I think it's so cool when there are some villains or opponents that the heroes just never really get to beat in a fair fight without some sort of outside help
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It makes their threat feel much more real and give you a "Oh, sh*t!" Feeling whenever they appear on screen.
There's something cool about having a foe that you know you can't just brawn your way out of and will need to think outside of the box in order to overcome.

I just read your post about Christian Disney animators, and... I never knew. I never knew that anyone in Disney was Christian, or that they were trying to portray Christian values.
I came from a, um... not a good home, very legalistic in some ways, but both my parents call themselves Christians (not my place to judge them, I just pray for them). My mom would point at Disney movies and say, "I'm letting you watch this, but all this magic is Satanic" (she did the same thing with Star Wars). I was convinced that Ariel was nothing but a spoiled brat who abandoned her family to run off with some guy, and my mom would remind me over and over that "Beauty and the Beast was just a story- people don't change."
So I basically grew up believing that Disney is just a bunch of cute fairy tales at best, and Satanic at worst. And this is one of the things that has contributed to my confusion as an adult. I love fantasy and sci-fi, I love video games, but I also feel guilty about loving things with so much magic in them. But at the same time, it occurred to me a few years ago that the world stopped believing in God when they stopped believing in magic. "God is dead" coincided with "love at first sight isn't real."
And then, just... certain things I've been thinking, ideas I get sometimes, things I want to write and draw- I've been afraid to share anything because I thought I was crazy and heretical and leaning towards Satanism. But....
Anyway, thx for your post. I need to rewatch some of the old Disney movies.
My mom taught me some similar things—especially that all “magic” is evil. And that is true: all magic out here in the real world IS evil.
But then she’d turn right around and tell me to read the Chronicles of Narnia and Lord of the Rings, where magic is very prominent. So I was confused and asked her, and eventually she told me—“magic,” as the Bible describes it, is real. It’s just humans playing with demonic, spiritual stuff that they were created not to play with, and it is always bad, in the real world.
But. “Magic” in stories can be whatever the storyteller wants it to be. Magic is obviously, usually, something super-powerful that can change reality. So storytellers in stories like Narnia and LOTR (and in Star Wars!) started using “magic” as a symbol for a higher power, or something good. Because Who is powerful enough to alter reality, and is good? God. Like I said in my post. Basically:
“Magic” when the Bible says it = real sorcery, where humans try to contact or use the “power” of spirits and planets and whatever else they find that seems “supernatural” in the real world. Always evil. God made us to have a perfect relationship with one spirit—and it’s Him. When we step outside of that, it’s like a fish trying to breathe oxygen. It destroys us.
But
“Magic” when a storyteller says it = anything they want it to be. They could be referring to the evil, heretical thing your mom was talking about. They could have spiritualists and heretics in their story, BUT…more often, in popular stories, magic isn’t magic at all. It’s just a superpower, and it’s made-up, and it symbolizes something. The Bible doesn’t say anything against making up superpowers in a story!
Anyway. There’s that. If your mom was anything life my mom, she was trying to teach you something that would protect you. (To brag on my mother, not all moms can be literature teaching geniuses with a gift for growing a critical-thinking muscle in their kids.)
But I will say exactly what I think your mom is wrong about if that’s okay with you. (I totally respect your decision to pray for your family; I’ll join you.)
Anywho. The thing I think your mom and a lot of (not all of) the previous generation of Christian parents get wrong is that there’s not supposed to be any such thing as “that’s just a story.” Stories are meant to point to something true. The Beast changes because he repented from who he used to be, and Belle’s sacrificial love gave him the option to do that. Just like Christ’s sacrificial love is the only thing that can turn us from monsters to princes and princesses.
After all. Reality is a story. It’s made up. God made it up. There was nothing, and then He spoke it into existence. There was a blank slate, and then He made a world, populated it with characters, and ordered the events in it. He wrote in a hero, and that hero saves the day. The bad guys lose, the good guys win. There’s a beginning, a conflict, a darkest hour, a “eucatastrophe,” and now we’re racing toward the conclusion. It’s a happy ending. That’s reality. Reality is a story.
But the previous generation of Christians (some, not all) forgot that God invented storytelling. They let the secular culture tell them that stories are somehow just for entertainment, and therefore, they are almost all wastes of a good Christian’s time. When in actuality, God invented stories. And he made us as creatures that love a good story, love to create good stories. Stories are supposed to use fantastical things to point to truth.
