a/n; okay so this isn’t this preview I posted about (still working on it but I keep getting other ideas for more pieces) I wanted to give you something to keep you on your toes. I tagged as many (tumblr has a limit, sry) from my last Ben teases as a thank you for being supportive, even when I’m all over the place. y’all are amazing ✨

You sat in the back of Rooney’s, about a block away from work with your best friend, Ben. Talking over drinks while waiting for your food to be prepared.

Venting about the three days of work you’ve endured, “I swear, if Elizabeth places another assignment on my desk. My face is going to be on the news.” You harped, taking a sip of your soda pop.

Ben chuckled at you, flashing his pearly whites behind his plump smirk. “Says the girl who can barely kill a spider.” You stuck your tongue at the stunning blonde fellow sitting across you in the booth.

“I can be a tough gal when I want to be!” Defending yourself, “Sure.” He winked at you, rolling your eyes to his words. “Just wait till 11pm, I’ll prove you wrong, alright.”

Ben nodded his head, reassuringly with sarcasm spread across his face as he reached for his phone next to him on the table, passing some time.

You and Ben have been known each other for about three years now. The both of you met during a gallery opening for a mutual friend of yours. Since then you were inseparable, especially when your schedules were obliging. Whenever Ben was back from filming movies, you were around each other. Lunches together, were hanging out, texting non-stop and even being each other’s date to any event either of you had. You went to each other for everything, talked about everything to anything. You were pretty lucky, who knew a comment on a photograph would give you, your best friend.

Still waiting on your food to be brought out, you noticed Ben was up to something as well. His plump pink lips, curling upwards as his tongue poked a bit, grazing against his top lip, making it glisten.

“And what are we smiling about Benjamin?” You broke his distraction, his green eyes meeting yours as you wiggled your eyebrows, tauntingly.

Ben’s cheeks turned a shade a red, rolling his eyes before they found yours again. “Cecilia.”

Cecilia? A new girl? You thought first.

What about Annie?

Since you’ve known Ben, he’s had a little track record for being a loose cannon. When you met, he had gotten out of a long term relationship and hasn’t had a proper girlfriend since.

In a way you were kinda okay with that, because selfishly, you were hoping it would be you.

You have a weak smile, “Ah, she sounds pretty.” Trying to keep the conversation going, hoping he wasn’t noticing the knot twisting in your stomach by the look on your face.

From the beginning, you always had feelings for Ben. You thought you were going to start dating by the way things were. That was until he opened up about his last relations and his want to stay single for a while. You respected that and that’s how the friendship came more into view.

Of course, you became too close for comfort, many would say. You had no problems with cuddles, staying each other’s beds after late nights of drinking or binge watching movies and shows. At first it was just friendly, how you guys worked. Shortly when you noticed your feelings weren’t so platonic, you didnt say anything about them, you didn’t put an end to the currents. You kept the little perks going because it made Ben feel like more than a friend.

Ben went on about Cecilia, how they met, what she looked like as he flashed his phone at you. She was pretty, just like you said about her name. All common talk and you took it as the good friend you are, listening to him gush.

“She’s really nice,” looking down at his phone, locking it up. “We have a date on Saturday night, it’s our first.”

That’s when you weren’t okay with it anymore. That same knot pulled to its limits within you. Ben and you were supposed to go out on Saturday night. He was going to be your date.

Caught up in your thoughts, your feelings, you didn’t realize the blonde fellow was still talking to you. “Y/N?” He called, looking at you weary.

“Hm?” You hummed.

“You alright, love?” Ugh, he was only making it worse. Slowly you nodded, “Yeah, um. Go on?”

He was still peering at you, strangely. “Any advice?”

He was asking you advice on his date? He never did this before, ever. What was going on? You felt overwhelmed.

Shrugging, “Just be yourself.” not sure what else to say except what you should’ve told him from the beginning. You looked down at your phone, a clear screen but it was quickest get away.

“I’ve gotta go. Elizabeth needs me.” You announced, standing up from the booth. Ben squinted his eyebrows to you, “is everything alright? Our food hasn’t come yet.” Sincerely worried by you.

You shook your head, grabbing your coat, fumbling through your purse for a few dollars. “Lunch is on me, I’m sorry, Ben.” Placing the bills on the table before you shimmied out of the booth. Without a goodbye.

“I’ll text you.” You heard Ben yell as you reached the door and on to work you went.

It’s been a week since Ben has heard from you. He’d text you, in the beginning he would get one worded replies to then nothing. He called you, going straight to voicemail. He drove by your apartment and no answer. Your work wasn’t much help either, saying you in meetings and such like you told them to do. He was really worried about you.

Ben sat on his sofa with a beer on the coffee table and a controller in hand as Joe and him played FIFA.

“So a week?” Joe questioned, his eyes still on the tv. “That’s really unusual of y/n.”

Ben nodded, leaning to grab a sip of his beverage, “I don’t know what happened. I last seen her for lunch and she left abrupt because of work”

Joe knew you the same amount of time Ben did since Ben introduced you two. Unlike Ben, Joe was quite aware of your crush on Ben. He had found out at a party way back when, the stares you gave Ben were a dead giveaway. He wasn’t going to let you live it down until you told him that Ben didn’t know and this was “something you needed to work out on your own.” You quoted to him.

He paused the game, “Alright?” Ben raised a brow, looking at his red headed friend for explanations.

“Let’s figure this out.” Joe said, clearing his throat after a swig of his beer. “What happened during lunch?”

Ben sat up straight now, his hands meeting in the openness of his lap. Trying to think back to the last Wednesday he seen you.

“Ehm, we talked about her job. Elizabeth was putting a lot on her plate.” He began, Joe listened carefully. He knew that wasn’t a culprit. “Go on.”

Ben closed his eyes for a second, “oh” he spoke, “I talked about an upcoming date with Cecilia.”

Joe smiled, toothlessly. “Bingo.”

Ben looked at him, confused. “What do you mean “bingo”?” Joe then placed his hand on his friends shoulder.

“It’s not for me to explain. But I know that’s a reason why she left in a hurry.” He explained, “She and I quote, has something to tell you that she needs to tell you herself. Go try and see if she’s home again.”

After the confusing conversation with Joe, Ben jumped into his car and headed to your apartment. Still trying to figure out what you had to explain, it was eating at him but he wasn’t going to let this go. He needed to know what was going on.

You were cooped up in living room, snuggled in a plush throw, eating popcorn and watching a marathon of the office by yourself when you heard a banging at your door.

Spooked, you muted your tv and rised from the sofa. Slowly making your way to the door and picking up a vase.

“Y/N, open up!” It was Ben, “I know you’re in there.”

You sighed to yourself, placing the vase back where it was before heading to the door and unlocking it.

The blonde, dressed in grey joggers and hoodie that match with slippers. Stood on your front step, staring at you with his green eyes almost glowing from the little light hanging above outside.

“Hi?” You greeted, not knowing how to exactly redeem your week absence. Ben’s brows raised, like he was surprised to even hear you speak, let alone answer the door in the first place.

“Can I come in?” Asking, you looked at the ground before you nodded. Backing up with the door in front of you as he let himself in.

You closed the door after he had entered, following him to the living room. It was quiet for the most part, watching Ben looking over the screen of the tv and the current state of your living room as you were cozied up for a night in.

“Do you want something to-”

“An explanation, yes.” He commanded, then. Looking right at you now, you folded your arms in front of your chest. Closing your open sweater, tighter to you.

“There’s nothing to explain? I’ve been busy, I guess.”

Ben didn’t by it for a minute, looking at you dumbfounded, briefly. Knowing you well enough to know you were lying. “Bull shit.”

Your eyes shot up at him from his words, Ben had a potty mouth but nothing ever directed towards you. “What’s going on? Everyone seems to know more than I do.”

Raising your brow, “What do you mean?” You asked, trying to figure out what was going on compared to what you thought he was here for.”

“Joe told me you had something to say to me that needed to come from you.” Your mouth dropped, you were going to kill Joe the next time you seen him.

