Long Emily design explanation/rant thing ignore it probably but pls dotn im desperate: I wanted to make her more round and soft cuzzz I love those typa designs I'm just a sucker for circle characters. Made her actually black and not fuckin gray cuz its a transformation to look more human and gentle(for me they go between two forms, their true ones that we see the first time we see them snd their human/softer ones if they ever interact with actual humans which... they usually dont.) Not a demon form tfff. In this version I wanted to put Emily in animal inspired features like... the sheep nose, ears, and hooves. Because she and Sera know that humans and about all beings love animals. Birds have sharp features mostly so they don't look as welcoming as they want to seem. I wanted Emily to look sheep likes and pretty much all the seraphim look more sheep like to make Lucifer stand out as the only one who was symbolized as a snake/goat(still don't know if I'll make him goat or make Lillith goat. I'll decide when I get there lmao). Justtt overalll wanted Emily to look more round, welcoming, and cute. I kept the freckles lighter than her skin color(even tho that's SUPER not accurate to what actually black people look like with freckles but whatevr) because it reminded me of fawns and.... sure Emily is a sheep but I still wanted to incorporate other cute animal traits with her cyz y not.

I am. currently untangling this thread of thoughts about the stamatin twins and daniil and this kind of. triangle that's happening. a three fold bullet for sure, the kind of recognition-awareness-understanding where three people become one, but to step back from that. when daniil and andrey talk, there's a specific shape of peter that stands in his conversational absence. so: triangle formation. it's opposite-adjacent-complementary to daniil and peter's conversations. it all goes back to that first conversation you have with andrey. it's giving knife. love it!

Buck and Eddie are going to be pissed at each other/one of them is going to be pissed at the other, but not for the reasons you think.

Before anyone asks, I'm not being shady and I don't know how the season is going to unfold, but I do know that in all the years of Buck and Eddie being BuckandEddie, we've seen them survive a lawsuit (essentially: Buck at his most selfish), a kidnapping, a nervous breakdown (essentially: Eddie at his most destructive), a shooting, and so many other things that have yet to actually rock the core of their relationship. I think this—whatever this is—is going to strike at the heart of who they are together and that? That fascinates me.

#Buck and Eddie present probably the most stable and cohesive unit on the show second only to Bobby and Athena and I mean that quite #literally. Nothing either of them has done has ever been done *to* each other. Hen cheated on Karen. Maddie walked out on Chimney. While #there were extenuating circumstances surrounding both of those events that doesn't change the fact that they happened. With Buck and Eddie #hurting each other has always been a byproduct of something larger. In Season 3 Buck hurt Eddie... but it was only because he got caught in #the crossfire between him and Bobby. In Season 5 Eddie hurt Buck by leaving the 118 (and essentially “breaking up with him”)... but that is #only because he was struggling with PTSD. They've never launched direct hits at each other/their dynamic because they have always been — by #all accounts — assured of who they are when they're together even if that assurance doesn't always extend to knowing who they are #individually. So the idea that they might stand at the precipice of having to navigate something they did to each other? Or (as I suspect) #something Buck did to Eddie? That's going to be really interesting to witness. I want to see them test how strong they really are when one #of them pushes the bounds of the relationship. As soon as Dawn climbs over the edge, Atlas runs to her, and they crash into each other with a fierce hug.

Atlas: I thought I’d lost you. Dawn: I’m here, I’m okay.

When Phoenix makes it up a moment later, Atlas rushes over to give him a hug as well.

Atlas: Thank you. Phoenix finds himself unable to speak, managing only a choked sob.

They all come together, and for a moment just stare at each other like they’re not quite sure what to do next. Then, Dawn breaks the silence and startles them all by screaming:

Dawn: Holy shit!

With that, they all slowly devolve into fits of laughter.

Kiyoshi: Alright alright, is everyone good?

They respond with various forms of yeses and nods as they wipe their eyes and catch their breath.

Kiyoshi: Let’s get moving then. We still have a ways to go.

And so, they continue on, making their way to the summit through the deep snow.

Hours later, the sun begins to set. Even through all their layers, the cold seeps into their bones, their extremities already numb. All four of them are exhausted, muscles and lungs burning. They hike in silence, each one focusing only on putting one foot in front of the other.

Just as Phoenix is wondering whether he’s going to make it, he feels Dawn pull on this arm.

His breath catches for a second thinking something might be wrong, but when he looks up she’s smiling. Her smile is so big and bright that his heart skips a beat and he can’t help but stare in awe.

Dawn: Phoenix, look! We made it!

#darumaka #since this is a gen 5 'mon (and‚ as we all know‚ i skipped gen 5 as a kid) i actually ended up playing gen 8 BEFORE gen 5 #and so i thought the galarian form was the only form. and i saw this fire version and i was like oh cool a fakemon form #it took me quite a bit to realize that the fire version was the original and that the ice-type form was the galarian form. because like #the games don't differentiate in the names between forms. they don't call galarian zigzagoon “galarian zigzagoon‚” they call it zigzagoon #so if someone's first game was gen 8 they'd have no way of telling that that's actually a regional version of a gen 3 pokémon #and i experienced that firsthand with galarian darumaka

Just had the sleep-deprived idea of combining my Cryptid Batfam Au with @phoenixcatch7 's Possessed Doll Au into a combo au, some distant timeline where the two combine and meld into one thing.

Honestly would be slightly body horror probably, maybe with Bruce starting with building wings and then it... escalates. There's a reason that people don't go down in the caves under Gotham, and Bruce is incredibly lucky that It welcomes him. Perhaps welcomes him too much, what with it seeming to build him another body each time he gets injured, even if it's just bruising. Not to mention that another is forming when he takes Dick in, and then another when Barbara joins them.

There's something not quite the same the first time he wakes up in a body that is his but not, something organic but not. Testing on it is fine, small tests that is, anything larger and his head starts to pound and ring. It's easier to just accept the shadows' gifts than question it.

Honestly I like to think the body is something between inorganic and organic, like veins of flesh and fur wrapped around bones and metal. Like a flesh puppet of sorts, starts all skeletal and mostly metal and wood but the veins of black and red start to grow over time as the whispers about the Bat spread.

Honestly I also like to think it's more animalistic than the original possessed doll au, the wood easily mistaken for things like chitin, especially with the segmentations. Combine the chest cavity with the harness that the kids cling to, and you have a back cavity lol. The 'Spine' seemingly splitting open to hide things inside. Bruce probably does have clothing for the body, but I wanted to figure out the general body first lol.
