i am definitely the only person who cares about this but I was re-reading parts of Sea of Monsters (irrelevent as to why) and. in the chariot race. well, a.) The Ares cabin has skeleton horses. where did they get skeleton horses? and then, actually more confusingly, b.) almost all the other chariots besides Hephaestus cabin (they have automatons) have normal horses. not pegasi. Percy actually specifically identifies the Apollo chariot’s horses by breed which is very funny to me because Of Course He Would but like. We never see CHB have normal horses at any other point in time? Where did they get the horses?

Does anyone have fun headcanons for some random events that happened at Camp Jupiter during the time of the Titan war? Because we know next to nothing about the Romans but I refuse to believe they didn't have any crazy weird events and quests.

Like, if the Seven were to talk about the time before HoO (or generally any Romans and Greeks) and Percy and Annabeth would go like "Oh and we went through the sea of monsters and ended up on Circe's Island that one time" or "and that's how Percy showed up to his own funeral", sure, that would be a crazy story. But Jason also defeated a Titan on his own and Reyna only ever went to CJ After Percy and Annabeth were at Circe's island, what was the crazy stuff that happened in between?

Also what did the Romans think Caused the Titan War since they obviously couldn't have known it was Luke?

Was thinking about Lost Hero earlier and thought about something.

Did Hephaestus really want to ignore Leo like that?.

Like what if he physically couldn't do anything to help him?

Earlier in the book, Gaia states in Leo's memory that she cannot 'destroy him yet' and that 'the Fates will not allow it'

So weve established that even Gaia has to listen to the fates. So when Hephaestus says this;

It makes me think of a theory:

What if Hephaestus wanted to help Leo? But the fates wouldnt let him?.

Like he does actually seem to care about him and expresses some sadness over Leo's shitty life.

Or maybe I'm just making connections that aren't there, cus I fucking love this weird autistic hermit man and his also weird little autistic son.

Even so, I'd like someone else's opinion on this theory.

the percy jackson show is everything i dreamt of, and more.

they really did the books justice. they didn't miss a single iconic moment so far. the characters are perfectly written, and the actors are amazing. i knew from the beginning that walker scobell was The perfect cast for percy, and turns out the whole cast is like that! it looks like they pulled the characters right from the book, made them magically real.

but i also love all the new things and twists they added. the story is so slightly different that someone with a vague knowledge of the story wouldn't notice but someone who's read the books multiple times would see, but wouldn't be bothered by it.

it's exactly the story i fell in love with over a decade ago, and never stopped loving. but from a slightly different angle. those changes are slight enough that's it's still That Story, but big enough that it feels like i'm falling in love with the story again. and it feels magical.