Immediately you pushed back your hair, stressed out by being put on the spot. “So what’s going on?” He repeated.

You bit your lip, looking down at your feet before looking up at him again, his green eyes searching every inch of you for answers through your silence. Sighing, you rolled your eyes.

“I was mad.” You began, folding your arms across your chest again, standing at the end of your couch as Ben stood almost in front of you, near the coffee table. His brows furrowed, “Why?”

“Because of your date. I didn’t want it to happen. You were supposed to hang out with me that day.” Feeling the brim of your eyes becoming moistened. Ben still had a confused look on his face, “Is that it?” His deep raspy voice asking.

You looked to the ground between you, shaking your head. “No,”

“I was more upset because it wasn’t me.” You admitted, “I wasn’t Cecilia. I wasn’t the ‘date’ you were gushing over. I’ve been pissed at every date you have,” you felt tears steaming your cheeks now, looking up at him.

“But I’ve been so in love with you, that I’ve allowed it to just hang over. Then you asked me for advice and you never do that. I knew this girl was going to be something for you if you were going all that length to impress her.”

Your hand met your mouth now, feeling the wetness of your face from crying as you spoke. Feeling relieved, scared, in disbelief that all of those words hit the air finally.

Ben didn’t say anything, he didn’t know what to say because he wasn’t sure how to explain that he’s been waiting to hear you say that all this time. He was just as in love with you, maybe even more than you could imagine. He wanted nothing more than those girls to be you, some of them were just dinner dates because his feelings were too unbearable to want to be with anyone else. So unbearable that he called off the date with Cecilia moments after you walked out of the restaurant.

You stared at Ben gazing right back at you. You thought your heart was going to explode by the minutes passing in silence. You couldn’t tell what he he was thinking right now but it was eating you alive.

“Please say something.” You muttered, still searching him. You watched as his face straightened, shaking his head. “No”

You felt your heart drop to your feet. “No?” You questioned, he gripped his bottom lip between his teeth.

“No.” He said again, getting closer to you as your eyes never left his. “Because I rather do this.”

Before you could register what he meant, Ben wrapped his hands around your face and crashed his lips upon yours. You didn’t kiss back right away, but when one hand slipped to the middle of your back. Your lips moved in sync of his, feeling warm, soft against yours. Reaching up with your hand to his neck and fingers wrapping themselves in his golden locks as your lips swell under his. Completely lost in your sense, trying to realize this wasn’t a dream you were experiencing.

Ben pulled away, still close as you felt his breath featherlight as your lips as you caught air. “You alright?”

You nodded, your hands still in his hair as you looked in his eyes, still feeling like a dream.

“As long as you keep doing that. I will be.” Ben dropped his head slightly, chuckling at your breathless words, meeting your eyes again. Before his lips met yours once again.

thoughts on t*sp

look. at first i told myself that i wasn’t gonna watch this show, and then the very next day it got leaked so i was like “you know what? im gonna watch it anyway!” and thats the worst decision that ive ever made in my life because this show was... bad. could it have been worse? definitely, given the fact that it was an emma frost show based on a philippa gregory book. but this was still terrible enough for me to type this post up, so here we go!

i can guarantee you that you’ll have a more fun time reading this post than you will watching TSP. this is under a read more because.. whew.. theres a lot.

THE CASTING

first and foremost: the actress playing KOA cannot act. she’s really pretty, granted, but her acting was genuinely terrible. like.. i cringed almost every time there was a scene terrible. not only was her spanish accent bad but she felt so.. stiff, i guess would be a good word, whenever she said something. and that didn’t do anything to help the fact that she has a bad case of ScarJo Fever�� (if you don’t know what that is: it’s when an actor/actress only makes the same three facial expressions) people need to stop hiring actresses and actors just because they’re attractive and actually make sure that they can act. at this point, i am Begging!

the actor playing harry was actually good though, at least in my opinion. he did his best with what he was given and i really admire that! you can tell that he was putting a lot of effort into it, even though the way that they wrote him was really out of character for that period of his life (see: this post)

h7′s actor was good in the scenes that he was in, but the way that they treated h7 was so.. weird? they didn’t make him as creepy as i thought that they were going to when i first found out they were making an adaptation of TCP, but there was still this lowkey creepy vibe that he had going on.. i honestly dont know how to explain it, but it was there. also he slapped the shit out of harry in a scene??? that was messy as HELL

the actress for margaret beaufort was good, but there were some scenes that just had me like.. oh? on god? (most notably the death scene, but i’ll get into that hot mess later) you could tell that she was trying hard, even if they made MB’s character arc terrible.

the actors that played lina and her love interest were amazing, though. they worked with what they had and i really liked what they did with them even though the writing was shit. the scene with their wedding was adorable and really well acted!

angus imrie (arthur) was good, too! but the wig that they gave him? atrocious. i’m going to see it in my nightmares. georgie henley was really good in the scenes that we saw her in as meg tudor, but most of the scenes she was in weren’t that good and that’s wack :’)

i don’t know the name of the actress that played juana of castile in the episode she was in, but i liked her acting, too.. even though the writing for her was kind of cringy.

before i end this section i should let it be known that i was more attached to juana, meg and arthur in the few episodes they were in than i was to KOA during the entire show. it’s so tragic like. how are you going to cast a lead actress that cant act?? Hello???

before i get into the issues with the writing and creative direction i have with the show, i just wanna say: the pacing of the show was terrible and really, really difficult to follow. the entirety of the second episode, which followed from their KOA/arthur marriage to arthur’s death, probably had the worst pacing. it felt like only a few weeks had passed in the show’s time, when it was supposed to be what? six months? and there was so indication of a timeskip between episode 6 and episode 7, even though juana was still in england at the end of episode 6 and h7 died about 10 minutes into episode 7? it’s so tragic.

okay, moving on!

THE CREATIVE DIRECTION

look. i get that it’s a show and of course there’s going to be historical license but... GOD this show went above and beyond.

there’s so much i want to say here, but the most important one that i have an issue with is the shit that they did with lina’s character. erasing the fact that she was a slave owned by ferdinand and isabella and then later given to KOA was absolutely terrible. and then not only did they do that AND make her KOA’s most loyal lady-in-waiting, but they erased the fact that she was forced to convert to christianity, forced to stop using her birth name and instead having to use the name of her new owner in the name of #StrongFemaleFriendships. disgusting!

EF: lina is KOA’s most faithful servant and they have a strong female friendship!! hashtag woke!! hashtag feminism!! my black ass:

honestly it gets even worse because KOA and lina’s “central female friendship” was barely even there. lina had more scenes with rosa, one of KOA’s other ladies-in-waiting, than she did with KOA. not to mention that KOA was manipulative to lina and kept saying stuff like “you owe me service” or stuff along those lines? it was so shitty. lina sweetie im so sorry that this ugly ass bitch would even try you

the next big thing that i had a problem with was the fact that they aged up harry, when in reality he was about 11 years old when KOA first came to england. like, i can’t really go that much into it because even thinking about the fact that they aged him up to make him Arthur’s Hotter, All-Around-Better Brother™ when he was fucking 11 makes me kinda sick but. ughh it was terrible.

not to mention the fact that they villainized margaret beaufort because of course they did. apparently you cant be a middle aged woman without being villainized?? especially not in an emma frost show. but the way that they villainized her was so ugly. and the fact that they attributed shit like edmund dudley’s execution to her when it happened an entire year after she died? Hello????

the way that she just took over and declared herself regent when h7 was in mourning for elizabeth of york and kicked KOA out of the palace + the way she tried to threaten margaret pole & lina into revealing that KOA wasn’t a virgin.. shgkhhgsfhgkshjbjsjb that shit was so fucking messy its like they tried to make her a fusion of mother gothel from tangled and ursula from the little mermaid

the way that they made EoY dislike KOA was so weird? and the way that both her and margaret beaufort assaulted her by kissing and groping her respectively was weird and definitely uncalled for.

