Mothers Day. This is a hard Day for Some.

Being a Mom has been a Very Interesting Experience for Me.

I take it Very,Very seriously, as One Shud.

I Consider it the Best Thing I had Done with My Life. Motherhood hasn't been easy.

Circumstances and Conditions turned wat was My Very Best thing into something else.

I wouldn't trade it for the World,However There are things I would of done differently.

My Child is and Always will B Amazingness,Personified. Their Happiness is and has always been of Paramount Importance to Me.

Life Is Funny.

One Day. We Pray it all makes sense.

I couldn't face writing about this at the time, so this is about a couple of days ago. We had a rough evening. Normal kid stuff. Wobblies about seemingly trivial things, that meant a lot to them. Or didn't, but they were tired and everything felt harder to cope with. We've all had colds lately, and sleep has been rubbish all-round. We had tears and screaming about lots and lots of different things. Wanting a bath, not wanting to have a bath, not wanting to get out of the bath, bath water was too hot, too cold, not bubbly enough, not deep enough, too deep... That kind of afternoon. I can handle the tears pretty well, but the screaming really affects me. My inner cavewoman's fight-or-flight urges are set off, but I can't do what my body wants to. I can't run away from my screaming child, or fight them. I was completely dysregulated, struggling to calm myself enough to help the children to calm down. I did my best, and they seemed a lot calmer, but I still felt shaky, so when my husband finished work, I took a bit of time to be alone and just calm down listening to music and writing a bit of my next book. When I came back downstairs 20 minutes later, my children gave me hugs and these pictures they had made for me. Zoe said "I made you this to cheer you up," and Jake told me "I drew you a heart to make you feel better, because hearts mean I love you." Oh father.. what is this bond between parent and child..? Does blood that runs and flows in our veins become stronger than any other connection? The mother that was never there, but here is her child that just wants to run to her whenever there’s suffering.. just like a baby born from the womb, instantly knows which way to turn and find the breast to feed and soothe… The father that went missing and never even left a picture.. the child said I love you at their first hello.. and whenever this child fails, they instinctively through the tears, desire to lean onto the solid rock that the father is.. It’s 7am. You wake up to a distant cry for “momma” coming from a nervy monitor. Knowing it’s your day, you reach over to turn the monitor off. You make your way down the hallway to a door where the small voice is coming from. You take a deep breath, twist the door knob while putting on your biggest smile and open the door.

I caught Rome going up a ski hill today, (yes, UP 😂) talking to himself out loud… This is after him asking about why we go fast down hills. “Because of gravity”… followed by me trying to explain gravity to a 4 year old. Clearly, he didn’t understand, when he continued to try to go UP “snow ramps” without any momentum (learning the hard way)… but saying to himself out loud, “Come oooooon, up and up and up, come ooooon…” - somehow, he still accomplished the mission. #PUREGRIT Create your own little cheerleader. If you can teach your kiddos to cheer themSELVES on, speak to themSELVES kindly, they won’t need to source it outside of themselves…(I mean sure, it would help, but why not help create a limitless internal source.) As a parent you grow and learn with your children together, we go through all the good and the bad.

Sometimes I think we have over come a hurdle in maybe behaviours or learning...today we hit a new part of growing up, nightmares,fear and trying to be brave.

People have told me in the past to stop reading everything online, what I read teaches me how my little ones brain works, how to beat resolve issues without creating more problems!

I learnt so much over four years and I’m now learning how to understand children’s fears and resolve them in a healthy way, to manage emotions and find coping methods.

Sometimes we hit a point where we think that maybe it’s our faults they got to this point but truth be told...thier brains are amazing and forever changing so many things are envatable and mum quilt should never fall into many things of growing up.

They have stages in development where fantasy is still believed but reality starts sinking in....the world is big and can be scary, it’s ok to have fear and no matter how silly or small it is for us parents it’s very big for our children and should never be shoved off. Helping them understand is so important and how to deal with any kind of emotions they face.
