"Hey Husk?" Called Angel as Husk was laying oh his chest fluff on the couch cuddling.

"Hmmm" answered Husk way too comfy to get actual words out.

"How come I know so little of the time you were an overlord" Asked Angel genuinely interested. Husk knew most of Angels past, however Angel barely knew anything, especially of the time he was an overlord at a casino. Hell he didn't even know which casino it was.

Husk froze when he registered the question.

"Well...*sigh* I dont like talking about it but I trust you, so you ready to go?" Said Husk while he stood up and offered his hand to his lover.

"Where we goin'?" Asked angel smiling slightly.

"To where I was most powerful" answered Husk seriously while he and Angel walked out hand in hand.

When Angel looked at the, nicely speaking, fucking massive casino. It was the most known casino in all of hell.

"Husk, THIS is the casino you owned??" Asked Angel.

"Yup" answered that cat shortly.

"I mean are you fucking kidding me? Honey thats the biggest casino in all of hell even the Vees look at it as something to be respected and feared."

"Well it wasn't that know when it was mine, the new owner did a good job." Husk's face was emotionless as they walked in and up some stairs.

"Is...the owner the new overlord who is the demon of gambling?" Asked Angel softly, not sure how his boyfriend will react.

"He is" still emotionless Angel could not figure out how his boyfriend felt right now.

At the end of the staircase was a hall where on the other side was a door that reached the ceiling. Two guards stood outside.

"Husk should we be here?" Asked Angel worried.

Husk grasped his hand and started walking towards the door calmly.

The guards opened the door without any questions.

That surprised Angel.

As they walked they saw a gorgeous office. It looked like an office from the Victorian period just a tad bit more modern. By the desk sat a young man who was reading over some papers in his hands. You.

Angel had a hard time believing the owner of the casino was this young but the way you were dressed gave it away. You wore a black turtleneck with matching suit pants and a grey trench coat over it.

When you looked up you had a bored expression on your face.

"Husk" You said without any emotions behind your voice.

"(Y/N)"

You stood up from your chair and walked over to the cat. Angel got more nervous by the second.

All of a sudden you and Husk started smiling and you two shook hands. For Angels surprise however it was not a formal handshake. It was one that shows deep trust.

"Husk, old buddy, I haven't seen you in ages hows death?" All of a sudden you had a lively voice and smiled big at Husk.

"Ohhh Is that your boyfriend, damn how did you pull him? Is he holding you hostage?"

You asked while looking at Angel still smiling.

Husk kicked you in the shin since you were taller than him and you cried out while holding your shin.

"Fuck Husk I was joking he is just really pretty, you know, unlike you." You said still holding your shin while Husk smirked, took Angels hand and led him over to the couch that was in your office. The spider looking at you concerned.

"Well, fuck you (Y/N)" said Husk smirking and pouring himself and Angel a drink from your drink cabinet.

"Yeah, yeah whatever old timer, how can I help you guys?"

"How are you guys on such a good terms, didn't you take his power?" Angel blurted out as the confusion got the best of him.

You sat down in your chair and put your elbows on the desk pouring yourself a drink.

"Oh, I have nothing to do with him loosing power that was all good 'ol Alastor I juts got to power after he left, hell he thought me half the shit I know."

"Ahh thats bullshit you were always smarter than me"

"Well I am now thats for sure" you smirked at the cat.

"Don't get too cocky now kid." He looked at you smirking back.

"Oh, how rude of me I'm sorry and you are?" You said looking at Angel.

"I'm Angel-"

"No, I don't care for your whore name I asked for your name, everyone Important to Husk is important to me and I'm happy that he finally found someone, however impossible that sounds."

"And who are you dating (Y/N)?"

Asked back Husk with a cocky smirk.

"Shut the fuck up let your boyfriend introduce himself." You said a bit red in the face.

"Just call me Anthony" he answered with a soft smile. He could barely believe it. You owned a casino a place which depends on sucking money out of people and you are an overlord. Just how in the flying fuck were you this nice?

"Alright Anthony, Husk what do I owe the pleasure of your visit."

"Well...my boyfriend wanted to know about my past as an overlord and since you were my apprentice who better to tell him than you."

