When you’re sick
Warnings: none, one Monsters Inc. reference I hope won't confuse people
Please let me know which is your favourite!

Soobin
You'd tried everything, from warm baths to drinking god-awful concoctions people swore by on the internet. But you were still sick. You'd been holed up in your bedroom for almost a week, leaving poor Soobin to have to sleep on the couch. You missed him, but you couldn't let him catch what you had. The only contact you'd had with him all week was through texting, and the meals he'd leave outside the bedroom door for you.
Of course, you'd been apart longer than this before; being in a successful group, Soobin often went on tour for months at a time. But this almost seemed harder, maybe because you felt miserable physically and just wanted to be held and loved on.
"I just wanted to see you," came his muffled voice, a hint whiny. "I won't come any further than this, I promise."
Sighing, you retreated from hiding. You hadn't seen him with your own eyes for what felt like longer than it actually was. There was no helping how good it felt to look at him now. "I miss you."
His lopsided smile gave you a rush of warmth. "Please get better before I go crazy."
You felt guilty. "I'm sorry. You can go and stay at Taehyun's if you-"
Soobin's mouth quirked, his brow creased. "It's not that. I just want to see you, touch you, have a real conversation. I want to hold you until we fall asleep." You felt the longing for him increase. "You always take care of me when I'm sick, even if you might catch it. Please, let me do the same for you."
His eyes held a helpless look that tugged at your heart as much as his words did. You felt your resolve crack, and it must have shown in your face, Soobin crossing the threshold and shuffling towards the bed. Relief flooded through you as he crawled up next to you and tucked you into his arms. His warmth was everything you'd needed for the past week, and he sighed as you buried your face against his neck. You swear you started melting when you felt his fingers in your hair. This was home.
Yeonjun
You weren't sure how long you'd felt like this. Time seems a blur when most of it is spent in bed, falling in and out of sleep and dreams. It took a monumental effort just to roll from one side to the other, so you couldn't remember the last time you'd eaten or showered. One small mercy was the fact that your ears were blocked, muffling the noise of the world outside the window; birds and neighbours dogs and traffic sounds couldn't disturb your sporadic naps.
Suddenly there was soft skin against your cheek, a warm palm and fingertips that you leaned into without question, and a deep sound somewhere close by. It took a few minutes for your mind to kick in and realise that these things were real and not a dream. Opening your eyes to the dim room, you found a face smiling down at you; your Yeonjun. But something was strange about this. Hadn't you been alone? Wasn't there a reason you were in the middle of the big bed, his pillow trapped between your arms?
"Junie?" You whinced as your voice seemed to reverberate through your head, your throat burning as the word tore through it.
"Hey, baby," he replied softly. You felt his fingers swipe the hair off your forehead before his nose was touching your own.
With what little strength you had, you tried to sink further into the mattress to put space between the two of you. "Jun, I'm- I'm sick."
"It's okay." You felt his arm slither under your back and peel you off the bed, pulling you into him. "I'm here."
You sniffled, swallowing against the dryness of your mouth that comes with not being able to breathe through your nose for so long. "Why?"
"'Why?'" He laughed. "Because the tour ended and I came home to you. Aren't you happy to see me?"
You nodded weakly against his chest. "Junie... I'm sick," you said again, half warning and half complaint.
His hand began to rub your back soothingly, and it felt so good to be in his arms again that you sighed heavily, raspily. "I know, babe, I'm sorry."
"You shouldn't..." Words were too hard. Instead, you brought your hand to his chest and tried to push him, rather feebly, away.
A large hand wrapped around your wrist, softly pulling your arm up over his shoulder. "I don't care. I missed you."
Not having it in yourself to argue, you surrendered, letting your body totally relax into his. You had pictured him coming home after tour very differently than this. You wanted to kiss him. You wanted to talk about his trip, but you couldn't fight your body. You heard the rumble of his voice again. "What?"
"I'll make you some chicken soup," he repeated. But as he tried to turn to leave the bed you grabbed a handful of his shirt. You heard him chuckle, and his arms were back around you again. "Maybe later, then."
Beomgyu
One minute you were studying, the next you were being woken by your phone blasting the most annoying ringtone Beomgyu had set for himself. You scrambled to snatch the phone off the desk where you had evidently fallen asleep. "Gyu? What time is it?"
"Half past the time you were supposed to meet me at the cinema."
Your heart sank. How long had you been asleep? "Oh no. I'm so sorry, I fell asleep."
"Why do you sound like you're talking into a tin can?"
Now that you were more awake, you noticed the feeling in your throat, the pounding of your head. Sure, falling asleep with your head on a desk wasn't the best, but you'd never known it to make your head feel like this. Come to think of it, you couldn't breathe through your nose very well either. You thought back and vaguely remembered your roommate having had a cough before she left for the weekend. There was a knock at the door.
"Hang on," you said into the phone, crossing the small space to open the door and-
"You look terrible," Beomgyu said, to your face and in your ear before hanging up. His cheeks were flushed, telling you he'd walked all the way here, in the cold, probably to check on you.
"Wow, thanks," you deadpanned as you let him in. "When's the next showing? Maybe we can make that one."
Your boyfriend pulled his hood down and looked at you for a moment before pressing his palm to your forehead. Trying not to flinch at the coldness of his hand, you looked up at him, his eyes still studying you.
"You're hot," he told you.
You scoffed, but it came out as more of a cough. "That's not what you were saying a minute ago."
Without another word, Beomgyu's hands were on your shoulders, turning you around and steering you through the small dorm room and sitting you down on your bed. Then he disappeared into the bathroom, coming back with a towel that he pressed against your head.
"I'm fine," you sighed. "Let's go see the movie."
Beomgyu tisked, gesturing for you to hold the towel before dipping to his knees to pull off your slippers. "The only movie you're seeing tonight is the DVD I got you for Christmas." Standing up again, he shooed you up the bed and pulled the covers over you.
"But we've seen that a hundred times," you whined. You'd been looking forward to a night out with your boyfriend; the movie, popcorn, leaving the confines of your dorm room after so many days and nights of studying.
