At the rate at which it's going, I doubt there will ever really be a complete film and TV history of Sherlock Holmes, but this book is an absolute wealth of knowledge on the most portrayed human literary character of all time. This felt strange. Both having such adventurous souls, only to be confused to your homes felt so wrong.

No one was permitted to leave their homes for anything unnecessary. Sailing away was unnecessary.

Here you sat with Will Turner, the love of your life, sitting opposite you. Silence filled the room as you fiddled with a coin on the table.

"How long will last, do you think?"

"I don't know, Will. For as long as they say." You sigh as you toss the coin once, twice.

"I don't know how long my sanity will hold."

You chuckle and leave the coin alone as you reach for his hands.

"Didn't realise I was such bad company."

"I didn't mean that." He holds onto your hands and lifts them to his lips, pressing a kiss to either one. "I just think we would be alright if we could get on a ship."

"The port is guarded," you remind him.

"I know that."

"Hey, who knows? Jack Sparrow has a reputation for popping out of the wood work like it's no one's business. Maybe we will get lucky." You smirk slyly.

"I doubt he's anywhere near by." Will chuckles regardless.

"I said 'if we get lucky.'" You wink at him.

More silence fills the air as you go back to playing with the coin. It was the only thing close by you could use to keep your hands busy.

Then you got an idea.

"Will, could we practise our skills?" You looks toward the swords that were just begging to be picked up.

"I don't see why not."

You both get up at the same time and reach for your respective swords. It feels so good to hold it. All those times you've used it on your adventures come rushing back to you.

Will smiles when he sees the look on your face. He can't resist as he lifts your chin and kisses you passionately, being careful with the swords you're both holding.

He leaves you breathless.

"What was that for?"

"Just for being you." He smiles softly.

You roll your eyes and raise your sword. He just shakes his head, amused, as he raises his own.

Maybe this won't be so bad after all.
