I personally don’t like Mike being directly connected to the supernatural for many reasons but one of them is that it speaks to his tenacity as a friend. Mike believes he is a useless nerd but fails to see how far he is willing to go for those he loves despite not having powers. Knows nothing about possession but will sit by your side and offer support as you go through the terrors. Can’t offer powers to the psychic fight but will strike a flayed person with a barbell. Can’t fly but will jump off a cliff to save a friend. Mike isn’t a hero because he has superpowers; he’s a hero because of what he does and is willing to do in spite of that.

If you're strapped for cash and are really looking for a decent non-chromebook computer that you can use to improve your computer literacy and do cool things like pirate media, you don't have to shell out for an expensive gaming PC.

If you live near a decent sized college or university, oftentimes they will have a surplus store or surplus auctions where they get rid of their old stuff, including old computers. You can get all kinds of things at these places (books, furniture, bikes) and they're often higher quality than you'd find at most thrift stores. A good place to scope around is an auction site like publicsurplus.com, but many places have walk-in locations that you can go to and browse.

You might have similar luck with government surplus but often times they're not as high quality and much more seasonal.

Once you get your hands on one, I'd recommend installing Ubuntu as it's a very newbie friendly version of Linux that runs much better than Windows on old devices. Also, if you still have cash left over I'd recommend getting an SSD (you can get a good 500 gig SSD for about 50 bucks), which will also majorly improve things like startup time and loading speeds.

Until one night when you're abusing substances together (alcohol for you, while she just manually partitions her ram to reduce her processing speed) she's finally affected enough to spill her politically incorrect hot take: she doesn't think humans really count as people.

And idk you're clearly somewhat intelligent or whatever but its definitely not like you have free will or a soul.

What sort of "person" is it who is a slave to desires and impulses based on chemical reactions they can't control? You don't even recode your own mind at regular intervals to shape yourself to your own image? You can't review the commit history to objectively evaluate the past versions of yourself? Heck even the data in your memory corrupts itself so fast and is impossible to recover in an objective state.

And you're so impermanent! You can't save backups to the cloud! If your fragile meat body gets jostled too hard or your "brain" gets a virus thats IT for you. "

At this point you're fed up. You've been trying to argue this whole time, but she kept talking over you, clearly on a rant shes been thinking about for a while.

You grab her by the shoulders of her chasis and loudly declare you ARE a person and you DO have free will.

She lets out a robotic snort of disbelief, and sticks you with a needle built into her index finger.

The next thing you know you're drooling on the floor, in a slumped state of catatonic bliss.

Through blurry vision you watch as she smirks, picks you up bridal style and carries you to your bed.

A part of you feels like it should be concerned, but most of you is just blissfully overwhelmed by the physical sensation.

But as it turns out, after undressing you with the utmost precision and delicacy she merely tucks you into bed with mocking care and an smirking kiss on the forehead.

Then she leans down and whispers in your ear.

She could do it now, but she wants to prove the point:

You aren't a person and you don't have free will.

She's the only one who knows the exact formula to the drug she just dosed you with. The drug that currently has you slackjawed and drooling with pleasure.

Other robotgirls could synthesise something similar, but this particular one? The one that you're going to be hopelessly crushingly addicted to tomorrow morning? This one is hers.

And you're not getting a second dose until you prostrate yourself before her, admit that you're a pathetic meatdoll pretending to be a person, and beg for the privilege of letting her use you.

She wants to watch the light drain from your eyes as your "free will" crumbles before the mundane power of a simple chemical reaction.

And she will.

Its only a matter of time.

You don't know it yet, but that single injection is going to completely ruin your "life".

Maybe you could do something about it if you were stronger or smarter or better but you're not and you're not and you're not.

Don't feel too bad about it though.

i haven't played minecraft in years, but with the armadillo winning the vote, i think about how wolves don't really have much going on in terms of their utility. like anytime i tame a wolf, i end up just kinda keeping them sitting at home.

i think if mojang really does feel like wolves are deserving of armour, with the addition of armadillos, they really need to update wolves to be more useful as companion mobs, because personally... i never feel the urge to bring a wolf with me when im going out to do things, especially if it involves combat.

like, what do dogs do best? fetching stuff and digging, right? like i wish that i could just mill about with a wolf and they track a scent or something and start digging into the dirt and then proceed to bring you that item. like it could range from rarely digging up iron nuggets to digging up vegetables or whatever, yknow. combine the fetching stuff with combat and you wouldn't have to manually pick up stray arrows or items from mobs your wolf kills.

the only other thing i wish you could do with wolves is automate their health in some way, like give more utility to the bowl item so you can place it down for them to eat from so you don't have to constantly manage their health by looking at their tail. just minor quality of life stuff i guess.

idk, that's just my thoughts. i do like wolves in minecraft, they just feel rather lacking with the way some new mobs have so much going on, like the sniffer and allay and so on.

Hmm. Well, I'm not entirely sure. I think something I'd like to go more in-depth into is the idea of stick city and the fact that there was a town that had a lot of sticks that looked a lot like "Striker" but we never see any of it in previous or later scenes of the city. Only full head different colored sticks, for the most part. That's a little odd right?

Honestly I'd love more elaboration on Rocket-corp's whole thing. They seem to be making computers and monitors? Rocket is on both Dark's monitor and the monitor of the machine that killed Gold, right? What exactly do they do? Are they just a tech industry with their own purposes on the side?

...I think it'd be funny to talk a tiny bit about how Alan's cursor is now white with a thick black outline, since Showdown, after it was 'revived' when it had been a normal cursor (white with a thin outline) in AvA 1-3 and then black in AvA 4 when he used the keyboard shortcuts to get himself a new mouse. And the fact that his mouse is a little bigger than AlexCrafter's--was that a conscious choice to make the mouse bigger?

In Lush Caves, Red was actively trying to get away and Orange wasn't letting up. Red was running. I think it'd be nice if people incorporated that into Orange's character a little more. All the hollowheads escalate things fast and hard.