After all, God does that in His own story (reality.) He made rules for His world, like, “humans sink in water,” and “sickness can’t be cured from a touch” and “when a person is dead they can’t come back to life.” And then He intentionally broke those rules. He let something amazing happen—all of Jesus’ miracles—because He knew we would need to believe that Jesus came from, and is, the hero. The storyteller, coming into the story, to save the day.
Just like how, when George Lucas sets up Star Wars, he made certain rules. Yeah, it’s an alien world, but a lot of it has rules like our own reality—if a human jumps, they can only go a few feet in the air. People can’t read minds. But then he breaks those rules with the Jedi—space magic—and the Force.
Christians called what Jesus did “miracles,” and we should have, because that’s what the Bible calls it. But we could just as easily call it “fantasy magic.” It’s something supernatural, and wonderful, and powerful, and it inspires belief in anyone who sees it.
Anyway. Christians should remember that God invented reality as a story to point to this truth: “This is Who God is.” And God used what we would call “magic” in His own story. We’re allowed to do that to. As long as it points to truth.
I’ll just tell you what my mom told me. When you watch a movie or enjoy a story of any kind, ask yourself questions. Ask, “why did I like that? What was the magic in the story? Were humans communicating with demons or spirits to get power or knowledge? Did the story act like that was a good thing to do, or not? If the magic didn’t have anything to do with what the Bible calls magic, then it isn’t the kind of thing the Bible says to stay away from.”
Or feel guilty about. Feel guilty if it’s something God says not to do—don’t feel guilty if it’s not something God says not to do. 🤷‍♀️ In all honesty, the only reason my mom could teach me some of these things is because God taught it to her, in the Bible. And the only reason I believe these things that she taught me is because I read the Bible and He taught it to me, too. Best piece of advice anybody can give is “read the Bible and get to know who God is.” In any scenario.
Thank you for this ask. It was very kind of you to share that personal stuff, and encourage me!

@panthera-tigris-venenata and @tiredflowercrown asked for this so here’s an explanation of my demon hunter au!
the basic idea is, when beast brought together all the fairytale worlds, it didn’t just bring villains back from the dead. it brought back demons that had been previously killed or locked away (many of whom were villains anyway, but the point here is they’re stronger). having so many powerful demons/sorcerers/whatever (chernabog, the horned king, zhan tiri, chatana, and maybe maleficent i haven’t decided which version of her i want to use are the biggest threats, but then there’s the other villains, many of whom are still magic) throws all magic into wack, meaning it’s stronger, wilder, and there’s practically no barrier between the natural world and the otherworlds.
this leads to the creation of the king’s guard, a special order meant to take down the demon lords. initially, many of the more magical kingdoms (avalor, camelot, kumandra, corona, etc.) that are threatened by them ally with beast to trap/kill them. they end up trapping them on the isle, built off neverland. it was meant just for demon lords and their allies, the biggest threats, not the villains that yeah, are magic, or dangerous, but they’re not near gods in power (like, the evil queen is a threat, but still human, so she doesn’t necessarily need to be on the isle, for example, charmington can deal with her just fine). but to make the isle, beast had to trap and kill plenty of innocent people, many of whom were magic, which is a thing i like to call foreshadowing.
after the demon lords are locked up, beast turns on all magic users and creatures. in his mind, all magic is dangerous, and has the potential to be just like the demons they just locked up. and well, locking up the demons didn’t really calm magic or make demons vanish, so really, he’s just finishing the job, right?
all the magic kingdoms that had previously allied with beast split, formed their own alliance known as just the rebellion or the guild. leaders include elena, phoebus, jasmine, ariel, repunzel, raya, and arthur. if their kingdom is highly magical, chances are at least some of their people joined.
they fight, and slowly, beast slowly forces the rebellion to surrender. most of his success comes from having some very fanatical people on his side, mainly: frollo. i wasn’t going to make it a religious persecution type story, but the idea of frollo working for beast but so does phoebus and the dynamics that brings basically wrote itself so here we are.
