I think it's so cool when there are some villains or opponents that the heroes just never really get to beat in a fair fight without some sort of outside help

It makes their threat feel much more real and give you a "Oh, sh*t!" Feeling whenever they appear on screen.

There's something cool about having a foe that you know you can't just brawn your way out of and will need to think outside of the box in order to overcome.

Late Night Readings

(This is the second time I'm trying my hand at writing interactions between my F/Os and S/Is.) (This one is between Pansy Winters and Thailog, when they both have a night off.) (Thanks to this post for inspiration.)

Thailog, surprisingly, had nothing to do that night, and he knew Pansy had the night off, so he went to find her. He knew where she was, reading in the living room. She was always there. Unless she was annoying him in his office.

He carefully approached her from behind, and put his hands around her eyes.

"Guess who?" He whispered into her ear, causing her to slightly gasp in surprise.

"Oh, well, I'd have to say the most handsome man I've ever known." She coolly replied, as he nuzzled her hair. He let his hands down, draping his arms over her shoulders, causing her to tilt her head up and smile at him.

"What are you reading?" He asked. "Another of your cheesy romance novels?"

"Maybe." She replied. "Why don't you come sit down, my neck's starting to hurt."

"It's a very small chair, how do you expect me to sit with you?" Thailog asked, causing Pansy to wordlessly get up and gesture at the chair. He lightly chuckled at her. "Oh very well." He sat down and she fit herself on his lap. "I am assuming I have permission to read with you, then?"

"Of course." Pansy replied, resettling the book so he could see. "It wouldn't make a lot of sense for me to say no, anyways." She remarked.

"That is true." He chuckled. Pansy leaned back, leaning her head slightly on his shoulder. The two slipped into a calm silence, reading together, until Thailog let out a soft hum.

"Hmm?" Pansy asked. "Am I reading too fast, darling?" She asked, but did not receive an answer. "My love?" She asked, again not getting an answer. "Thailog?" She looked over at him, only to see that he had fallen asleep. "Oh..." She softly chuckled, softly looking at her partner. "My, how peaceful you look. Not frightening at all." She reached over and stroked the side of his face, tucking a bit of his hair behind his ear, before kissing him on the cheek.

"Humh?" He blinked awake, causing Pansy to giggle into her hand.

"I didn't think this book was that boring." She remarked, softly smiling at him. "Why don't we go cuddle in bed?" He smiled at her.

"I like that idea." He remarked.

My fun personal headcanon is that Thailog hates children with an undying passion. Once upon a time he became obsessed with lineage and all that stuff and so when he gets one, he realizes that all a baby really does is cry and drool over itself. He should've just cloned himself or something. He's tries to do the Spartan method of dealing with his offspring and Demona bashes his skull in with vase for even thinking about yeeting the baby out a window. And yeah, Demona hasn't exactly been mother of the year, but she's not about to let the buffoon go full animal kingdom.

Please have super old doodles inspire by old RPs and fanfics. They mostly revolve around Cherry in her Gargoyles role. Originally in a relationship with Preston Vogel (which I greatly enjoyed as we don’t get much character building with him at all, but what we infer through Owen is fascinating) but working at Xanatos Enterprises, Cherry ends up in the middle of a lot of drama and eventually ends up with Owen.

There’s some sketches from RPs where we had another fae OC who was a clone of Puck that was created by Thailog whose name was Ryllis (her human form being named Ben) who also fills in for Owen occasionally but has so much to learn as they are basically a kid.

Also, my favorite OC bby after Cherry’s OG daughter Gladys is her son with Owen, Astrophel, or just Phel for short. Behind him is Trini which deserves her own post, she’s a got a huge backstory.

I had a bad habit of giving Cherry a litter of fan babies which might be why I rarely give her any anymore. This had a bunch of little fanbabies that I honestly don’t remember anymore. But I’ve always adored Phel and want to reinvent him for something.

Having a dumb Gargoyles idea

Imagine some long storyarc involving Thalog being, y’know, Thalog.  Doing evil shit, fucking with people and getting away with it because He’s Thalog, rich and powerful and clever and part of the Illuminati.  And I’m not just talking our usual cast of characters; folks from outside the usual shenanigans are getting drawn in, getting hurt, getting killed.  Maybe some of them are part of the local magical community -- aware of What’s Really Out There, not powerful enough to protect themselves with Thailog decides to fuck with them.  Aware that the Illuminati exist, possibly even picking out that Thailog is one of them.

And all this culminates in Thailog having, let’s say... Matt dead to rights, about to kill him in the middle of a shipping yard where Matt’s been investigating Thailog’s dastardly deeds and trying to thwart his evil plans-

Only for Thailog to be hit by a car out of nowhere.  He gets sent FLYING, and before he can even register that’s happened, the car backs over him at full speed.  Again.  And again.  And Again.  And then the driver -- who up until this point has been more or less a background rando, practically a Vinnie, steps out of the car to stand over Thailog’s broken body and unload a shotgun into his head, then set what’s left on fire.

Cue a denouement where Martin mentions to Matt that the leading cause of death amongst Illuminati members is pissing off someone who gives not one single fuck about how rich, powerful, important, or connected they are. (The second leading cause of death being members playing Dead Men’s Shoes)

... look, I just wanna see Thalog get hit by a car, okay?

Thailog: "Oh Pansy has the most lovely little red dress that she rarely wears due to it being "to fancy" for her normal tastes. Which is a shame, since she looks stunning in it."

Anyways, done with discourse for the night. Here’s something I meant to post when I bought it, it’s that Thailog action figure I was talking about:

He’s a little top-heavy because of the wings, but still amazingly detailed.

It’s a shame the store didn’t have any of the other characters in stock, I would have bought Broadway, Brooklyn or Lex… actually I wonder if there’s a Bronx one, that’d be cute.
