start to ask questions to black cosplayers. You did ask them what is their favorite anime character and overrated anime shows.
“Y/n, we do get a lot of racist comments and more. But, you don't have to feel alone, we are black and we have a lot more to offer” Samuel said.
“Yeah, it's been rough the past few days. I thought to do this to show others that anime isn't only for white people” You said.
“You are right about that. Remember what I said, fuck those racist bastards. Let's go get lunch” Samuel said.
“Yeah, I'm starving. Thanks for everything” You said.
He hugged you then Anthony bought lunch for you and Samuel.

It was funny at first, depictions of the hydrated Ganondorf, but I believe Nintendo saw this and decided to sell this image to the mainstream audience buying their game.
The success of tall Lady D dominating the RE 8 advertisements also helps to support this as Twitter was very 'down bad' for her and really helped with sales.
I don't doubt that the rehydrated phenomena surrounding Ganondorf following the reveal trailer for Tears of the Kingdom had a hand in influencing TotK Ganondorf's final design. This might be the second time they use Ganondorf specifically as a selling point of the game (the same had been done for Twilight Princess in order to attract fans of OoT following the grumblings around Wind Waker's toonish design). Mind you, however, that the design elements present on dehydrated Ganondorf were very reminiscent of what we did see in the final design (and many rehydrated designs by fans were not that far off from his final look as a result), but I feel like they may have tried to lean in more on the sexy factor.
The sexy villain that everyone loves to thirst after and objectify is nothing new. It's the danger and intrigue, the ability to imagine yourself with this person or monster who is dangerous, cunning, manipulative, and murderous in a way where they can't actually hurt you in turn. This is a fascination that has been with people for ages. It's a great selling point for a character and the story they came from.
Personally, when it comes to Ganondorf, I'm not going to lie and pretend I don't find him insanely attractive physically. I have since his OoT days. I have written my fair share of nsfw stories that range from vanilla to questionable, and have indulged in my very, very fair share of fanart and fanfic of that nature. However, it's all the other baggage Ganondorf comes with that people lean into along with the sexualization that...bothers me I would say. There is something disturbing about Ganondorf being not only a man of the desert, but the only man of the desert, being portrayed as someone who not only sexually ravenous, but super duper sexually ravenous because he has to satisfy all his women somehow, and then leaning into that sexual rabidness in order to defile the "holy sanctity of Hyrule" aka Link and Zelda because that is what he would do obviously, right? Then you have the other end of the spectrum where his sexuality is used to portray submission to Hyrule and its light, where he has accepted the goodness and light and see he doesn't fuck like an animal anymore, great. It's like people can't see Ganondorf as a...person with a normal way of looking at his own sexuality. Of course this is not the biggest issue for me; for me it is the fact that Ganondorf is an extreme exaggeration of how the dirty desert terrorist man is often portrayed. Nintendo didn't have to insert any of that in an obvious way for people to draw that conclusion, and I suppose that's where some of my discomfort lies.
This doesn't even touch on how suddenly we're faced with the biggest terrorist darkness of Hyrule being a canonical bisexual/queer icon and all the implications of that when it comes to sexual depravity...
EDIT: What I mean is that, the extreme sexuality that surrounds Ganondorf is a very deeply ingrained facet of Orientalism. The white, refined European man had to save these beautiful women from their savage men who would keep them all enclosed in the harem, men who had multiple women and oppressed them and kept them hidden away so that they may be the only ones to indulge in the beauty of their women and partake in them sexually. BotW/TotK really leaned into *that* part with all the men trying to get into Gerudo Town.

Engage Drip Marketing: Clan
Whelp, looks like we’re getting characters every Thursday and Friday. It may not seem like a lot, but we have around 17 weeks until this game comes out, so potentially over thirty characters will be revealed. Not only that, but there will probably be surprise recruits that won’t be spoiled by drip marketing.
Today, we finally learn the name of the male twin… Kind of. These are ultimately shaky translations of the japanese name. Still, gotta call him something, and Clan seems to be the most common interpretation I’m seeing.
Translations of the first tweet goes...
Clan is a 33rd generation "Dragon Guardian", protecting the Divine Dragon in the Holy Land of Lithos. He defends Alear together with Vander. Is the twin brother of Flan, and was beside Alear when they woke up. A gentle boy, he takes care of Alear as part of his job but is also a fan of them.
The personality tweet goes…
Clan's self-introduction. A young boy with a kind air about him. His hair is braided on the opposite side of Flan's.
The dialogue is…
Clan: "Sorry, I was so shocked earlier that I didn't even introduce myself... I'm a 33rd generation Dragon Guardian, Clan. Pleased to meet you."

