Still feeling the after effects of watching #FindingDerek last night. It was so moving to watch @kategarraway ‘s account, of her family’s journey, with her husband Derek Draper’s long term battle in hospital with Covid-19. 💜 I was left in awe of the human spirit, as I was reminded once again, of it’s ability to rise above adversity, with such strength, courage, and resilience, along with all the vulnerability that comes with being human. 💜 It reminded me of a personal challenge we faced as a family a few years back. As painful as it was, I credit that phase for unearthing a strength in me that I never knew I had. 🙏🏼💜 As Helen Keller said, “Although the world is full of suffering, it is also full of the overcoming of it.” Holding the vision of Derek coming home to his family safe and well.
