Hi i love your blog and your an amazing writer. I hope it’s ok for me to make a request if you aren’t busy. Can you please write Jamil, Vil and Azul’s (+ anyone you want to add)) reaction to a S/o that can transfer physical wounds from a person to themselves
Aw, thank you so much! And yes it is very much okay to request!
Tumblr media
It really surprised him when he saw you transfer someone else's wounds onto yourself, and he was also worried as well.
•Although it gave him a shock, he was more worried that you were gonna be infected if the wound that you just transferred onto yourself wasn't properly healed.
•After you said farewell to the person, you were immediately lectured by Jamil on how to be more careful when it came down to your own abilities.
•You were surprised that he saw the whole thing but told him not to worry! Since you can take care of yourself and he doesn't need to worry, besides, the wounds are minor so it's no big deal!
•Of course even after that he still attended your wounds so they wouldn't have an infection.
•And Kalim is also very impressed and Jamil always has to try and tell Kalim not to pressure you too much.
•Although Jamil was very surprised when he learned about your abilities, he was impressed but still worried about you! So try to lessen your abilities around him just so he wouldn't get a heart attack...
Tumblr media
•Vil was quite impressed! Albeit shocked but still impress nonetheless.
•Of course Vil doesn't treat you any differently, no! Of course not! He is just worried that you overdo it, so don't overdo it for his sake and others. But mostly for him.
•Vil is like a Mother hen, he is quite protective and is always worried for you whenever you do your abilities!
•And he reminds you every now and then to take care of yourself and drink lots of water and not overdo it!
•He somewhat tells Rook to look after you and make sure you take care of yourself and that you wouldn't be too reckless with your abilities.
•Overall, Vil is calm about this! Just don't get yourself hurt in the process as well... or else you'll hear a lot of lectures coming from him to take care of yourself more often.
Tumblr media
•He is amazed to say the least!
•At first, he kinda wanted to make it his but decided against it! And besides, you looked like you were enjoying yourself! Soo...
•Anyways, Azul is amazed and wants to learn more about your abilities and wishes to see more of your ability!
•You showed him an example when he accidentally injured himself and he saw the whole entire process in his eyes and felt all of his pain go away.
•He was surprised but also worried for you, so he tried to tend your wounds and you got a discount from the Lounge as well! Hooray!
•But fyi please be more careful with your abilities since Azul gets worried quite easily! So don't give him any more heart attacks... (Like the one time someone had a huge bruise and cut and you decided to transfer their wound onto yours, to say the least Azul was literally about to cry but tried to stay calm for your sake.)
•Overall Azul is worried and amazed by you! But please don't make him more worried than he already is...
Tumblr media
And that is it! I hope you enjoyed this as much as I did! And I am sorry if it wasn't your exact expectations... I didn't have any much ideas and I am busy! So I hope you do understand!

Another post! This time featuring what the antagonists for my AU might look like. While Akane and Nekomaru are locked in the rest is up to changes in the future. Kyoko and Celestia were put on a poll but the results I believe I didn't set up properly, so now I'm amending that somewhat. I drew both sets in these sketches, and when enough time has passed I'll set up another poll, properly this time on strawpoll.
As for some design explanations and lore you can check under the cut :)
Tumblr media
Kyoko and Makoto I believe are pretty straightforward here, I gave Kyoko a neckerchief that goes pretty far down to give her that sort of upper class educated look, while Makoto I gave a smart little jacket. There's only so far you can go with the normal boy, but I also made his hair fluffier and nicer. His ahoge is there but it's normally combed back, and only springs to full life when he's in murder mode.
Kyoko joined her dad in leaving the tradition of detective work behind and entered the business world where she used her analytical mind to be the best damn stock investor in the world, while definitely something she excels at it's not something she finds particularly fulfilling.
Makoto is a wholesome, normal dude who loves writing books about wholesome stories with good endings, while his family was and still is normal, he was captured once by unscrupulous scientists wanting to explore Despair and its mysterious qualities. Makoto never gave in, but in his suffering developed an alter ego who was grimly invested in justice above all else.
Sparkling Justice is a night haunter, who exclusively goes around killing murderers and evildoers against Makoto's wishes. Choosing to right any injustice he sees in the world, allowing for happy endings for the victims, surely?

I went hard with celes and hifumi a long time ago in previous designs, so here they are with similar designs as I gave them before. Hifumi wears a suit vest, and a button-up underneath while still keeping his bag... which may or may not be more than just a simple bag...
Celestia was born a normal kid and absolutely hated that life, so when a relative of hers from Europe visited she begged them and her family to go with them and she did. She grew up exploring Europe, and would propose money-making schemes to her family abroad and would eventually be able to fund the glamorous lifestyle she always thought she deserved.
Hifumi is just a writer-focused version of himself, though with a particular love for action-romance novels and fiction rather than strictly heart-melting novels like Touko. He's a sweet boy but very weird and horny for Celestia, so he's completely useless around her. He's basically a tool... just like...
ROBO-JUSTICE is a serial killer known for their modus operandi of targeting particularly attractive and very mean women with hammers or blunt force trauma. This alter was formed after one particularly awful night of bullying resulting in Hifumi getting thrown into an abandoned industrial park and nearly dying from exposure to wires and sharp metal. Despite this though, it is almost entirely subservient to Celestia whenever it surfaces from Hifumi's mind.
Tumblr media
Akane and Nekomaru I've already drawn before, but I think it'd be nice to give some of the backstory I've planned for them.
Akane is a well-meaning, brash, and reckless person whose freakish natural strength pairs with a luck that does everything except help her directly. Random and unpredictable, Akane desperately tries everything she can to get into extremely unpredictable and dangerous situation for her luck to grace those around her with the best outcome from her misfortune, even if it means hurting a lot of people in the process.
Nekomaru was inspired by the nonstop hard work he saw the nurses had to do when they were treating his heart condition. So inspired that he made it his solemn vow to join them whatever it took, leading him to become the ultimate nurse. He would, however, be the first of his classmates to fall to the despair of the mastermind, as his well-meaning nature drew him into a trap he could not predict.
Tumblr media
For Rantaro and Tenko I took inspiration from M. Bison(Dictator) and Criss Angel specifically. These are the most experimental designs I have as you can tell, but I plan on working on them a lot.
Tenko's story involves her becoming the head of her little "dojo" and straight up turning it into a cult, with her as the ultimate supreme leader and the greatest fighter in the world.
Rantaro started off doing magic for her sisters, and got so good at making them happy that one of them introduced his magic act to the world through sites like youtube, causing him to become a sensation drooled over by millions of girls around the world.

Your post about your vision of what Roy’s and Jason’s relationship should be like is one I agree with, but the whole Roy would be sympathetic of Jason is something I can see from most of the Titans who knew him as Robin, and I wish we could’ve seen at least a tangent of what each of their thoughts were about his resurrection. I’ve always felt Wally would’ve been the most sympathetic, since he’s also somewhat critical of Bruce’s choices as a father.
I agree with that so much, but I'm so glad we didn't see their thoughts on Jason because they would probably be along the lines of "he's a psycho killer" like everyone else's were, purely because of most writers hating him. With the Titans after TT #29, it's fair because Jason did just leave Tim bloody but that was awful writing. And that writing is exactly what we kept getting when anyone but Winick was writing Jason, so. It's always "Jason was reckless and violent, of course he turned out like this", but very rarely do they look back on Jason as a kid with any sympathy.
Ignoring what they realistically would've given us, I definitely would've loved to see some of them think back on the kid they knew. The Titans would have, Donna (pre-coutdown) and Kory especially because they spent the most time with Jason during that team up when he was Robin. Wally's critical of Bruce while also being someone who respects him, so I think that balance would've given him good perspective.