So, all in all, Clan seems to be what was on the box. Such things are to be expected from a character featured heavily in the trailer. Still, nice, soft boy characters are always pretty appealing. Him being in the 33rd generation of Dragon Guardians is interesting though, I guess because when Engage comes out it’ll be around 33 years since the first game. This also confirms that Vander is only a generation above the rest of the cast making him a dilf rather than a gilf. This is important information. Trust me.
Another thing I’d like to get into is that in the trailers, we can see that Clan has an engage form with Micaiah. He’s shown with it in a chapter where the playable characters are level 9, and the enemies are level 11. Pretty soon, all things considered. So, there will likely be a map or two where Clan has a lot of story relevance. I’m curious to see how that all ends up shaking out.
Now, as for his class tweet and clip…
Clan's starting class is Mage. Fires magic using tomes, good for hitting enemies that are far away or armored.
It’s confirmed Clan is a basic mage, but it’s neet to get one so early. I am curious about how mages will shake out in these games. Tomes have no class advantage, so it seems we’re relying on the classic “only five classes have magic resistance worth a damn” balancing act. But, considering Clan also has a wind tome in his inventory, I’m curious. Will mages be like in the gba games, where anima magic scales from Fire < Thunder < Elfire and so on. Or will it be like awakening where fire, wind, and thunder tomes each have their own divisions of and ranks? In awakening, fire magic felt kind of useless, not as fast or good at taking out flying units like wind, nor as strong and crit happy like thunder. Still, I guess that’s something that's yet to be seen.
Also, I think the mage’s crit animations are definitely benefiting from the new crit format. In the past, their crit animations have always been a bit lackluster compared to those with weapons. The reasons are obvious, the action and motion lies in the spells themselves, and you can’t make a new crit animation for every spell. Getting a close up shot of the mage, seeing them surround themselves in spectral pages, really manages to sell them charging power, though. Perhaps when we see sages and sorcerers, we’ll get to see them do stuff like float as they charge too.
As for the map itself, we have a lot to chew on. It’s pretty big in comparison to the others, and it’s one we saw briefly in the first trailer, when Framme was showing off her martial arts moves. Now that we see the map, we have a bit more context.
First, Clan is level 4 at the start, and characters like Chloe and Louis are already in the starting positions, meaning this map likely takes place right after the windmill chapter that was heavily showcased in the trailer. The area seems to be a castle of sorts, perhaps even the one showcased on the map. We see blue banners along the walls, with five petaled flowers depicted. From a story perspective, it’s likely that Elusian forces have captured the Firenesse castle, and it’s up to our heroes to recapture it. Still, I’m rather surprised we’re already doing something like this so soon.
The map itself is divided into three sections. We have the main stairs at the bottom, where our heroes start. In the upper left, we have a path leading to a treasure vault. To the upper right, we have a throne room. It seems that door keys, chests, and breakable walls will return in Engage, and this is the chapter where they’re introduced. There's also some conscious enemy placement, like having a group of fighters next to a group of myrmidons, so the player has to be careful with their spear fighters. All in all, seems like a fun time.
As for story predictions, it’s likely that after Lythos is invaded, our heroes are transported to Firenesse, and in a vision, the little girl who’s obviously the divine dragon gives Alear their quest (find the twelve rings, stop the fell dragon). Our heroes then run into Alfred and Celine, along with their likely retainers. Then they come across a group of corrupted attacking a village, and two Firenesse soldiers (Chloe and Louis) need their help. Once the chapter’s over, our heroes learn that the Elusians are invading, and our heroes head out to recapture the capital.
Again, I’m kind of surprised at such a fast plot progression. Hopefully this means we’re in for a dense story, and not a short one.

Talking about EVO, even though I don't play fighting games.
So EVO was this past weekend, and I actually watched finals to see the announcements! It was neat, even if I think the idea of needing to win 6 games if you came out of the losers bracket is an impossible advantage(Winners bracket only needs 3 wins).
I don't play fighting games, but I like cool character designs, and the stories they can tell, particularly with Mortal Kombat 1, the 2nd reboot of Mortal Kombat.
I've been super interested in the stories of Mortal Kombat since the 1st reboot in 2011, and for this one they seem to be bring back a lot of the 3D era(Deadly Alience/Decpection/Arrmogedden) characters, such as Li Mei, Tanya and in the latest trailer, Havik and Ashrah. as well is turning Reptile seemly into a creation of Shang Tsung. It's going to be interesting to see how this world plays out.
Onwards to Tekken 8, and gosh, the new character, Azucena looks amazing and I love her. She seems focused on Dodging and countering and it looks like she's a ton of fun if you master her. Tekken in particular seems to be able to convey a country's culture through it's fighters, partucally from South America and Asia.
There was also the reveal of OG Raven(Instead of Master Raven), but I'm hoping that Alisa Bosconovitch, a very cute robot girl comes back, she uses chainsaws in Tekken 7 and she's pretty awesome! The Network test says she's next, so I'm pretty hopeful on that front!
Lastly I wanna talk about Street FIghter 6... and dear lord this game keeps me giving women that are hot, and impossible not to love.
This is A.K.I, the replacement for F.A.N.G in this instalment of Street Fighter. I saw a tweet saying that her and Juri are part of the "I can fix her, but whatever is wrong with her is way hotter" club, and I can agree there honestly. They are very hot when they are being batshit insane. Street Fighter has always had some great character designs, and this seems to be no expectation. I could have sworn Ed was before AKI though, but whatever.
But yea, I just wanted to talk about some cool stuff since I'm still not sure how to use this platform. Hope y'all have a good day.