"But you love it," he retorted, mocking your whiny tone. He handed you the remote for the tiny TV at the foot of your bed. "I'm guessing you haven't had dinner?" You shook your head. "Got any cup ramen?" You nodded.
You opened your mouth again to complain, but the words never came as Beomgyu kissed you on the top of the head and walked over to boil the kettle. Instead you let yourself sink into the comfort of your bed, only now noticing how exhausted you actually were. So you weren't going to get your date, but how could you complain when you had a boyfriend like this?
Taehyun
You were up before Taehyun this morning - an unusual occurrence. You'd woken up with a funny feeling in your throat and quickly but quietly escaped his room to cough without waking him. Then you'd tiptoed to the kitchen to boil water, eyes meeting with Yeonjun's who was sitting at the table eating cereal. His smirk said it all.
You were sat on the couch when Taehyun emerged from his room, tired eyes searching for you. By now, Soobin and Beomgyu were also sitting at the table eating. Taehyun plodded over to you. "Morning."
"Don't get contaminated," Yeonjun called, looking up from his phone. You narrowed your eyes at him.
Soobin, who looked like he could've still been half asleep, whipped his head up in confusion, chewing his toast with a new expression.
Taehyun's eyes swept from his friend to you, scanning your face for signs of anything amiss. "Are you not feeling well?"
"M'fine," you croaked, arms wrapped around yourself inside your hoodie as you tried to hold off a shiver.
"Tried to cough up a whole cat this morning," Yeonjun snitched. Soobin looked between Yeonjun and Beomgyu, still puzzled, his messy bed hair comedically flapping side to side.
You rolled your eyes, looking up at Taehyun with a small pout. "I just have a cough. It's probably the change in the weather."
"Or bronchitis."
Taehyun ignored the oldest boy's comment as he crouched down in front of you. "Do you want me to go to the pharmacy?"
"Really," you persisted. "I'm fine. I feel okay, just an itchy throat." As if on cue, you started to cough again, burying your face into the crook of your arm, then quickly tried to recover yourself. "I don't want you to worry."
"Sounds like a duck," Beomgyu said with a tone that gave away his amusement.
Taehyun sighed and rubbed up and down your arms comfortingly. "I just want to help you feel better, so anything you need, you just tell me, okay?"
You nodded. He stood up and went to the kitchen to start breakfast, giving you a kiss on the cheek first. Suddenly there was a commotion, as Beomgyu grabbed his breakfast bowl and ran from the kitchen yelling, "twenty-three nineteen!"
Huening Kai
The first thing that you noticed was a dull ache in your head. You'd taken some pain relief, thinking it was just a normal headache, and pushed on to get ready for your dinner plans. Kai's parents were always so happy to have you for dinner, and to see him catching up with them and his sisters made you happy, too.
You started to feel a little weak halfway through your meal, participating in conversation less and less, and after dinner you'd slipped away to a quiet room for what was supposed to be a few minutes. Your body felt heavy, more exhausted than what would be expected, and as you sat on an armchair in the dimly lit room, you became aware of the dull ache in your muscles. Eyes closing, the sound of distant chatter and laughter from the dining room lulled you quickly into unexpected sleep.
Kai had thought you were gone for the bathroom, and after ten minutes of your absence, his eyes flicking to the door every so often in anticipation of your reappearance, he thought he should check on you - maybe something you'd eaten wasn't agreeing with you. When he'd knocked on the bathroom door and there was no reply, he'd let himself in only to find it empty. He checked the kitchen, then the garden, then walked back to the dining room to see if you'd returned there while he'd been away. His mother joined him as he went to check the living room.
The two of them found you dozing and lowered their voices to a whisper, Mrs. Huening commenting that you hadn't seemed yourself earlier. Kai gently touched the back of his hand to your forehead and found it clammy. This, along with the headache you'd mentioned before the drive up and how quiet you'd been, probably meant you'd come down with something, and he decided to take you home.
That's how you woke up in Kai's arms, in the cold night air, on the way to the car. "There you are," he said when he noticed you awake. "Have a nice nap?"
You noticed a sore throat was beginning as you spoke, glancing around the street. "We're leaving?"
His soft brown eyes met yours as he continued to walk. His arms kept you steady against his chest, so you barely felt like you were on the move. "You're exhausted. You fell asleep."
You hated that you were the reason Kai's family time was being cut short and that you hadn't said goodbye to anyone. "I'm fine, Hyuka. Let's go back. Please?"
He came to a stop as he reached the car, looking down into your eyes again with a soft smile. "You need rest. We'll go home, I'll run a bath, and then we'll get into bed." Seeing you open your mouth to argue, he added, "Let me take care of you."
You couldn't argue with that.

these are headcanons!
sfw work, txt x reader
Tumblr media
yeonjun: he would try his best to make you feel comfortable everywhere you guys go! he is the type of guy who would hold your hand whenever the chance is given, and would rub your palm and thighs to reassure you, everything is fine. he would take you out on fancy restaurant dates, i can see him being more on the traditional side when it comes to dating. definitely would get matching jewelry too!
Tumblr media
soobin: he would make you adopt a pet with him, this boy would be all over that! he is the type who would randomly lay on your chest and lap, sleepily and lazily cuddling after an exhausting day. he is probably very clingy, but he is also shy about it. his cheeks would turn red whenever you two would do something together, no matter what. he'd be so whipped and would buy you countless plushies as gifts!
beomgyu: let's be honest, it would be extremely eventful to date beomgyu. even though he is an introvert, he would find a lot of indoor activities for you guys to do, not leaving you alone for a second. baking, making bracelets, trying some crafts out and gaming together would be an everyday activity, if not, get ready for a lot of whining. he would need your attention 24/7 and would be vocal about you not giving it to him.
Tumblr media
taehyun: i believe he would be very careful and quiet about dating. he would most likely take you out for movie and arcade dates, only at dawn, so people wouldn't notice you. he'd make sure you've eaten, drank and slept enough every day, but of course, not so obviously. he would deny how caring he actually is. he would also correct everything you do and would leave teasing comments all the time, loving how red your cheeks turn whenever you are upset.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
kai: he is the type of guy who would say 'what if i hold your hand, only as a joke of course' until it's not a joke anymore. that's basically how you two got together as well. this boy would be so awkward at first, but after a couple of dates, he would open up just within a second. you two would have a lot of inside jokes that nobody, but only you would understand. he'd love to go on peaceful walks by the han river with you, preferring calm dates.