anyway, most of the rebel kingdoms are forced to surrender with heavy consequences to them, one constant being sending most of their magic users to the isle (many of whom are characters we consider villains anyway for consistency of why they’re there). the only ones that are allowed to stay are those who either hide and escape the hunts, or who join the kings guard, now the only organization allowed to use magic.
when the rebellion is successfully defeated, frollo is sent to the isle to ensure it remains so. many on the isle helped build it, they know best how to take it down. i’m not sure if those on the isle will maintain any contact with those off the isle, but either way there’s still very much so a war happening on the isle.
which is the situation the villains kids are born into. there are three alliances they can be born to: the king’s guard (many human villains like gaston ally with frollo. they were thrown on the isle because if magic users are criminals, what’s to say criminals aren’t magic users?), the demon lords, or the rebellion. many drift to the rebellion eventually.
no matter where the kids are born, they’re brought up for war. the king’s guard trains within themselves, usually parents teaching kids. a few are sent to auradon to train, but never kids of major prisoners, always kids of guards that were stationed there. they send kids into war at 16 at the youngest, legally, but on the isle some kids are sent in even younger (either because they’re prodigies, or because they’re hated, like gil, and their families are hoping they’ll die in action). they hoard any supplies sent to the isle, and they kill indiscriminately. to them, their job won’t be done, and the world won’t be stable again, until everyone the isle is dead. not many kids end up leaving.
most kids born to demon lords are raised to bring an era of darkness to the world, to amass as much power as they can. many of the magical villains who weren’t rebels are allied with them (evil queen, Jafar, etc). they’re isolated, usually, but not always. this how many, like jay, are able to leave (in jay’s case, he wandered into rebel territory and ran into the 40 thieves, who adopted him on the spot). it’s brutal, and most don’t have a choice in what they do. they’re the ones most often killed by their parents. they’re usually some of the most powerful magic uses on the isle, too. many kids from this group escape eventually, and join the rebels.
the rebels are a majority of the isle. not many of them actually fight, but plenty of magic users were sent to the isle unfairly and are under their protection. like the kids in the other groups, they’re raised for war, but it’s much more a community effort than and isolated thing. the schools, dragon hall, serpent prep, and the witch academy are run by their gangs and are very military focused. they send kids into the field at 15, but that’s a recent rule and many of the older kids have been fighting much longer by necessity. the rebels is the alliance many of the canon gangs fall into. those who ran from the other alliances often fight, but only after they’ve proven their allegiance.
there are villains who don’t really fall into any group, like hook, and other never land pirates, who were just vibing before everything happened, or the de vils who just wanted to run a crime empire why are they in the middle of a war now.
in auradon, things are only slightly better. they’re not necessarily in a total war, but the isle if anything made the demon issue worse. the prep is a school meant to train king’s guard knights, and the former rebel kingdoms are forced to send their royal kids there to keep an eye on them and keep the kingdom in line. kids who aren’t royal are allowed to attend, but even they have king’s guards in their family. they start training officially (but many have trained longer at home) at 14 and ends at 18-20. (the reason 16 is the legal fighting age for frollo’s men is because at 16 trainees — squires, as they’re called — begin going on hunts with senior students) the reason they can afford sending people into the field when they’re older is because they have more people, and can afford the wait for more soldiers. the isle doesn’t have that luxury.
magic users are hunted and executed regularly. some are still sent to the isle, but beast finds just killing them is quicker. they focus more on killing witches than demons, or figuring out and ending the source of the issue, believing if they just kill all witches then the world will right itself. therefore, many illegal hunting groups formed, who hunt demons (and often still witches) instead of the organization meant to do that.
so what’s the plot? ben still gets kids off the isle. how? well, his argument is that they’re sent into the field before they’re legally old enough (by auradon standards) and therefore the rebels are committing war crimes and the kids shouldn’t be there. it’s flimsy, and the kids who he chooses to come over are all rebels, but it’s on purpose.
growing up, ben is mentored by phoebus, captain of the kings guard in order to protect the romani (in paris at least) for as long as he can. beast intended it to be a “see what happens when you rebel” type thing, but instead phoebus adopted another son and made sure he knew exactly how horrible his father is.
so ben brings kids over, knowing and hoping they’ll bring their rebellion with them. and also, because of the fighting on the isle, the barrier has been slowly eroding, and many of the remaining rebels in auradon are starting to think that’s the issue.