OMG I just came across your page and read your Tallahassee fics and had to come say that they are so spicy, fun & amazing!!!! Please tell me you have plans to write more because you’re the best writer I’ve read for him 💕
I wanted to ask if I can request a bit of a comfort fluffy one if you like it where like in the first movie he reveals to everyone that Buck was actually his son so the reader ends up comforting him later and they make love telling him they won’t replace his baby but maybe it’s time they can make a new family of their own together.
Hello 😁, thank you, I'm glad you like my stories. I am in the middle of another one atm but I got multiple ideas on how to end it and I sometimes can't make decision to save my life 😂. I rewrote this a couple of times, trying to get it perfect. I hope it's somewhat close to what you were thinking x😊
𝐿𝑜𝓈𝓈 𝒶𝓃𝒹 𝐿𝑜𝓋𝑒
Summary: During a game of Monopoly, you find out that your boyfriend lost the most important thing in his life. His son
Warnings: none
Word count: 1950
“Hey guys, look what I found,” you announced cheerfully as you skipped into the living room, where the group was gathered around the fire, their faces illuminated by the flickering flames. The room is dim, but the fireplace casts a gentle glow. You held up a box with a hopeful smile plastered on your face, revealing the game you had stumbled upon, “Wanna play?”
“Oh, Monopoly,” Columbus said, reaching up for the box with a smile. "Cool." He quickly opened the box to admire all of the little pieces, game tokens, Chance cards, Community Chest cards, and the big stack of Monopoly Money. He placed the box in the middle of the group and began unpacking the pieces.
"Wow," Wichita exclaimed, "I haven't played that in years."
“Dibs on the top hat,” you called out, shooting your hand in the air as if you were asking your teacher for permission to talk. Tallahassee smiled at your childlike enthusiasm, and you could feel his gaze on you as you eagerly awaited his response. After a few seconds, he silently handed you the top hat, and you took it with an excited expression. You quickly took the spot next to him, and his arm immediately wrapped around your waist. You felt the warmth of his body pressing against you, and you smiled as you settled into the spot that you would come to think of as yours. You had been searching for this feeling for a long time, and now that you had it, you felt happy and content. Tallahassee smiled as he kissed your head.
You each roll the dice, aiming to get the highest number that you can and to be the first to get to the fun and exciting places on the board. Wichita lands on Park Place and wastes no time, quickly buying it up and planning to build some houses. Little Rock, meanwhile, rolls a double, is thrilled to land on Boardwalk, and is lucky enough to be able to buy it before anyone else. On the other side of the table, Tallahassee gets sent to the 'Go' spot, collecting two hundred dollars and reminiscing on all the times that she has mistakenly ended up there before. Columbus, however, rolls snake eyes, revealing that it’s time to pay taxes.
Little Rock rolled the dice again and got a seven. She moved her token and landed on the Free Parking space on the game board.
“Oh, free parking, which coincidentally is the best thing about Zombieland,” Wichita points out, and you laugh before bringing your drink to your lips to take a sip.
“That’s a good one, but I think the best thing about Z-Land is no speed limit,” you replied, smirking. The statement echoed through the group, eliciting knowing chuckles. You were no stranger to the thrill of the open road, though your reckless driving had earned you a fair share of speeding tickets in the pre-apocalyptic world, which the group was not surprised about. Tallahassee rarely lets you drive anymore.
“Of course, you’d say that,” Tallahassee said with a chuckle. Columbus shook his head and Wichita was suppressing a giggle. Little Rock sat with a straight face, although you could tell she was amused. You grinned at them all.
“No, best thing about Z-land No Facebook status updates. You know "Rob Curtis is gearing up for Friday". Who cares.” Columbus added, rolling his eyes.
“Or ‘Already on my third cup of joe this morning!” You chimed in.
Tallahassee, with a playful twirl of the fork in his fingers, added, "The best thing is no more flushing, epic." His statement elicited a collective chuckle from you.
You shook your head at him and smirked. “Of course, you’d sat that,” you mimicked. You squeal as he brings his hand to your waist, giving it a light pinch.
"And the worst thing? About Z-land?” Wichita asked, her eyes grazing over the group.
“You mean other than the fact that I shot Bill Murray?” Columbus asked sadly, looking down at the board, looking for something to occupy his hands.
Tallahassee's gaze remained fixed on the floor as he spoke, “That's easy. Losing Buck,”
“That's his puppy.” Columbus told the girls, gesturing towards him.
“I tell you, I never thought I could love anything like Buck. The day he was born, I just lost my mind.”
“Sorry.” Wichita whispered, her voice heavy with regret at asking the question.
“He had my personality, my laugh, and my appetite,” he continued, the strain in his voice becoming more obvious as he was on the verge of crying. Then it hit you. The pain that was swimming in tears in his eyes, his actions, and his hatred towards the zombies It wasn’t a puppy they took from him. It was his son. Why did it take you so long to realize this?
His soft sobs that he fought to contain drifted through the air, reaching your ears. You felt helpless. You didn’t know how to make him feel better. He reached into his back pocket and pulled out something: “We made this wallet together out of duct tape."
He handed the wallet to you, and in it, you saw two pictures of a young blonde boy. You smiled. He’s adorable, or he was. Asshole zombies. You wanted kids. At least you did before the apocalypse started. Now it seemed like a bad idea. Even though you would love to have a family with Tallahassee. But you weren't sure if he'd want one with you.
“I haven't cried like that since Titanic,” he said, picking up a pile of money to wipe his tears. Tallahassee excused himself from the game and headed upstairs. You then excused yourself and followed him.
You softly knocked on the door before entering. “It’s only me,” you said. When you walked in, he was lying on the bed, hugging the pillow. You went to the other side and lay down beside him, facing him. “I’m sorry, baby."
You wished you could take away his pain, but all you could do was be there for him. You kissed his forehead, whispering words of love and comfort. You looked into his eyes, wet with tears, and saw the depth of his grief. You knew he had lost a part of himself—a part that could never be replaced. You wanted him to know that he was not alone and that you loved him more than anything in the world.
“I know nothing I can do can ever make up for that, but I love you, and you have me forever,” you whispered. Tears welled up in your eyes as you stroked his cheek, wiping away the trail of water left behind by his tears. You wished you could kill them all and wipe them off the face of the earth. You wished you could end this nightmare, this hell.
But you knew that was impossible. You knew that you were outnumbered and outmatched. You knew that you had to keep fighting, keep living, and keep hoping.
You tightened your grip on him, trying to convey your love. You kissed his cheek, his neck, and his shoulder. You whispered words of comfort. You told him that you were sorry, letting him know that you were there for him and you would be through anything.
He smiled weakly at you, squeezing your hand. He thanked you for being there for him, for being his rock and his anchor. He told you that he loved you too and that you were his everything.
He leaned in and kissed you softly and gently. He wrapped his arms around you, pulling you closer to him. He rested his head on your chest, listening to your heartbeat. He closed his eyes and sighed. He felt a flicker of hope in his heart.
You continued to stroke his cheek softly, basking in the warmth of his skin. His eyes fluttered shut, and his breathing was slow and steady. You couldn't help but smile at the sight of him, completely relaxed.
However, your mind was racing with questions and doubts. You had been through so much together, surviving in a world that had been torn apart by a deadly virus. The two of you had formed a bond that was unbreakable.
After a few minutes of internal debate, you decided to voice the question that had been weighing on your mind since you got together. "If the world wasn't the way it was, would you have a family with me?" you asked softly.
There was a moment of silence, and you felt your heart sink.
But then he spoke, his voice barely above a whisper. "Yes, I would," he said. "If we can find a safe place to set up camp and live, maybe we still can."
You couldn't believe what you were hearing, but it seemed impossible in a world where survival was the only goal.
"Do you really think we can?" you asked as his hand moving to rest on your stomach as if something was already growing in there.
He nodded with a determined look in his eyes. "I'll make sure of it," he said, pulling you close and kissing you softly.
As your kiss grew more passionate, you felt like the whole world around you had stopped. His hands slowly left your face and tangled into your hair. As our kiss grew more passionate and desperate, it felt as though time had stopped. Your lips intertwined, speaking what words could never express.
You knew that the future was uncertain, but with him by your side, anything was possible. Tallahassee had become your home, and no matter where you were, as long as you were with him, you knew that you would be okay.
***
9 months later.
You writhed in pain as you lay on your bed, clutching the sheets tightly in your hands. Tallahassee was kneeling by your side, offering words of comfort and support as he guided you through each painful wave. But despite your best efforts, you couldn't help but feel a seething anger building within you. As the minutes turned into hours, your frustration grew with each passing moment.
“God, I hate you!” You screamed at him, squeezing his hand as hard as you could, your nails digging into the rough flesh.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, the moment arrived. With one final push, you gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. Tears streamed down your face as you held your newborn in your arms, your eyes glistening with tears of joy, exhaustion, and overwhelming love. The tiny, fragile life you cradled in your arms represented a glimmer of hope in a world tainted by chaos and uncertainty.
You both gaze down at your newborn daughter, her fragile fingers clutching one of Tallahassee’s. You turned to him, his eyes reflecting a mixture of pride and tenderness, and asked, "What shall we name her?"
Tallahassee, who had been deep in thought, looked up at you with a twinkle in his eye. "I have the perfect name," he said, as his thumb gently stroked the back of your daughter's tiny hand. "Let's call her Dove."
A warm smile graced your lips as your eyes lovingly met those of your beautiful baby girl. "Dove," you whispered softly, "I love it."
And Dove it was. The name suited your little angel perfectly, with her delicate features and pure innocence. You both vowed to love and protect her with everything you had and to give her the best life possible.
With your precious newborn cradled between you, he gently leaned in, pressing a tender kiss to your forehead. “Thank you,”
You took his hand in yours and looked him in the eyes. “We’re not replacing him,” you told him seriously. He squeezed your hand and brought it to his lips, placing a soft kiss on the back.
[You can change the name if you want guys ❤]