Dada's Little Angel
Little!Reader, CG!Soobin TW: Panic attack, sensory sensitive reader Request Info - - - - Masterlist
You and Soobin were at a shopping mall when music could be hear playing in the background. "Binnie?" You ask softly, nervously, not getting his attention immediately. "Dada!" Your voice becomes louder, more panicked. Soobin gently strokes your cheek, trying to calm you down, "Hey, hey, what's wrong, Kiddo? Talk to me. Talk to Dada. What's going on?"
You look up at Soobin, tears in your eyes. "Too much," you whimper softly. 'Too much what, Kiddo? Can you tell Dada what's going on, sweet Angel?" "People…noise…everything.." You talk softly, fighting tears. Soobin gives you a quick hug. "Oh, Y/N-ie. Oh, sweet little angel.," he whispers, "It's okay, Kiddo. It's okay, my Angel. Dada is here. Right here, Angel." He gently kisses your forehead before gently pulling you through the crowds, "Come on, Angel. We're going to go somewhere quieter." Soobin pulls you into a family restroom and hugs you closely, trying to calm you. "Shhh, Angel, it's alright. Dada's got you. Dada's here." He whispers softly. "Dada, too much," you whimper, crying into his shoulder. Soobin rubs your back gently, trying to calm you.  "Don't cry, Kiddo. It's okay, my Angel," he whispers, keeping his voice soft to not overwhelm you further.  "Dada, want go home. Pwease, Dada," you look up at him, teary eyed and afraid. He kisses the top of your head.  "Okay, okay." He whispers. "Look, at me Angel. Dada wants to go to one more store, just one. Then we can go home, okay? Can you do one more store for Dada? I think you'll really like this one. It's also right by the exit, so it should be a bit quieter." He smiles at you, a soft, caring smile on his face. You nod slowly. "Okay. Let's get your headphones on you, Angel. But, you need to hold my hand the whole time. You're too little to walk around without holding Dada's hand. Okay, my Angel?" He puts a pair of noise cancelling headphones on you and gently wipes your tears away from your face. He takes your hand and leads you back through the mall and towards the exit. He leads you into a small store that has no one in it. He walks up to the front register and speaks with the lady at the counter. The lady hands Soobin a box. He thanks her, then the two of you leave.  You and Soobin arrive home about ten minutes later. "Go sit on the couch, Angel. Dada needs to go get something really fast." He sets the box on the coffee table, in front of the couch before quickly going down the hall. He comes back into the room, holding a box cutter. He opens the box, double checking that he knows what's inside. He smiles and hands you the box. "Open it, Angel," he says softly, "Dada got you a present." You take the box and pull out a plushie. It's Hello Kitty holding a heart. The heart has something written on it. "What is say, Dada?" You ask softly. "It say's Dada's Little Angel," he smiles and gently kisses the top of your head. "Thank 'oo, Dada!" You smile excitedly, memory of the panic fading already.

Scary Movies R!🦊
✦✧✦✧ Ageretober Day 6 ✦✧✦✧
This part is going to be a part of my regular little txt series, Hugs & Kisses. So if you see it in the links of my masterlist, that’s why!
Summary: Yeonjun gets frightened by a scary movie and tries to hide the fact that he’s so uncomfortable. But, with a caring family, his tears don’t go unnoticed.
Word Count: 1,151
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sometimes watching a scary movie and getting a racing heart was exciting or fun. Halloween was the most popular season for horror movie nights. Kai loved making a big deal about it. He’d select seven to watch each night during the week leading up to Halloween. Yeonjun didn’t understand how he could enjoy them that much when they gave himself a nervous tummy or trouble sleeping. When he felt mentally strong enough to, he’d join in with the others and tag along to movie theaters or just to the couch. But, he still didn’t really like them.
He especially didn’t like the one he had been dragged into watching that evening. It was a proclaimed classic, but Yeonjun was incredibly off put by the real life aspect of it and how genuine the young actress behaved. Her acting was impressive, but terrifying. It was one of those movies with extra gross scenes thrown in to provoke reactions out of viewers. Yeonjun was not enjoying it one bit.
The lights were off, so no one could really see his body language, but he was curled up and tense all over on the love seat by himself. He gnawed on his fingertips to rid some of the anxiety but it wasn’t working. They had just finished up a busy week, so he didn’t have time to decompress and everything was starting to build up on top of each other.
“Oh, this parts so gross.” Soobin cringed from where he was laying stretched out on the floor with a couple pillows. The others ewed and laughed at the screen, but not Yeonjun. He gave up trying to power through his discomfort and rolled over.
Facing the cushions, he tugged his blanket closer to his body and prayed that none of them would look his way. For the next half hour he listened to the grotesque voice of the possessed girl, eerie sounds, and music. He hated it. His stomach was in knots, the noise was deafening and he felt like he had no escape. Yeonjun felt his lip tremble and realized why he was so emotional. It all quickly bubbled over the surface and he started to cry.
It went unnoticed for a few minutes until his nose became to blocked up to breathe silently through and he sobbed quietly. Everyone looked in his direction. He was so embarrassed to be the eldest that turned into a little boy and cried over a dumb movie. Kai frantically searched for the remote and paused the tv. Beomgyu was already sitting by Yeonjun’s feet in the free space on the small sofa by the time the movie was stopped.
“Hyung, are you okay?” He asked gently. Yeonjun cringed at the honorific and covered his ears with his hands.
“What’s wrong?” Taehyun wondered, left unsatisfied with a shrug from Beomgyu. Yeonjun could still hear his question and cried some more because he couldn’t get an explanation out fast enough. As he got more worked up, Soobin stepped up to help.
“Hey, talk to us, unless you want space, which is fine. Just tell us so we can make the right move.” He said somewhat caringly. It wasn’t an irritated or blunt tone, but it wasn’t soft enough for Yeonjun. He whimpered and pushed himself up.