on one hand, I still don't love the "Crowley is Raphael" idea, because I feel like it's more impactful for him to be an important angel, but like, not on the Highest Levels Of Them, like Ariel (Earth's great Lord in Heywood, a name "both of angel and a demon", association to early pagan religions where children and livestock were sacrificed by immolation, reference to s2e2) or Kokabiel (the angel of Stars, fallen angel, the burning light, teacher of astrology).
I would, however, accept it on one big condition: it's heavily implied he's Raphael, but every time someone tries to address him as such there's a blaring NOISE going off. because Gd said "no" to deadnaming, because Crowley would rather have a name that came out of a nickname that turned into a soft love word, than something that was ASSIGNED to him in Heaven.

The King of Hearts/Rhyme: Fell in war, and was so loved by his wife that he was remembered afterward despite not having a hand in the creation of the Rose Queendom. Was said to be merciful whereas his wife was strict.
The Beloved Heir of Beasts/Simba: Died trying to maintain his Uncle's legacy. Was actually king at the time, but is recalled as the King of Beast's Heir and favorite nephew.
The Forsaken Sisters of the Sea/Ariel's sisters: Six Princesses who paid a great price in order to save their youngest sister from a terrible fate. Urulsa was not the one to make the deal with them, however...
The Storytelling Prince/Aladdin: A prince who had to resort to telling stories within stories until dawn each night in order to save his kingdom from a paranoid bloodthirsty Sultana. Stories say that he had a black lamp that was crucial in his task.
The Wandering Prince/Snow's Prince: A prince who wandered the world looking for his lost love till the end of his days.
The Child of the Underworld/Megera: A girl who risked her own life in order to save her lover. Only to be betrayed by the one she saved. She took to the underworld and made a name for herself as the Lord of the Underworld's right hand.

Hey! So recently found your AU “The next Gen” and I saw that you mention something about Magic babies if I’m not mistaken? Can you give us some input on what exactly they are, I’m imagining they’re well…babies made with magic, but are there any difference between them and well for a lack of a better word regular babies?
Anyways I really enjoy your Au’s have a good day/night!
(@leviathanswingman I am once again tagging in case I miss something or if you want to add in)
Hey Anon!
First off I'm super happy you're enjoying our AU enough to ask about it! It is something I think is fair to say we enjoy brainstorming for!
So, essentially magic babies are another way to conceive and have well... babies (we've decided that demons at the very least can do this). When we say magic babies, I suppose they can also go along the lines of emotion babies, so like similar to how Satan was born. So in short, even in the AU people don't know much about it (hence why Solomon and Asmo had no idea that Lilith was even a possibility). Out of all of the kids (so far) only Solomon and Asmo's kids are magic babies.
But what exactly does this mean?
The differences mainly stem from how they develop. A magic/emotion baby "pregnancy" isn't going to be like a normal one (you ain't gonna find these babies on an ultra sound). They are born from emotion and rely on magic as a huge part of their development from the parental unit they are using to form. During this period they can affect both parents, but especially the one they are using to develop.
Symptoms we have discussed thusfar can include the following:
Nausea stemming from magic use/outside magical influence
Moodiness
Exhaustion
Enhancement of one's sin
Clinginess/Increased attatchement to other parent(s) of child
Seeking out additional comfort from partner and/or surroundings
Additional scents/magic traces that may attract other demons
Aches and Pains (varying in severity)
Occasionally cravings can also occur
Using Solomon and Asmo's relationship as an example, there have been a few times we've tried to hit on this. Asmo clings to Solomon (more than usual), he doesn't like it when Solomon leaves for long periods of time (which also plays into how magic babies are born) and experiences bouts of exhaustion. With Lilith the symtoms were more mild for a multitude of reasons. Asmo was not in a fantastic spot mentally when she was conceived and Solomon did have things to do (wizardy man that he is) and a multitude of other reasons led her to being a bit premature. Now with Ariel symptoms are a bit stronger. We get to see Asmo's lust amplified, in both his sexuality but also via blood lust. He has issues with another demon thinking he uses his charming abilities as well as family members commenting on his perfume, both of which are baby symptoms, not Asmo's doing himself. This also ties in to some of the danger in child rearing in that it is entirely possible that other demons may seek them out to eat them. Magic babies are rare, but they can give a power boost if consumed (especially one born from a demon lord and a powerful sorcerer) (it should be noted that non-magic born babies can also be targeted). With Ariel, Solomon's moods are also more affected. He has a harder time leaving Asmo alone, is (somehow) even more affectionate (somehow) towards his partner, and feeds into and off of whatever emotions Asmo may be emitting.
