So this afternoon, I finished reading the nicest Sorariku fanfic that features a trans male version of Sora. Sora and Riku initially marrying to satisfy their homophobic and transphobic parents (Sora isn't out as trans to his folks so they see him as a girl, while Riku's are homophobic). Their parents set them up at first and they get to know each other while pretending to date before deciding to marry so their parents get out of their hair. Somewhere along the way, Riku falls for Sora.

Ok I didn't intend to do this theme this soon. I kept telling myself: "please Smile just practice more, you cannot do the falling pose yet". But I have a bigger problem: Past Smile left me with all the tough-nut depressing shitty themes to draw. You see X-mas and New Year are coming soon and there is no way I will post a depressing picture on X-mas or New Year. Bad luck! Bad luck! So I'd better get rid off some depressing themes now. On November!

Descriptions: This picture is inspired by this wonderful fanfiction from fanfiction.net: New York City M.N. Murder Case (link: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12367644/21/New-York-City-MN-Murder-Case)

It lies on the ending of Chapter 21: Fall. Lemme just summarize it for you: Mello bet that Near hadn't even fallen once and Near begged to differ. He had fallen 4 times. I quoted his words to Mello ok:

1/ The day you learnt about L's death... I fell from Heaven 2/ The day you left Wammy's House... I fell to the ground 3/ The day you were declared death... I fell with you 4/ And today, the day you finally came back to me... I am falling for you

Agrrrrr it sounds so cheesy but trust me if you read it in the context it's touching as fuckkk.. I lost sleep several days because of this fanfiction xDDDDD So I will draw 4 pictures inspired by Near's 4 times fallings (well actually 3 because one I had done in the past):

1/ The day you learnt about L's death... I fell from Heaven --> This picture: Theme No. 13. Misfortune 2/ The day you left Wammy's House... I fell to the ground --> Theme No. 38. Abandoned 3/ The day you were declared death... I fell with you --> Theme 76. Broken pieces 4/ And today, the day you finally came back to me... I am falling for you --> Theme 002. Unfortunately it is about SoraRiku, not Meronia though lol and I don't intend to redo it =v=

Author's notes: - Erm.. what I feel about Near is that to him L's death is of no importance at all because L does not matter to him. But because that death affected Mello and Mello mattered and in consequence it affected him as well. So in some way it's kind of a bad luck/misfortune to him. If not for it Mello had never left and their time in Wammy's House together would have been longer and maybe the ending would have been different. So we have Near falling from Heaven with one of his wings injured as he said so in the fanfiction. - I enjoyed every moment drawing this theme. I tried to do it in one layer like the picture Sorrow Past Smile used to do. But I failed with his hair lol The falling pose is awkward as well. My intention is that he fell from the sky (and lands on his back) but my colleague said it looks like the opposite: he jumps from a high place and will land on his hands and feet. I admit he is right but I can't figure out how to fix it. Maybe the problem lies on his feet pose? I don't really know but what's done is done == - I remember Past Smile was very good at adding texts/brushes but I forget how to do so. I just added the quote in a simple way == - I know the clouds are shitty but I drew them myself. I didn't use any brush (Past Smile hardly drew any background, she just added brushes/textures) so I give myself a pat on the head for the courage to try new things =v= what's the point in improving if I just copied everything?

These days mornings at the lab would begin with a piece of paper laid out under an Einstein paper-weight. As usual, the sheet was written in an uneven, cursive scribble that was hard to read without squinting one's eyes and turning one's head left to right with every spin and spiral of the especially curly letters. They began when Sora was about twelve years old. They were blurry at first, too much to tell what was going on, but after a year or so they began to slowly take shape.  (CloudLeon, RikuSora - KH)

Lastly, I’ll explain that why KH and FF versus just one or the other was labeled based on the game world used and character vibes/characters used.

This was a fun exercise… and makes me realize I’ve got a loooong way to go in writing.

Was playing Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance and was doing the second part of Transverse Town with Sora.

I saw the namesake for a Kingdom Hearts/TWEWY crossover fic in the dialogue. The fic gets its name from when Neku and Shiki invite Sora to Shibuya by saying, "See you in Shibuya."

The fic itself takes place post Kingdom Hearts III and is a Sorariku fic and it's really great. I'm gonna reread it after I beat Dream Drop Distance since it feels like Sorariku game to me.