this is a minor one in the gist of some of the other things but why did they make EoY’s last daughter a stillborn child? someone correct me if i’m wrong, but didn’t she live for about a week before she died? but then again, i remember that she named their daughter after KOA, so they probably did that to avoid the fact because they made EoY hate her. messy

arthur’s wig counts as a creative decision right? well whoever gave him that wig needs to be fired. PERIOD

THE WRITING

i guess that writing can go into the creative direction category as well, but there were so many problems with the writing that it deserves its own category

KOA was so terrible in this. between her manipulating harry and lina, and the fact that she kept defending the fact that isabella abused juana because “our mother was a queen, a warrior” was ugly! “tO bE qUeEn oF eNgLaNd iS mY dEsTiNy” girl if you don’t shut ya mouth catching these hands is gonna be your destiny

they also made KOA put all of her faith in the fact that she was related to queens? like, every time juana said she couldn’t do something because her husband + ferdinand are assholes, or every time isabella was brought up she kept being like “but you’re/she’s a queen!” it was irritating

all of the predictions about the great matter/KOA not being able to give harry a son were weird. i would have been fine if it had only been like.. one time, because sometimes foreshadowing can be good, but it was brought up every 5 seconds and at the most random times. like when EoY was literally dying in childbirth?? Hello????? god are you there??

AND THE FACT THAT EOY STRAIGHT UP WENT TO HELL AND SAW HER BROTHER GETTING EXECUTED THEN CAME BACK. HELLO??

then when margaret beaufort was about to die and she saw ghosts? and jasper tudor showed up to take her to hell i guess? honestly i didnt know what the fuck was going on but that shit was so fucking messy and wild. i have to laugh

also: i mentioned this earlier but all of those scenes where harry was ranting and raging.. EF really saw the name “henry viii” and floored it with that huh

they also dumbed harry down imho.. Wack!

juana seducing harry was a hot ass mess in its own right, but honestly? juana and harry had more chemistry in that one minute scene than KOA and harry had in the entire show

we were not even 10 minutes into the pilot and they were already trying to portray isabella as a #WokeFeministQueen. how, you might ask? why, by showing her leading a group of men to kill black muslims for their faith, of course! didn’t you know that being racist and islamophobic is hip and feminist when you’re a queen?

like i get that its from KOA’s point of view but in the opening monologue of the pilot they mentioned that isabella overthrew the moors like it was a #Feminist thing to do and not a part of her orchestrating massacres and contributing to genocide? @ EF: on GOD??

tbh? shocked that KKKristopher KKKolonizer wasn’t mentioned in a positive light based on how much they tried to glorify isabella. like what catholic monarchs stan was allowed to work on this show with EF and P. Gregory?? hello????

i’m totally fine with the whole plot point about katherine lying about her virginity, since we’ll probably never know the truth about whether or not she and arthur consummated their marriage, but it was poorly executed in both the writing and in CH’s acting. i could tell that she was lying and so did.. almost everyone, really.

the scene where they were about to.. i guess lynch lina’s love interest for “stealing” made me really uncomfortable. i dont even know how to explain it

h7′s death scene.... this is all i have to say about it

margaret beaufort ordering the execution of edmund dudley was shitty for a lot of reasons but honestly him screaming “fuck you all to hell” was hilarious

the ending scene of episode 7 where they were in the chapel and henry asked KOA if she was still a virgin was bad writing and CH’s acting made it even worse. cant even lie convincingly smh

margaret pole’s plotline was so confusing.. i barely knew wtf was going on with her the entire show? it all felt so rushed and forced. it was weird

EoY and h7 had some cute scenes together though. and that was like.. one of the shows only real redeeming qualities

that’s about it for this post about TSP! my overall rating for it is a 0.5/10. it was super shitty, but i liked arthur, juana and meg tudor so it gets a 0.5 instead of a plain 0. and apparently theres one episode left too.. DREADING it. anyways: emma frost absolutely failed in her goal to be like “its not all about anne boleyn!” because if anything this show made me think about how claire foy and natalie dormer were both robbed of awards so.. if reading this post gave you hives? go watch wolf hall or the tudors for their great performances!

Good evening, everyone~! Our final Thursday Book Club is officially beginning! Today we are discussing Maiden of the Machine by Caitlin Like~! (https://maidenmachine.com/)

Remember that Thursday discussions are completely freeform! However, every 30 minutes I will drop in OPTIONAL discussion questions in case you’d like a bit of a prompt. If you miss out on one of these prompts, you can find them pinned for the chat’s duration. Additionally, remember that while constructive criticism is allowed, our focus is fun and respectfully appreciating the comic. All that said, let’s begin!

QUESTION 1. What is your favorite scene in the comic so far and why?

i think my favorite scene so far is when elizabeth and victor decide to sleep together. part in for its serious drama. theres so many questions about victor created from just the visuals, and then theres the stakes at hand of elizabeth's reputation. but then, there is also a good balance of comic relief to a degree since victor told her to ask no questions and she asks the one question that he probably didnt see coming. all around it was a pretty satisfactor culmination of their relationship so far at a juncture that felt natural.

another scene i really enjoyed was the ball scene where victor and eric are having a chat about elizabeth and then elizabeth and victor have a passionate liason. im mostly a fan cause of the dramatic convo. cause theres a deep and terrible sense that both characters truly know what their risking, what the situation is, and how they still are into each other. plus, its all very tense cause it just takes one person being in the wrong place at the wrong time to blow their cover.

honestly i think itd be accurate to say all my favorite scenes are with elizabeth and victor. romance is one of those genres i can struggle with, because theres always something missing. but oh man do i love the romance in this comic. there is nothing more i want than to see then elizabeth and victor finding a way to be together in spite society trying to kick that down at every turn.

i will give a special shout out to the scene where eric, abhaya, milo, and the cousin are meeting to discuss the affairs of the estate. i just like it because it basically shows all the characters' worst sides. abhaya is brash and reckless, milo is just kind of there, and eric is a greedy mofo. and whats worse is literally none of them thought to bring elizabeth. they may have their excuses of protecting her...but part of me still thinks thats a super dick move and shows even abhaya just kind of views elizabeth more as a pawn than a person. but all in all, nothing like money and estates to show off everyone's worst traits. it is very true to life, and i can respect that.

another non-victor/elizabeth scene i respect is the scene where elizabeth is out dress shopping and eric is like here i got you these dresses. just cause i knew eric was kind of a creep, but ho boy, he dialed the creep up to number 11 on a 10 meter scale. but at the same time, i think that really helped to erase all sympathy i might have had for him. thus paving the way for me to not really feel guilty on elizabeth's behalf for her trespasses against him.

i also like scenes with west in them. cause I like that between all the people around Victor, West seems the most honest in a scoundrel sort of way. Which that is basically what I like about him in every scene. He causes trouble and pushes the limits, but at the same time hes always at least pretty upfront about his intentions.

The bit I liked most of what I read I think was back in the first chapter, when Elizabeth makes the callback to when she got out of the ropes at the very start of the story. It was a nice subtle detail which I found very clever.

I'm not at your bits yet but I can see how the Elizabeth/Victor thing is being set up. Also there seems to be some question of whether Abhaya likes him... or possibly other ladies? I may be reading my own interests into that.

QUESTION 2. A large focus of the comic is on Elizabeth and Victor’s relationship. At the end of the day, do you think the two will find a way to be together? If so, how will they get over the scandal Elizabeth would face and the fact those around Victor want him to marry a titled woman? If you don’t believe they’ll find a way to stay together, what will stop them? Further, given the most recent events, how will Eric Wollstonecraft play a role in the future of their love story? How does the narration framing seen where Elizabeth is addressing her potential son affect your opinion? How do you think that future came about, and how soon will it come to pass? Last, what do you think of their relationship in terms of Elizabeth wanting to make her own choices in life?

yeah i have to say if theres one thing i appreciate its combination of progressive themes while at the same time acknowledging that the period was not the friendliest towards these things

especially in regards to how elizabeth is treated since her only purpose apparently to everyone is to get hitched to a titled guy

and i mean

thats depressing

yet also true to the period

even though we get to see elizabeth take a journey and reject those social conventions

in regards to the current question, i am choosing not to think about whether in the long term elizabeth and victor will get together for the rest of their lives. because if they dont i will cry but i could see this realistically being the case given the tone of the narration. cause that...does not sound like an elizabeth who lives in eternal happiness.

