thats still in the works!!!!!!!! a recent development with oscar is he has a slight playboy streak that he developed just as a consequence of picking up girls that lime rejects!! its one of those "Ah lime turned me down!!! but this guy (oscar) is kinda cute too...he seems like the wholesome type..." and then for reasons unspecified, it doesnt work out. no one ever SEES it end, its just "Oh so hows [girl oscar is dating]?" "Oh we broke up! Yeah she didn't like all the ghost videos i watch haha" or some random ass reason?????? in any case, oscar has a slightly bad habit of going "Oh youre not doing anything huh? Why not go out with me?"

eventually this reaches ikasumi, who was not in the batch of women who lime rejected BUT oscar took an interest in her because, yes, goth mommy hot (LMFAO). ikasumi by nature is very "Leave me alone, golden retriver boy." BUT shes also a broke artist, so it becomes "C'mon, food my treat?" "What time and where" so they do date for a time!!!

i also dont have it ironed out how it ends between them but certainly by the time the post-timeskip begins and theyre all living in the capitol, ikasumi considers him her "Annoying ex-boyfriend," who pops into magg-lynns antiques regularly and flirts with her+tries to get her to go out with him again at every chance

(at one point this pops up in a conversation with lime. says something like "Oscar, maybe you should just leave her alone already. You can get other girls." out of concern, and oscar just smiles and goes "I guess. She's the only one I really liked, though." and everyone just STARES at him in SHOCK)

Now that chapter 4's out and the aforementioned narrative shift I made and hinted at in the summary is explicitly stated (that Beej is, in fact, allowed to fuck around with men), I can officially say that when I rewatched WTK the other day while introducing my friend to it, I recontextualized it in the sense of local lonely codependent man who has never done well with long distance has walked off this plane instantly looking for whoever is going to be his intimacy rock while he's here, and he just happened to be lucky enough to find him in the first 30 seconds, and he KNOWS it, and so instead of it being a long game to find a man he feels chemistry with, it becomes a question of seeing if he's safe with him or not, and it made it a much more devastating watch.

Just a whole extra layer of honey, you've got a big storm coming, in addition to, you know, the USUAL bullshit he has to live through over the next year or two.

when i saw 'cabin in the woods in middle of nowhere new hampshire' bad i mean it. i have a 65 year old father from northeastern mass that's the only type of vacation i ever go on (if you're wondering what it's like it's like a modern day yellow wallpaper btw) . i know my cabins in middle of nowhere new hampshire. i've been to multiple with better wifi than i currently have. that says a lot btw.

#one of my fave cabin trips was one where i was on my period and don't do tampons so i couldn't swim and there was absolutely nothing to do #there and the only place phones worked at all was in this one building which was a common area (i don't use technology without a wall #directly behind me. this post brought to you by the children of helicopter parents gang) and closed for most of the day. so all i had to do #was draw. listen to the singular episode of tma i had downloaded in preparation for the trip (yeah that's what era it was) #(it was the bonus episode live show recording bc that's what had just come out). pace back and forth from my room to the empty room across #the hall. eat the bags of cherries and saltwater taffy we'd gotten at the nearest grocery store after we checked in. and peel the possibly #lead paint off the walls (in the room across from mine bc if it were mine i might get in trouble or something idk). #i genuinely blame this trip for making my maladaptive daydreaming 50x worse than it already was. also none of the doors locked. the cabin's #main door wasn't even a door it was just an open doorframe. our cabin wasn't even just us either. or that much of a cabin. it was more of a #long building with a doorway to the outside in the middle w like 10 tiny rooms on either side of it. bc of covid they didn't pack it in lik #they normally would and instead just put me and my dad on the far end of one side and then some other family on the other and thank god the #did bc i would've lost my mind otherwise. the doors that didn't lock included the bathroom. which there were two of in the entire building #btw. my dad slept with his door open the entire time we were there. the windows were just screens with no glass. or curtains. #and my dad spent the entire time having ditched me to go swimming. most of the times i saw him were accompanied by 'are you sure you don't #wear tampons' 'we could go borrow a kayak instead' (my dad has a long history of flipping kayaks) or 'you should totally use the outdoor #shower' (he has an unexplainable obsession with outdoor showers and he really wants me to use them. for some reason). the only times i left #the two rooms i was pacing across were mealtimes where i developed a tea addiction which still plagues me to this day. attending the talks #he'd been given the free vacation in exchange for giving. he didn't just decide to go on vacation (however secluded) in the middle of covid #on his own. yes my attendance at the talks was mandatory no i don't remember what they were about it's been 4 years and i wasn't paying #attention. and the one hike around the lake i got to go on. 0/10 i loved it but wouldn't recommend it to anyone. somehow my dad has had the #audacity to suggest going back up there to the same campsite several times and is surprised that i refuse to ever do that again. #that said there was absolutely a net positive and that's that i think i owe things falling apart between me and my groomer to that trip #bc it was the longest period of time i had spent not talking to them since meeting them and i was for the most part not thinking of them an #was focusing in where our interests differed. and genuinely i think it was a turning point for talking to them feeling like a chore and #not basing my schedule entirely around theirs so like . maybe i have rose colored glasses towards this trip nowadays #romeo.txt

like yes. justice league and other teams are full of aliens, cyborgs, magic users, fish people, etc, but:

nightwing can bend his completely human body like its laffy taffy

red hood got stabbed and was barely phased in the midst of battle

red robin has been awake longer than any league-er has even attempted and seems fine, along with solving and completely so many cases some heroes think he has a meta human brain

robin has been found completely still for incredible lengths of time and knows things about league members that no one told him until he casually mentions it in conversation

black bat can appear so silently in a room that even those with heightened senses dont notice until they turn around and jump at her standing right in front of them

batman is BATMAN

and its like yeah these teams are glad that gotham vigilantes are there to help but also they are side eye-ing each other because gotham vigilantes are complete and utter freaks in the most HUMAN way to the rest of the superheroes

So I know Lisa Frankenstein is about more than the romance, there’s so much to be said about Lisa’s relationships with those around her and how she was treated and how that parallels how wider society treats women, young women in particular. But the fact that the Creature loved her completely, to the point of searching for her when he “came back to life”, killing those who harmed her, using the body parts of those same people to please her, and always listening to her even though he couldn’t speak (even when it hurt him) just hits me in all the right places. The people who were supposed to love and cherish her didn’t (Taffy loved her of course) yet he did. Idk guys, seeing a girl being loved for all that she is after almost everyone else has rejected her for no reason other than she’s different just means so much to me