Conceptualisation and Prototyping
In order to create the trailer for 'Finding Atlantis', I first had to make sure I had various assets & a specific character design to do so. This led me to draw very baseline ideas for how the game would look. Based on feedback from the survey, the majority prefer a realistic style. Recognising my limitations as an artist, I opted to use Midjourney to generate final images for the trailer, utilizing my sketches as a reference.
SKETCHES
I started by creating the character design for the main character, Princess Althea of Corallia. The specific sketch I've labeled is, as described, before a significant transformation. I wanted to explore the idea of her willingly 'wiping' her identity as a princess, taking on a different persona for the sake of Atlantis. Since players experience the game through her eyes, I aimed for her design to carry some symbolic weight.
Being of royal status, Princess Althea typically wears gowns lacking vibrancy, mainly in monochrome shades like black. This choice symbolises the dullness of the coral, reflecting the impact of coral bleaching. In contrast, her bright, curly pink hair serves as a symbolic ode to marine wildlife, drawing inspiration from the vivid colours of fish and aquatic life, reflecting her lively personality.
A key aspect of her backstory emerged from the idea that Althea's great-grandparents originally hailed from Atlantis—a city that once stood on land but now lies submerged underwater. This ancestral connection explains her distinctive bright hair, a genetic legacy from a time when Atlantis thrived. Forced to leave due to climate change, particularly rising sea levels, her great-grandparents founded a new city. This unique heritage sets Althea apart, as everyone else in Corallia exhibits 'normal' hair colours and adheres to the monotone clothing synonymous with their community.
Afterward, I sketched some basic concepts illustrating of Atlantis. Despite my "modest" drawing skills, I had a vivid mental image of how the city should appear. The presented image depicts the remnants of the castle, now overtaken by the ocean's flora and fauna. The evident deterioration is a direct consequence of climate change, specifically the rising sea levels. It serves as an example of the potential outcomes that could arise if humanity fails to take proactive measures to address the issue.
Armed with both my character design sketches and Atlantis concepts, I now had a conceptual foundation for their visual representation. As mentioned earlier, these sketches will serve as inspiration for the final images and assets generated through Midjourney for the project.
*EDIT: Upon creating the images & actually finishing the trailer itself, I realised I never did a storyboard. This would definitely be something I would do next time as I kept forgetting my ideas for certain parts of the trailer. If I had done a storyboard it would be put here, and that is something to reflect on. I pretty much used what I had in mind and edited the trailer as I went.

Above are a few of the many images I generated using Midjourney with the prompt seen below:
The first image you saw was what it generated first. It was a good starting point, however, I wanted a more 'realistic' approach to her design as that is what was evident from the survey results. I used the first image and referenced it in my next prompts to get what you see following the first.
The images you see above are a few of the images generated of Atlantis itself. It loosely represents the sketches I did and I tried to stay true to them to keep it consistent. Below is the prompt I used for them:

IMAGE ANIMATION
Because I obviously did not have a game coded for this project, I decided to make the trailer more 'lively' by animating the images. If I had more time, I would've probably animated each image by hand using After Effects. However, because that wasn't the case, I utilised yet another AI program, named Pika, that can animate any photo you give it, turning it into a 3-second video.
Below is the still image vs the animated version and the prompt I used.
*NOTE: I have not included all videos created that I used for the trailer here, but every one used was generated using Pika.
CHOICE OF MUSIC
I knew I wanted the trailer to be mysterious and quite somber, so I searched YouTube for an appropriate track that would also complement the images. It didn't take long until I found the perfect one:

I also decided to cut the audio down slightly for time's sake.
Additionally, I felt the audio was a bit too 'plain' and most game trailers had some sort of narration. I then had the idea to use Elevenlabs.io to create a string of narration that could overlap the music and further entice viewers. Below is that audio:
Upon creating animated videos for each image I was going to use and choosing the appropriate music, I could begin creating the trailer itself.