Yeonjun wiped his face with his sleeve and scooted closer to Beomgyu, climbing halfway into his lap and clinging to his body. He was met with welcoming arms and a warm embrace. He was slightly frustrated that they weren’t able to immediately tell he was little. To give them the hint, Yeonjun put his thumb in his mouth. It was instantly soothing and helped him calm down.
“Oh, honey.” Beomgyu murmured as he realized.
“Shit.” Kai whispered to himself. He fiddled with the remote until the movie was off and replaced with the old animation section of disney.
“How long have you been little, baby?” Soobin asked sadly.
“Dunno…” Yeonjun mewled, sniffling.
“That movie is way too scary for little ones to watch. We’re so sorry.” Beomgyu cooed into his hair. He secretly basked in the cuddles from little Yeonjun, who rarely ever showed himself.
“It’s okay, baby. It was all pretend. Just makeup and costumes.” Soobin added. Yeonjun understood that, but he was still scared. The girls scary face kept popping up in his head, so he whimpered and started looking around the room, twisting left and right to see if she was there.
“What’re you looking for, sweetie?” Soobin asked, following Yeonjun’s gaze.
“Do you want Roo?” Huening Kai tried. The eldest always had his kangaroo lovey when he was little.
“Mm…the girl. Don’t want her here.” Yeonjun pouted as he shook his head. They all held back endeared laughter.
“There’s nothing to worry about. She’s not real and can’t get in our home.” Soobin smiled. Yeonjun gave him a suspicious look, but redirected his attention to something else.
“Roo?” He murmured.
“I’ll go grab him, how about you and Hyuka pick out a new movie to watch!” Beomgyu suggested enthusiastically, lifting Yeonjun up and depositing him next to the maknae with a crashing sound effect that made them giggle.
“Kai be little, too!” Yeonjun begged cutely, hanging off his arm and doing the best puppy dog eyes he could.
Kai hesitated. He was pretty worn out from the work week, like the rest of them were, and it would be nice to be small, but he knew he became extra needy and sensitive when he was. It was almost guaranteed that he would slip below three years old if he tried, and that would be too much to put on everyone’s shoulders. Baby Kai was fussy and sleepy. No fun for watching a movie.
“Um, we’ll see. I’m hyung for now, okay?” Kai replied. Referring to himself as hyung made his ears turn red.
“Okayy…we’ll see.” Yeonjun repeated cutely. He did a little stretch and settled down by laying his head on Kai’s lap; aka the perfect spot to get his hair played with.
Together they scrolled through the movies while the other puttered around, getting drinks and snacks. Beomgyu returned quickly with Roo and surprised Kai with one of his molang’s. He made both plushies kiss their respective owners cheek and handed them over. Yeonjun giggled contently and nuzzled Roo into his face. When Soobin and Taehyun came back they brought a tray of goodies with them. Yeonjun went straight for the sippy cup of chocolate milk while everyone else had some cookies.
“What’d you guys pick?” Taehyun asked with a mouth full of half chewed up cookie.
“I think…Snow white but the Hello Kitty one.” Kai mumbled, looking down at Yeonjun for conformation.
“Yup! The bread looks yummy.” Yeonjun confirmed.
“The cartoon bread…?” Soobin trailed off unsurely.
“Mhm!”
“O-Okay. I’ve never thought about eating cartoon bread before.” Soobin chuckled softly. Yeonjun was a silly little boy sometimes.

i’d like to request a fic where cg introduces little y/n to the rest of the members ! ty ^^
hello, lovely !! thank you for being my first ever request on this account, it’s an honour !! I hope you enjoy this :3 p.s i suck at writing plot so hopefully it's okay 😅
that’s what friends are for - cg!soobin, little!reader, best friend!beomgyu
Tumblr media
summary - soobin is your caregiver, and you tell the rest of the boys about your regression. later, soobin isn’t home and you regress, but luckily your best friend is there to help ! gender neutral reader :]
word count - 1k
genre - fluff, hurt/comfort
~
You shuffle your feet, digging your toes into the fuzzy carpet of your boyfriend’s room. Anxious wasn’t even the word to describe how you were feeling.
“We don’t have to tell them-” you start, voice shaky.
“Nonsense, baby.” Soobin cuts you off. He bends down to meet your eyes. “You stay here a lot, and I want you to be happy.” he cups your cheeks with his big hands and places a kiss to the tip of your nose.
After a few months of Soobin being your caregiver, you made the decision that you’ll tell the other members that you regress. He pitched this idea to you last night at bedtime - he wants you to be able to live your life comfortably, and since you spend most of your time in the dorm, it would be better for you if you could regress freely. If you were being honest, you only agreed because you’ll agree with anything he says whilst he’s speaking to you gently and stroking your hair. Now, though, once it’s reached the morning, you were regretting saying yes at all. All morning, Soobin kept reassuring you that they will react just fine, telling stories of how Yeonjun once had a partner that regressed and the other boys were very accommodating of their lifestyle - infact, they didn’t mind at all, and even helped out from time to time. But still, you can’t shake the worry that pools in your stomach. It’s refreshing how they view you as Soobin’s cool, funny partner. You don’t want them to view you any differently than how they do now. It’s not like you didn’t trust them, or that you weren’t close, because you do and you are. You just feel some needless shame.
“Now come on.” your boyfriend continues. “The guys love you, and like I said, they’re familiar with this stuff. They’d never judge you. Once this is over, you’ll realise we made the right choice.”
He tucks your hand into his larger one and gives it an encouraging squeeze. You stand up and he follows, patting your head before leading you off into the living room, where your four friends await you.
~
As Soobin expected, the boys took it very well. Yeonjun was especially accepting, given his experience, as well as Beomgyu since you consider each other best friends. Now though, about an hour later, Soobin and Yeonjun have left for a schedule and you were alone in the living room. You were absent mindedly scrolling on social media whilst the others rustled around in the kitchen, until a scent hit your nose. Stew, and it smells just like the one your family make…
After all the stress you experienced today, this one thing is enough to tip you over into regression. Your head starts to feel fuzzy and your hands start fidgeting, and all you can think of is how much you want your daddy. You sniffle, trying to hold back your panicked tears. Even though they knew now, you couldn’t burden them like this…
All your emotions overwhelmed you and pushed you closer to the edge. Before you could stand up and run to Soobin’s room, a voice piped up beside you.