Back, sorry. Yeah, I'm usually not much of one for period pieces, but I like the narrative viewpoint. Also, pretty neat airships.

There was the point where she talked about leaving Victor behind back in Chapter 1 (I don't recall the exact circumstances) but I wondered if it was because he causes her heartache, or just because it make their lives more complicated.

Incidentally, the first thing I thought of with the name "Lovelace" was Lady Ada Lovelace. The mathematician. Not sure if that was an intentional reference to another well regarded woman.

i would not be surprised if the name choice was purposeful. if only because the comic has lots of strong ladies. i doubt well see any real historical figures though.

i appreciate that the comic actually kind of starts off with the airship escapade

That's a good point. Helps with the world building before we get down into some of the classic period issues.

yes. and i also kind of like it starts off more action-y. not that there isnt action bits later mind you. but more i think it helps set up the main conflict while tying in the romance. because it makes it so the romance isnt some forced subplot. rather its kind of integral and has as much to do with the whole highjacking as the rest of the story. since later on youll see that elizabeth's proximity to victor keeps bring that part of the story into the limelight

That's a good point, in terms of tying things together. Also possibly sets up a key antagonist (or at least revenge plot) in that burned pirate lady.

Well, yes. But Elizabeth also seems to be taking risks where Victor is concerned. Or at least stepping out of her comfort zone.

Certain people have certain effects on us I guess.

nah thats true. I just think Elizabeth just takes more social risks. Like not the kind that are gonna get her arrested, but more the kind that are gonna get her socially shunned.

That seems like a valid viewpoint. It fits with their personalities when we saw them in their youth.

The cutting back and forth between the two sisters in Chapter 3 is well done.

yeah in general i like the PoV switching of the comic. because every scene is pretty well-chosen and advances the plot in some manner. and it lets us see others parts of the comic developing. cause later on you do get to see more of victor without elizabeth some and get to go "hmm" to all that hes up to.

QUESTION 3. Besides romance, there is a larger plot posing real and deadly danger to the characters. Who do you think the Angel is? What are the Angel’s goals, and why is she excessively targeting Victor? Further, what do you think the source of her power is? Also, what does have kidnapping people like Ambrose have to do with her goals? Alternatively, is Ambrose there of his own free will (and if so, why)? Considering Abhaya is being sought by Amabel for help, what do you think Abhaya will do? Will Abhaya be able to uncover more of the truth, or is Abhaya just going to get herself into more trouble? How will Abhaya’s involvement affect Elizabeth and herself? Last, can Amabel be trusted, or is it possible she’ll abandon Abhaya when Abhaya might need her?

Related to those questions, I do wonder a bit if Victor has a sordid past or something. Like maybe his empire wasn't entirely built on the up-and-up... with his knowledge or possibly without it. So there could be a reason there for him to be targeted.

I've looked on the character page and I approve this ship.

oh yeah. Victor is 100% definitely a scoundrel. There is one scenes that really hints at this, but even before that i agree with you. Victor is not on the up and up entirely. I don't think he made his fortune without cracking a few skulls.

im sure he knew the repercussions. the people around him are more about keeping him in the dark about romantic matters. cause as was implied by one of the questions later on you find out the main thing ppl arent telling victor is that elizabeth is just there to open him up to the idea of marriage so he can marry a titled lady

In regards to the current question while you're away, I think Abhaya will help Amabel and get herself caught and get into a whole mess of trouble that for once, Elizabeth will have to break her out of. But I think it'll be a dual sword cause I do think Elizabeth's relationship to both Abhaya and Victor is gonna put her in the crosshairs. cause like, what an easy way to get Victor to show up. Get Elizabeth, tell Victor you'll never see her again if you don't show up.

as for the angel's goals, I feel shes on a path of vengence against the entire world, but particularly victor cause hes high up there in the industrialist chain

and knows something she doesnt and that she needs to bring her plans to fruition

QUESTION 4. Mixed in with the present drama is a lot of unsolved past drama. Who do you think Victor really is? What do you think happened to Victor based on Milo’s story that he was telling Abhaya? How do you think Victor managed to overcome this to become the person he is today? Also, what do you make of the room Victor seemed to have sealed off in his house? Besides Victor, there is also a lot of drama between Jules, Abhaya, and Milo. What do you think happened between the three of them that managed to damage their relationship forever? Will spending more time together heal their wounds, or is it impossible at this point? Further, what was Jules up to the whole time he was away with Victor? Last, what do you think Jules’ goals were for introducing Elizabeth and Victor, and why does he seem immensely conflicted about her presence?

I think Victor was some fellow servant kid who was Jules' only friend after Jules got sent away. And then Victor almost died. Although I'm changing my previous speculations. Maybe the Angel is more literal and she literally showed up, saved Victor with tech with the promise to return, and then left. So now shes back for her comeuppance. Meanwhile, Victor decided technology was great and he needed to bring it to the world cause it was what would keep him alive and save others.

as for the three, at this juncture it seems pretty heavily implied Milo and Jules were in a relationship and that Milo called off the wedding to Abhaya cause he didnt want to live a lie in regards to how he felt about Jules. Regardless of the what, while Milo i feel will legitimately forgive and forget, I dont feel Abhaya or Jules will. Abhaya cause she doesnt seem the type to ever forgive ever. And to just hold onto her hatred and seethe. Jules in the meantime I think wont forgive until he gets revenge in some way. Cause the two probably betrayed his trust big time and he kind of got the most screwed over by what happened

i think Jules wanted them to meet for the exact reason that the others implied: they want Victor to warm up to the idea of women so he can get married. However, I feel Jules now feels like a jerk who is taking out his anger at Abhaya on Elizabeth who had 0% to do with what happened between the three. and yet he knows hes in too deep to turn back now.

I wondered about Milo and Jules. My initial thought had been that Abhaya had called off the engagement though, so that's an interesting other look at things.

Jules and Elizabeth were close too, back in the day. One wonders if he's that good at seeing how things play out long term.

nah its definitely his company. but victor was probably poor. if only cause everyone calls him new money. so it means he has no predecessor parent who made their fortune.

That makes sense and could explain the sympathy for West too, maybe he knows West even though it doesn't necessarily go both ways.

Yeah, Jules seems to think he's got everything well in hand but he doesn't seem to account for the human factor.

Made it to the end of Chapter 4/Act 1 now. Apparently the Angel kidnaps people to literally graft wings onto her spine. Ouch.

Interesting callback to Victor's wounded leg though.

Maybe that thing that Victor has in the factory is a time machine. Turns out he's actually from the future, he brought back all the technology and that's why the Angel is after him, she thinks it's stolen.

i really love the clothes. i mean theyre simple, and yet all seem to fit within the period that this comic is trying to go for

also about the art, i really love the steampunk designs. you can definitely tell the steampunk inspiration in them, yet theyre really unique and not really like any steampunk ive seen before

20 into 2 doesn’t go

Well our stuff is the same. It doesn’t go into the cases. However much I pack, repack, swear, squash it, roll it, scream and then sit sobbing, it refuses to fit.