Even to this day, I couldn't label them as the villains of my story. They were good people too. They just had their own monsters that they were facing. They were hurt in numerous ways in their teens and 20's. Yesterday, I realized that what they did was cruel and and there were no excuses. I had spent so much time defending their actions and honoring their memory that I did not spend time looking at the wounds they had inflicted upon me. They were my friends, but they were also monsters in that very moment too. I had to accept that fact. I saw such good in them for so long and was their pillar of support. I was imperfect, but I loved them through it all. I know I did.
Nowadays, I see them and they look so scared still. They look lost. They look like life has not been kind to them. More than anything, and I hope they find people that can truly love them for just them. Something that goes beyond just regular bonds. Closeness that can reach their hurt soul and help finish what I wanted to do. I wanted to be there to support their happiness.
It is 2023 and a lot has happened since 2020. There has been monumental shifts. I am sorry to those that I hurt along the way. I was just trying my best to live in this world with what the universe gave me. There is so much hurt in my soul, but what lies right next to is love. This year, I journeyed to my hometown of San Jose. I showed my love the places I used to run around. I showed her my favorite treats that I enjoyed as a kid. We enjoyed the sunset with the Golden Gate Bridge in the distance.
A month later,I went to Vietnam and it felt like a solo trip. I was able to express my adoration to my best friend one last time. I learned about the lore of my past's past. I was able to spend time with my parents. I came back to my motherland as a young educated man holding the highest level of education: a doctorate. I held success in the palm of my hand and was welcomed by my kind extended family. They showed me Vietnam customs and overall helped me heal in ways they may never truly understand. I reflected upon my first trip of Vietnam. I would describe it as introspective more than anything. I was left to my own thoughts and I'm happy to say that I was able to learn how to enjoy my own company. However, I hope the next time I go back, I will celebrate it with my love and best friends too.
I'm going to be 30 in a less than 2 months now. I also went to New York at the end of March with my love and my best buds, I celebrated the conquering of my 20's over AYCE A5 wagyu, the best pizza in my life, truffle and Uni, caviar and hokkaido oysters. I am grateful to my parents for helping me to be successful. I've come a long way from being just a trailer kid. The neighborhood I live in has the greenest grass and the most beautiful blue sky that overlooks it. It's paid off from all the 12 to 16 hour shifts that I used to do. My life is still imperfect and there are things I need to do. There is just.. a sense of courage that I carry now. I glide along with the currents of the unknown river of life with a lighter heart.
I still hurt sometimes. I'm still sad sometimes. I'm still angry sometimes. I'm still afraid sometimes. I still love quite deeply. Most importantly, I still move forward. I still smile as I stare at the eyes of the monsters along the way. I related to Iron Man a lot for most of my 20's. I'm glad to say that I can end it with Captain America ideals. This is my end game. I have a best friend I can trust. I have a girl who loves me deeply. I have friends that truly support and don't judge me. My family tries their best still to be there. My career is sustainable and my creative work journey begins. All is well and I'm so grateful.

