as funny as the tree law stuff is, the punishment for that is a fine

and a reminder: If the penalty for a crime is a fine, then that law only exists for the lower class

it's funny, but i doubt it'll amount to much beyond the strikers being subjected to heat stroke because do you really think that LA would side with the strikers?

I cannot imagine still being an art student with the state of art supply stores right now. Everything's gone out of business except Michael's, which has a diminishing selection for anyone who isn't an etsy mom with a cricut.

I just want a simple basic sketchbook, hardcover, spiral bound, small enough to fit in a bag. The same kind of sketchbook I've been buying since 2009. I'm not even picky about brand.

The selection is DISMAL

there's only about 3 that fit the above criteria and they all have something about them that makes them awful. The paper is super thin, or has a weird texture or it's over $20 for just 40 pages. 40 pages!!! can you imagine???

So what's an artist supposed to do? Buy online where you only have pictures so you have no way of knowing the quality until it gets to you? That's worse!

It's a nightmare out here.