“Is everything okay?”
It’s Beomgyu. You nod.
“You don’t look okay…” he says, tone cautious. “I came to ask if you wanted to eat with us?”
“I’m fine-”
You try fooling him, but the crack in your voice betrays you. With a concerned sigh, he moves to the sofa and puts his hand on yours. You put your phone down and look at him, and he must notice the tears in your eyes because he instantly pulls you in for a hug. You rest your head on his chest, allowing him to cradle you.
“What’s up, huh? You can tell Beomie…”
The third person baby talk he always does when comforting you is the final push. Even if Beomgyu didn’t exactly know about your littlespace, he always knew just how to comfort you. Without a second thought, you start balling, babbling about how stressed you are and want your daddy. He draws patterns on your back and shushes you as you rant, feeling your pain through your voice. Unsure of what to do, he decides to just straight up ask you -
“So are you regressed?” With a hiccup, you shrug your shoulders. He wasn’t entirely sure why he thought he’d get an answer out of you, but he guesses that you are. He’s seen you in breakdowns before, but he’d never heard you talk like this before. He doesn’t mind taking over whilst Soobin is gone - he’s comforted you many times before, he doesn’t love you any less whilst you’re little.
“I’ll take that as a yes.” he says, a little smile forming on his lips. As he continues, he leans back and reaches out to wipe your tears. “How about we go to Soobi- I mean your daddy’s room to see your plushies, yeah?”
In response, you nod, subconsciously leaning your face on his hand. With a quiet ‘lets go’ he leads you away from the sofa and towards Soobin’s room, and you waddle behind him.
As soon as you enter Soobin’s room, you immediately feel comforted. Everything in here reminds you of him, right down to the off-white wallpaper and the lavender scent of his diffuser. You stop crying right away and start smiling up at Beomgyu, to show him that you feel better now. Beomgyu notices this and smiles right back at you.
“Wanna cuddle whilst we wait for your daddy to get back?”
You nod in excitement, bouncing up and down on the balls of your feet. Next to daddy’s cuddles, Beomie’s cuddles are the best!
~
Curling into one another, surrounded by your beloved plushies, you and Beomgyu settle down. He runs his fingers through your hair, staring down at you with love in his eyes. Even if this is new to your friendship, he wouldn’t mind helping Soobin out from time to time. You are best friends, after all. You’re very precious to him and your comfort is as high up on his list of priorities as his own.
“Thank you for looking after me…” you mumble, head buried in his chest.
“Don’t worry,” he replies, voice soft, squishing his cheek against your head. “this is what friends are for. I’ll always look after you.”

it had been a long day for all of you, but mostly you, as you had been dragged along to every show and event soobin had that entire day. yes, you didn't have to perform or do anything, but you had been tiptoeing around your regressed headspace throughout the day, which sucked a lot of your energy from you. soobin knew that, which is also why he kept you as close as he could and kept an eye on you. you were still your adult self most of the time that day, but he knew that you most likely would slip into your headspace at some point and he'd like to be able to catch you. it happened on the way on to the next city. they had booked a tour bus so they could have their private space in there instead of a cramped car or airplane while moving from city to city. soobin had been sitting on one of the couches, talking to yeonjun and taehyun about some lyrics they were playing around with writing, when you came over and sat beside your boyfriend, leaning your head on his shoulder. he kissed the top of your head to show acknowledgement of the fact that you were there, before going back to the conversation he was having with his group members, which you didn't mind at all, you just wanted to be closer to him, your cg, as you felt your head start to get more and more fuzzy around the edges. at some point you had laid yourself on the couch with your head in soobin's lap, facing into his stomach. when he noticed that your breathing had been steadied and that you had placed your thumb in your mouth (obscured to the others by the way you were laying), he shrugged off his zip-up hoodie, laying it over you as a makeshift blanket. the hoodie was one of your favourite things to have draped over you, as it smelled like soobin and it had a certain weight to it, so as soon as it registered in your cloudy, sleepy brain that it was over you, you sighed and nuzzled closer into soobin, who ran a hand over your hair and smiled as he looked down at you, being rocked deeper into your dream world by the movement of the car driving on.

Cheesy
It wasn’t often the two of you went out to stretch your legs, Soobin being exactly what you’d expect from a classic introvert, but every so often he’d drag himself from his bed or the sofa semi-willingly, get you ready (including slathering you with sunscreen) and head out on a walk with you wherever your feet would go.
Today had no particular destination unlike some rare days where you’d venture to a cafe or the movies or to meet with friends, the two of you ended up taking a lazy walk through the nearest park.
“Sunlight feels good today.”, he sighed and stretched his arm out, his lanyard in hand, ID and keys attached, the other the in yours. Waddling along slowly you let yourself sway, absorbing the sun rays you were definitely lacking. Though it was a little chilly, the occasional wind biting your nose, your Appa had thought ahead for once, wrapping you warmly with one of his favorite scarves.
“Mmhmm”, you agreed, closing your eyes and letting him guide you.
“What are you doing?”, Soobin laughed, working on brushing his bangs out of his eyes, “You’re so sure I won’t lead you into a lamp post??”
“Oh!”, turning to you his eyes blew wide and he stopped mid stride grinning like he’d just gotten the most wonderful idea anyone could have thought up. Almost eerily, you’d decided.
“Appa wants to go see the puppies with my puppy. Is that okay, baby?”, he pinched at your side, taking your hand again and tugging you along slowly while he waited for your answer.
It was something big you hadn’t had the chance to discuss with him and little you thankfully hadn’t had an encounter with your fear thus far in your relationship. Cynophobia; fear of dogs. It was more than just feeling uncomfortable when a dog was around or when it was barking or showing intensity or aggression. It was paralyzing.