Where do I even start with this? I am going to try my best to sound coherent in this post but just as a warning there may be a lot of screaming like this AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
This isn't in any particular order but it kinda is lol. Save the best for last.
Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe
Okay so I am a horrible Kirby fan, but in my defense I am more of a casual player compared to others. I love me some Kirby, mmmmm. My favorite form is I guess the Link form with his Link hat and master sword just destroying enemies. And man talk about his sucking abilities and blowing too. Can I say that on here?? Eh it is tumblr after all lol. I think I am going to pick this up for sure, maybe not right away because you know I am broke and all but eventually I will. I still need to download the demo...I'll do that right now actually. It's downloading...alright good to go! My understanding is that this is a remake of the Wii game. It's not a remaster because there are additional things added. Overall the graphics look great and Kirby is always a good time so I don't think people will be disappointed.
Metroid Prime Remastered
I really wish I was more into the Metroid series. Alien monsters and space, what more could you want. I still haven’t made my way through Metroid Dread I am ashamed to say. It has been sitting on my shelf just staring at me, judging. Maybe some day, maybe some day. But this looks amazing and it’s been long awaited so I’m happy it’s finally come out and looking forward to seeing what lies ahead for this IP.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
I mean what’s there to say? It’s fucking Zelda!!! My mouth hung open the entire time and it felt like I was in a trance and when the teaser trailer ended I just wanted more. Now Breath of the Wild was incredible. I still remember playing for the first time. I was a little late to game, I bought my first switch two years after it had already come out and the first game I purchased with it was Breath of the Wild. I was so nervous to boot up the game because I had already seen plenty of game play and saw how so many of the enemies could be a little difficult to beat along with learning a whole other control system. Loved every minute of it and I’m sure this will be no different. This game is going to be on a whole other level and I can’t wait. Only a few more months to wait. Now I’ve heard a lot about people not too happy with the price. It’s going to be a $70 game. I am a little surprised it’s that much, but also not surprised at the same time. Like I said earlier “it’s fucking Zelda,” and you and I both know people are going to pay whatever Daddy Nintendo wants. I have yet to pre order it and I know I should soon. But overall this is my most anticipated game of the year, but obviously behind Pokémon. That is if a new game comes out holiday 2023. Maybe a let’s go johto perhaps?
Fantasy Life: The Girl Who Steals Time
I own a new 3DS (Pokémon Edition) and I love that thing to death. The 3DS catalog was fantastic, so many hidden gems. FANTASY LIFE was one of them. So much so I bought that game twice. The first time I bought it was a physical copy from Gamestop. Now I can’t remember if I bought it brand new or used, nonetheless I was able to find it after failing to find it anywhere else. I stumbled upon a random YouTube review video and knew I had to get it. Now how would I describe it? It’s an rpg but so much more than that. This is why I know the gaming company Level-5. It’s this tiny open world fantasy game filled with dragons and knights and magic. You can customize your own character and you chose what life you want to live. Anything from being a chef to being a paladin. You fight monsters and dragons and it’s just fantastic! There is so much to do and the best part is that you can master all 12 of the life paths available to you. So maybe you want to take a break from being a magician well how about trying your hands at being an angler. You can be known as a legend in each path and there is a dlc where you can basically become a god. Now the second time I bought it was me being foolish. I didn’t care for it the first time I played. And I ended up selling it back to GameStop. A few months later I saw another review about it and thought “I’m stupid, I need to really give this a chance.” And from that moment I couldn’t put it down and I completed every life and every task possible. I loved this game so much and when they announced that a fantasy life 2 was coming I was ecstatic. But it was too good to be true. It was going to be a mobile game and only being released in Japan. So almost 10 years later, they’re finally releasing a new game. Now I’m still trying to come to terms with this game being it’s own thing. From the direct trailer it looks a lot different from the original and maybe not being the open world game I was hoping for. I am still going to give it a chance and hopefully it’ll live up to his predecessor. *fingers crossed*
Game Boy and Game Boy Advance NS Online
I cried, I literally cried on my way to work and screamed in the car. So much was leading up to this and I’m so happy it’s finally true. Now I won’t go into each game announced for the launch, but I do want to talk about the games I’m excited for.
So first some honorable mentions
Super Mario Land 2- 6 Golden Coins
So I love its predecessor. Played it over 100 times. This game maybe once or twice, but looking forward to really sinking my teeth into it.
The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening
I have played this maybe once but never got too far. I love the remake and if you haven’t already checked it out, you should.
Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare
Never heard of it, but looks interesting. Will have to check it out eventually.
Wario Land 3
This game pissed me off so much as a kid, so enough said.
Kirby’s Dream Land
We love a queen who loves food.
Tetris
The game that started it all for me. I am a Nintendo handheld fan boy through and through. I own the og Game boy, the game boy that my dad gifted me when I was like 6 or 7. And with that game boy came Tetris. I could entertain myself for hours, trying to get that top score. And the music, oh the music. Nothing like it now. I’m looking forward to wasting time away playing this like I’m 6 all over again.
Pokémon Trading Card Game
Yes! Only played it twice and failed hard so I want to give it another go. Too bad we have to wait some time.
The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap
I lost my absolute shit when they announced it. This is by far my favorite Zelda game of all time. I don’t know, there’s just something about it. The art style, the vibrant colors, the story and just the overall creativity is AMAZING! I got emotional when I booted it up for the first time and I don't know I may just cry again as I go further along in my journey. I’ve never had the opportunity to own this game in physical form so this will have to do for now. The cartridge alone is going for like $100. But I will get it…grrrr.
So there we go, my thoughts on the last Nintendo Direct. Took 4 separate posts lol. Maybe next time I’ll just comment on the things I liked. Oh well. This was a nice little challenge for me because I’ve never really done anything like this. It feels good. Whether people read this or not, still enjoyable. This is my 1st time ever actually participating in a tag game! Thank you to @7nessasaryevils for tagging me <3 Will only include explicit BL content here so as much as I love The Untamed, Guardian, etc. I won’t be including them.
1. your all time favorite bl and why
Bad Buddy. I remember when news, promo pics, and trailers 1st dropped for this series in December of 2020. I spent the majority of 2021 WAITING and had begun to think it’d be delayed but then it finally premiered and holy crap it did NOT disappoint! It’s such a refreshing take on a classic story. Our leads have phenomenal chemistry and they’re allowed to be casually intimate in ways that REAL couples are. They’re also the healthiest couple I can recall ever having seen portrayed in media. Their communication is so sexy. The story itself is progressive in how it subverts, actively addresses, and debunks typical and often toxic BL tropes. I could honestly go on forever. Needless to say, this BL has raised the standard for all shows that I watch.
2. that one bl that scarred you for life
Haven’t had any Thai bl scar me yet. That honor primarily goes to Taiwan and 2 come to mind for different reasons.
The 1st is History 4: Close to You. Ye Xing Si and Fu Yong Jie are the most toxic couple I’ve ever had the misfortune of knowing. Watching their entire dynamic made me extremely uncomfortable and angry.
The 2nd is History 3: Make Our Days Count…If any drama should be paying for therapy bills, it’s this one. If you know, you know.
Honorable Mention: Guardian. Know I said I was only gonna include explicit BL content but this one hurt me too much not to acknowledge. I read the nearly 1000 page novel immediately afterwards to heal my bleeding heart.
3. is there any bl that made you feel very single?
Kieta Hatsukoi (aka Vanishing My First Love - aka My Love MixUp!). They were just so sweet and soft and normal. There were no supernatural elements or dramatic setups. Just 2 lovely people getting to know each other and coming to love and respect one another.
4. if you could change one thing from a bl, which one would it be?
“I’m not gay I just like this one guy…” Fuck right off with this bullshit. Being gay is not a sin and bisexuality (& pansexuality) exists!