Wu’s character development is especially interesting (as far as Ninjago characters go) since the early seasons see him as a somewhat static character: the old, wise, morally righteous, serious mentor figure who occasionally helps deliver a punchline. In the early seasons, he sees some change to both his character and the way the audience perceives his character, but he doesn’t have outstanding, main character level development. In season 5, the audience gets introduced to a different side of Wu as the villain of Morro’s story, but the way it’s told still frames Wu as this wise mentor in order to show why Morro went down the path he did. It (explicitly) emphasises Morro’s pride and pursuit of glory rather than Wu’s recklessness, but I would guess that at this time, it’s because Wu was still meant to be a relatively static character and the writers wanted to maintain his authority.
Even though this revelation isn’t delivered to demonstrate that Wu isn’t as infallible as the audience might have assumed, it does present the idea that Wu has hurt people in the past and that Wu could be considered a villain in a certain point of view. The explanation of how Garmadon came to be infected by the Devourer’s venom is another example along the same lines: at that point in the show, I don’t believe the writers were trying to set up a complex web of perspectives without a true villain, so the venom flashback primarily explains Garmadon’s villainy rather than Wu’s questionable character. Wu does take some accountability for his mistake, but that’s how it’s framed: a mistake, not a sense of wickedness. Also, the idea of Wu’s personal imperfections isn’t immediately elaborated any further, so it isn’t made very important.
In “Never Trust a Human”, the audience is finally introduced to a much more irresponsible version of Wu: the episode, not just a flashback, is dedicated to Aspheera’s transformation into a villain and the fact that Wu was to blame for it. Aspheera’s desire for revenge, her primary motivation, frequently reminds the audience that she had been wronged, which means that somebody had wronged her.
In this way, Wu’s character development is witnessed in reverse, forcing the audience to challenge their assumptions about him (and often Garmadon, by the closeness of their character arcs). The Ninjago writing really leaves something to be desired, and tonight I wish that the Ninjago writers had been able to anticipate how long the show would run so that they could really weave an intricate reverse character arc for Wu (and Garmadon). For all the ninja talk about “full potential”, the show itself really misses out on a lot of good storytelling (but that’s another post. Perhaps 2.).
Since Wu’s development is witnessed in reverse, the statement that Wu is a bad person or a villain is not necessarily true: his wrongs and failings are established after his goodness and mentorship, but they happened first in the show’s timeline. Since his mistakes, he has grown and changed and matured to become a good guy and a good person. It’s easy to perceive Wu as evil and twist his actions into villainy and joke that Wu is the true Ninjago villain, but the fact is that he did make mistakes, but he grew and became a better person because of them:
He refused to take action and retrieve his katana, resulting in Garmadon being bitten by the Devourer. Afterwards, he began to take initiative and act in favor of what he believed was right. Most importantly, he formed the ninja team.
He was irresponsible when he taught Aspheera Spinjitzu, resulting in her turning into a villain. Afterwards, he began to be more careful and take his role more seriously. He led the Elemental Alliance and trained students (one can assume successfully).
He took his role too seriously and overlooked Morro as a person, instead pushing him to become the Green Ninja, where he unintentionally led Morro to believe that he was a liar. In his interactions with the ninja, he acknowledges their personal goals and motives, and most importantly, he conceals the scroll with the prophecy of the Green Ninja to prevent them from going down the same path as Morro.
And of course Wu seems to conceal his wrongdoings (‘ninja, there is something I have not yet told you…’), but one has to keep in mind that he is very old. His past actions are things that he has learned and grown from and the ones from his childhood happened a very long time ago at the time of Ninjago’s main canon. He doesn’t consider them important to mention, because they aren’t, and would only reduce his credibility with the ninja and threaten the team if he just told them all his past faults without good reason.
Tl;dr
Wu isn’t the villain that I see some of the fandom making him out to be.

astrology app for cpn clowning purposes: guess who (post 1)
astrology is a weird thing, i don't use it in my daily life, only in my creative writing endeavours, when I am making "possible character cards", exploring different combination of character traits, challenges and life purposes for the characters, to get out of the box of my own usual thinking
for this i use an app called TimePassages; it makes charts and gives interpretations in terms of talents, life purposes and necessary personal growth
and of course i was curious and i run the birthdays of certain two amazing gentlemen through the app, and i am laughing out loud here, because it is not difficult to tell who is who, is it? i just copied fragments of the text from the app, without adding any of my own interpretations
now, who might this person be?..
The first one:
unique personality, somewhat unworldly, possessing an ethereal quality, a marked remoteness from ordinary reality
very poetic, highly sensitive, intuitive, visionary and creative, inclined to see the beauty and the magic in the world, more inclined to be a dreamer than a doer, he will do well if he trusts himself
inherent spirituality that is displayed in acts of love and caring
artistic and musical talent
beautiful singing voice
good dancer
talent in drama and creative writing
using drama and music to heal the society
very handsome, graceful, elegant, attractive, popular and well-liked
has strong desire for recognition
determined, will achieve much
works well with the public, very aware of collective energies, to an unusual degree tuned in to the energy of the collective, especially with regard to the ultimate transformation of society
will be able to re-work the structure of the society itself in some way
a role model/ idol, may become a leader in the social sphere
excellent thinker, writer, speaker and communicator, quick-witted and glib, with independent opinions
excellent manager, diplomatic and tactful
a very quick learner, loves to learn new things, possesses good judgement
active scientific mind, futuristic in outlook
thinking in symbols, very strong imagination
capable of bringing new ideas into being
friendly, charming and possessing great personal magnetism
loving, kind and nurturing personality, friendly and sociable, generous and high-minded, compassionate and empathetic
excitable, emotional, cheerful and warmly affectionate, softhearted and willing to sacrifice himself for the good of others
youthful, playful, loves kids
tends to suppress powerful feelings that need fuller expression
wilful and passionate
very committed in interpersonal relationships, very idealistic, with a strong sense of duty and loyalty; through the relationship understands himself better; dreams of finding a perfect partner and creating a perfect home life, and wouldn’t settle for anything less
practical in regard of home life, self-reliant and organised
eccentric and strong-willed, unconventional, reckless, rebellious
restless, enthusiastic and very interested in new experiences
active and self-confident
optimistic, positive, determined personality with an ability to develop his powers to the fullest; will transform himself over the course of a lifetime
very strong awareness of values, defiant and oppositional toward unjust authority and oppression
persuasive in a quiet way, can hold his own position in a dispute
humane and just
rich and generous
charitable
a true humanitarian, honorable and dependable in his dealings with his fellow men, driven to service to humanity, helper in the creation of a new world based on humanitarian ideals of universal brotherhood
nervous and impatient
great physical vitality and stamina, wiry and spare physique
athletic and hard-working, needs to be physically active
needs refined environment
will be restricted in his freedom to be who he wants to be
will experience suffering that will lead to being able to heal others
Challenges: control the impulses to make them more concretely available in his own life and in the life of society around him; need to be straightforward and very open with people whom he can really trust. Achieve the balance between the spiritual dimension of reality and ordinary life; develop self-reflection and critical thinking, more conscious control over his mental process. Very important to find ways to be at peace with family and culture, to understand who he really is and to love himself as he is.
I'll put the second one in a separate post