"I mean apprentice is a strong word, but yeah we beat a lot of ass by those tables that's for sure. It was due to my brains and your experience." You smiled at those memories.

"Your boyfriend here was just as insufferable as he is now so" you smiled

"Watch it kid give your elders some respect" chuckled Husk. You laughed at that.

"Yeah, talking about elders how's the red radio?" You asked.

"Ehh the same jerk he always was."

"Yeah, you know he was here recently? Wanted my soul too. Too bad I won"

"I'm not surprised kid, I knew you were going to be big with that brain of yours, you know this guy has every kind of card deck memorized that exists." Pointed at you Husk.

"Wow, I wouldn't want to play a game against you thats for sure." Said Angel astonished.

"All right now, all right now, you guys are here to talk about Husk's past not me." You chuckled with a small blush.

"I'm glad to see you again Husk" you said sincerely.

"Yeah Its nice to be back but I ain't gonna play with you no more that's for sure"

"I know I know I wont ask that of you, im happy that I see you again is all, so I rase a toast, for old times sake" you said while raising your glass.

"For old times sake" answered Husk and put his glass up.

basically she allows dave to take initiative when HE feels comfortable and confident in sharing the things he’s self-conscious about. this really helps him be comfortable and form a strong bond with her

dave would wrap his arms around her to “ironically” imitate a pair of tangle buddy squiddles (while actually concealing genuine affection basically unbeknownst to himself) but he winds up looking just a little too into it for just an “ironic” bit yall……

jade is slower to realize her deeper feelings since she shows love to everyone (so long as theyre deserving of it!!!) it just hits her one day that she actually Likes him in a special way, while for dave it is more dynamic and gradual but very on the downlow, expressed in creative acts and services

once dave actually recognizes he’s really caught feelings for her down the line, dave and jade happily do the tangle buddies hug all the time. its like their handshake. its their weird couple thing

I'm in a fluffy mood so do you have headcanons about Icemav's first night living together? (do they move in together after Ice comes back to be an instructor at Top Gun and just keep the other place for a cover?)

Ohhhhhhhh thats such a cute idea and some soft is definitely on the menu and yes I feel like they absolutely do live together in all but name, the other place is their cover. So some head canons!

I think it's Ice's place they live in on a more permanent basis, it's just cleaner, Maverick's been living alone in his house for a few months and it's a bit of a state

That first night, Maverick comes over and helps Ice unpack his very very minimal belongings, all he has right now are the stuff he took on deployment. Sarah's going to send some more of his stuff now he has a bit of a nicer base to live on than an aircraft carrier

So it's not as if he needs help to unpack but Maverick insists! More so they can have an excuse to be in the same place late into the night, just two old buddies swapping stories right? What they're really doing is moving a lot of Maverick's stuff over, putting their photos up together on the mantle and hanging up their clothes side by side in the wardrobe and knitting their lives together in a way thats making them both so happy

Once it's all done, Ice is standing in the living room and just thinking about this future he has now and how it's going to be difficult but right now that doesn't matter because his slippers are tucked in next to maverick's in the corner and the world just feels Right

There is of course a framed photo of the handshake on the mantle and a picture of the Bradshaw's too

Mav lets Ice have his little moment then calls him out onto the back porch with a beer and they just listen to the ocean, letting it go dark enough that they can safely hold hands and Mav can lean his head on Iceman's shoulder

Eventually Mav's hand slides down Ice's leg and he knows that glint in his eyes so they disappear indoors and upstairs to their bed and because they don't have to rush now, they can take their time, Ice can really warm Mav up and tease him and take him apart in a way they've never had the time to before, they both get so much more vulnerable than they're used to because they just feel safe here

And the next morning is even better, Maverick waking up and getting to remember than he's in Their home and that sound downstairs is his Tom making him breakfast and he runs downstairs with the biggest smile on his face and whoops, now kitchen sex? and maybe also in the shower after?

the part in the pacific rim au where daniel experiences max’s nightmare/trauma about his family

omg pacrim!!!

its a bit long so under the cut lol

“Neural handshake, initiated.”