This was hard and honestly subject to perpetual waffling after the 1st 3 that I’ve listed.
Bad Buddy - My #1 <3
I Told Sunset About You - I mean the TENSION. You could cut it with a knife. Great storytelling, directing, cinematography, acting. It drags you through the emotional ringer and it’s worth it.
Sotus - Look. Quality wise…I know it’s not necessarily amazing but those characters hooked their claws in me and I still love them to pieces.
We Best Love (season 1) - As I’m writing this I’m just now having the revelation that I am apparently obsessed with “rivals to lovers” storylines lol It just makes for such a fun dynamic. This drama is short and sweet and such a comfort watch for me.
My Engineer - Absolutely hilarious with such a great cast of characters.
7. that trashy bl that you lowkey like
In direct contradiction to my previous answer about History 4: Close To You scarring me…Xiao Li Cheng and Teng Mu Ren were super likable and had great chemistry. No idea how the same writers who created this delightful couple ALSO created the aforementioned toxic couple from hell.
8. your favorite korean bl (it’s important we know)
Where Your Eyes Linger. It was the 1st Korean bl I saw and I believe among the 1st made. The chemistry between the two leads was just too good. The way Kang Gook quietly yearns in silence for years while Tae Joo immediately starts toeing the line (much to Kang Gook’s torment) as soon as he realizes his own feelings. The way Tae Joo is technically in a position of power since Kang Gook is essentially his body guard but how their years of friendship muddy those waters. Tae Joo’s emotional vulnerability in contrast to Kang Gook’s surface level stoicism. Ugh. Fucking love it.
9. but also your top 3 for kbls
Where Your Eyes Linger
Light On Me - 10 out of 10. So sweet. Perpetually on the verge of edging WYEL out of the #1 spot.
Color Rush - I didn’t love the execution but I loved the concept and the leads were great.

My Engineer!!! I need more RamKing and also Thara and Frong. I’m still reeling from Thara’s oblivious “brother” bullshit. You know Frong be listening to Nanon’s “Just Friends” on repeat after that lol The sheer ridiculousness of this show brings me so much joy. I can’t wait for more.

KinnPorchse - The development hell this drama got stuck in has had me stressed! Thankfully it seems to be coming along now.

I know this is probably going to be me poking a hornets nest. But i need to get this off my chest... the only concern I have about Pokemon Legends Arceus is about the fanbase. Like what insane reasoning will they come up with next to justify their personal venteta against a game that wasn't up to their high expectations even if the game will sell millions anyway.
There are literally videos out there where people are like "please be good!" and "I'm concerned over PLA" and I watched them and it's all the same video done by diffrent people, bringing up the same points aganst the game, and of corse injecting their personal wishlist of things that wont happen. They're all still doing a damn good job feeding doubt to the monster that is the pokemon fandom. Even if nothing has been confirmed or denied at all and they all seem to be putting all their faith in questionable leaks. Especially when the final starters are involved.
In previous trailers it looks like the game is focused on mainly research and everything pokemon is known for is kind of pushed to the side for random quests like finding diffrent sizes of pokemon or calming down alpha pokemon. So its really not that surprising they're probably won't be a meta game in this game. Especially not with the new battle system (that people will no doubt cry over when its not in Gen 9 due to going back to turn based).
I also saw someone complain about how BotW's empty overworld worked since its supposed to feel empty, but this game is too empty. And it's like...of course it's empty. It's the Meji Era in a place that wasn't widely settled by the Japanese in real life where there was probably only scattered indigenous villages. It works for what it's trying to convey: a rich untouched landscape.
Anyway...I personally think the game looks fun and I'm really excited for it. What I'm not excited for is the months long "THIS ISN'T POKEMON BREATH OF THE WILD! THEY LIED! Also this tree killed my father's uncle's brother's neigbor!" fallout which will probably last until Gen 9 and switch over to the standard "this is why Gen 9 will suck" discourse before we even see more than a teaser for it.
I know it's just a vocal minority. But at the same time, I just kind of want to discuss things about a cool new game without being called a shill all the time.

