David Bowie: I am going to write a song that's a sequel to space oddity, a semiautobiographical song about drug abuse, a nursery rhyme, and an experimental song with trippy opera and horse sounds and stuff
Producer: sounds great that's like half an album
David: No it's all the same song

hello :) could you maybe explain a little bit how dan wootton blackmailed louis?
ugh sorry for taking a while to get to this. The problem is I feel like the only two ways to answer this are by spending a week and a half of full time labor sifting through old posts and evidence to get every detail right and lay out an airtight case, or to halfass something very serious, and so I felt a little stuck. So since I can't seem to find a good halfway point, apologies but here is the half assed version, if you want to get into it more I invite you to do your own deep dive or talk to other people, but here's how I remember things.
Louis has almost never on video explicitly said things about Larry not being real and/or anything negative about fans and their theories (mostly the opposite), up until the last couple years when he obviously decided to make a major change he didn't talk about Freddie much at all let alone saying he was his kid, honestly not that much about Eleanor even; except for in two major interviews with Dan Wootton, each of which lined up with a serious traumatic Tomlinson family event that they managed to keep out of the tabloids until the very end (Jay's illness and Fizzy's struggles with substance abuse). After the fact of those events a lot of small things that didn't make sense at the time came together to look very much like Louis traded those interviews (and those answers) for having his family's private matters kept private. Story trading of this kind is a publicly known real thing that happens, and there were various clues that suggested he was being leaned on about those stories to lend legitimacy to the idea that it was something that happened in these cases. Given what we know about Dan Wootton and how he operates even before the recent flood of information and even more now, I think it's more than likely that he has been holding the threat of outing Louis (as he has done to many other public figures) over his head for over a decade, and has used his family's tragic struggles to get Louis to dance like a fucking puppet for him and I will REJOICE at his downfall when it comes whether it is now or 20 years from now... because someday it will, he has made too many enemies to stay above it forever

had a dream that i dropped some food on the crotch of my jeans, so i told my pup, who was already kneeling by me and collared, to clean it
when they tried to move away, i pulled their head back and had them mouth at me thru my jeans like a good little pup

It's so interesting and so exceedingly frustrating how agab is being utilized now within the queer community as a way to isolate and sort nonbinary and genderqueer folks into binary boxes that determine their moral purity levels, and their authority to do and write and exist.
The way nonbinary writers are being put under accusation of fetishizing gay men while their AGAB is continually brought up in a way that feels like queer-space-approved misgendering.
The way feminist circles that are supposedly trans-inclusive will use the word AFAB in a way that implicitly but intentionally isolates nonbinary people who aren't AFAB from joining. It's for women*.
The way the language is already flawed and leaves out intersex folks from the conversations while focusing on a binary of sex that isn't truthful.
The constant obsessing over whether someone is AFAB or AMAB and whether or not that gives them the privilege to join, do, write, or be present in certain spaces really really concerns me. How are we supposed to dismantle a binary system of gender if we can't even move past forcibly assigning and focusing on people's genders assigned at birth?

in honour of ur first car. which creeps are the best/worst drivers in ur opinions
- anon 🌙
AAGHH WHAT A GOOD WAY TO HONOR. LOL OK i got this. explanation under the cut
best
tim
jane
brian
liu
jack
ann
nina
toby
lulu
natalie
jeff
kate
ben/sally
worst
this isnt ranked entirely by like legitimate skill... some are more technically skilled but reckless, some are more cautious but bad at it, so i kinda went off of who's passenger seat i'd be most comfy in LOL
i'd consider tim, jane, liu, brian, and jack good drivers. jack and liu are cautious to a fault. janes above brian only cuz she is less likely to break a law lmfao. tims very comfortable driving around. he's a trucker in my au so ofc im gonna put him first. this batch is also the oldest so they have more experience behind the wheel
i consider ann, nina, toby, and lulu ..decent drivers. ann and nina are the type to hit a curb and be like ^_^ oops! and park crooked but otherwise r fine. toby's nervous about driving and had a late start, plus everyone think his tics would be dangerous so he gets even more nervous, but he knows how to drive. doesnt like it much . . lulu is so unbelievably nervous driving all the time she hates it so much . despises driving faster than 30mph. can't do freeways. will re-do her parking 30 times cuz she's embarrassed.
natalie, jeff, kate, ben, and sally suck . natalie likes to speed and ignore stop signs . if she wants to make an illegal u-turn she's gonna do it, but she's good in terms of technical skill. jeff likes to break every law AND he fucking sucks at it LOL, cannot gauge distance for shit, can't park, can't stay in his damn lane. kate had her life ruined by the operator when she was like 14, so she never learned .. she has no desire to learn either. .... ben and sally r kids so. yea

you know one thing the internet has taught me? to stick up for myself. now if a creepy guy messages me i don't waste energy trying to be nice. i tell him exactly what i think of his behaviour and then i tell others. if someone tells me i suck i laugh and make sure i have people that care about me surrounding me. so you know. the internet's a bad place, but not all bad <3

really weird thing ive noticed lately re: hermits getting critiqued for stuff theyve said or done is that as soon as someone holds a shit opinion (even if it's just them being stupid, or a centrist, or saying a bad word without knowing what it means, or whatever) people immediately seem to flock to the 'this guy should die' 'kys' 'why are we giving this person a platform' rhetoric and like. that's not how meaningful change is made?
like, yeah, if one of my beloved CCs posted a tweet or video tomorrow about how much they hate gay people, or believe in conservative ideals, or they just said a bunch of slurs or whatever (these are hyperbolic examples obviously) then yeah, fuck them, they should go rot. but like, having some dumb takes, or saying bad things in the past, doesn't = evil terrible person...
idk, i feel like we can critique content creators without getting so insane about it. like, shit, there are things some of my favourites do that i don't like, but theyre not even really worth bringing up tbh. unless its something actually important, i feel like it just creates more drama out of nothing and all these assholes come crawling out of the woodwork to tell everyone how much they hate that creator. or find their content boring anyway so clearly they have no real merit to anyone.
more of an explanation of what i mean in the tags but yeah.
