Just noticed this in both seasons of Gravity Falls.
When Dipper screwed up in a major way while with Stan or Ford, the episode ended with them both having a Pitt Cola and him being cheered up and motivated by them.
It happened at the end of Boyz Crazy after Dipper ruined Wendy and Robbie's relationship and angered Wendy...
And again at the end of The Last Mabelcorn when he nearly memory wiped Ford and broke the machine.
IDK about you, but I just love this small little bonding thing he has with them. Nothing like an S&P approved drink and some Grunkle motivation to get you going again!
Northwest Mansion Mystery: Pacifica asks Dipper to help get rid of a ghost that is haunting the Northwest mansion before he wreaks havoc on her party.
The Last Mabelcorn: A new threat requires that Mabel venture into the enchanted realm of the unicorns. Meanwhile, Dipper learns an unexpected twist about the enigmatic Bill Cipher.
[ID: A traditional artwork of Mabel Pines and Ford Pines from Gravity Falls, colored with alcohol markers.
Mabel is in the lower middle of the image which cuts off below her upper body. She has an upset expression and is crying with her eyes closed. She is holding a noteblock tightly against her chest and wears an unicorn ear ring. To the right of the image behind her, Celestabelle's eye is looking at her. A colorful, glittering unicorn mane is flowing on the left side next to Mabel.
On the upper half of the image, behind Mabel and the mane, Ford is visible up to his bust. His back is mostly turned to the viewer though his face is still visible from a side profile. His eye is closed and he looks distressed. His mouth is covered by the collar of his coat. Bill's eye is looking at him from the very left side of the image. To his right, various screens from the mind scanning machine can be seen. One screen shows Bill's eye looking to Ford's direction, another shows static, and the last shows the text "I'm sorry Fiddleford" cut off.
The image is colored in various colors save for Mabel and Ford, who are colored in grayscale. /end ID]
"Get out of here! You have no dominion in our world!"
"Maybe not right now, but things change, Stanford Pines! Things change!"
I drew this on black paper with colored pencils and soft pastels. It was drawn as a one shot, which means since I used colored pencils I couldn't erase anything. I think it turned out really nice!
so anyways i needed a new phone case so I thought I’d design one myself, and I’ve been in a gravity falls mood lately so! :) (and if you want one too theyre on my redbub, just search for my username “frostedpixels”!)
Ford sends Mabel, with the help of Candy, Grenda, and Wendy, to find unicorn hair for the force field around the house as he and Dipper find the hidden truth about Bill Cipher after Ford receives a major threat from him in his dreams. “The Last Mabelcorn” premiered on this day, 8 Years Ago.
While I did do the good deed of donating blood today, I doubt I’ll cross off as many as Mabel did in a day, as well as I don’t know how I can abolish the Electoral College (but I’m glad she figured it out ;) ). I also love that she both massaged Waddles and scratched him. ;)
In season two, episode 15 (The Last Mabelcorn), Bill says, "Whoa, don't have a heart attack, you're not 92 yet."
He also says, "...and your name's Stanford Pines, the man who changed the world."
So, eventually, Ford got famous, and then had a heart attack at 92. I'm not sure if someone's caught this yet, I'm sure they have, but that seems to be what Bill's implying here?
In the last Mabelcorn it always irked at what lesson they were supposed to teach. I mean 'morality is relative' just felt out of place. But then it made sense.
It was trying to show that Mabel is not pure of heart, she's a 12 year old girl who has her flaws and we see that throughout the episode. The show and Mabel admit that she is not perfect and that she's willing to work on it. And Ford seeing that she is a good person despite her not being pure of heart(or perfect) was what we were looking for.
