Welcome to samdalri and Doctor slump are very very special because both represent the genre of people who basically sacrificed their youth trying to achieve the next big thing and then they DID smash every milestone they ever set for themselves but instead of being able to ride that high, all that effort, all the running, the one track pathway only lead to burnout and exhaustion and the idea that all good things only come to those who wait is fucking absurd because you have to, have to find the good in everything, everyday and every single experience life gives you.
It’s perfectly okay to have big dreams but there is nothing in this world that will ever be worth a damn if you don’t take care of yourself along the way and sometimes, sometimes, when you’re going too fast and you know you’re headed for a crash, it’s better to slow down and reassess your priorities because if you, your happiness and your mental and physical health aren’t at the tippy top of that list of priorities then you have no business driving that fast. The steeper the climb, the harder the fall; and you can only stand at the top of the Everest if you don’t die in the process

watching my demon feels a lot like watching doom at your service - the themes seem repeated with the addition of jeong gu won and do do hee’s cuddliness.
but watching welcome to samdalri feels a lot like watching hometown cha cha cha - it’s a similar setting, and we all know what’s going to happen, but they both feel like coming home.

A SHOP FOR KILLERS
GENRES: Action, Mystery
SUMMARY: A hacker, a recluse, a muay thai killer, a young woman, her uncle, and his mercenary colleagues learn about their pasts and what the future holds for their careers.
THIS SHOW HAS EVERYTHING: Fridge post-its, aphasia, boring funerals, cheetah documentaries, explosions, hostages, secret armories, spy gear, bulletproof closets, part-time jobs, motorcycle dates, giant cleaners, CG robots, and familial trust.
HOT TAKE: This show is a rough watch in all the best ways. Its got great John Wick-style action, a simple enough plot to not distract from the character movement, and some great, low-key acting chops. Although it hasn't been announced, I CANNOT WAIT for a Season 2 of this show.
Also, as usual (and forever) Lee Dong Wook looks amazing in literally every scene he's in, no matter how many bruises or bandages he carries with him.

On the 3rd of August, eight years ago, Wonder Girls released their third Korean studio album, REBOOT.
The Wonder Girls were more involved in the composition of this album, with each member having writing and/or production credits on at least one song; each song has credits for at least one member. This is the first album in years to feature Sunmi and the first since the departure of Sunye and Sohee. The album musically conveys a 1980s-inspired style, incorporating genres including synthpop, hip hop, pop rock and dance-pop.
Reboot was met with critical acclaim from music critics who praised its concept and musical styles. Billboard named the record the best K-pop album of 2015 and the fourth best K-pop album of the 2010s. Commercially, Reboot charted at number five on the Gaon Album Chart and number two on the Billboard World Albums.
