The idea that shrimp see colors we don't has been debunked--they have more types of color receptors, but they can't combine them nearly as well as we can so they actually see fewer colors.

But damn did that misconception lead to a useful way to describe things that are otherwise impossible to describe.

I think the reason I like Hunter Hartley so much is he fulfills a very necessary narrative niche. Someone should get completely fed up of Mike's shit, without that the show would have a severe "everyone around Mikey is unrealistically patient with him even when he's honestly pretty shitty towards them" problem. And having it be the character who starts off seeming like they'd have the most patience is very satisfying tbh.

And then it turns out that in his own way he's got just as much wrong with him as Mike and they become foils.

Mike mentioned at one point that he wished there were a tense for things that once had happened but have been undone by time travel (and I think I heard that there actually is such a tense in The Speech in the Young Wizards series, which I have not read.)

Now consider this: a tense for things that happen in at least one iteration of the future and are currently affecting the present via time travel, but are not necessarily still going to happen.

You know, I'm really surprised at the lack of fanfiction featuring any character from tma stuck in a timeloop-

Like, especially since there are so, so, sooooo many Time-Travel-Fix-It's. It's like none of u guys realize how much Angst potential the timeloop trope has-

Take any of the characters and throw them in a timeloop and watch as they despair over not being able to escape their situation, no matter how many times they try. They want to burn down the archives? Let them and then see how they suffer the consequences. Force them to take drastic actions and make them learn that it won't ever work. They have to be smarter, subtler. They have to plan their steps.

It would work even better if it's somebody with a biased pov. Melanie. Daisy. Tim. I'm especially fond of Tim. Force them to grow fond of the idiots they innitially despised, because they noticed nothing else works and Hey... Actually, I was wrong. They arent that bad, they arent at fault-