The robotic voice is the last thing he hears before it feels like his brain is being sucked out of his skull, thrown backwards into the blue haze of the Headspace. [in pacrim the transition into the headspace is always rlly funny their faces look like theyre sucked inwards so just wanted to write that feeling] He spins through images, his own memories, squeals of children running through feels, his mother’s voice saying something muffled, his own pealing laughter. [wanted the feel of smashcut movie-isms here]

Already, it feels better than before, his vision clear when Daniel opens his eyes and looks around.

He’s standing in a room, darkened by nightfall. He can hear a faint sobbing noise, coming from somewhere, a darkened closet. [scene setting, wanted it to be pretty dreamlike. like, there are only specific details that daniel is catching. fuck the rest of the room lol.]

When Daniel looks to his right, in the real world, vision double-layered, he can see Max frozen looking into the distance.

“Max,” he shouts, voice echoing back in the dream and the pod, “Max, snap out of it.”

He’s unresponsive. 

Daniel walks carefully through the room in the Headspace. There’s another, hitching cry and he opens the door of the wardrobe to see a boy, clutching at a blanket and sobbing, round red cheeks and a scrap of pale blond hair. [hes a little guy 😭 the littlest guy]

“Mama!” He’s sobbing, tears coming too quickly for him to be able to see, soaking into the collar of his shirt, down his neck. Daniel watches as he wipes them away, futile, little chubby hands digging fists into his eyes. [that feeling kids get when they are literally overwhelmed by tears. no self soothing skills. hes been crying for so long his shirt is wet...]

“Hey, hey, Max.” Daniel drops to his knees and starts shushing him, like he did his nieces and nephews at home. [uncle daniel feature! also... lightly touching on like. he never gets to see the kids but he always is thinking about them...] “Hey, come on.” 

He lets him fall forward into his chest, little fists clutching at the grooves in his armour. [the contrast between his child hands, and the harsh lines of daniels armour-- the reminder he is here for a purpose]

“Shh, that’s alright, shh,” he murmurs. Daniel feels little-Max tense as the muffled sound of shouting comes from another room, distant in the house. Looking around, he’s starting to get an idea of where he is. [creeping suspicions, WHY hes upset, but daniel still doesn't want to assume anything. all he cares about is that max is upset, and theres danger]

“This isn’t real Max.” 

The best way to wake someone up from a drift-nightmare is to tell them, calmly. That’s what Sebastian had told him. [rlly wanted to emphasise the way seb was a mentor for him and even in their short time together they rlly connected. daniel saying 'thats my friend' abt him driving past 😭]

“Calm and collected, you don’t want to scare them more,” He’d said, gesturing into the air, “but you have to wake them up, quickly. Otherwise things can go very wrong. You just have to keep telling them until you can continue the handshake.”

It’s hard to not feel nervous though, when you’re confronted with the maybe 5 year old version of your teammate.

“I want my Mama,” he says tearfully into Daniel’s chest. There’s more shouting, a crash from somewhere, all muffled like the soundwaves are travelling through water.

“Yeah, yeah buddy,” Daniel nods, pats at his head and down his back. “It’s alright. This isn’t real, you just have to wake up, alright?” 

“It is real.” Even as Max says it he seems to come back to himself, slowly, “my mama and my sister, they’re sad and I’m going to have to go away-“ [max's brain is going between being a kid and being himself, adult max, and so its like moments of illogical logic... still the thoughts of a kid but able to deliver it more and more like an adult, and he knows whats going on too that this isn't real]

He wails and Daniel bites back a curse, just puts his hands on his shoulders, smooths them down. 

“I’m sorry Max but this isn’t real. You have to wake up, and then everything will be fine.” 

He casts about for things to say and settles on- [daniel's child comforting skills/child rearing skills in videos are... um... i was rlly thinking about that one where he's just laughing at his nephew falling over lol so hes obviously feeling a bit ?!?!?! here]

“Come on, okay, just breathe with me, alright? In-“ he sucks in a deep breath, watches Max’s cheeks puff up [literally his round cheeks in baby pics] as he struggles to breathe in smoothly, chest hitching with hiccups. “-and out.” An exaggerated ‘whoosh’ out of his mouth that makes him giggle.

“Good job, in, and out.” Daniel moves into the wardrobe, and shuts the door on them, as if to protect them. [again, not talking about what is happening. they dont need to talk about whats happening. the only thing is max feeling more okay!] They repeat that, and then Daniel starts to feel the telltale tug in the bottom of his stomach that they were leaping through again, Max’s face going funny.