Often you didn’t acknowledge it, walking a little faster and going out of your way to avoid a person walking their dog on the street, ignoring the way your heart began to pound as you did so, breath by breath. There weren’t many people who knew of your fear, irrational as it may be. Most people flocked to the sweet and furry animals, in awe of their cuteness and eager to pet and play with them. It wasn’t that you didn’t find them cute. You weren’t blind. The fight, flight or freeze was just the ultimate trump card.
Your mind whirred and your vision blurred as he dragged you excitedly to the dog park that was only a few quick steps away. Soobin had always been happy that he lived so close to a dog park, taking a detour to view one of his favorite animals any time he was out and about on the street. It wasn’t such a good time for you now that you’d moved in with him. But your age-regressed brain couldn’t find words.
Quickly, you’d be able to spot the fluffy animals of different sizes all around. But instead you fixed your eyes to the ground as you listened to the almost instantaneous coos coming from your boyfriend when he spotted a few of his favorite breeds. Soobin chattered off some things about the fluffiness of one dog’s coat and how tiny the paws of another were but you registered none of it as one particular dog and it’s owner closed in and a sense of danger enveloped your entire being.
“Wahh!!! So cute!”, Soobin sounded off fondly, his hands flying to his cheeks, dropping your only anchor in the process. A cold sweat was forming and you knew the dog could sense it, your fear, it’s ears flattening and it’s body becoming rigid as it starred seemingly into your soul.
Obviously not noticing, the owner bowed and laughed at Soobin’s enduring reaction, quick to gestured towards the pet.
“Would you like to pet him??”
Soobin nodded and turned to you, chalking up your shyness to the usual social anxiety you sometimes faced. Giving you the first opportunity, he nodded toward the dog who seemed to relax a little at Soobin’s enthusiastic and positive demeanor.
“Go on.”, that smile could talk you into the damnedest things and with both him and the owner’s attention dead on you, waiting for you to put your hand out and make contact with the canine, the pressure sank to your stomach.
Slowly unclenching the fist you’d been holding, you reached out to pet him, if the owner was so sure. A low, guttural growl vibrated from it’s throat the closer you got. The sound alone was a trigger, your hand flinching back, effectively setting the furred foe off, it’s barks echoing loudly as it’s jaws snapped in your direction.
Taking hold of his leash the owner began to call it’s name, pulling it back away from you while apologizing profusely. The sound was a stabbing in your ears, your heart racing and nausea building in your stomach. Noise and sensation swirling from all direction, your hands couldn’t decided whether to cover your ears or your eyes. Soobin’s gentle touch wasn’t enough to soothe you, you wanted to be squeezed tightly in his arms, to hide and escape the terror encircling you, attacking your nervous system inside and out.
The owner managed to calm the dog and tie it to a bench in view, you weren’t sure how many minutes had passed, only that your palms were pressing into your eyes and Soobin’s arms were around you. After a few more apologies were shared, Soobin talked you from wherever you were hiding in your head.
“Do you wanna go home, Angel? Maybe go sit on the bench?? Appa can buy you something to drink… talk to me, y/n.”, he whispered, looking around to see many eyes look away as soon as he met theirs. A subtle nod was all it took for Soobin to immediately bow and evade the owner who hadn’t stopped apologizing profusely as if it had been their fault.
Walking you home slowly, quietly but with purpose he chatted to himself about the weather and the birds fluttering into trees, every few meters checking on you and adjusting the scarf to hug your face and protect you from the cold. You seemed to have zoned out as he pulled you along, still shaken. Pressing his lips thin he quickly crossed the street with you at his side to stop at the little corner shop near your home.
“Do you want to come in, baby?”, he asked before reaching for the door. On the off chance you had to interact with people in a closed space, you frowned and sat against the wall outside. The cold air was the only thing grounding you when you only wanted to be home.
After scrambling around as quickly as possible, Soobin soon returned with a flavored milk, poked a straw in it and helped you to your feet. He wasn’t always an expert at these things, comforting you, especially in public, but he tried. After a few sips, he deemed it a good effort as you relaxed enough to finish your trip home.
As if frozen, once you arrived home simply stood where he left you, unfinished milk still in your hand. Sighing he helped you out of your coat and shoes, unwrapping the scarf and hanging it by the door and took care of your milk. Once he’d discarded his own coat and shoes, he got to work, making a safe place for you to recuperate. Anime; on. Pillows; fluffed. Plushie; huggable. Knowing he’d be there for a while, he made himself comfortable on the sofa and mentally turned on Appa mode.
“Okay, I’m ready.”, opening his arms he nodded, waiting for you to slowly move to him and crawl into his lap, “that’s good, Angel.”
Fitting you against him he settled back against the couch and held your hand. He was thankful for the practice he’d had with you in a situation like this. Before he’d felt helpless, his stress just as great as yours, not knowing how to fix things or how to help you. But now he bragged like a pro. His (forced) relaxed demeanor definitely didn’t hurt when trying to soothe you.
After two OSTs, an episode and a half, he’d assumed you’d fallen asleep, finally relaxed, until you nuzzled against him and curled your fingers around his.
“You wanna tell Appa what happened, Angel??”, Soobin turned his attention to you, listening to your soft breaths. The show no longer mattered when it came to his angel.
“Got scawed.“, you mumbled, eyelids heavy and energy depleted now that you were comfortable and the tension had left your body.
“Very scared.”, he agreed, rubbing your back as he continued,“What was so scary? Was it a bad day to go out and talk with people?”
As he felt you shake your head no, he confirmed it. You’d been nothing but compliant and happy to go out. He knew that. Thinking for a moment of all the things you’d encountered, he remembered you were definitely frightened by the barking, maybe the loud noise, but you were anxious much before that. It didn’t take long for him to regret not noticing sooner, how much you wavered as you reached to pet the dog.
“Did the doggy scare you??”, Soobin asked, hushed.
After a pause, you nodded, turning the cogs in his brain.
“Petting the doggy?”
You nodded again.
“Was it the kind of doggy it was, baby?”
Shaking your head no, all his questions made the feeling creep back as the conclusion drew closer, leaving you feeling as if you’d done something wrong.
“It seemed friendly baby, why were you so scared? You could have said no if you didn’t want to pet him.”, his genuine confusion seemed only apparent to him, leaving you silent. But he could feel your breath quicken as you tensed against him.
