Also it's about the clothes that Zhongli is wearing! I love the idea that General Kapisas/Menogias loved to create clothes (I also like to headcanon that he made Xiao's clothes, because in his design you can find traces of the other Yakshas), and I can't help but compare Zhongli wearing these clothes in a time of peace to a parent that wears something made by their child (yes I love the hc that Morax adopted the Yakshas)

Menogias designing and making clothes was not something I expected, but it honestly makes perfect sense considering he'd been vehemently trying to get Bosacious to just wear something in that one cutscene, plus his own drip 👀

I'm convinced that guy has a whole domain of personalized outfits for everyone somewhere. Shaking at the actual possibility of the five Yaksha having a matching set of clothes that went unused

Zhongli wearing the clothes in times of peace or in casual settings feels less like he's afraid to ruin them (if they could withstand being worn after centuries then they could probably handle more taxing activities, especially if adeptal art was involved) and more on letting something of Menogias' to be free from their reality of strife at the time, so he could continue to enjoy what he enjoys without pressure. Also, they're just REALLY nice clothes

I don't know. I think I covered it, but they're definitely not the same type of being. Built for different things. I even think it was Jimmy's soul that caused Castiel to feel emotions in the first place. In the lore, he does not. I think Jimmy's soul was really messing with him because he wasn't just using it for power and holding it like Godstiel, it was actually in his mind. Like Castiel held Dean's soul possibly inside him in Hell but it wasn't like with Jimmy. Jimmy is holding Castiel, not the other way around. Castiel wasn't coping and Jimmy died. But Castiel has still be altered.

You know, to the first part I would have said no, but looking at Crowley, with some love, maybe? Love would fix Castiel in seconds, even a small amount (April with the PB & J - he loved it forever) but I'm not sure about a soulless human. Maybe it depends on the individual. A soulless human may be better than one with a corrupted soul - a demon, as you said.

I think this is a really fascinating idea: that Cas himself gets “corrupted” by souls (in the same way that demons do, but in reverse) and so gets influenced by whosever souls he holds within. It would make sense wrt the godstiel conversation. It also makes sense bc Cas really starts getting along with Sam after he saves him from the cage…after he’d held his soul (and lost it). Love the point with Jimmy too…Cas got lost in Jimmy and never really came back out.

The Crowley point is interesting too and I think further cements the fact that angels and demons are really separate sides of the same coin: all capable of love and craving it thru any contact they can find it

I'm gonna be honest with you, whatever Wangshu Inn has going on right now is already practically catered to my tastes

Like you have the big winding tree, lots of foliage at the top balcony, a panoramic view of the plains, wood, the elevator, and a bunch of stairs. If I still had those minecraft worlds my friends and I messed around with as kids, you might find I have a tendency for giant treehouses

The only redesign I might do would probably involve more hanging rooms and some railings on the steps to the top balcony, I guess?

That point about Godstiel is very interesting! Do you think so? I really like Godstiel, though he did amazingly. He was ruthless (to people who deserved it) but I assumed it was because Dean had hurt him so very badly, from which he never ever recovered (he asked for love and respect and got a no, and Dean teamed up with another Angel against him, despite a lot of their relationship being based on Castiel rescuing Dean from Angels and Dean hating them. Castiel was an extremely hurt God - an soulless being without self esteem inside and no god figure (they need one) to help).

Hm I think it was a mix for me. Part personal betrayal by dean/his friends, where he desperately wants them to trust him and they just…didn’t. Part feeling like he needed to step up and fill the power vacuum and fix the world (an impulse that continues to follow him throughout the series). And part of the physical impact of shoving all those souls in there, which probably really did a number on his empathy (all those voices in there at once) as well as all these conflicting feelings and moral compasses because of all the mishmash of souls he’s consumed.

Might be the last ask for a while because I’m currently trying to finish Soul Eater and watch Fire Force at the same time so I haven’t had a lot of time to really think on my AU, but here’s more characters: the next set of protags are Ethan/Gold and Silver, Ethan as the meister and Silver as the weapon (a scythe! because I like scythes and no other reason!). I also like the idea of Cyrus (or most Pokémon antagonists really) being a self-sufficient weapon like a chainsaw or a machine gun!

Thanks! I've been a horror fan since I was younger, I don't even remember when it started. But in terms of horror themes in my drawing, I've been inspired by Silent Hill 2, Satoshi Kon, Evangelion, Lain, and Goodnight Punpun. The last 4 ones mostly delve into the psychological aspect.

I think I lessened my horror art in recent months because I started feeling great about life, so I've been leaning on more wholesome/recovery themes.

I used to draw horror a lot because I was at a really low point in my life, and it comforted me at the time. Now I just draw horror for fun.

And yes, Slay the Princess is bringing me back and reminding me of my love for the genre OOps.