Once again, there is little known about these types of conceptions even in the Devildom to the point where people know certain conditions must be met, but the rest is a little murkey. Because of this these children are rarely planned and most of the time they are accidents. Even when planned, the best anyone can do is attempt to follow the conditions and hope something works.
In terms of being born... they're just kinda... uh... Athena'ed out? Kind of?
In short, the difference is you can just sex and
BAM!
BABY!
But you also can't just magic and
BAMB!
BABY!
The process is complicated, condeluted, and uncertain and also comes with it's own set of symptoms.
Thank you again for asking! I love talking about Obey Me and the AUs I post about! I'm happy you enjoy the AUs :D
(Seriously, thank you for asking, it means a lot to know people enjoy it!)

Alrighty folks we are at 8.5 hours left of hell bent and BOY HOWDY do I have some thoughts!!
🛑!!Spoilers below!!🛑
BWAHAHAHA I am being so fulfilled and validated!! Im glad it worked out so that this check in is right before they descend into hell and everything
All my mercy and pammie nerd bonding dreams are coming true. Leigh idk what I did to personally deserve this but ty
TRIPPPPP he’s back my golden retriever is back!!! Not doing so hot but he’s had it p good in life so far. Can’t wait to see how he does in literal hell!
Abel turner continues to be the mvp!! Also just realized he’s Christian and Abel is a biblical name…..as in ‘Cain and’. I’m worried and pretending not to think abt it!! Hope he doesn’t have any older siblings!! “Your demonic boyfriend” on the floor. I Gagged. when I heard that. turner stop giving the people what we want idk if we can handle it
I’m deeply concerned about the status of darlingdemon’s physical body?? Is that what’s at black elm or not?? If they’re only bringing his soul back what are they planning on putting it in???
While I am a little overwhelmed by the addition of yet more seemingly unrelated plot intrigue, linus rider has been an absolute blast so far!! The whole time Alex was comparing Ariel and eitan and Len and drug dealers generally to vampires she was on the nose!!! I kinda wonder how eitan is gonna play into the more supernatural plot lines now. Could he be a vampire??
ALSO, odds that Linus is the terrible new Lethe supervisor whose name I can’t remember’s long lost lover??? Any takers?? Speaking of whom, wow! I have never well and truly disliked a character so quickly! I feel like Leigh made him so intentionally dislikeable right off the bat that something is gonna happen later to turn that on its head, idk what yet. It’s never what you see is what you get with miss Bardugo…….
Speaking of dislikeable, anselm’s cool card is revoked for being a creep! Drain him dry Alex!!! Although that whole convo was pretty enjoyable I will admit. I like the juxtaposition of him with darlington, anselm being the sort of jaded realist darlington might have grown into if he weren’t…darlington
Speaking of vampires and dislikeable, huge fan of the scene where Alex tells darlington’s parents to eat shit and die!!! And Alex seeing DTA3’s memories, that was sooooo good. Also COSMO……my funky little guy….what are Bowie cat’s secrets I am dying to know!!! What if he really is David Bowie, and David Bowie was a demon the arlingtons made a deal with way back in the day. (Minus the David Bowie part that is an actual theory)
The part where pammie and Alex fought…… :(. Shit hurted pretty good I must say
Just WHAT is going on with Michelle???? I literally have no ideas do we really think she might be linked to the murders?? Is SHE a demon?? I take back everything I said abt her being meh I am deeply intrigued
Sexy gardener lauren ahahaha. When it was mentioned that the ritual is supposed to have a whole bunch of people all together keeping time on the surface while ppl are going to hell my immediate thought was that they were somehow gonna bring their liquor treat party to the ritual site and blast music. Still think that would be fun but idk if it would make sense. Does feel like some mercy type innovation though, and it would rope Lauren into the plot a lil more
Because I’m a hornball thirstgremlin with repressed anger issues I am DESPERATE for a scene with demon Danny threatening someone who’s been giving alex shit. My top picks are eitan and Linus, anselm is also a candidate. lord imagine demon darlington policing the houses of the veil, that would serve them goddamn right
I’m wondering if we’re going to get any more answers about Alex’s nature any time soon? What tf is a wheelwalker? What was her grandma’s deal? (Cool lady all the memories of her are so compelling) what was her DAD’s deal? Is her mom really that spacey or is there something more to all of her flakiness? I am SO curious!!!! What if her dad was connected to Lethe somehow!!