“The doggy was really scary for you, huh?”, he frowned, holding you closer and hating how he hadn’t know all this time. He hated pressuring you, having to coax the answer out of you cause you more stress than he’d meant but this wasn’t your typical panic attack or break down. This wasn’t something he could fix or turn off, he couldn’t make it go away.
“Are all doggies scary for you, Angel??”, his sadness for you only grew as he heard your little sniffles and your tears against his neck while you cried. It was a big deal to both of you in completely different ways.
“You have so many tears, huh, Angel? Hey. Appa doesn’t have to be a scary doggy. Think of me as a friendly soft bunny instead.”, his lips curved up in a soft smile and he twitched his nose against your head trying to lure the sweet sound of your giggles from where they were hiding.
“Stob ittt!!”, you pouted, pushing him away as if you weren’t seated in his lap. After a few shared smiles, he tucked your hair behind your ear, his eyes sincere as they searched for yours.
“You gotta tell Appa when you’re feeling scared, baby. I’d have never put you in a situation like that if I’d known.”
Soobin had always loved dogs. And while you hadn’t always feared them, that would never change. While he was coping with the changes he was already planning in his head to accommodate you, you were still afraid. Dogs were easily on the list of his top five favorite things and you didn’t want to be the reason he scratched it off. But while dogs were definitely on that list, so were you.
“Appa loves doggies.”, you were frowning again, falling back against his chest as the bad feelings were only temporarily sent away.
“Appa loves doggies but he loves his baby more. And I can love them from far away. But I can’t ever be far away from you.”, after a moment he snorted, confusing you enough to look up at him and see his usual shy side-smile.
“That was really cheesy wasn’t it…”
That part of him would never change even as he made a change that seemed so big to you. Soobin who was gentle and kind and sometimes stubborn but this time it applied to what he was willing to do for you. For all his bickering and complaining and pessimistic tendencies, he was all the more warm hearted. It wasn’t the silly, cheesy, false-confident Soobin that made your heart flutter. It was that Soobin. Who was so accepting of you.
“Cheesy”, you smiled, walking your fingers back into his hand. Both of you sighed, feeling okay with some sort of resolution to this doggy-fearing problem and tuned into the tv, realizing you’d missed the rest of the episode.

Hybrid!txt when you smell like someone else
Warnings: gender neutral reader, but for Taehyun's reader is mentioned to have a boyfriend. I should probably mention that when I write hybrids, I don't really picture people with animal features like ears and tails, just animal senses and behaviours? That should help this make more sense. This could also work for werewolves if you prefer to imagine it that way!
Note: this has been sitting in my drafts for months, it kept getting pushed back by other ideas. So glad to get it out. Please let me know which is your favourite scenario!
☆ gender neutral reader
Soobin
You were standing in the kitchen filling the sink with water to start the dishes when you heard the front door. It was game night; the night your boyfriend and his friends ordered in dinner and hogged the TV to play games until they wore each other out, or on some occasions, to tears. So you didn't mind doing the dishes tonight, even though it was technically Soobin’s turn.
"Yah, what's that smell?”
You turned to see Soobin and Beomgyu appear in the kitchen, bags from the convenience store slung over Beomgyu’s shoulder, a telltale sign that he'd lost at rock paper scissors. “Hi guys.”
"Is someone here?" Soobin asked, glancing down the hallway. You shook your head and he immediately dropped his confused expression, his face scrunching in disgust. “Then what smells like dog?”
"I don't... oh. It's probably my new boss, we had a meeting today." After all the time you'd been with Soobin, all the time you'd spent around his friends, you were still not that used to this whole thing. You couldn't always spot their kind, and sometimes you forgot about your boyfriend's intense senses, though you had gotten better since you started dating.
Beomgyu placed the bags atop the counter and scratched the back of his head. "The other guys will be here in a minute, so..." He looked up at Soobin who met his eyes.
This was another thing that happened often. It was like they could just lock eyes and know what the other was thinking without saying a word. The two seemed to finish their silent conversing, turning back to you, matching grins growing on their faces. Your eyes darted between the two of them, trying to get a clue as to what you were left out of the loop about, before they were coming at you. Sandwiching you between them, they both began rubbing their cheeks against yours, scenting you as you squirmed.
"Is this what you're going to smell like every day now?" Soobin asked into your hair.
Beomgyu was finding this funny, his laughter in your ear as you whined in complaint. "You reek! Maybe it's time to find a new job."
Once they were satisfied with their work, they stood back, chuckling at how mussed up your hair was from their handiwork. You pouted up at them and they were even more amused.
The doorbell rang before Yeonjun let himself in, the door still being unlocked. He waltzed into the kitchen with Taehyun in tow. "Who's ready to get whoop-" his face fell and his eyes began to search the floor, before looking between you and Soobin, brows furrowed. "Did you guys get a dog or something?"
Before Beomgyu or Soobin could do anything except smirk at you, you were turning on your heel and announcing that you were going to take a shower.
Yeonjun
When he arrives home, straight away his senses hone in on your jacket hanging over the porch railing, soaking wet—yet still he can smell what you've tried to erase. As soon as you hear his key in the door you’re there explaining, before he can utter a single word.
"This guy at the bus stop was all over me. I had to get a different bus so he wouldn’t be with me on the way here."
He stops midway through taking off his own coat, the shoulders of the garment hanging at his elbows. You hear the strain in his voice, see the fervor flash through his eyes. "What do you mean all over you?"
"He put his arm around me. He kept putting his face close to my ear to ask me questions… but-but I washed my hair when I got home. I washed my jacket twice but I wasn't sure if it would still get to you, so l left it outside. I'm sorry."
His expression faded as he relaxed a little. Still he kept his concentration solely on you as he pulled his hands from his sleeves and hung the coat up. "You don't have anything to be sorry about. Did he do anything else, anything more? Are you okay?"
You sighed tiredly, glad Yeonjun was home and you could have dinner and relax together and put the day behind you. “No, I’m fine.”
Stepping forward, he pulled you into his arms and pressed his cheek to the top of your head. “That’s all that matters.”