He gives his small, chubby hands [BABY MAX. AGAIN.] a squeeze before-

underrated relationships in second gen: cassie's friendships with virgil and jaime. we know from the tie-in comics that jaime and cassie clicked really quick and we see they're buddies in bits and pieces after, and cassie's friendship with virgil in s3 onward is SO good and cute. if irc there was a little s3 interaction that got cut for time where cassie and virgil did a whole handshake and i will mourn that FOREVER. also her calling the both of them "my guys" like pls she loves them so much.

YES I CONSTANTLY THINK ABOUT CASSIE AND HER BOYS!!! Both comic and yja cassie have that beautiful energy of just, affectionately bossing her guy friends around. Not in a mean way, they just go "yeah cassie sounds convincing enough" (she has no idea what she's talking about)

ive said it before and ill say it again- phantom is victim to the same thing that happened to dave homestuckboy, people see a cool exterior and then incessantly and permanently characterize him as said cool exterior even though it becomes VERY FUCKING OBVIOUS that its a massive front for some deep deep problems. point is, hes got a mask, the mask doesnt come off when you know its a mask, and he may not entirely recognize how much of it is the mask and how much is just him, but it is absolutely 100 fucking % a mask. take it off and he would be woefully unprepared to face the world. i doubt he's been given a granule of sincere no-strings-attached affection for years and years, likely why kindness from someone like aria moved him so much- it was genuine, and it was so new, and he kept coming back bc hes had a taste of love and needs more and aaAAAAAA..... ANYWAY i dont blame you for not knowing much about their backstory it was revealed in a stream davey wreden did with his brother. so the reason they kept asking for pencils is because that was their entire job (that's why their desk has a pencil sharpener and nothing else) but everyone was forbidden from giving them pencils (there's also a peer review of them that someone datamined...it's really mean and implies that part of why they were chosen as the subject for this experiment was because they thought for themself instead of just keeping their head down and doing what they were told) until eventually one day the stress was so great that they just...transcended their mortal form and became a settings menu.

as for my ship with them, i have two main timelines: a reverse-isekai au where i figure out some way to free them from the void outside the parable...which in turn brings them to my real-world apartment so now we have that challenge to navigate (but it's very much the start of a healing journey for poor 432), and one set within the game where i'm another of stanley's former coworkers who was kind to 432 and was thus fired because the boss didn't want me mucking up his experiment, but the narrator erasing the rest of stanley's coworkers somehow pulls me back into the parable. stanley and the narrator can't seem to see or hear me but 432 can and communicates with me through the office monitors. office romance finally being made possible because we've technically already been doomed by the narrative <3

(1) ok so. tyler’s family were scary but they ended up being so nice. when we first got there his brother asked me how much tyler paid me to be there 💀 tyler nudged him and said knock it off. then his brother said “well tyler, glad youre finally bringing a girl home” and his mom had come in just then. and scolded ty’s brother lol. his sister just said hi from the couch and ty went up to her and whispered something. and then they did a handshake which was so cute 🥺 i asked ty’s mom if she needed help with dinner. she took me up on that. it was nice talking to her. she was really sweet. we talked and even got to joking around. so thats good. ty’s dad came home in the meantime and said hi. he talked to me a bit too. ty’s sister was still a bit standoff-ish at dinner. she wasnt mean. just didnt really interact with me. she was the hardest to win over. but she did compliment my outfit. i appreciated that i changed three times she mentioned she needed new clothes for when school starts. i told her if she needed a shopping buddy to let me know. and she was like “really? can we go tomorrow?” and i looked at ty bc i had no clue what he had planned. and he sighed and was like “well i had plans to show her around tomorrow” and i gave him a look and he goes “but i guess we can do that after you guys get back” so next day i woke up before ty and got ready. then just sat there until he was up bc i was too scared to go downstairs alone lol. when we did go it was just his parents awake. his mom had me sit with them while ty made coffees lol. his mom told me they enjoyed having me here. and that tyler hasnt brought a girl over since his hs gf. who wasnt allowed to spend the night lol. and she told me he seemed really happy and…in l-word with me 🙈🙈🙈 oh and she said to not pay too much attention to his sister’s behavior bc she’s just jealous she’s not getting all of ty’s attention lmao. then later i took his sister shopping. we found a pair of earrings we both thought were cute so i bought myself and her a pair. she was really thankful and sweet. we ended up talking and she warmed up to me. especially when i said “you know youre just as amazing as tyler says” and she was like “what?” and i said “he talks about you all the time. i was really excited to meet you because he always says youre his best friend” i think she started to like me more after that. idk i tried to show her that im not stealing her brother from her lol. oh and me and her talked about boys and she mentioned this one guy. i was like oh is he cute and she blushed. i go omg do you have a crush on him. she was so red and told me i couldnt tell ty lol. when we got back though, ty’s brother had friends over. they were asking his sister who her friend was. she rolled her eyes lol. so sassy. then they were introducing themselves to me and ty’s brother was like “she’s not interested. she’s in college and is my brother’s girlfriend” i had to hold myself back from laughing that im in college came first and then ty’s gf. but in their introductions i learned that the boy ty’s sister has a crush on is her brother’s friend 🙈 oh girl. i gave her a look. she ran upstairs to put her stuff away lol.