It’s been one of those days. Not complaining but just realising that everyday cannot be a holiday. Said sad goodbye to St. Francis Port this morning (Sat 8th). We liked it so much more than Jeffrey’s Bay which was where we were originally going to stay . 40 years ago the opposite would have been true. Whizzed down to Port Elizabeth where I totally redeemed myself by getting us straight to the apartment block. No U turns, no going wrong, no nothing. My self esteem is high. Never felt better. Went for a walk on the beach, watched a wedding and had lunch as we couldn’t get into the place until 14.00. Get to apartment gate at 13.50 .At 14.01 Nick says ‘She’s late’ she being the elderly mother of the owner who actually lives in London. At 14.15 his face looks rather red - anger or sunburn who knows?. At 14.20 I realise I cannot contact the owner as I need WIFI. At 14.21 I hate Airbnb. At 14.22 I tell myself to get a grip after all it could be worse it could be raining. At 14.25 it starts to rain. At 14.30 just as we are about to drive off and find somewhere with WiFi we see a small elderly lady shuffling towards the gate. She apologised for her tardiness and says her daughter has only just told her we are coming. She shows us the apartment and then says she has early onset Alzheimer’s and got muddled about the time. I felt bad because at the height of my wrath I had muttered something about old woman/dementia blah blah.

Anyway there’s a washing machine ( no iron as it blew up earlier apparently) so things are looking up. We’ll be clean if creased.

We’ve booked a meal as we thought Saturday night was bound to be busy and we didnt want to go into the city (4.2kms away). It’s 10 mins down the road we were told. 40 mins later we arrive red faced ( again) and slightly sweaty as we feel nervous walking the streets esp as we’ve been round the block 3 times. We didn’t take the phone or camera but we have been told so often how dangerous it is to walk at night that just seeing a group of Africans walking towards us increases the heart rate. This isn’t us being racist at least I don’t think it is. It’s not meant to be. It’s fear.

The restaurant is called Ginger. Nick thinks we should get a 10% discount because of my colouring. No no no please don’t , I say to myself. Nicks jokes aren’t always an instant hit. Usually the recipient smiles and nods because they haven’t a clue then when they ‘get it’ they scream with laughter and give Nick a big hug and great smile. I just want to eat.

Zen’s Dog: Jun the Siberian Husky

He was hungry for love... hungry for being wanted... hungry for someone to run up to him and welcome him home.... but also... someone to be there for him as a friend.....who looks up to him.... THAT IS WHY HE GOT A DOG. Dogs are loyal, love you unconditionally, will welcome you home, will look up to you, THEY ARE A MANS/WOMENS BEST FRIEND COME ON. He went to a breeder, and found this dog who was being ignored by everyone else. All of its brother and sisters were playing without him and when hew white dog tried to play with them, they growled at him and he walked away. THE FEELS WERE HIT OKAY. ZEN WAS GETTING THOSE FLASHBACKS AND HE RAN TO THE DOG AND HUGGED HIM SAYING THAT HE WILL BE HIS NEW FATHER. He took the puppy home and educated himself on how to take care of a husky.

Look, Zen becomes the way Jumin is with Elizabeth the 3rd. Zen practices his lines with the dog. He got a little care seat on his motorcycle so the dog can go with him to his special place. You do not fuck with his dog. The dog is like an exact replica of Zen. White fur with Red eyes making all the other dogs want to be him or want to be with him. The dog is really there for Zen in a emotional level. They both know how it is to be ignored and not loved. Okay TBH, Jun rarely gets dog food, he gets meat, chicken, ham, all that good stuff. Zen makes sure he runs the the fat off so he doesn't get sick D: He makes sure the dog takes frequent ice baths c: He loves to go to the park and play catch with his doggie. They cant be there for long because of fans wanting to take pictures. BEST BELIEVE THIS DOG IS THERE POSING FOR THE PHOTO

Yoosung’s Dog: Rin the Corgi

Yoosung was tired of feeling lonely all the time and he decided to do something about it. He decided to join a new club at campus and he decided to join the CORGI APPRECIATION SQAUD club. He always wanted to be apart of a squad so he was an active member c: He started to find appreciation to the breed and decided to get one of his own c: The club gave him directions to this adoption center and thats where he met his best friend RIN THE CORGI :,D Rin was Yoosungs hype dog! Yoosung bought LOL shirts for her and everything. He loVES PLAYING WITH HER TINY LITTLE LEGS!!! HE LIKS TO FLICK IT AND SING TO HER WHILE HE RUBS HER BELLY. SHE BRINGS HIM HAPPINESS. LIKE HE BUYS PAJAMAS FOR HER AND EVERYTHING. REASON TO LIVE. REASON TO DO GOOD IN SCHOOL. SHE IS JUST A GOOD GIRL. LOVES TO HUG. SHE TRIPS SOMETIMES BUT ITS OKAY. YOOSUNG PICKS HER UP AND TAPS HER BUT A BIT.

BONUS

HE TOOK HER A SHOWER. HE FILLED HIS TUB HALF WAY. PLOPPED HER IN WITH GOGGLES AND EVERYTHING. HER BUTT FUCKING FLOATED. HE LEGIT CRIED CAUSE IT WAS TOO CUTE.

Saeran’s Dog: Ciel the Doberman

Saeran actually met Ciel in the worst way possible. Ciel was Saerans personal guardian angel.

When Rika manipulated Saeran to join Mint Eye, he wasn't “conditioned” yet. He didnt know what Rika meant by that but 2 months later he was locked in the basement with little food and water. Men wearing white robes and black masks came in the basement and hosed down Saeran leaving him soaked and wet. They have him eat special food 3 times a day and thats all he gets. He doesn't have clothes or a blanket. He just has a mattress and a pillow. He couldn't believe Saeyoung would trade his freedom for his brother. Rika finally was convincing him that Saeyoung left him to die and that he must be cleansed by the lord. “The enemy is the RFA. The stole my happiness away from me. My main target is my own flesh and blood Saeyoung Choi. Mission? To Kill Him.” That was all he was thinking about when he was holding himself in the night trying to spread warmth throughout his body. Later in the night, he heard rapid footsteps around the basement. He thought it was a rat but he rubbed his eyes to try and see better. His vision cleared a bit and he saw a white puppy hiding behind one of the boxes holding bread in its mouth. The puppy looked at Saeran and ran into one of the empty boxes. Saeran went closer to the pups territory and kneeled down extending its hand so the puppy can know Saeran means no harm. The puppy trusted him and from that day on, the dog shared its stolen meal with Saeran and cuddled with him in the night so they both can stay warm.

However one afternoon, the puppy was hiding in its box waiting for nightfall to sneak out and grab food. The puppies nap was rudely interrupted when Rika and her followers barged into the basement to beat up Saeran because they accused him of stealing food. The three masked men were punching and kicking him leaving Saeran defenseless. The puppy didn't think twice leaving his hidden box and went to attack the men. The puppy was biting their legs as if they were pieces of meat protecting his friend. Rika saw what was happening and was about to attack the puppy till Saeran interfered and protected his friend. Saeran finally decided to fully join her and her cult if they let him and his friend live like decent beings. Rika agreed knowing the medicine was now taking affect. She gave them a room and Chef to feed them and everything. From that day on, they were eachs other ride or die.

Jihyun/V’s Dog: Angel the Australian Shepard

Angel traveled around the world with V. She is a very loyal and friendly dog. The only problem V had with Angel is that for an odd reason, she hated Rika. Whenever Rika walked into the room, Angel growled and walked away. When Rika tried to cuddle with V, Angel jumped on the couch and sat on his lap demanding attention. Rika hated Angel and Angel hated her. She tried to convince V to get rid of Angel because her excuse was it was “damaging the relationship”. He told her no that he rather lose her than Angel. Angel barked and slept with V while Rika was planning on a thing called Mint Eye. Rika told V about her idea and Angel went and laid on top of V and growled at her. A sun can always disappear but an Angel will always be there.

MC’s Dog: Shin the Dalmatian

This dog is legit the worse dog guard ever. Zen convinced MC to get a dog to make sure she is safe and protected. She told Zen she already had a dog and that her name was Shin and that she was your pride and joy. The whole RFA felt better knowing you had a dog there ready to protect its master from any harms way.