I’m also enjoying the further intrigue abt lethe’s origins and the gauntlet. Never trust an organization that’s main purpose is to uphold the greater broken institution yall
And still we don’t know wtf is going to be the deal in november!!!!!
See y’all in another four hours ig 👀

Finished watching "so I'm a spider, so what?" And there's definitely time shenanigans going on right? Like I'm not the only one confused about timelines? Like, baby Sophia and adult Sophia and pre-vamp Menosophagus or whatever his name is - Sophia's butler - and that odd clone version of him who is definitely not human are the same people right??? Not to mention, White and MC are probably the same? Could have sworn Shun exclaimed in recognition at one point near the end when White came in to help Sophia. Ngl, when MC got lvl 10 on Taboo skill, I thought Ariel was the older version of MC who had travelled back in time to become Demon Lord and fix things. That was quickly debunked when Ariel popped up and no hesitation attempted to obliterate her.
Other than confusion and theorising over potential time loops and whatnot, it was alright. Got sad our MC wasn't really talking much with her parallel minds towards the end of the series :( I missed their bickering (and rip Body Mind).
But the part i like about Isekai series is the thinking out of the box and grinding levels to become OP 🤣🤣 so I wasn't as appreciative of the plot as I could have been, I just wanted to see more of MC go bonkers on other monsters and level up and think of clever ways to survive. I was so sad she went and killed that earth dragon though. He was glorious.

ARCHANGEL SERIES
Todays blog is on Archangel Ariel A.K.A Uriel the angel of nature & the lion of God
Tumblr media
Ariel (Hebrew: אֲרִיאֵל, romanized: ʾÁrīʾēl) is an angel found primarily in Jewish and Christian mysticism and Apocrypha. The literal meaning is "lion of God". The word Ariel occurs in the Hebrew Bible at Isaiah 29:1, 29:2, What sorrow awaits Ariel, the city of David. Year after year you celebrate your feasts. Yet I will bring disaster upon you and there will be much weeping and sorrow. Ariel means an Altar covered with Blood. and 29:7, where it refers to Jerusalem. The word appears at II Samuel 23:20 and I Chronicles 11:22 as referring to "men of valor" of Moab. It appears at Ezekiel 43:16 as referring to an "altar hearth", and it appears at Ezra 8:16 as the name of a Jewish man. It is also said that Ariel is not a rebel angel.
Tumblr media
According to the German occultist Cornelius Agrippa (1486–1535): "Ariel is the name of an angel, sometimes also of a demon, and of a city, whence called Ariopolis, where the idol is worshipped."
"Ariel" has been called an ancient name for the leontomorphic Gnostic Demiurge (Creator God). Historically, the entity Ariel was often pictured in mysticism as a lion-headed deity with power over the Earth, giving a strong foundation for Ariel's association with the Demiurge. It is possible that the name itself was even adopted from the Demiurge's Zoroastrian counterpart Ahriman (who is likely the predecessor of the Mithraic "Arimanius").[citation needed]
Tumblr media
"Ariel" is sometimes associated with the better known Judeo-Christian Archangel Uriel, as for example some sources claim that the Elizabethan court astrologer John Dee called "Ariel" a "conglomerate of Anael and Uriel," though this is not mentioned where the name Anael appears in the only conversation of Dee with Barnabas Saul.
Tumblr media
In Thomas Heywood, Hierarchy of the Blessed Angels (1635) Ariel is called both a prince who rules the waters and "Earth's great Lord." In several occult writings,[who?] Ariel is mentioned with other elemental titles such as the "3rd archon of the winds," "spirit of air," "angel of the waters of the Earth" and "wielder of fire." In mysticism, especially modern, Ariel is usually depicted as a governing angel with dominion over the Earth, creative forces, the North, elemental spirits, and beasts. Other entries in angelologies to Ariel are found in Jacques Collin de Plancy, Dictionnaire Infernal (1863) and Moïse Schwab Vocabulaire de l'Angélologie (1897)
As with all archangels, Ariel is sometimes depicted in male form; she is, however, more often seen as female. She oversees the protection and healing of animals and plants, as well as the care of the Earth's elements (such as water, wind, and fire). She punishes those who harm God's creation. In some interpretations, Ariel is also a liaison between the human and the elemental world of sprites, faeries, mystical crystals, and other manifestations of magic.
