With all that happened in season three there is now no excuse to not have a decent story line for season four of The Mandalorian.
I’m looking at you, Jon

Does no one suspect Axe Woves of being the spy instead of The Armorer? Am I the only one? He's the one who peaced out of the battle claiming to be going for reinforcements. How is he supposed to even be able to contact the fleet?

Season 3 of the Mandalorian could have been the BEST... (PART 2)
In the following attempt to improve this season I will respectfully try to maintain the direction Jon and Dave were going for.
I will try to not go into extreme details in explanations to keep it more brief.
Also, I won't claim that this rewrite would make it perfect. This purely about how I would improve the story to make it more well-rounded and coherent.
Let's begin;
Episode 1 and 2.
I would not change much other than a few dialogue especially Bo's to not repeat herself when she is following Grogu's directive.
And the opening scene in Ep. 1. I would abandon the idea to begin with action. So I would leave out the appearance of the Monster crocodile entirely.
Rather I would make Din Djarin arrive to the Covert just before nightfall, where he would watch from a distance the as the kid swears to uphold the Creed. (We could even have some flashbacks here to his childhood during Deathwatch.)
Afterwards he would come up to the Armorer and give her some beskar for the future foundlings.
The rest could play out the same way.
Episode 3.
I would significantly shrink the time we spend on Corusant. Therefore Episode 4 could blend in with 3.
There would be a scene where Din is training alone with the Darksaber, apart from the rest of the Covert. Bo would see this. She would offer him to help. She would show how to handle it. He would complement her and reaffirm that he doesn't want the responsibility the Darksaber comes with. He would ask why does she want to lead. She would tell about Satine, that since she died the responsibility is on her. (She wouldn't reveal how Satine died)
Din would ask her to join to train Grogu.
The rest of the episode would go the same way. Expect that other Mandalorians would push back on her whether she should lead the war party or not. The Armorer would say that let Bo Katan prove herself to the people by this, so they agree.
Also during the long walk towards the nest, Bo and Din could have a conversation that is the continuation of what began in the Mines. (their backstory)
Also during the campfire scene Bo would thank Din for bringing her to the covert just before he would leave to have his dinner on his own.
Din would thank her again for saving his life twice. And that to bring her here is the least he owes her.
After he leaves and she takes off her helmet she would be disappointed that its an obligation for him rather than kindness.
Episode 4 would be what happened in 5.
Except there would be more real debate between the Mandalorian Covert whether to help Greef Karga or not.
In the end, both Din and Bo would be called before the Armorer.
The Armorer would question Bo whether she really saw the mythosaur. (That's when Din would learn she what saw under water.)
The Armorer would recite the old prophecy of the coming new age, then would tell that only both of them can bring the tribes together since one has the Darksaber the other saw the mythosaur.
Then Din would suggest to the Armorer to let Bo take off her helmet since she will be more convincing to her people that way.
The Armorer would reconsider this and would eventually allow.
Afterwards they take off along with Grogu.
Episode 5 would take place on Chandrila. (The setting wouldn't change only the name from Plazia 15)
The Episode would begin in the Senate and would show Mon Mothma trying but failing to bring together the division between Senators.
Elia Kane would watch all this smugly.
Mon Mothma travels home, whereupon she would find that Bo, Din and Grogu are seeking her presence.
Bo and Mon would talk politics and how its going for the New Republic while Grogu would act cheekily and try to snatch away Mon's necklace which has a small ball on the end.
Din had not paid much attention to Bo and Mon's conversation anyway (he's not interested in politics), he would apologize for Grogu's behavior, telling that he needs to learn a lot still.
Mon would be surprised to learn that Grogu is a Jedi. Then she would promise to the little one that she will make sure with everything in her power as the Chancellor to never let anything similar happen to the Jedi like Order 66.
Grogu would appreciate it with a nod, but get upset over his old memories. Din silently comforts him, while Mon would reveal that Moff Gideon escaped and that because beskar alloy was found on the ship that should have transported him to trial, some Senators have been accusing the Mandalorians of rescuing him.
Bo and Din find this hilarious, but Mon stays serious. When Bo asks who believes this since she was the one to hand him over to the New Republic, plus Moff Gideon destroyed their home world, what motivations they would have Mon just shrugs her shoulders and says that's politics.
She also says that the situation escalated to the point where the Senate has requested Axe and his fleet to show up before them, but Axe not only denied the request but went missing.
Bo realizes that Mon still knows where they are but won't tell the Senate.
Mon gives them the location, but as Bo, Din and Grogu would leave Grogu seems to eye on of the service droids, then as it suddenly would try to kill Mon Grogu stops it by the Force.
Mon would then reveal that this is not the first incident that refurbished old droids try to assassinate her. No one knows this only her a few personal body guards because she doesn't want this to get out.
Bo and Din promise to solve the problem in exchange for Mon to declare Mandalore a sovereign system.
The rest of the episode would be the similar to the original, except that they have to keep this investigation low profile.
The battle droid chase would happen in the docks and dark alleys. They follow the droid into the droid bar, where every second droid is a battle droid, so they can't tell which one was it, so Din's anxiety and more harsh approach to the matter is more justified.
Grogu feels around with the Force and points at the rogue droid, which tries to escape but he gets shot down by Din and Bo.
They solve the case and Commissioner Heilgait gets exiled.
Bo, Din, Grogu would then fly to Corvus planet, where Axe and the fleet is in hiding.
Bo would try to challenge Axe but he denies and instead challenges Din.
Din however explains how the Darksaber really belongs to Bo.
So eventually Bo and Axe duel. Axe loses.
Bo receives the Darksaber.
From here own the storyline could go two ways: either episode 6 would be what Episode 7 was about, and lengthen the finale into three episodes or, Episode 6 could be about how the two tribe set aside their differences through Bo and Din's cooperation.
Let's say I choose to draw out the finale.
Everything is the same except that Bo gets captured instead of Din, leaving behind the Darksaber.
There are several ways to end the season, but I'll wait for Episode 8 to air then I'll update this section.

The finale seriously got me tearing up! Firstly when Grogu put up the force shield around them, then when Din adopted Grogu (it’s Grogu Djarin damn it) and of course the zoom out of father and son chilling in front of their home🥹 God damn I love them, all I wanted was them this season, guess I’m just glad they didn’t kill him off like I kept seeing people speculate so now I can think about meeting him in Nevarro and going back to his house😌

Has anyone asked Filoni or Favreau about this “Din Grogu” business yet? Because we all, collectively, need clarity on it!
I think it’s because Grogu has no last name, and is adopted, but cannot verbalize the creed, so they named him Din Grogu as if to specify ‘Son of Din’ in the meantime until he is old enough to voice the creed and take his vow, which requires him to state his given name or for it to be known fully, at least, in order to then speak the creed:
“I swear on my name,
And the names of the Ancestors,
That I shall walk The Way of the Mand’alor,
And the words of The Creed shall forever be forged in my heart.”
Hoping that at that point, he will be able to identify himself as Grogu Djarin, son of Din.