I think it's a slightly amusing coincidence that the guy with a Nazi fetish was collaborating with a man named Herr Gott.
At this point I'm not ruling out Herrgott being a pseudonym or him writing all the 'vibes-based' junk since James was the one doing 'research' (to his credit he was somewhat good at collecting smart people's work).
But I'm hijacking your ask to clear up two misconceptions that have been bothering me:
(big mess of sources and further reading under the readmore)
1- The nazis and fitness essay (one I actually watched and disagreed with) cites multiple sources and is an attempt to retrofit current "masc for masc" grindr culture onto AIDS era fitness "healthy" gay culture (see Gaston as a stereotype) onto multiple a-historical "gay nazis" revisionisms including The Pink Swastika book and a columnist
I think they got the nazi and fitness nonsense from a scholarly sounding source who's just an oxbridge columnist who's into reclaiming nazis. They're famously good at making nonsense sound like a thesis - see Boris Johnson's upcoming book about Shakespeare and his time as a columnist, see the entire Telegraph and various Terf Observer columns: fully trash but written in academic lingo, even queer academic lingo!
and... here's the source: https://www.bbc.com/culture/article/20150324-hitlers-idea-of-the-perfect-body it's the BBC oh look, what's this "Alastair Sooke is art critic of The Daily Telegraph". 🤔🤔🤔
There's a case that the "no fat no fems no chocolate no rice" gay dating culture could possibly be tied to the healthy vs unhealthy infighting during the beginning of the AIDS era but that's a nuanced take that gets smashed to smithereens by lumping it in with gay nazi myths. It also needs to be examined with the attitude to dating apps in general and dating by physical preferences instead of letting chemistry happen by finding people whose goals and outlook match your own.
Terrible essay, terrible premise, some pull quotes from interesting places. Here's an essay about desirability in men, googling "masc 4 masc culture" will get you plenty of articles, you definitely want to look for asian and black writers here because woof they face a lot of racist nastiness under the guise of 'just preferences'.
youtube
and here's
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tom_of_Finland (he's a very important gay artist, he also did some gay erotica with nazi uniforms whether you think that's an act of defiance, reclamation, tasteless or evil is up to you. art is not always as straightforward as it might look, we'd have to ask him what his intent was.)
-----------------------------
2- The second is "the exciting gays died of aids" concept, good vs naughty gays concept. Again, we're dealing with a mishmash of both modern rewritings, quotes by survivors taken out of context, and gay infighting at the time, which included some spicy takes about dangerous sex by gay men fighting to save gay men.
The lack of research and public education led to chaos, the grief led to anger. Beautiful people said some vicious things. There are several older gay men alive right now who don't have sex not because they're asexual but because there's trauma. It's worth unpacking quote by quote because expanding on it without original context was terrible reading comprehension and reckless rewriting of history, and to be honest, a little defamatory. I can't find a bibliography of the video(s) yet so not sure what to debunk).
There are plenty of tumblr posts railing against out of context quotes which is taking James + Nick's bad reading at face value instead of seeking out the source. Outrage at a thing James and Nick made up which was never a real take.
to paraphrase "My well-known exciting boundary-breaking gay friends are dead and the art world hasn't bothered to seek out more undiscovered talent to replace them, choosing the safe classic establishment folks who may also be gay given the field. I'm pissed you didn't care about saving them, I'm pissed you didn't care about finding a new crop of people who push the envelope." that was the sentiment behind this sort of quote even if folks became more conservative (or got into legal messes later)
I'm going to track down the various quotes and give you the full context because this matters. Again: beautiful minds saying horrible things, fighting between gay activists on how to survive or how to live under the gun. This is something that cannot be flattened to "boring gays survived" and it's an insult to the people who said things in grief and fear. I have not watched this essay (or maybe it's two that use this boring vs danger gays concept) but I have a good idea of what out of context quotes might have led to it, this is my wheelhouse. but TL;DR would be my faves are problematic because activists are passionate messy people. They outed people, they said outrageous things for the press, they screamed murderer and got restraining orders against them, they made taboo art, they mingled with nasty people.

I'm going to allow reblogs on this again with the disclaimer that I don't have the full works stolen for these particular essays but the perfect body in gay culture and the good vs bad gays concepts have precedent that got flattened in those video essays and deserve quite a bit more exploration and that includes controversial sources. You will have to do some dialectical reading (agreeing and disagreeing with an author and figuring out how to weigh up the pros and cons of their individual arguments even though they get some things horribly wrong, deciding what was 'of a time' or reading the work of people who became reactionaries later in life).

Oh, lord, don't even get me started on the whole Luca thing. It made literally no sense and they went against so many things they established in canon in earlier seasons.
The biggest part of SWAT's story was Luca/Street bromance. They literally lived together for better part of the show, had a really sweet brotherly dynamic, always there for each other no matter what. You know what we got from the hospital scene? Nothing. Not even so much of a word about where Street was, maybe an excuse why he couldn't make it which while it still would've been lazy writing, it would mean they at least considered the relationships and important people in Luca's life. Which they obviously didn't. Same goes for Chris. Like, we had newer people there waiting in the hospital, but not the likes of Mumford, Rocker, Stevens, other men Luca's been serving with for SO long! Also, no mention of his dad, mom, sister, brother. Nothing!!
I mean I have grievences with how he got shot too bc I feel like it was a cheap cop out for writing out his character in a way that would least anger the public while still somewhat making sense storywise. But, come on... He has been on SWAT for how long? And you're telling me he'd be reckless enough to risk his life going after three heavily armed suspects without backup, gear, anything WITH KELLY right there???
And then the whole thing post-hospital is also a huge question mark. The pacing was so weird, the dialogue felt off... Then his last call and some of the most important people in his career and life are once again missing (I mean, really, not even a cameo?!).
All in all, so many weird decisions and once again, so many better ways they could've gone about this if they had just considered the season as a whole rather than ep by ep. Because that's what this season feels like - bunch of standalone eps tied in together with a paper clip. A plastic one, at that.
I hope they get better writers for s8 or at the very least the ones that don't seem to hate the show and characters with burning passion bc this is 🥴🥴🥴 And much hate to whoever okayed promoting this season with Alex and Kenny being credited as "recurring" instead of what it really was "guest starring". For s8 celebration we should get them a dictionary and circle those words so that they can learn what they mean since they clearly don't.
~🧡
Um??... Woof. (But I love your explanations and reading your thoughts so much!)
Of all the things they could have done for Luca's send-off, they chose that half-baked, poorly written, hot mess of a story??? WHY? And we know Alex was on set for other episodes, so they seriously have no excuse for leaving Street out of his best friend's ending!!!
Did they think that the fans would just ignore the fact that Luca acted completely out of character in the situation leading to the shooting, and that all of his closest friends and comrades weren't there for him? I mean, I know they hate us and him (clearly), but apparently they also take us for fools. You're spot-on in saying that they didn't put any effort into writing his final episodes; in a season of exposition explanations, we didn't even get one for Luca!!
The pacing and the dialogue is what I've heard the most complaints about! "A bunch of standalone eps tied in together with a paper clip. A plastic one, at that" is the most perfect description!!! Even just reading the synopsis of each episode, I've been wondering if the episodes were coherent or connected in any way, like a television series should be, and it sounds like they're not. Since the season was shorter after the un-cancellation, I think they just threw a bunch of ideas into a hat and pulled one for each episode rather than trying to create an underlying thread that could run through all 13 episodes.
Okay, the situation isn't funny, but your last line made me laugh so hard!! One of my favorite things (for some reason) is come up with fake dialogue for the S.W.A.T. writers - what I think they say at the writing table, so I can whole-heartedly agree with your idea to get them and the marketing people a dictionary and explain the difference between "recurring" and "guest starring"! Like you said, getting new writers seems like the only hope for the show. If the show reads a bit different, that would honestly be fine, as long as the writers treated the characters like they deserve and create a show again, not a mod-podged pile of underdeveloped scenes that ignore everything previous seasons have established!
"Hey, guys, what if we take a beloved character, shoot him in front of Kelly because he ran in without thought, and then just rush through his recovery to send him off into the sunset?" In my mind, the S.W.A.T. writers sound like the pilots from the first scene in the Lego Batman Movie.