Tumblr media
In art, Ariel is often depicted with a globe representing the Earth, or with elements of nature (such as water, fire, or rocks), to symbolize Ariel's role caring for God's creation on Earth. Ariel appears sometimes in male form and other times in the female form. She is often shown in pale pink or rainbow colors.

Origins of Ariel
In the Bible, Ariel's name is used to refer to the holy city of Jerusalem in Isaiah 29, but the passage itself doesn't refer to Archangel Ariel. The Jewish apocryphal text the Wisdom of Solomon describes Ariel as an angel who punishes demons. The Christian Gnostic text Pistis Sophia also says that Ariel works punishing the wicked. Later texts describe Ariel's role caring for nature, including the "Hierarchy of the Blessed Angels" (published in the 1600s), which calls Ariel "Earth's great lord."

One of the Angelic Virtues
The angels were divided, according to St. Thomas Aquinas and other medieval authorities, into groups sometimes referred to as "choirs." The choirs of angels include the seraphim and cherubim, as well as many other groups. Ariel is part of (or perhaps the leader of) the class of angels called the virtues, who inspire people on Earth to create great art and make great scientific discoveries, encourage them, and deliver miracles from God into people's lives. Here is how one of the medieval theologians called Pseudo-Dionysius the Areopagite described the virtues in his work De Coelesti Hierarchia:
Tumblr media
"The name of the holy Virtues signifies a certain powerful and unshakable virility welling forth into all their Godlike energies; not being weak and feeble for any reception of the divine Illuminations granted to it; mounting upwards in fullness of power to an assimilation with God; never falling away from the Divine Life through its own weakness, but ascending unwaveringly to the superessential Virtue which is the Source of virtue: fashioning itself, as far as it may, in virtue; perfectly turned towards the Source of virtue, and flowing forth providentially to those below it, abundantly filling them with virtue."

How to Request Help From Ariel
Ariel serves as the patron angel of wild animals. Some Christians consider Ariel to be the patron saint of new beginnings.
People sometimes ask for Ariel's help to take good care of the environment and God's creatures (including both wild animals and pets) and to provide healing that they need, according to God's will (Ariel works with the archangel Raphael when healing). Ariel can also help you to forge a stronger connection with the natural or elemental world.
To call upon Ariel, you need only request her guidance for goals that are within her realm. For example, you might ask her "please help me to heal this animal," or "please help me to better understand the beauty of the natural world." You can also burn an archangel candle dedicated to Ariel; such candles are typically pale pink or rainbow colored.

I have heard of your original stories with demons in it. Tell me, what is your version of Stolas exactly like in your stories? I'm a bit curious to know since I like to see another version of Stolas besides than VivziePop's version of one of the Princes of Hell.
