i love spock with cats just like everyone and i don’t know how much y’all know about cat body language but i felt this would be important to share

this cat is extremely happy (understandable), she’s slow blinking (sign that she’s content/comfortable) and even making biscuits a little bit (the way she clenched her paws like she’s kneading, another sign of comfort/that she trusts the person she’s with)

Do you think Kirk sometimes touches Spock briefly so Spock knows what emotions he is truly feeling bc he knows Spock may not understand sarcasm or irony in the joking way humans do and he may misunderstand by thinking Kirk is making fun of him even tho Kirk would never do that? And it sometimes backfires bc Spock doesn't know what those emotions are based on, they are too abstract and he just stands there looking at his hand like "tf does that mean"? And maybe sometimes Kirk does it very fast or just passing by and sometimes that "hey don't worry these are my true emotions" reassurance touch ends in an accidental vulcan kiss and Spock stands there looking at his hand longer than normally and thinking "TF DOES THAN MEAN?!?!" ?

love spock & t'pring's dynamic actually and I don't mean romantically I mean like they so clearly are so not interested in being married to each other but they're still very much vibing on an 'I respect you but regrettably we're on opposite sides here' level. like in spock's mind obviously she did reject him & in the process he had to kill the love of his life but at the same time. it made perfect sense for her to do it & he can respect the logic in it. I don't think he actually blames her at all he just thinks the situation sucks. I have always had such love for K/S and this particular drawing was designed to imitate analog (traditional) art, as a homage to the iconic, gorgeous Star Trek fanzines that gave us K/S. They were lovingly and painstakingly made by hand.

This is of course, not from 1979. It's from today, but hopefully doesn't look so much like it. The lovely quote is from A Taste of Armageddon and sometimes I can't believe it's real. I'm thinking about making a companion piece for Spock, let me know if you are interested. And let me know what you think. <3