V saw the messages and began to freak out thinking the dog could possibly smell the bomb so he just never logged back in LMAO IM SORRY HE HAS IMPORTANT SHIT TO DO

However, MC didnt tell them that Shin is the most friendliest dog ever. She plays with everyone and loves to play little jokes. MC usually smiled because Shin had the same personality as the person who gave MC the adorable Dalmatian, MC’s grandfather c: Whenever she had to make phone calls or answer emails for the party, Shin was mostly annoyed because she wasn't getting any attention

BONUS

When MC heard her window shattered she was frighten seeing a white haired man in her home. She knew that was Unknown but before she could say anything, Shin jumped ontop of the man knocking him to the floor. Shin was wagging her tail with a ball in her mouth. Unknown did not expect that reaction.

EXTRA BONUS

Unknown started to play fetch with Shin and joined them for dinner eating spaghetti with them.

Seven’s Dog: Chip the Shibu Inou

He was inspired to get this dog because he saw a meme on social media about Doge and he wanted one so bad. Screw Elly, if she didnt want or need his love, he was going to give it to someone who needs it. He decided to go to a shelter hoping he can find famous meme breed and after 8 different shelters, he couldn't find the meme breed D: He was beginning to lose hope but he decided to try one more shelter. When he entered the shelter, he saw a 7 month year old Shibu Inu and he screeched like a little girl. He ran towards their cage and was beginning to baby talk to it. He paid for the papers and everything. He didnt prepare to have a animal in its home, so he fed it honey buddah chips. When the dog stuck his face inside the bag it got stuck and Seven began laughing. He removed the bag from the puppies face and noticed there was a chip on it heads. He decided to call his perfect companion Chip :) Short for Honey Buddha Chips :) The thing he loves the most is named after his love :,D

Seven decided to wear a Shibu Inu costume and slept on the floor with Chip so Chip wouldn't feel lonely :,) After a couple of days later, he brought chip to sleep with him in his bed because the floor was getting uncomfortable. When Chip started to sleep with Seven, Sevens nightmare started to fade away. The guilt he carried inside his head and heart was being cured by chip, but it didnt mean his episodes stopped. One night Seven was having episodes when he was coding because he thought he saw a code saying “Saeran” in binary and he totally lost it. He fell to the ground crying grabbing his own hair. Chip grabbed a potato and ran to Seven giving the potato to him. He then went on his lap and cuddle him giving of “I'm here, everything will be okay vibes” :)

Jumin’s Dog: King Charles the German Shepard

Jumin only thought about getting a dog because he was getting tired of Saeyoung trying to sneak into his pent house and grab Elizabeth 3rd.

He knew Saeyoung could get past the guards and fuck up the security system easily, so he decided to tell Assistant Kang to look for breeder that has the highest qualifications to breed guard dogs. He finally got the information from Assistant Kang and personally went with Elizabeth 3rd to find the perfect dog to protect Elizabeth. Of course Elizabeth must come along to help him find the perfect dog that is suitable for her taste. He had Elizabeth the 3rd in his arms with security guards around him because he was paranoid a dog might react aggressively seeing a precious feline.

He entered the training camp and noticed how obedient the dogs where, but they already belong to the trainers. The breeder took him to the 1-2 year old dogs who matured enough to be obedient. He walked in the special area and there was this black German Shepard that has been eyeing Jumin and Elizabeth from far away. Jumin didnt notice because he was noticing how Elizabeth the 3rd was feeling a bit nervous. Jumin didnt notice that there was an untrained angry dog on the lose and it was heading towards Elizabeth the 3rd. Elizabeth knew she was in danger and jumped out of her fathers arm and ran for it, she put Forest Gump to shame, she was having her own kitty Vietnam flashbacks. Jumin notice the angry dog about to attack Elizabeth till a black German Shepard who've been observing the whole situation decided to attack the other dog and defend Elizabeth. The two dogs were fighting till the owner of the untrained dog got a hold of the rude dog and took him back to his cage for training. Jumin ran quickly to the fierce black German Shepard and notice it had a bite mark around its neck. He noticed Elizabeth 3rd climb onto the back of the dog and licked the battle wound and Jumin fell in love with the dog. He bought the dog right away and he was preparing paperwork to sue the trainer for almost hurting his precious feline. He welcomed King Charles with open arms because it saved his heart, his everything, Elizabeth 3rd.

BONUS

Jumin left a camera in the penthouse and camped out in his car to see if King Charles can do his job

1 hour later Seven sneaked in and right when he made it pass the kitchen, King Charles attacked Seven by barking and chasing him off the penthouse.

Jumin trained him to not the hurt the RFA but to scare them LMAO

when he noticed everything on the camera, he bought King Charles a diamond collar.

Jaehee’s Dog: Mocha the Beagle

This precious little Beagle is Jaehees best friend. She is always waiting for Jaehee to come home from a long day of being Jumins slave. She picked up Mocha while she kicked off her shoes and threw her fake as glasses on the couch. She gave Mocha a quick kiss on her adorable forehead and gently flicked her long soft ears. UGH MOCHAS EARS.

Jaehee then went to kitchen and placed Mocha on the chair and began talking to Mocha about her day while making coffee. People may not believe her when she tells them, but Mocha actually responds back by giving different variations of a bark. If she disagrees with something, mostly what Jumin makes her do, Mocha gives a mad bark with a little growl. If she agrees, she barks happily with a little pant.

Jaehee just smiles at her canine thanking the moment she first met Mocha.

*flashback*

It was a heavy rainstorm that on particular night and Mr. Han offered to take Jaehee to her apartment because she took a cab to work. She politely agreed and hold and umbrella over Mr. Hans head so he wouldn't get wet.

Her whole left shoulder was soaking wet but she had to do it for her boss. They were halfway there to the limo but she heard a faint cry. She stopped and Mr. Han got a bit week and looked annoyed. He was tugging her to continue walking but she didnt. She kept looking for the noise and saw a box with a little head poking outside of it. She dragged Mr. Han to the car and pushed him inside and ran back to help the helpless creature. She almost lost her job but she knows Jumin cant find no one better than her. :)

HYBRID AU PART TWO!

alright so I’m gonna do a time skip beings it will mainly be the same as what happens in the deep story and like i dont wanna write that plus my brain is more fried than disgusting American food (i myself am American i just find american food to be disgusting lmao.) so yeah ill go in depth though.

warning it gets angsty

Mc lies in the bed unsure how to feel after these last couple of days. these people have all been so nice but was that just because she hasn't told them what she truly is? The only one that knows about what seven and Mc are would be jumin but if to normal humans they don’t like that. Mc has considered that maybe they would be accepting of her because they are accepting of jumin but when she truly thought about it she remembers that time she witnessed a public demonstration of what humans to to hybrids. it was a raven-human hybrid and it was a young boy. he looked no older than eight.he had been trying to get food for his sick mother when one of his friends scared him and he revealed his wings. screams sounded. some were in anger others fear. there was a mix of emotions. you would think that being shunned as a young child was punishment enough but no. humans hated hybrids, specifically raven-human hybrids, with a passion. they grabbed this boy and snapped his wings. he let out a cry of agony and fear and it broke Mc’s heart she went to go save the boy when jumin came out of no where and stopped her. he had explained to her quietly, away from the crowd, that she cant give away her identity no matter how unfair it seems. she didn't say anything and saw them do worse things to this boy resulting in his death and jumin comforted mc as she cried and brought her back to his penthouse. he called seven up telling him that the humans found a young raven and mc witnessed what they do to ravens. seven thought about risking work to help mc and decided to go after a long period of hesitation. jumin had given mc some wine and allowed her to spend time with Elizabeth the third.by the time seven had gotten there mc was just starring at nothing. she was in shock. she had just witnessed an innocent boy get violently killed because of who he is. what if he never killed anyone. mc knew the boys soul mate was killed somewhere else. this was planned. the friend that scared the boy was never his friend. he was trying to kill his friend. he knew. mc felt anger rising and it became harder and harder to hide her identity. seven recognized this and went over to her taking the wine away just in case.