Beomgyu
Beomgyu stepped out of the cool night air and into the small store you worked in. He always picks you up when you work the night shift, preferring to drive you home than you taking the bus so late.
You haven't yet noticed his presence, despite the place being empty, busy tidying the shop for closing. As he slinks over to you, you reach up on your tip toes to put something away on a high shelf, and he means to put his arms around you to surprise, but something made him stop short behind you.
"Not again," he says, making you jump out of your skin.
"Gyu!" you yelp. "Don't do that!"
He pouts. "You smell like not you."
Pulling the fabric of your shirt to your nose and inhaling, you shake your head. "I don't smell anything."
You move off to the front desk, Beomgyu trailing behind, still complaining. "Of course you don't smell it, you pure-bred human—" and when you send him a look, he adds, "—affectionately. You just have to take my word for it."
He watches as you clock out and untie the apron from your waist, looking up at him tiredly. "Let's just go home, okay?"
He nods, and after turning off the lights and locking the doors, you make the short walk to his car. It's still warm inside, and it's such a relief to sit down after hours on your feet. You let your head rest back against the seat and look up at your boyfriend as he puts the key in the ignition.
"Thank you," you say tiredly.
As he looks over at you, he grabs something from the mirror and holds it out to you. Taking it from him, you look down to inspect what you've been given—his car air freshener. "You're welcome."
Taehyun
Taehyun couldn't hide his smile as he opened the door, until he got a whiff of something he didn't like. "Hey," he said, trying to act casual despite his senses waving tiny red flags at him. Yet, before he could stop himself, he was asking, "Where have you been?"
He watched as you took off your shoes, a hard task with your hands occupied with the pile of books and stationary you'd brought for studying, and usually Taehyun would be a gentleman and take them for you, but right now his mind was distracted.
"I stopped at my boyfriend's place. I'm sorry, am I late?"
Your boyfriend. He hadn't known you had a boyfriend... had he? He tried to rack brain, think of who you hung out with at school as he lead you into the house. "Oh... no, uhm..."
You walked across him to put your stuff down at the table and he got a stronger smell of the scent that hovered around you. Your boyfriend was definitely not completely human. He wondered if you knew. He wondered if he could compose himself enough to study with this smell hanging around.
"Let's get started," you were saying as you took a seat.
Taehyun tried to ignore his thoughts as he sat with you, listening to you talk about the assignment and dividing tasks. He did his best to focus on the words you were saying, your voice, your eyes, anything he could hold onto. But his instincts were strong. He stood up suddenly, your eyes following him, mouth forming a question. "Would you like anything? To eat or drink?"
Your expression cleared of confusion. "Sure, water would be nice."
Thankful to busy himself and get a break, he walked over to the kitchen and filled one glass, then another, breathing deeply all the while to try to calm his system. As he returned to the table, you were coming back from the front hall, suddenly without your jacket on. You reached out and took one of the glasses from him and sat down once more. He noticed that most of the scent was gone; he could bear being so close to you now.
"I really like that jacket you were wearing," he commented nonchalantly between discussions of school work.
You looked up from your notes with a smile. "Oh yeah? Me too. It's my boyfriend's, I'm always stealing it when I can."
He nodded, trying to keep the small smile from fading. It's okay, I'm okay, his mind was trying to console him. It probably wouldn't work out between the two of you anyway... right?
Huening Kai
He found you on the couch, laying on your side, tucked into a ball. “Hi hun,” he spoke softly, knowing this habit of yours meant something was up. He wasn’t going to bring up the scent he had picked up before he’d even opened the front door just yet.
You peeked up at him and he could tell you were exhausted. “Hi." His smile and his eyes were so warm that you immediately blurted out what was wrong without him needing to ask. "I went to a party.”
“Oh?" Your voice was so small and meak it tugged at Kai’s heart. "A party?”
“I didn’t want to go but my friends… they dragged me there, and I… I’m pretty sure everyone there was…” You pressed your lips together.
“Stinky,” he finished for you with a playful scrunch of his nose.
Nodding, you uncurled yourself to make room for your boyfriend on the couch. He sat and reached for your hand, holding it inside his big, warm one. His hands were always warm. He was always warm. It was one of your favourite things.
“It was kinda scary,” you admitted. At this, he tugged your hand towards him, a sign for you to come closer, and soon you were tucked into his lap.
"I know," he said softly, rubbing his hands up and down your arms soothingly. "I know it's still all new to you."
Humming in agreement, you allowed your head to fall into the crook of his neck. This was the place you felt safest in the whole world, even before you knew that the world was not as you had always thought.
Kai's voice rumbled through his chest, vibrating through you as he spoke. "Maybe a bath might help you relax."
You looked up at him, and he brought his face down to rub his nose against yours, his trademark show of affection with you. "Do I really smell that bad?"
The boy couldn't hide his smirk. "Just a little."

idk how to word it but like. txt mtl letting/wanting you to borrow their clothes?
MOST
soobin - he goes completely soft when he sees you wearing his clothes. the way the fabric engulfs your body and makes you look small makes him happy, because you’re his little baby. it also brings out something domestic in him where he wants to see you walk around in nothing but his clothes.
yeonjun - he absolutely adores when you wear his clothes, however there are a few pieces he wouldn’t let you wear (either because they’re sentimental or just way to expensive to be used for everyday wear) but just about everything in his closet is free range to you, and he’ll even buy new things that he thinks you would like to wear.
taehyun - he can’t help the way his mind malfunctions when he sees the way you light up and cuddle into the fabric of his jacket. not only does it make you happy to wear his clothes but it makes him happy too because now everyone knows you belong to him.
huening kai - he’d be to shy to ask you to wear his clothes so he hints at you to wear his favorite hoodie. he’ll leave it at your place, tempting you to wear it the next time you hang out, or if you stay with him for the night he’ll toss it in with your night clothes so you sleep in it.
beomgyu - he wouldn’t be opposed to you wearing his clothes, but he won’t go out of his way to ask you to wear his shirts or hoodies. he’d much rather see the cute outfits you put together yourself then seeing you in his clothes… he also just doesn’t want more laundry to do.
