It’s funny how we chase around that one thing, the one ultimate goal, even when mostly its not even naturally our own but a product of trends or money-oriented goals and then later in life you see the hollowness in the entirety of the concept of a goal. Like what is it? If you were to lose somebody close to your heart, you wont think of the goal or the materialistic things in life. And that’s probably why it’s stupid to chase those things. And we keep reading that everywhere, in books, in movies, in songs but we only realise when we have to.
Maybe it’s really really important for you to post that Instagram story but when you break your thoughts down to why you want to post it, more often than not, we are ashamed of our answers. Sometimes it’s to impress somebody, sometimes it’s to prove the people who think you’re struggling wrong or the ones who think you’re happy wrong or to see if somebody cares enough to check up on you. It’s really silly if you think about it.
It’s not wrong, it’s not right. It’s just a sad reality of this digital world. Anything done with the intention of inner joy or of lending a hand for help is valid. When you start doing something for the sake of attention, you mould yourself to becoming somebody else i.e you start losing yourself and thats what happens nowadays. The technology makes it easy for people to lose their personality and blindly follow what the internet says. The worst part is you don’t experiment things and see how it feels. You do things already knowing the outcome of it and to see if you feel the same or the opposite way to what somebody on the internet said.

You Can Shoot a Movie on a Phone. Just Don’t Expect It to Be Easy
THE BIGGEST CHALLENGE in making a film with a smartphone? Finding people to help you do it. At least, that's according to Jessica Yu-Li Henwick, who recently made her directorial debut with a short film called Bus Girl. Stick around until the end and you'll see a title card that reads, ”Shot on Xiaomi.”
Henwick, who acts in films like Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery and The Matrix Resurrections, used six Xiaomi Mi 11 smartphones over the course of three days to complete her first shoot as a director. Using a phone as the primary camera in a film isn’t groundbreaking. Henwick joins the likes of Steven Spielberg, Steven Soderbergh, Michel Gondry, and Sean Baker, all directors who have filmed full-length movies, shorts, or even music videos with a phone. But Henwick's effort does highlight how the cameras on these personal devices are getting more and more sophisticated.

"Oh it would have been more satisfying if the humans had invented a technology which defeated the Martians rather than have them killed off by accident just when humanity's impotence in the face of disaster seems to be confirmed". I
To me that's just a fancy way of saying "Yeah but humans could totally handle the Martians and the writer has a duty to reassure the audience of that!"
Sir we cannot even handle climate change and I'm sorry to tell you that it's not entirely due to a lack of technological expertise
#In all fairness maybe we can handle climate change we don't know yet but it's going to take a lot more than a fancy new invention#As for war and genocide and all the other human ills that we can't seem to solve how do you think the atomic bomb worked out#And when I say technology or science I don't just mean in the normal STEM sense#As a history student you end up asking a lot whether your subject is actually beneficial to society or capable of solving anything#Or the political sciences- was the League f Nations or even today's UN a success?#Maybe if we just keep learning and studying we can solve it! Well maybe. But what will humanity look like when we're done?#Anyway I'm getting a bit far from the point of the War of the Worlds but maybe I'm just not enough of a science fiction nut for this convo#Maybe the image of societal collapse impressed itself on me more strongly than any delight over long-winded explanations of alien machines#Maybe it would be different if I'd read the book hoping for a good story about aliens#rather than to read one man's uncomfortable rather pessimistic views on what an alien invasion might tell us about human ity#I am simply asking certain fans to sometimes Dig a Little Deeper#Alright rant really over this time#...maybe#It's just that there are so many potential issues with that book but honestly I can't accept that the ending is one of them#Even the hint at the end that since the Martians proved it possible maybe some day humans might colonise other planets I just !!!!!