“mc you have to talk about it the feelings will fester and you will have an outburst in public and end up like that bo-”

“what if that’s better! what if that’s better than hiding! and anyways they wont kill me! i have no soul mate,” that last part was chilling. it was obvious that she’d given up.

“mc you cant say that!you have to stay hidden and alive dont let them take you!”

“they are hurting him because I’m gone...” seven stops in his tracks knowing who she is talking about. ‘ he told me to leave because my father was gonna keep trying to kill me and he knows how now. maybe sae- he knows this and is staying far away from me so i don’t have to die...hes been torturing him a lot. every time i feel it. if i go back if i let him have me he will stop hurting hi-”

“stop.”

“what?”

“stop saying these things! the minute you give up and go back you are failing him! the minute you give up you are letting him die. if you give up on him i will never forgive you and make the rest of your life hell,” seven says very seriously and mc looks down and sighs shakily.

“they-they knew about the boy and had already harmed his soulmate but beings he couldn't see it means they killed the mate. this means it was not a hybrid because the bond can happen with anyone but humans granting the raven an immortal life until the human dies. we are not safe that boy was from the apartment. i am in danger leading the rest of the rfa to danger maybe the party is a bad idea,” mc said hanging her head low tears stinging her eyes replaying what happened to that boy in her head.

“I understand your worry but you are safe no need to cancel,” mc didn't feel like arguing on the matter.

days later zen had invited her to meet secretly because he wanted to talk to her about some things. he gives her a location and she accepts. the location is a secluded spot in the mountains. when she arrives he wraps her in a giant hug. all the stress and sadness she had been holding back released and she cried into his shoulder. he whispers that he knows all about what happened and that he will always be there for her. she was shocked that a human was so kind to her especially when he knew what she is they just hugged for a long time. he knew he didnt have a chance with her but he hoped desperatly that he did. he was fine with being her closest friend at least. she developed hiccups from the sudden release of emotions. they had many meetups where they both vented and hung out. it really helped mc cope. they became very close friends after this. ouch friend zoned.

when she met jaehee it was over coffee when another hybrid riot went down and she saw mcs extreme discomfort having flashbacks and shaking uncontrollably. jaehee put two and two together. she had heard a lot about mc in passing when jumin had meetings with seven about it. jaehee knew the true danger mc was in and was very against the party but didnt argue or she would lose her job.she gives mc earbuds and plays soothing music and sounds helping mc to calm down. jaehee tried to set up an mp3 player with soothing sounds, music, and mediation tracks. she wanted to help mc get better beings she couldn't exactly get professional help due to her species. that would get mc in loads of trouble. mc is very thankful to have jaehees friendship and realizes not all humans are evil.

when mc met yoosung it was by accident. she had been grocery shopping and spotted the blonde in the pet isle looking at dog stuff. she walks up to him and taps his shoulder.

“hi there you look like my friend yoosung could you by any chance be him?” when he turns around surprised you smile. he is such a puppy sometimes. mc thinks back to when seven said he is not sure if yoosung is normal, it gets gears turning in her head. could he be like abbie? is he a dog-human hybrid? after talking a while you realize he is not hybrid but he came from a hybrid family so dog toys are an odd form of comfort. he gets really embarrassed to admit this. he continues telling mc that his mother got offered to got to this hybrid organization that helps save hybrids. he tells mc that a man named Eros invited his mother and rika was there to support him. it was only this year his mother decided to join. mc begins to panic at the name Eros which worries yoosung alot. he asks her many questions to figure it out but mc tells him its nothing and he believes it.

now Mc lies in the bed wearing the shirt Saeran gave her and cries. these days have been stressful. she cries trying to calm down by using Jaehee’s music. she was about to vent to zen when she noticed her window rattling and a shadow. there is a large shadow and she practically collapses when she sees the face of who just crashed in her window.

Weird dreams that have actually come true.

So the first one I had was when I was at an all girls sleepover camp. One night I had a dream about going through a museum with both my moms, my brother, my cousin Elizabeth and her family. We were walking through this area that had the song “ring around the roses” playing over the speakers. I turned to my cousin and said “you know, ring around the rosey a pocket full of posies?” But in the dream I didn’t say it like in the song, there was no tune when I spoke it. So I wake up the next morning and my bunk mates said I was talking in my sleep and that I said outloud “you know, ring around the roses a pocket full of posies?” A few months later, there I was walking through a museum with my family and my cousins family and I spoke those exact words to my cousin. We were walking through a section about the black death.

Another time it was my cousin (same cousin) Elizabeth’s confirmation (Catholic school shit). The night before I had a horrible dream that my mother, brother and I got into a bad accident that involved something going wrong with our car while driving to see my cousin. The next morning I woke up in a panic and was crying hysterically. I told my mom what happened and she said “no Joanna it’s fine were going down you don’t have to come with us if you don’t want to.” My mom was getting ready to leave with my brother and I got dressed really fast and packed a cooler full of ice and water and drinks (it was horribly hot out and my mother has breathing problems so I made sure to bring things that would help her keep cool. She didn’t do too well in My dream). We got into the car and drove off. Everything was going fine and I thought, you know it’s just a dream it’s fine. I was fucking wrong. The power steering went in the car. My brother was driving and he was terrified because we were in the middle of the highway. My mom helped him pull the steering wheel to get the car onto an off ramp and my brother couldn’t get the brakes to work. We had no brakes to stop. He pulled the emergency brake and we stopped under a bridge on a 101 degree day. My mom was already having trouble breathing, so I got my stupid cooler out full of ice packs and drinks and put them all over her. We didn’t know where we were so my brother yelled at a man across the street and the man was about to cross when he got hit by a car. I don’t really remember much after this. My brother tells me I hopped out of the car and ran, dodging on coming traffic to get to the guy. I remember kneeling down next to him trying to keep him conscious just until the paramedics came. I told him stories to keep him awake. The emts came and I told them he has a severe concussion and that he was hit at the hip area. I don’t know who he was. My mom, Kathy, came to get us, and just as we were maybe 15 minutes from home the tire popped on that car but we managed to get to a friendly’s where I got my mom, Beth, inside to cool off. Kathy and Ben were outside changing the tire. We got home after that. Both my moms never said anything to me about my dream until later on. I mentioned it on day and my mom, Beth, said I should have listened.

Recently like not even a month ago I had a dream about an ex of mine. He started seeing this girl he has known for a while and from what I knew they were very happy together. I had a dream they were pregnant. About a week later my boyfriend tells me “hey you have to promise not to say anything to anyone, J and his girl are pregnant. You can’t tell anyone, they haven’t been seeing each other that long” I lost my shit. I told him all about my dream and how I knew that she was pregnant. My boyfriend doesn’t believe in that kind of stuff. He just thought it was funny.

This one is a dream. But I’m fucking terrified of it. I have a long history of suicidal tendencies along with ptsd, bipolar, depression, anxiety, racing thoughts, intrusive thoughts, you name it. Keep that in mind.

I woke up and I was crying out loud. I had tears coming down my face and I was sopping wet from sweating. In the dream I was walking. This wasn’t new England foliage it was more Southern. Like Georgia area and kind of swampy I guess. Lots of weeping willows and roots coming up from the ground. It was kind of humid but not really just a touch. The sun wasn’t really hitting the forest floor but it was day time. It peaked here and there. I had shorts and some shirt on and some shoes. I was really sad or upset about something. I didn’t know what but I felt like my life was over and I needed to walk it off. Well I fell, which isn’t new I’m fairly clumsy. I felt even worse when I fell and my mind drifted to thinking about “well what if I just end it all here?” But I shoved off the feeling because I still had so much to do with my life. I got back up dusted off and kept walking but something was wrong. Everything felt off. The light was a bit too bright, the ground seemed to smooth. I turned around and saw myself on the ground. My wrists were cut open and I was passed out. I started screaming, I started to freak the fuck out. I started yelling “NO NOT LIKE THIS. I DIDNT MEAN TO DO THAT. THAT WASNT SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN NO NO NO. PLEASE NO THIS ISNT SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN” Idk if I was pulled or pushed back into my body but woosh I was back in myself. And I realized I need help fast. I crawled back the way I came hoping someone would be there. I was screaming the whole time. I got to a cul-de-sac and there was a school bus pulling up to pick up a little girl. He had dark hair and tan skin, pink shirt Jean shorts and white sneakers. No backpack though. I screamed. I screamed so loud and the bus went around the circle again and then stopped and the driver got out and rushed to me. I kept screaming “don’t tell Jay. Please don’t tell Jay. I didn’t mean to do this! This isn’t what I wanted! I didn’t want to do this! I didn’t please! I’m so sorry!”