It's hard to say, The New Trinity is a recent story whose plot points I didn't fully develop yet, he is not even a main character, I am not sure yet if he should be just a Prince or THE Prince leader of other Princes and Dukes (but not a King) since he has the title Great Prince, and I didn't even draw or design him yet. The phew I established of him however is a cold, serious former Virtue, single and childless, rarely amused and having no sex drive, rarely losing his temper unless Ariel is involved since he always found her being the Archangel of Virtues a title more fitting for him, for to him having taught and spread astronomy and botanic to all civilizations (in my story it's not just Earth but all the civilized lives from all galaxies) is much more honorable than just making plants grow and animals live (Ariel's title being the Lord of Earth), in fight falling from Heaven for rebelling against her seeing it as his chance to kicl her out. It is his pride, his passion, the one topic he has a big ego about ; and even if he does not care much for mortals and what other demons could do to them, he dislikes angels for what he sees as an unfair treatment and "bootlickers of the privileged order who can't see real talent" and thus is as hostile as the other more dangerous and evil demons towards the protagonists, he appears not a lot of times but if I am to make him the Archdemon of Princes Eurynome (one of the main antagonists) would sometimes anxiously tell him about the situation (the plot) or be asked about it and he would reply him coldly/pragmatically to fix things and stop making a fool of their caste by losing to 3 mere archangels, and if instead I opt for making him just a Prince therefore Eurynome's equal I can see him as being quieter and more regal than the others just sipping from Eurynome's tea while he would complain to him and others. He does not care for mortals, being very logical and only caeing about teaching and being praised for it, and if they disappear he could always teach demons or teach new mortals if lives are created again (for after all, all planets end up dying after some billions of years, what is the difference if they dir before or after ? Others would come), but speaking of which his softer side comes out whenever he teaches young demons. He becomes paternal and patient, calmly explaining and and amused by innocent or eager remarks. Really, botanic and astronomy may be the source of his pride that lead him to fall, it also is ironically what brings out his best (past angelic) side
...welp it was more than I thought

Aurelio Chavez - I like this picture more for Aurelio, it’s more playful
Markus Reana (Re-Ana) - I have had Markus forever but it’s taken a while to finally find someone that can fit the image in my head for them. Markus is non-binary, pansexual though tends to prefer men, they do have a soft spot for a couple of women in their lives. An independent film maker and cinephile, Markus is very out, very proud and really doesn’t care who knows it. They are friends with Dylan Connor and Maxwell Stevens, and by extension, Skylar Valois.
Morpheus (King of Dreams, Dream, Nightmare Lord, etc) - Morpheus has been down a roller coaster through much of his existence and there’s a lot to try to catch up on and remember but the short story is that he had been held prisoner in his own mind by a curse put on him during the Ethereal Coup which happened several millenia ago. He was transformed into a demon, altering his appearance and locked out of his own memories of who he really was and what his purpose was. Before the coup, he had been walking the waking world as a man, in love the granddaughter of the Queen of Egypt. Their love was not meant to be, when she fell for someone else and ultimately led to her death, though in his jealousy and pain, he wasn’t the one that caused it. Morpheus would later find the same soul again, several times over and took express interest in protecting it and attempting to guide it, since it is the essence of the woman he had loved. When the demon is purged from him finally, and he is back to himself again, he regains control over the Realm of Dreams and lends his aid to the Oracles once more. He ultimately finds a way to connect himself to the soul he’d lost so long ago, in the form of one of her daughters who walks his realm as freely as she does the waking one, creating dreams and nightmares of her own before he ever takes any kind of wing over her.
((A note about the picture, I did not make all of it, the original is here:

watermark and all :D. I loved this design so decided to alter it a little for the character))
I have one more character/picture to make but I need to find some other pictures for it so I can get the right look. In the meantime though, this is Gage Robards, otherwise known as Gabriel Toussaint, the “lost” brother to the Toussaint girls.
Tumblr media
He has been in and out of mental facilities since he was about 12 and in one of them had his vocal cords damaged, though I am not exactly sure if it was from having them scorched away or because he had his trachea crushed during an altercation with one of the orderlies. Either way, Gage cannot speak and either uses sign language or he used to have a notebook he’d write down what he needed/wanted and gave it to people when he needed help. Now that he’s in a better living situation, he has an app on his phone that speaks for him.
Gage isn’t special needs and really has no actual mental problem, he was locked away after seeing something he wasn’t supposed to and when he threatened to go to the police about it, he was silenced. His sisters may or may not even remember his existence, though from what he knows they were told he had a mental breakdown and tried to hurt their mother or father...one of them and for that was sent somewhere ‘safer’ to live out his days.
This would have been all find and dandy if the person paying the bill in the home he was living in had continued to do so. For one reason or another, Gage was uprooted out of the mental hospital he had been living in, in New York and left somewhat out on his own. He had known Noah Walker before, as they were in the same home, and ended up going to where Noah was. Gage’s only real health concern is epilepsy, but otherwise he’s pretty healthy all things considered. He wants to try to get in touch with his sisters again.
Gage can usually be found outside under the tree in Sylvia’s home writing, though he barely lets anyone actually read any of it. Ariel managed to get it from him once, though he sat with her while she read it. From what she says, it’s a very forlorn love story with some ghostly elements in it (I keep thinking something along the lines of Crimson Peak)