Engage Drip Marketing: Boucheron
Boucheron is French for lumberjack.
Welp, it seems at long last we have ax guy. He’s been around since the first trailer, nameless, and at one point faceless. And yet here he final is. Despite how small his head is compared to his body (Maybe the proportions will look better in casual wear), I actually dig his outfit. Has a unique feel compared to the usual fighter look.
Now, lets get to the tweets…
Boucheron is a knight of the Kingdom of Firene. He is a polite and kind young man. He's naturally well-built, and is understanding too.
Cutscene tweet…
A conversation between Boucheron and Alear. It seems he likes fishing in nature.
Boucheron: "Do you do anything to relieve stress, Divine Dragon?"
Alear: "I haven't even thought about it. Are there things you do to relax, Boucheron?"
Boucheron: "Yes, a few. Like going to the mountains, quietly fishing at a river..."
Alear: "Oh! That seems fun! I want to try it too!"
Boucheron: "Then, would you like to come try with me? It'd be useful if you found something you like."
So, seems like your typical gentle giant type character. I’m rather fond of the archetype, so hopefully he has some good support. His natural build seems like an obvious point of tension between him and Etie. Speaking of which, it seems like the two aren’t siblings after all, despite their similar hair and eye colors. Oh well. He and Etie also don’t seem to be Alfred's retainers, which is more egg on my face.
Seeing so much diversity in the male characters' face shapes is still disappointing. Still, it led to someone on reddit saying the game had “Diary of a Wimpy Kid syndrome” which made me burst out laughing.
Next is the crit clip, which has some neat details to dig into.
Boucheron's starting class is Axe Fighter. An axe-wielding warrior that's confident in their strength. While they may be strong, their Defense is weak.
Ultimately, the clip doesn’t show too much we haven’t seen, but there are two things it’s got me thinking about.
First, Boucheron’s full class is Ax Fighter/ Back Up. If you remember the first trailer, one of the enemies Alear targets is titled Lance Fighter/ Back Up. However, Boucheron doesn’t have a monster icon on his class title, meaning it’s probably exclusive to corrupted. With this in mind, I’m fully convinced that the second section of classes don’t really show movement types, but class families of some sort.
So, we have…
Dragon: I don’t think this will detail wyvern riders, but more likely Alear’s personal class, and maybe manaketes as well.
Cavalry: Pretty self explanatory, housing cavaliers of each weapon type, and then paladins. I’m curious if classes like great knights, dark knights, and bow knights/rangers will be a part of this family as well, instead of things like heavy armor and mystic.
Mystic: Seems to be our mages and dark mages. I wouldn’t be surprised if more tradition clerics/ priests wound up here. Then we get stuff like sages, sorceress, and bishops.
Qigong: We have monks, and I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw brawlers as well. Seems the most likely place to see more original and new classes.
Heavy Armor: Where we get our armor knights and generals. Not having gimped movement seems like a huge boon. I wonder if magic armor units like Geneology Barons will return.
Flying: Where we get our pegasus knights. I also think wyvern riders will be a tier 2 class in this game for this family, partly because we have not seen any yet in these early maps. I’m also curious if we’ll see other unique mounts like griffons or kinshi.
Spy: Seems like where we’ll get archers, thieves, and the like. Promotions will probably be stuff like assassins and snipers. Perhaps the bandit units (noticeably hold their axes differently than fighters) will be here instead of back up.
Back up: Seems like it’s for fighters of varying weapon types, basic infantry.
If classes get put into these families, then I’m pretty confident we’ll be getting branching class trees in some form. For instance, an ax fighter like Boucheron may be able to promote into a warrior, or a hero. Does make me curious about units that sort of mix types, though, like great knights and dark fliers. Guess we’ll just have to wait and see. Either way, I really hope a famitsu article or something gives us a look as a class tree or something, cause they’re one of my favorite parts of Fire Emblem.
The other thing on my mind is the five Fieren chapters we’ve been circling around for a while. We have a windmill village, a fort/ castle, a village with monks to save, a destroyed village at night, and then ruins full of bandits. Pretty decent amount of chapters for our time in a country, especially considering Fire Emblem Pacing. I am curious, though, if the ruins will really be the final chapter of the Firene arc. Nothing about it really screams climax of a story arc, so I wonder if they’re intentionally hiding that chapter for spoiler reasons.
Now, with the Firene squad finally introduced, this does lead to some questions. Will they be revealing other Firene characters that haven’t been seen in the trailers yet? Will they be moving on to the Autumn kingdom. Will we be getting to see Lief next? It’s been two months since the reveal trailer, and we’re two months before the game is released. As such, will we be getting a trailer soon?
My best guess is… we’ll find out next week. With Pokemon Scarlet and Violet coming out this Friday, I doubt Nintendo wants to make one of its other big rpg series compete for attention. I feel like we’ll get a good look at either Lief or Prince Alcryst next week, somewhere between monday and wednesday. And in the next couple weeks we’ll probably get a second trailer, maybe even get one at the game awards.