(2) oh and during all this ty was at the store bc his mom sent him to run errands lol. so i chilled with her. helped her get some stuff ready since we were doing a cookout for dinner that night. ty finally came back. his mom shooed us out of the kitchen and told us to go have fun and then when we were putting on our shoes to go she yells “not too much fun though” 🙈 ty’s brother and his friends were snickering. high schoolers smh 🙈 so ty drove us and showed me around. it was fun. it was cute hearing his stories and memories and seeing how excited he got at some things. tbh i think i was giving him heart eyes more than i was looking around 🙈🙈 idk if i can explain it. just seeing him in his element. and a whole new level of relaxed and at home and domestic. idk. maybe youll get it 🙈 he also asked me how shopping with his sister went. so i told him about that minus her crush i aint a snitch. and i told him about his brothers comment lol. he goes “he’s so ridiculous he literally told his friend there was gonna be a college girl at his house. and he told me that you were too hot for me” that one made me giggle. ty said he smacked his brother for that one lol. i said “well i think you’re too hot for me. i mean look at you” he said “what the fuck are you talking about. i’m the luckiest guy in the world for managing to snag you” which 🥺🥺🥺 he was driving so i leaned over and kissed his cheek. bc it was so cute. and kate🙈🙈🙈 bestie 🙈🙈🙈 im only telling you this (and my other anon friends) bc i trust you guys. i havent told anyone else 🙈 but… i was really close to saying the three words to him 🙈🙈 really really close. but i got scared 🙈 it feels too soon. or that maybe its just in my head bc of what his mom said. idk.

(3) i maybe repeated some of this bc i forgot where i left off. we drove around some more. parked and walked around at a few stops. i maybe asked him about his hs gf 🙈 he said they werent really compatible and she was nice but they were better as friends and dated more bc of the pressure of dating. he was very open and honest about it though and that just made me more 🥺 we went to a park with a really nice overlook. then you have to walk through a forest and theres another more secluded one. we were going to kiss but i said “did you take all the girls here” and he said “no, i actually only ever came here alone. youre the only one” and i gave him a 🥺 look. he was a little pink. and i really really wanted to say it again 🙈 but i just kissed him instead. and then we made out 🙈🙈 for a decent amount of time actually. it felt like we were the ones in hs lol. then we were gonna go back. but our lips were a little swollen and red 🙈 so we went to get ice cream instead. then we went back to ty’s. his brother made a comment about us being gone for a while and was smirking. ty flicked him😭 oh and omg kate this was so cute 🥺 so they have these really cute lights in their backyard. his mom is super trendy lol. and they had music playing the whole time. eventually everyone went inside. they refused to let me help bc i had helped enough. i told ty i wanted to sit outside some more. it was so cute out there. the music was playing softly and i was cuddled up with ty and wearing his sweatshirt. it was a good vibe and i wanted to enjoy it.