5. Age 12. I realize, like really realize, that I like (like, like like) both boys and girls. I declare myself a riot grrrl and a punk. I cut my hair hella short; start wearing combat boots, army surplus coats, chains. I want to be Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love, Thurston Moore and Kim Gordon. I still get told I look like a boy. I also get called a dyke for the first time.
6. It’s the early ‘90s. Queerness and androgyny are somewhat accepted for celebrities, but not for regular people, at least not in my mid-sized southeastern Wisconsin town. If you’re at all gender non-conforming or non-heterosexual, you get called a dyke or a fag or a freak or all three, interchangeably.
7. No one believes bisexuality exists. If you say you’re bi, everyone assumes you’re just a homo too scared to fully come out, or you’re a hetero trying to be ‘different.’ Or you’re just an indecisive, greedy slut.
8. Anytime I get a crush on a girl, I write in my journal: Oh, I like girls so much, I must really be gay. Anytime I get a crush on a boy, I write in my journal: Ugggh, boys are so cute, I must really be straight.
9. I start cutting myself. I start smoking. I start writing zines and slam poetry and I start trying suicide.
10. I get called a dyke and a fag and a freak. I throw my lot in with the other misfits. The kids two, three, four years older, and the handful of others my age who get it. The other queer kids, zine-writers, alterna-girls and boys, kids with green hair or shaved heads and nose rings. Theater geeks and Rocky Horror reenactors, bedroom magicians, thriftstore shoppers, delicate cutters, graffiti artists, amateur arsonists, seasoned shoplifters. Riot grrrls and indie rockers, grungy dirtbag skaters, punks and goths and industrial kids, hippies and hardcore hip-hoppers and suburban Rastafarians and all the kids who don’t fit into any one subculture but just love all of it as long as it’s outside the mainstream.
11. Is anyone in the mainstream? RENT will ask, just a couple years later.

Hiya, hope you're having a lovely day^^
Haven't done one of these before, so I hope I don't mess up (And that my request is still valid in-terms of the event end date).
I'd like to request a yan. mash up for TWST & ObeyMe!
I'm 18, my pronouns are they/them, I'm a Cancer and INTJ. I'm a pretty anxious person. Having social anxiety, agoraphobia, being a homebody and just being an overall introvert, I tend to keep to myself and avoid going outside much. Im an over-thinker and a night owl. When I'm around people that I don't feel comfortable with, I'm very much a quiet, shy, jumpy, awkward, paranoid, tired lookin' loner. But when I get comfortable and l'm with close friends or family, I'm quite the opposite. I'm bold, sarcastic, and have a witty sense of humor, I’m a cocky little shit that likes to tease the hell outta people (obv because that's how I show love ^ ^) | can also be reckless at times given the right environment. But aside from that I’m a pretty chill person. I love to learn and indulge in other people’s interests. At times I can be extremely overconfident and daring yet insecure and cautious^^ im also really loyal to everyone I care about, I value community and trust, caring and supportive, the list goes on. As for some of my (debatably) negative traits, I can be quite blunt and straight forward (I don’t like sugar coating ), defensive if I’m proven wrong, I can occasionally be indifferent, passive aggressive, reclusive and aloof if I get pissed/sad (even if it’s for something small). I’ve been told i have rbf •_•). I like cleanliness and neatness, but I can also be somewhat messy when I procrastinate cleaning. Hobbies: I love drawing, I have a crap ton of sketchbooks that are filled with drawings front to back, and some that have never seen a pencil before ^^; (I have my fair share of twst and obey me fan art =w=). Reading, reading, and ReaDing! I’m a book worm^^ i mostly read horror, thrillers, and mystery novels. Also, I’m incredibly obsessed with gothic literature and poetry (I’m a bit of a writer myself). I live for horror! Movies, books, shows, etc. I specifically like psychological, cosmic, and gothic horror. Music wise, I listen to rock, metal, alternative, indie rock, post-punk, and new wave. Though I’ve recently been more into 80’s post-punk (as of right now my fav band is Caifanes, definitely recommend them). Style: I don’t usually care much for the way that I look, i prefer comfort over style most of the time. I usually ware black, anime t-shirts, baggy jeans, leather jackets or oversized hoodies, and my go-to converse or docs. I dunno what else to include, so I guess I’ll talk about what kind of person I like. I like it when people can be honest and voice their feelings, concerns, wants and needs. I definitely appreciate a proper and mature way of communicating. My receiving and giving love language is quality time and physical affection, so having someone who loves to receive and give both is an immediate green flag in my book. I personally like clingier personalities to a healthy degree, I swear ^^; I definitely love people who are openly lovey and romantic, I find it adorable, especially cause I’d do the same right back. A person who loves to try new things, and who loves spicy food (cuz being a picky eater,,, that’s a deal breaker). I like someone who shares my same hobbies and is just as ambitious as me. And if not, that they at least support and encourage me to do what I like. Personality wise, I like a person who is soft and caring, romantic, honest, noble, creative, humble, cautious, a night owl (so that me can both stay up late into the night) someone more mentally stable then me (that or just as mentally unstable as me =^=) and lastly someone who would also indulge in my hobbies with me. I hope I added enough of the right things for this request and that it’s not confusing >x< it’s long I know. Anyways, thank you so much for your work, I love everything you write, hope to see more of it. Take care love ^,^)/♡
I have no words to explain why this took months. I don't know, but better late than never. . .right? You probably heard this before and it won't come as a surprise but I match you with Idia (TWST) and Levi (OM!)!
When it comes to what I gathered from your personality, you probably relate to them more instead of simping but I see you with them! Side note, I WANT TO BE YOUR FRIEND OMG YOU SOUND SO COOL?? I ALSO WANT TO SEE THE ART PLS! PLS LET'S BE FRIENDS!
Moving forward...I see how they would both love you. You love their hobbies but understand them like nobody else. With Idia, his love for you starts when you start to open up about your hobbies. He probably starts to think about you but not in the best way at first. When he notices you like the same things but he probably wouldn't see them as a reason to get closer. He may find it as an excuse to not approach you because he's not sure if you're a casual fan or a fan-fan. Would you be disgusted with him? Find him as one of those cringe fans who bring the fandom down. Are you a casual enjoyer who wouldn't understand his passion? Though he would love to share his passion, would you look down upon him like everyone else? I'm not quite sure if I included this in my headcanons, but Idia is an observer. Which I think makes him open up to you because he can see the real you. I want to say that if we follow the story of the game, you probably don't meet Idia until after you established some friends with Ace and Deuce. He probably has some image of you already established, no doubt you're very social. When you mentioned how you were someone very shy and quiet when first meeting someone, you probably do it to be nice or at the very least, respectful. He probably sees that side of you at first and doesn't think much of it. He probably thinks that his likes and dislikes would scare you away until he overhears maybe Deuce or Ace talk, "You like that? I never would have expected you to like that, [Reader]?" That's when he gains a little boost, you like the same thing he does. Not to mention you're a shy thing, so no harm in at least trying. I think once he finally does talk to you, he can see all the unique things about you as well as how similar you both are. Idia is the same, spoilers for the phantom bride card but he hated the whole ordeal. In his vignette, the rest of the students hyped him up so much that he kinda got overconfident making everyone regret saying anything. He didn't do it to be a bitch, but rather he said it because he was comfortable around the others. Who wouldn't? So he would return that sarcastic humor. He would probably love teasing the hell out of you. Stay up all night gaming with you, exchanging messages left and right, etc. I can already imagine the list of recommendations that both of you exchange. He would love seeing your art and hype you up, maybe even propose writing a story together. Of course, this is yandere so what is yandere without the horror aspect? Idia wouldn't exactly show you off but he would be so content with calling you, his. His friend, his S/O, his partner, his gaming buddy, etc. He's not like Leona who would strut into the room with his arm around your shoulder, but he would love it when you say, "Oh yeah, sorry I can't tonight. I'm hanging out with MY partner tonight." Of course, don't tell the others it's him because right now he can't handle that feeling! He would love spending quality time, he's not at all picky with what is being done as long as it's with you. Watching anime together? Done deal. He's gaming and you're working on something else across from him? God imagine he looking up to see you so focused, he just smiles lightly at the idea of you spending time with him and then you look up and see him. His face is BEAT RED, stuttering and looking back at his PC while his headphones have his online friends yelling at him to pay attention and to assist them. He's clingy to a not-so-healthy degree and will often set up scenarios to gain pity so you have to cancel and hang with him. I want to say that while his heart cannot handle the affection IRL he would love the idea of holding your hand and cuddling against you. Imagine he's pouting because he maybe received the worst news, but you're there to comfort him? His world is perfect if your attention and affection remain on just him and him only.
Okiedoki, now Levi. They're the same but so different.  As I started to play Obey me again and literally from the beginning, I love their family dynamic. Though they all love each other, they're not afraid to tell each other their faults either. I think with Levi it's no surprise that he sees himself as inferior to his siblings. I mean Mammon is scummy but he's a model. Asmo has a vlog and is well-loved even if it gets to his head. Satan is hella studious and has a temper, Belphie is just there and Beel; he has a good heart but his stomach knows no bounds. No need to point out Lucifer, he's polished and pristine, with no flaws that he can vocalize without being strung upside down.
I mean why would you want to be with him? Like Idia, when he finds out you like the same content he does he's probably on the skeptical side as well. I mean, really? Do you like that? When he finally does talk to you about it, he wants to prioritize your time. "[Reader], did you want to-? Oh sorry, you probably already have plans huh?" It's no doubt he assumes you rather want to do anything else other than be with him. When you take him up on his offer, he's so overcome with joy. A blush on his face as he excitedly takes your hand rushing to his room to do the equivalent of setting up the table but rather dinner, setting up an anime marathon. He is smitten with you, another one with a not-so-healthy clingier personality. Another one who just wants to spend time with you, it doesn't have to be anything specific either. I think as time goes on he can become confident too, sometimes even challenging you, He becomes sarcastic, occasionally laughing at memes and sending them to you with a simple "reminded me of you". I think the biggest thing is that Levi could be 100% honest with you. At first, he may not want to voice his feelings, but when you reassure him, he just lets it all out. Though Levi may not love horror himself, he loves your style and appreciates your passion as well. He thinks you're so cool and to be able to stand next to you, gosh you have ways of getting to him. He would proudly march his ass to a movie theater to watch the scariest film as long as he can hold your hand during the entire movie. Let's talk about yanderes, he's the same with Idia where he would 100% say something that forces you to drop what you're doing to spend time with him. Another is, I like to think Levi has been on some sketchy websites, spreading rumors about people who approach you. When those rumors as well as "proof" start circling, you should stay away from them. I stand by the idea that the brother would help one another to keep their S/O trapped. Levi may ask of Asmo's services when digging up gossip and possibly Belphie's to stalk the victim in their sleep and torture them from the inside. While all this happens, Levi will continue to play the role of the perfect boyfriend.
I hope you enjoyed your matchup!! Thank you for your continuous support, have a wonderful day!