The next day Jay told me about how he would like to live down south some day. I said no way in hell. I told him the dream. He just worries about me now.

I cannot tell the future. These happen at random. I hate these dreams. I hate having dreams that come true. They aren’t something I wait in anticipation for. They are not fun in any way shape or form. They are all true.

We were introduced at 15 years old through a mutual friend, at the time I was dating a different person. It was the summer time I remember because you told me I looked good in my shorts I was wearing. You me and the mutual friend started walking around the neighborhood.. our friend was saying how she’s going to miss you because you’re not going to be at the same high school as us. I said oh why not you explained to me you were kicked out from all the referrals you had. I was just thinking oh my gosh he’s one of those. (At the time I was completly innocent, i just had my first kiss that following school year with a boy named Joe.) We ended up stopping at the park, he pulled out his phone and I thought he was so cool because he had a side kick. Our friend ended up snatching it from him and ran away with it.. we were all messing around with it throwing it, I ended up dropping it I felt so bad I kept apologizing when I bent down to get it you were there getting it as well. Your face ended up near my lap I got scared and I pushed you off me. Our friend got weird and told me it was time to go. So we left.. as we left I looked back and waved, you waved and smiled. I went home that night with our friend.. I ended up sneaking your number out of her phone to make sure i had it. That following week you were locked up. So I continued dating that guy till I was 16 and that’s when you got out, put on house arrest. My boyfriend who I was with at the time lived in New York so I never got to see him. One day walking home you were on your porch with your friend Glen I saw you and that was the first time I ever felt butterflies I was scared to give you a hug so I awkwardly waved ad I kept walking past your house that’s when you said stop wait. I stopped… You asked what I was doing later I told you that I was having a sleepover with my friend Felicia you told me to come over when she does so me, you his friend and my friend can hang out I said okay we can when I go get her I’ll be meeting her half away. You said great with a smile. That day we hung out was the first kiss we shared together. We were alone in your room, that first kiss was when I knew I liked you more than i did my boyfriend. That night I ended things with the new York guy. That’s when me and you started hanging out alone and when everyone found out that’s when I got the warnings. They would tell me you’re a player, you’re going to play me and break my heart, but I refused to listen. I kept seeing you and hanging out with you. Then it happened.. you hurt me and it felt like I was falling apart I cried and cried for weeks probably months because this was when you were whoring up Tania Moran. I told myself to never see you again. While I was hurting I started dating Evan, we were on and off because I broke things off because I still had feelings for you. One day, you called me asking to come over, so I did. We were 17 at this point … we were in your brothers room we talked and eventually it happened. I gave you my virginity. I was so scared but the moment we slept together was when I realized I was in love with you. My heart was stolen, you made me feel like I was the only girl that meant something to you because all the warnings I got didn’t matter to me. I told everyone it was Evan who took it, but it was you. You ran away because you were still in trouble. I was grounded. I was scared to start my senior year with a bruised face. Senior year started and by the 2nd week I saw you again, you were outside. I was scared to see you that was my first time seeing you since we got in trouble. You told me you got a new number so I got it. That night you snuck out to see me in my room, kissing lead us to having sex again. I had sex with 3 people after you but ours felt different, I fell in love all over again. Sure enough, nights after nights I snuck out to see you, we would have sex all night on my driveway, yours, the field, I was falling hard for you. I was falling deeply in love and I felt my heart was taken away from me. We were together till 11 at night to 4 am before my dad woke up to go to work I felt like I was the only girl in your world. I was wrong. The hours I was at school was when you shown your true colors because so many girls came clean to me saying you and them were sleeping together. A boy I gave my heart too was playing me again and I felt betrayed. My heart was crushed. That didn’t stop me, I continued sleeping with you risking myself knowing my parents would find out, but I didn’t care. I was in love. My heart was yours. Eventually my parents found out I wasn’t allowed to see you again. It felt like my world was falling, I fell into a depression I lost 15 pounds, I was at 90 pounds. I cried and screamed for you to come see me, but you didn’t. I hated you. I got myself better, I slept around again… next thing I know it was graduation night, I felt on top of the world because I was leaving high school I was so happy. Till that night I got home and I had a missed call from you. I called back you asked to see me, so I did. You told me how proud you were of me for graduating. We hooked up. The next day you dropped me for a girl that came to visit, Elizabeth. Me and her were what I thought friends but I was wrong. Summer was going good i left for new York and I reunited with Ej, my ex i was with at 16… I cane home to find out Elizabeth left. I called you, we hung out I realized my feelings never left. One night with family in town I snuck out to see you at the house that we broke into to secretly meet and have sex in. My dad found out and called he told me to bring you with me, I was so scared I was nervous.. we met up with my dad that’s when you told him you were in love with me, you’re a changed person you wanted to be mine. Right then and there i knew I wanted to spend the rest if my life with you. You were my home, you and I against the world. My dad shook your hand and that’s what I thought was the beginning of our relationship. We were openly seeing eachother & I was over the moon. That’s until one day I was kicked out of my house.. I ran to you, you stayed with me all day we drank that day away until I had to go to a birthday party. My drunk decisions lead to me cheating on you.. it turned into a secret a secret that never made us the same. Eventually you found out and left me. I began to cut myself, I tried to hide the cuts but someone saw and told you. That night you screamed at me till I couldn’t take it and ran out… you ran after me and thats when you hugged me and kissed my cuts. We got back together. Eventually you started cheating on me, I cheated back to get revenge. The fight got worse my cuts got deeper. Eventually fighting turned physical. I turned so depressed I tried killing myself to escape. Years passed and I was still with you. I was 21 now. Still together. I got better, I got help and you changed. Or so I thought you did. You turned into a very contrilonh lying cheater and I was so scared to leave because I had no one, not even my own family. I was so alone the only thing I had was alcohol i relapsed and started to cut again. I wanted out. The fighting didnt stop. Finally at 22 I got a job with the city, I was able to reunite with my best friend Jessica Lee; she kept me safe and she hugged me covering the bruises you gave me everytime we fought. I put makeup on my arms to cover the hand prints you have me. 23 came around and you called it quits, we broke up… and this time for good. I was 5 months late on my period I never told anyone till now, as I’m typing this. I told you and you didn’t believe me I knew I was pregnant but I fell down the steps on purpose I was bleeding that night. I killed the only thing that could’ve saved us, but you were dating your neighbor. I cried for months and months. While you were dating her I didn’t care I had sleepovers with you and we didn’t have just regular ex boyfriend and girlfriend sex we had sex I dreamt about having; sex to a thunderstorm where it was so soft I cried because I knew my heart still belonged to you, my unborn baby was happier knowing I didn’t bring it to this world because the father abused me. I never told you what I did and I haven’t till this day at 25 years old. I will never tell you. Our story ended at 25 years old, I was in love with you for 10 years. My heart is finally piecing back together all the pieces you broke, my scars are healed and my eyes no longer cry for you. We are now strangers, strangers with memories. I can drive past your house without breaking.

Jorge Solorzano, you were my first true love. And I thank you for all the good and bad times we shared together because you are everything I don’t want now. My heart no longer skips a beat when I hear your name, my heart no longer cracks of the thought of you giving your all to a new girl because eventually you’re going to hit her like you hit me and I’ll be with someone who appreciates me and says I’m beautiful with my scars and will love me for me. 🤞💋