My opinions about the Loki (2021) series. Spoilers and all that.
I took some time off the fandom until I felt it was time to make this post, if only to get it out of my system, so I can finally rest. I thought, since I was so pumped for the series to begin with, before it was launched and everything, and how I waited to expectantly for every episode that was airing weekly, that the empty feeling I was experiencing after it was all done was just because, well, it was all done.
I thought maybe it was the normal empty-chested-feeling you get when you finish a movie, series, or book that you really liked / waited a lot for.
It was not it. It didn’t pass. It got worse.
I’m going to put this under a cut, and under the anti-tags, because I know some people liked this show and not everyone has to be miserable with me.
I want to preface this by saying that I respect everyone that was involved in this project, and I know that it may be gut-wrenching to receive criticism on something that you worked in, but I feel cheated. I feel lied to. It’s one thing to work hard and be thoughtful and still receive bad reviews, but I don’t think this is the case at all.
To start it all, I was so excited to see Loki again. He’s the only character that I maintained any attachment to throughout so long, sometimes more, sometimes less, but I always considered myself a fan since I saw The Avengers (2012) with my parents in the theaters, at the ripe age of 12. To be honest, Loki was what got me into superhero movies, and into the marvel fandom at all. And I knew, or at least suspected, that they would do something different with the character. I was ready for that, after reading the comics and realizing that MCU Loki and Comics Loki are two different versions of the same character (more on that later). And I thought it was even going to be for the best, since Tom Hiddleston, bless his heart, was one of the executive producers and, I thought, would have more of a say on Loki’s character arc during the series.
What I watched was, to be completely fair with myself, not Loki. I couldn’t really pinpoint it at the time, but I keep expecting something to happen after he was captured by the TVA to show us his mind at work. A scheme, a plan, anything remotely smart that he cooked up. And yet, nothing. He kept acting…Not Loki. As time passed, I hoped he was biding his time, fooling everyone, that he would reveal his masterplan at the season finale and go back to the main timeline. The series ended and I didn’t see Loki, any of them, act as Loki once.
Maybe it’s because I am a fan of the older version of MCU Loki. The darker, more complicated one. I didn’t want a redeeming arc at all, I don’t think all villains or anti villains need a redeeming arc. That’s boring. And, to my interpretation of his character, shouldn’t be in his future at all. Loki thrives on the gray area. I love not knowing what he is to the other characters, the chaos, the lying and manipulation, the grand schemes. This new content we’ve been getting, since Ragnarok, depict him as a more comedic, campy character (which is …fine? Meh, I don’t care for it).
And of course, that’s not to say Tom Hiddleston didn’t do a good job. Poor man did his best with what was given to him by the writers. It’s hard to keep a character consistent, however, when every director and screenwriter seems to have a different idea of who they are. He kept it together fairly well when Taika attempted to assassinate Loki’s character, but Kate Herron snapped his neck harder than Thanos ever could. And for what?
Sylvie.
Now, hear me out. There’s nothing wrong with the concepts of Sylvie, Lady Loki, and a Love interest. Separately. In trying to bring everything together in one character, the writers not only could not come up with a compelling woman character, but also had to bring down an already well established character, the TITULAR character, no less, so she could look somewhat presentable, which is insulting. And they Still failed. I don’t like the pairing either, but that’s not what I’m talking about (right now). The truth is, I don’t know Sylvie. She just got here, I have no emotional attachment to her whatsoever, so I won’t feel for her the same I feel for Loki, who’ve I watched for almost a decade. And instead of trying to build an emotional connection between Sylvie and the viewer, they chose to spoon-feed us a romance between her and Loki.
Well, more between Loki and Her, and not even that. I felt like Loki was always trailing her like a lost puppy, and big eyes and expectations, and she was giving him…Absolutely nothing. All the sweet moments between them were initiated by him, all the talking about feeling were done by him, all the looks and gestures…And although I understand Sylvie grew up in apocalypses and Loki grew up in a palace, she still claimed to have romantic partners. Multiple, man and women. And still, showed no visible interest in Loki up until the kiss scene, which I suspect was more to shut him up and send him flying that anything.
Excuse me if I want Loki to have a love interest who is actually invested in him too.
And Why make her a Loki variant at all if she is adamant she isn’t Loki? Why go to the extent of dying her hair blonde (where in the apocalypse did she manage to get her hair blonde? WHY?) and then give her horns? If she was taken as a child, where did she get the very Asgardian like leather armor she used? WHERE IS THIS INFORMATION?
If they were going to go so far to alienate her from the identity of being a Loki variant just so they could pair her with Loki and it not be weird (it was), why make her a variant at all? If you’re going to make a selfcest pairing, at least commit to it. Sylvie Lushton, from where they got the name, isn’t a Loki Variant, if anything She’s an Amora Variant. Why name her Sylvie if she has no relation to Amora?
The plot has so many holes and is so disappointing. I was promising Loki playing around and causing havoc with time traveling. When I saw Richard E. Grant had been cast, I imagined the big bad would be King Loki, like in the comics! Something about Loki seeing what he becomes if he let darkness completely consume him, and finding balance in his chaos, after all. The premise of Loki healing though observing himself, or variants of himself, was honestly good. His variants, however, where so underused, poorly used, made Loki look like a fool. Even he was ashamed of their interactions. And Kid Loki apparently Killed Thor, which makes him the leader (???) and that’s never mentioned again. President Loki, who was a big part of the appeal of the trailer, is gone in two minutes. And then there’s the mirror scene from the trailer, that didn’t even make it to the series.
There are other things that bother me a lot about this too, but it’s not my place to discuss them in dept. To list, if anyone is interested in knowing: The underdevelopment of black character, and the reaction of the fandom, to my knowledge, to said black characters, in special Ravonna and Boastful Loki. The misrepresentation of gender fluid people, which if I can recall was one of the points they sold to us as something they would touch into Loki’s characterization. Some people have pointed out that it was biphobic to pair Loki with a woman after he “came out” on screen as bisexual. I am bisexual, and I disagree, but I can see why it’s an issue for a lot of people, as mlm relationships are rare in MCU canon. What I thought was Biphobic, however, was having Loki not show us he was bi, rather than telling us.
In summary, I am very disappointed, and I am mourning. This series managed to do what End Game didn’t, which was kill all hope I had to ever have Loki back. He’s gone.