BIOGRAPHY (abridged)
mari's parents are the definition of opposites attract - rinji nakamura, a famous crime author from a family of well-respected journalists, is a quiet man, reclusive and sensible. ariane auclair, a socialite turned model turned one-time actress (an erotic thriller that was critically panned) from a wealthy family of her own, is reckless, and outgoing, and more than a little vain. no one really knows how they met or why they got together, but they did, and they had mari.
she was always closer to her father, who would let her stay in his study while he wrote. she would lie on the floor reading, or drawing, and eventually writing along with him. she declared that she wanted to be a writer when she was seven.
the circumstances surrounding mari's mother being cut out of her parents' will are somewhat shrouded in mystery. what's common knowledge is that ariane borrowed A LOT of money from them over the years, and got away with it for a long time as she was the baby of the family. when they eventually chose to confront her about this, however, there was an argument that turned pretty nasty — no one knows exactly what was said, but ariane made some below the belt remarks so damning that she was cut off.
the nakamuras moved into a smaller house, sold overseas properties, and mari started to attend a much cheaper private school. neither her nor her father were remotely bothered by this. in fact, it was refreshing. she learns from her peers, visiting places that real people go to and discovering the value of money that isn’t endless. in stages, she grows to detest where she came from, and her own family most of all.
despite now being social pariahs, they were still invited to the occasional family gathering (she suspects solely so they can be gossiped about). in the summer before her second year at meraviglia, oleander's family invited them to stay for a week. after six days of passive aggressive comments and thinly veiled insults, mari snapped.
during a party the day before they were due to leave, she slipped into oleander's mother's dressing room and tried her luck with the safe, correctly guessing the code after a few attempts (her son's date of birth — really, she was asking to get robbed) and stealing the marchesa diamond.
the act of stealing their precious diamond was not about acquiring something of worth, but about taking it away from them. she told as much to professor dupont, who seemed amused by her story as she detailed scouting the room for security cameras, an awkward encounter with a maid as she exited her guest room flushed with pride, rejoining the party with no one having noticed she’d left.
mari doesn't particularly like dupont – he’s far too much of an entitled snob for her taste – but as a child raised on mysteries, there is a certain appeal to the whole situation that gives her a quiet thrill. it’s why, in spite of her feud with caper, she was so willing to team up with them again in order to solve it. it’s harmless fun that allows her to get close to one of her best friends again, but she can’t deny that she would like to find out what happened to him.
HEADCANONS
since her family was cut off from her grandparents, mari has become something of a kleptomaniac. she never steals anything too valuable (with one notable exception, of course), usually just small trinkets that people might not notice are gone, but over the years she’s amassed quite a collection. pieces that were stolen years ago are displayed around her apartment like trophies. more recent acquisitions are kept locked in the bottom drawer of her desk.
she lives alone in a small apartment off campus. it’s notoriously disorganised, with mugs, papers and clothes scattered across every available surface, and books stacked precariously in towering piles on the floor. though she makes efforts to tidy it all up every once in a while, she actually quite enjoys the mess, as it makes her feel like a real writer.
at any given time, mari is working on several writing projects. a book of poetry, a one-woman play, a collection of essays. her favourite, however, is a biting satirical novel about wealthy families and hubris (think knives out).
one of her best qualities is that she’s unfailingly generous. most frequently seen materially – always more than happy to pick up a tab or give away books or clothes because ‘I read this and it reminded me of you’ or ‘it would look better on you anyway’. to those she's closest to, she’s also generous with her time, and is extremely dependable if you need someone to show up in an emergency.
mari doesn’t particularly like parties, but will attend the occasional gathering with the idea of finding some inspiration. every so often, however, she’ll feel the need to blow off some steam and will overindulge in whatever’s available. it’s also not uncommon to find her drinking on her own in an evening, or smoking a joint on her rickety balcony.
truth be told, she’s kind of a gossip. It’s not intentional, or through any ill will, she just enjoys the basic principle of acquiring and passing on knowledge. particularly grave or serious topics discussed with close friends she knows to keep private, but if you decide to tell her about someone you have a crush on, you’re running the risk of that person knowing within the week.
she’s surprisingly gifted at forging handwriting, a skill her friends are welcome to utilise if they ever need it.
music is something that mari treats with almost as much reverence as she treats the written word. she has curated playlists for every possible mood or activity you can imagine (motivational, shower, despondent, angry, cooking, sex), and uses them to fuel and inspire her writing. (however, she also has a penchant for true crime podcasts. she blames her father for this.)
speaks japanese, french, english, and italian fluently. she enjoys reading books in all four languages and comparing the way similar concepts are treated so differently, but her own writing is usually in japanese or french.
she has all of her father’s books preserved carefully on a shelf, and reads them whenever she misses him.

