@may_philippe had an extremely tough day yesterday. We lost him when our car broke down, then we were able to send help ahead with several sets of dry clothes the change into because of the thunderstorms. Before the help we sent out arrived, a careless driver struck Fifi from the side when she was exiting a parking lot. It could’ve been a lot worse, as there was a lot of traffic and the impact threw him from his bike. We are thankful that his injuries are not worse, but believe he got whiplash as his neck is quite painful now. He is back on the bike and doing very well under the circumstances. do you know a good italian textbook for a beginner? i've been working my way down the duolingo tree and i make flashcards, but i really need some structured learning on grammar and vocabulary, hopefully with exercises :S

Hello! :) Due to my lack of first-hand knowledge of any Italian textbooks designed for foreign learners, I don’t have a tried-and-tested choice to recommend, but I’d suggest checking out this post by @italian-mother-tongue, plus @pezzo-di-paradiso‘s useful additions!

You’ll find links to a number of grammar and workbooks available on PDF, so you can see for yourself which one might suit you best ^^

Personally, I’ve used books from the Routledge Modern Grammar series for other languages; I remember finding some quite good, some so-so; at the end of the day, it depends on the language, but they might be worth a look. I’ll add a link to that one [x] and to its corresponding workbook [x], as the ones in the post I suggested don’t seem to work (at least on my computer).

I hope you’ll find something useful, let me know if you need anything else! ^^