(4) so we were sitting there quietly. he was just rubbing my shoulder with his thumb since his arm was around my shoulders. and then omg kate 🙈 this is so cheesy 🙈 thinking out loud by ed sheeran came on. ty got up and held his hand out. and asked “dance with me?” i had the biggest grin on my face and nodded. so we danced in his backyard 🙈 just like swayed back and forth nothing fancy. he was spinning me around and i was laughing. eventually we weren’t even dancing just laughing and swaying and trying to get each other to spin 🙈🙈🙈 until he finally pulled me in and we swayed again. i really almost said it again 🙈 but then he leaned down and kissed me. it was soft and sweet. we didnt stay out too long after that. but then we got ready for bed and stuff and he ran downstairs bc his brother used his phone charger and left it downstairs. and when he came back up he was so red. and i was like “are you good? did you just run a marathon or something?” and he flopped down on the bed next to me and groaned. he goes “my whole family saw that” and i said “saw what” and he goes “us dancing and the kiss. i just got hardcore roasted” and then i was like “oh” and he goes “my mom and sister think were adorable. my dad said i need to learn how to dance” which made me laugh. and then he goes “my brother told me my kissing game was weak and my mom glared at him and said it was respectful, which is how you should treat girls.” i hid my face in his chest and said ty this is so embarrassing. he said “your fault for laughing so hard it got their attention” but he said it jokingly lol. i said “maybe take your dads advice and learn to dance so i dont have to laugh” which made him laugh and squeeze my side. that made me squeal and i go oh no that was so loud. tyler was cracking up. but then he got serious and told me he was glad i was getting along with his family 🥺 he told me i fit with them well and that hes glad i was able to bond with his siblings, especially his sister 🥺🥺🥺

(4? 5? fuck i forgot again) and then today i woke up first before anyone else. so i threw on tyler’s sweatshirt and went and sat outside again. just enjoyed the morning. ty’s mom came out and asked me how i slept and all that. then told me she saw us two dancing last night. and she told me her son was clearly in l-word with me and then she smirked over her coffee mug and said “i think the feelings mutual” and took a sip of her drink. SHES SUCH A SAVAGE 🙈🙈🙈 i took a sip of my coffee just so i didnt have to respond and i could feel my whole face was on fire. but then she goes “you two are really sweet and im glad you make him so happy” and i said “he makes me happy too. you raised a great guy” and she smiled at me. then she told me stories about her and her husband meeting and stuff. and also about raising tyler. then his dad came out and brought breakfast. he also added in some stories. oh and his mom asked for my number and she sent me a few pictures she took of me and ty when we were sitting outside and when we were dancing 🙈🙈 idk how neither of us noticed them watching us through the window. but the pictures were cute. ty and his brother came downstairs and also ate with us. then ty and i went on a walk around their neighborhood which was nice and peaceful. when we got back we chilled with his family some more. his sister was awake too and asked me to help her with makeup. so we went to her room. and she was like “you and my brother are cute” 🥺 and she goes “that kiss was like a movie kiss” and i blushed 🙈 she told me how she hasnt had her first kiss and asked me about mine and stuff. it was kinda cute that she trusted me to like ask questions and be open. she was more open about her crush too and told me how he talked to her yesterday and gushed about how cute he was. i just let her go with it lol. and then she told me it was nice having a girl to talk to like a sister bc she cant talk to her brothers about that stuff 🥺🥺 so i told her if she ever wanted to talk she could reach out to me. so now she follows me on insta and has my number lol. then we sat with the fam again and had lunch and then it was time for ty and i to leave. everyone in his family gave me a hug 🥺 and they told me i should visit again 🥺 so it started off really scary but his family dynamic is so cute and they were all nice.

ok here are mine:

everytime macaroni is made, a sign has to be put up in the kitchen that says 'dave do not enter' because once he smells macaroni he will come in and refrence that one vine. everyone does this except roxy, only because it makes bee laugh.

rose has knitted everyone sweaters, and somehow they all look like they have pngs on them. thats how good she knits.

roxy teaches dirk how to be a cook, and it turns out dirk is an amazing cook with anything to do with noodles or tacos/burritos.

rose and dave both eat bare mozzerella balls straight from the little thing they come in. they do it together sometimes as they talk about their days.

rose also knits pride flags for the gang, and roxy pitches in on helping by organizing the colors correctly. since all of them [except dave for the most part] are kind of sensetive to bright colors, most of the time they're really soft and pretty colors, and rose ended up making them for the entire group when june rolls around