Nexo Knights Hogwarts Houses
As I was contemplating fandoms that need more love, the thought came to mind about the Nexo Knights' Houses. So-here's my headcanon.
Clay-Slytherin.
Slytherin is the house of ambition-something Clay shows a LOT of. He strives to be the perfect Knight, using any means to get to that point, even if it is to his own detriment. Maybe it's because of his humble beginnings and the chance to be something great, something more. Whatever it is, he has a lot of qualities for Slytherin.
Macy-Gryffindor
She was difficult to place, but the reason I placed her in Gryffindor is because she's basically a snowball of courage and daring. She could've listened to her father and stayed with the normal royal studies (Which,if it is anything like ours,is a little ridiculous),but she was determined to continue. She also shows a lot of recklessness when it comes to planning, determined to just get out there and be the knight.
Axl-Hufflepuff
He was pretty hard to place too, considering the writers didn't write him as anything more than the gentle tank of the group with the stomach to maybe rival the Marianas Trench. But-I personally feel like he's a Hufflepuff. Like Clay and Macy, he originally was told he wasn't allowed to become a knight by his father. But-the difference is,where Clay basically pushed himself to his limits daily to prove himself, and Macy argued until she got it, Axl actually got his father to agree by defending him from bandits, showing loyalty. Like I said though-the writers made him without much depth (Which I will change in my writing),so there might be somethings that make him make of some other house.
Aaron-Gryffindor
Quite literally,in the show,Merlok points out that he and Clay noticed his daring. He's also a good candidate for Slytherin,as he's resourceful and good at adapting, but, honestly I feel like Gryffindor is more his suiting. Especially considering his recklessness, and somewhat less ambition compared to Clay and Macy.
Lance- Hufflepuff
Weirdly enough, his wiki page has more on his personality than almost anyone elses. Again,I was tied between Hufflepuff and Gryffindor,as he really cares for his teammates in his own way but is also fronts as arrogant to hide insecurity. But,Hufflepuff won out because he always,in the end, anyways, puts his team first. And Hamletta,of course.
Merlok 2.0-Ravenclaw
I think this way better version of Dumbledore is in Ravenclaw-mainly due how he just has knowledge in his brain and,at one point, his library (The poor library😭). He gains knowledge for the knowledge, not for the glory.
Ava Prentis- Ravenclaw
Same reason as Merlok, with the addition of the fact that she just strikes me as a Ravenclaw. (I hate it when I can't go in depth about it though...)
Robin Underwood-Gryffindor
THIS one was easy,no brainer. Robin has shown time and again his ambition to be on the field, and even though he knows the risk,is brave enough to just say shuck it and make his own way there, even if it's reckless for his age.
Jestro-Gryffindor.
He honestly deserves more love, because! This poor guy! His anxiety levels are through the roof! *Cough* Anyways-I feel like he's a Gryffindor. He's the Neville Longbottom of the Nexo Knights.

Currently (or maybe soon) Reading Novels, some thoughts:
I'm currently reading In The Dark volume 1. My thoughts so far: they're a good writer, not my favorite though (priest is still pretty easily the favorite of mine style wise), but I do like the fast pacing of this novel and the way the author moves things along. Both me, and priest, sometimes dawdle in a scene for ages soaking it up, which is fun to read but also thats how you get the 4000 character chapters priest writes ToT (and the 3000-5000 words a scene i often write). So this writer is inspiring me to try and be more casual about my writing as far as just moving forward, not caring so much about perfect in depth ness. Plot wise? Mixed. So far its fairly basic, with the tell tale signs of general tropes like traditionally pretty leads and heroic detectives with playboy vibes. After priest its just hard to adjust... priest makes Such specific characters, even when they fall in some trope categories theyre so unique you'd not swap them with any other similarly trope having character or it would feel wrong. Like Luo Wenzhou is heroic detective playboy, but his history (of failed dating) hangs off of him heavy, his nurturing protective loyal to a fault colors every decision he makes (from getting to attached to fei du, clingy to tao ran, blind to superiors being shady, and trusting of mentor's children even if crime adjacent or involved until its IN his face), his controlling leadership style seeps into interactions with everyone from his parents to best friend to boss to coworkers to barely adjacent witnesses. His character faults (and unique aspects i love) are so intrinsic to him i could never mistake him for zhao yunlan Another Playboy Rich Dad Heroic Detective. Zhao yunlan isnt controlling, he is more level headed in viewing people with the facts before letting loyalty blind him, zhao yunlan is far WORSE at self care and nurturing of others and when he does help others its motivated by charm or kindness first (versus Luo Wenzhous ingrained normal state is nurturing, he finds it feels safe, lets him control making sure others have X things they need and provide routine to help them, hes a mother hen). Luo Wenzhou is quite aware of his economic status, his family backgrounds, comparative to his employees, comparative to fei du, just a general much higher awareness of how those differences affect everyone (from it being too hard to ever get custody of fei du as a possibly abused child, because luo is unrelated and too poor to challenge custody with a CEO, to the way hes aware he can abuse powers in certain ways that his underlings cant... so he stands up to authority more with an awareness hes got more room to negotiate). Zhao Yunlan is more reckless amd uncaring if there are consequences as long as he does the right thing (though he has status to somewhat protect him), while lup wenzhou is actually viscerally aware of risks at all time and despite being passionately kind and believing in justice... he is aware if hes not careful as he acts, then the effort is wasted and he will fail and no one will be helped. Luo wenzhou is much cooler headed and less passion motivated than zhao yunlan (though zjao yunlan isnt as simple as hot headed as hes got inherent power and intuition and ftankly Can Afford to be riskier). My point is... priest can give me multiple characters that would be summarized under the same tropes and be vastly different in actual personality. In The Dark? So far its not giving me much to make its characters stand out compared to say the intro to Breaking Through The Clouds ive read. Nor is its case. But time will tell. I need good characters though or i get bored.
I will say though, In The Dark so far succeeds at feeling like a detective novel aimed at murder mystery readers With queer characters, rather than being a BL with a murder mystery side plot. Theres 3 queer characters within the first few chapters, so no stupid "im not gay except for him" and a realism to handling queer characters that feels nice. Its similar to MoDu in that way, so im anticipating a solidly written murder mystery with queer characters as major players.
Novels Im considering reading (so any thoughts? Suggestions??): liehuo jiaochou, the positive? Its kind of mutants in the present plot, which is one of my favorite plots and what sucked me into Guardian the drama. Since i loved xmen and qnything with an xmen like premise will make me interested. Also, theres an ancient guy in it, so i like the themes possibly of past compared to present, beliefs clashing, moving forward. Can ci pin: i know im going to like it, the downside is its SO long im not sure im up for it right now. 2ha: i never finished it and own 3 of the print books now, so i know ill like it and i love meatbuns writing. Downside? Its SO LONG also i kind of want to read something new, and the first 100 chapters would be rereading. Peach Blossom Debt: i own it now, i heard Etetnal Love sort of ripped it off so im curious if pbd is better... because i basically hated and hate watched Eternal Love... but i saw the potential in some of it, and it was very queer friendly suprisingly for a bg romance drama. Imperial Uncle: i heard it was great, i think edanglars translated it so love that for me. Tai Sui by priest: i heard its amazing, but its very long so im not sure i qm up for it now. Guardian: see heres the thing. Ive read 20% in chinese. Its slow going. But im 1/5 through it so im kind of commited to finishing it in chinese. Its taking ages but ive just been picking qt it, im unlikely to read it any faster frankly, and im unlikely to touch the english copy at this point until im done with the chinese so i can have fun comparing the translation to the original. Also i need to reblog the Kunlun intro i translated, because its in my chinese print copy but they did not include it in the english translation :/ i hope they include the shen san extra in the english translation eventually. But im bummed theyre not including everything. Jinse by priest: i heard it was good, im glad its short, but not sure hpw into the plot ill be. Sha po lang: i just want the drama to live... i want tan jianci.... anyway. I want to read it and i know ill like historical steampunk... but im in a murder scary stories supernatural mood lately, so murder mysteries like In The Dark and supernatural like Guardian are just wayyyy easier for me to focus on and read right now.

