I love that women like Jane Austen and Elizabeth Gaskell were out there in 1810 or 1855 unapologetically creating shippable couples and excruciating tension and swoonworthy moments in the most delicious slow-burn love stories. Like they were obviously drawing on their own desires to be able to hit the spot, to know what women want, and were writing to afford themselves and others a vicarious experience of love in a society that was probably pretty devoid of it. And here I am 200 years later, also a wistful romantic woman who needs escapism, still in agreement about what love should look like, and their otp is now my otp.

one thing that was such a gift from 2023 was the whole reclamation of "girlhood." i loved that. like, women openly embracing their inner teenage girl and doing things that paid homages to that. being like unapologetically vulnerable and uncensored in their anger, their hurt, and their sad. women taking more pictures and being so intentional with making memories with their friends and creating camaraderie around the girl experience. women putting ribbons in their hair, putting on more blush, unapologetically following trends... i loved seeing girls girl harder than literally anything i've ever seen. it was honestly really inspiring and beautiful and i hope to see more of that in 2024

12 years with my girls

wow how has it been 12 years?!? they have gone through the happiest, saddest, most special and world changing times together as sisters. not friends. SISTERS. THEY’RE FAMILY. they’ve made history. released tonnes of amazing bangers. and just became a huge impact on everyone out there and i wish they know that.

i know, i haven’t been a fan for the whole time, sadly, (wish i was) but time is just a number doesn’t matter how long i’ve been a mixer they will always mean the world to me. they ARE ME. my personality trait. everyone knows me for being the biggest mixer, literally.

i’ve been lucky enough to see them live twice and once was a dream come true but TWICE?? i’m so grateful that i could do that. (that’s not me bragging about it, ik people are unable to for reasons). but they are such a whole other LEVEL seeing them on stage in front of you. and i can’t wait to get them back on there doing their things.

they have helped me so much. i listen to them doing work, cleaning my pig sty of a room, cooking and practically anything else. there’s posters of them on my wall, i’ve collected quite a few of their calendars, all their CDs (one version of each, can’t afford to get each and every one) and have a few pieces of their merch as well. i made this account to basically talk, post and fangirl over THEM. yes i am i obsessed with them. but wouldn’t change it for the world.