Happy Storyteller Saturday! Which of your characters is the least like you and why do you like them despite your lack of similarities?
Thank you for the Ask, @lassiesandiego!
I'm one of those writers who likes to say that most of my good characters have a small "piece of myself", except for most villains of course, as it makes writing them much easier and allows me to understand their motives better!
That being said, I would say that, out of all my main WIPs, the characters that are the least like me are: Azra Moorsworth (The Last Wrath), Faellyn Ellara (Tales of Wilted Flowers), and Clarence Van Sterlling (Enchanted Illusions).
DISCLAIMER: What is listed under "differences" is merely a comparison between my characters and my own personalities. Neither traits are "right" nor "wrong", as I am simply stating the contrasts between me IRL and the characters I have created for my stories! (:
Now, as for why they're so different from me and why I like them despite the personality differences!
AZRA MOORSWORTH -
(Differences) - Azra is much meeker/insecure than my personality - he prefers to avoid conflict (by "conflict" I don't mean fights, but facing challenges and things that get him out of his comfort zone), and is much more extroverted than me - I could never dream of reaching his level of extrovertedness. If we were to use the Enneagram to define this difference in personality, Azra is a Type 4 (the Individualist), while I am a Type 8 (the Challenger), having fundamentally different outlooks as well!
(Why I Like Him) - Azra is an incredibly positive character, especially when it comes to cheering others up and making sure everyone around him is having a good time - traits that I aspire to try and improve in my personality as well. He is also selfless when need be, despite all his fears, personality and instincts telling him to run the other way he chooses to stand for what he and his siblings believe in if that is truly necessary, despite the dangers and cruelty of the world he lives in. He is, fundamentally, a cinnamon roll, and one of the purest characters in TLW when it comes to a moral compass - I can't help but adore him!
FAELLYN ELLARA -
(Differences) This is a curious one, as she does share similarities with me, but not nearly as much as the other members of the main cast. I would say that the main difference between her and me is that Faellyn is incredibly forgiving - even when she should not be, too forgiving for her own good - and has a patience level that I aspire to have one day. Believes in the best in other people, even when other people have proven her wrong. Her Enneagram is Type 7 (The Enthusiast)
(Why I Like Her) Honestly, what's not to like? She's sweet, funny, bubbly, and has a great sense of justice! Despite being impulsive and reckless at times, she has an ongoing drive to do what is right for others, especially for those she cares about. She has a big heart, and is almost always the smile in the room! She's diplomatic and intelligent, as well as tricky when it matters. I also find it incredibly endearing and satisfying to write and show how much she grows throughout the story, becoming more mature and wise without losing the merciful and sweet side that makes her who she is.
CLARENCE VAN STERLLING -
(Differences) While I am somewhat introverted, I would say that he is 1000% more introverted than me. Clarence is very quiet, preferring not to talk as much, and liking extended periods of being by himself - while, in comparison, I am very talkative to those I consider my friends, and don't quite feel comfortable in extended periods of solitude. Another key difference is that, due to his vampiric upbringing, Clarence is also very naive/sheltered as to the ways of the world, being almost (if not completely) clueless as to how the human world and its inhabitants work. Clarence is firmly an Enneagram 1.
(Why I Like Him) He is very endearing and polite, and despite not really understanding all the new human things surrounding him he tries his best not to be rude or scary towards anyone, despite having the ability to do so. Clarence is also intelligent, wickedly clever, and something of a prankster if given the chance! Honestly, writing about him navigating the human world with the help of his newfound friends and his sorcerer girlfriend, is one of the most adorable things I have written!
I hope this answers your questions! (:

venom: the mace.....well. I WAS happy to see beck & the undergrounders again, except this particular iteration feels any characterization from "the madness" was entirely forgotten. like the characters are just written very weirdly and it doesn't jive with the other series At All to me, even though the ground base of the plot sounds fun. I love the concept of exploring how Eddie & venom's peculiar set of morals interact with what actually protecting the people of the underground means; except this particular iteration is both somewhat incomprehensible and joyless.
the conflict of this version of venom is that they want to help people, but they're both stupid and reckless, and don't actually want to sit down and think about what the ramifications of any given action are. this makes sense as beck's frustration with them, but I think the whole romantic angle kind of....ruins it, because now the comic is more concerned with showing Eddie as a Viable Love Interest instead of dealing with any of this; her criticizing him has to be framed as further romantic rejection, instead of a request for self awareness, for less obliviousness...(which could still be viewed as a kind of rejection! but it doesn't feel genuine because of the following point)
and Eddie can't be stupid; he has to actually be Cool and Masculine (so Beck will think he's sexy) instead of the self aware writing we had in lp where it's clear that both Eddie and venom have misguided senses of self and the story pokes fun at it. It knows both the writer and audience know that venom and Eddie are woefully off-track, but we want to see where they go anyway. Mace wants you to see them as not just sympathetic, but cool in that dark, edgy way. which is exactly why I liked the first venom story: it didnt try that.
they're oblivious to the destruction they cause, but utterly gleeful while doing so; they do all of this wholly sincerely. the story may poke at irony, but venom and Eddie do not. & As I've learned with superheroes and all related stories, that is ALWAYS at conflict with coolness. being cool AND sincere is apparently an impossible feat for any writer, and they will always choose having their main dude "seeming cool" over having consistent characterization. (I would also say this sincerity is why venom is not a full villain and they even get to live in the underground in lp at all. because they sincerely believe they're doing good, even with massive destruction and death in their wake. so to have it weirdly down-played, to have them just kind of be a Solemn Brooding Hero-Type With A Genuine Miscommunication......is very, very strange.)
anyway. so. didn't love it. it was bad

hey there! junhee’s writer here ready to drop his little character study or profile here. if you want a tiny glimpse (and hopefully helpful) peek into his life, click here or check out what’s underneath the cut!
yu junhee was born and raised in banpo-dong found in seocho district.
was considered part of the upperclass tier of society, third generation of his family’s wealth that stemmed off jewels.
now is considered middle class or lower because his father had committed fraud, was a tax evader and was sued by clients who ended up being victims of his little act. was convicted and might’ve forgotten to tell his family that they found themselves in debt just when junhee was on his second year of university.
his family continues to keep ties together, but junhee in particular feels somewhat estranged from his dad because he feels like his own dreams had been cut short because of the crisis.
he’s not your average salty boy that spites on his father though. despite his personal dislike towards him, he manages to fake a smile whenever he’s brought up, keep it all in and say it all on his own later on. definitely the kind of guy that keeps a lot of things in, despite the largest smile on his face.
currently been working multiple jobs, or taking as much jobs as he can to have savings on his own since he can’t rely on his parents as much anymore; so he’s really one workaholic just so he could consider himself stable somehow, not worrying about the payment for his apartment.
that said, he’s pretty charismatic and a genuine extrovert thanks to his time working at the bar and how he was brought up. pretty good with words and socializing that most people would say that it’s easy to open up to him, that most of the time they just ‘click’.
as for plots, i’m bigger on brainstorming together rather than writing out a set and specific plot for you to pick out from though. kind of thrive off being on the edge not expecting what comes next, except for the drama, of course — gotta make sure we plot that out, have consent and all that good fun. here’s a few general ones that i do have in mind though!
childhood friends, maybe even people he considers best friends. have someone who’s genuinely friends with him, those friends that used to be friends with him just for the name and the benefits and once that’s gone they were too, the friend that pities what happens to him that’s why they stay friends, and a whole lot more.
maybe some snotty rich people he used to be in the circle with taunting and picking on the guy because he’s practically broke now.
the friend that helped him get back on his feet, maybe showed him that opportunity at a bar or helped him get his apartment.
someone he finds that sense of ‘stability’ with, maybe platonic, a reckless flirtationship, maybe a little more but definitely not a relationship. thinking that this might be a little toxic, but we’ll see.
