No Saviors Dynamics ♡ Bane "The Wolf"

Free: Love of his life. Not really, but he loves them deeply. They teach each other to be better wolves by showing each other a different way to be a wolf than the way that they knew their entire lives. He has had to take in many wolves, but he recognizes Free as the most important one. There's no wolf that he holds in higher regard, and if Free ever butt heads with someone else on a serious note, he has Free's back.

Shani: She doesn't pay him much attention, but he really likes her. She makes him think of a better humanity. Growing up in the Wastelands, he didn't know too many people outside of his own who were good people. Fighting and scraping made people less kind. But, Shani has always been kind to him, and he's never had to make her feel safe, because she never had any discomfort with him. She doesn't know that he feels that way, but it is one of the reasons that he respects her leadership, despite being used to being the one in charge before he met her. (He also thinks that she would fuck a werewolf, so she intrigues him in that way, as well).

Atlas: He doesn't trust him and is far more cautious when he's around. Bane is the most trusted wolf on the grounds, both by the wolves he brought in with him and by the wolves that have been rescued from kennels by Savior... None of the wolves that have had to cross paths with Packmaster have had anything positive to say, prior to his turning sides to be on their side. Most of them are terrified of him, and that makes Bane leery of him, even though he realizes that being in The Kennel changes the mindset of a wolf.

Riggs: He has heard so many tales about Riggs that he has created a version of him in his mind and interacts with that wolf, instead of the one that he knows. Eventually, he'll maybe get used to him, but for now, he thinks of Riggs as a bubbly wolf with gullible questions and an adorable aloofness about most things that everybody else cares about. But, if Riggs was ever just truly having a bad day, Bane would likely be the first wolf to reach out to try to comfort him, as is Bane's nature as a pack master of his own.

I think its nice to imagine that people like the Vanguard and other allies are aware of just how much they ask of The Wolf and the size of responsibility that sits on their shoulders to always be “The God Killer”, but they don’t have any other option to send to handle the absolute most important tasks, so they do stuff in the background to try to lighten the load however they can because they all hold some degree of concern for the Wolf and their wellbeing. I just get tired of the trope “Hero asked to do everything and nobody makes an effort to help.” What do you think?

I think, at first, people didn't realize, but there most certainly came a point where it was unavoidable to acknowledge that... this shouldn't be happening. Especially not to someone so young.

People do try to relieve some of the stress, though. Sparring with Saladin, trips through the City with the Bird Boys, trading duties with Shaxx, meditations with Osiris and Ikora, Crow tries to take some of their patrols, Zavala forces them to take days off, Cayde used to makes silly bets with them and now Crow does the same, tea times with Devrim and Hawthorne, helping babysit the hatchlings and more Splicer lessons with Misraaks-

but it's... it's still hard. They can't avoid their work forever.

Nothing can make their job easy, though part of that is their own fault. Their friends do their best to drag Wolf out of their self-inflicted work, but alot of it is necessary (though, not to such a degree as to excuse the amount Wolf takes on anyway).

Not much can be done to avoid events like Savathun, or Calus, and they all know the Witness will be on Wolf's shoulders, too. But that doesn't mean people don't try to help them wherever possible.

#none of it stops Wolf from feeling alone though. Not that that can be helped #With a job like theirs? It's inevitable #They all try their best though #the young wolf #i wish Bungie would do more with the relationships they have with other characters #I think it would make everything - Amanda's death. Crow's trust in them. The Baron looked at Gabriel longingly. He almost had to convince himself. Maybe this time would be different. Maybe this time, nobody would have to die. But he was so used to this failing he didn’t want to put his hopes up too high. Gabriel was beautiful, his red hair flared around him like a lions mane. One touch couldn’t hurt? Right? He cautiously reached out to move a strand of hair from Gabriel’s face, careful not to wake him. He was of supernatural blood. This was going to work, Friedrich told himself . With a sigh, he rose up from the side of the bed he was sitting at and began to walk away when he felt someone pulling him back.

A soft, sleepy “Friedrich?” came from Gabriel’s mouth. He stood frozen, not expecting to be caught. “What are you-“ came the sleepy voice again. He had to think of an excuse. Fast. Not wanting Gabriel to see that he caught him by surprise, he turned around. “I didn’t mean to wake you, I apologize. I wanted to check up on you.” Smooth. Good comeback.

“..oh”

“I’ll leave you be now. Get some rest mein engel.”

And then a word he didn’t expect. “..stay?” Every instinct in his body wanted to. He wanted to stay. Wanted to feel Gabriels arms around him. He hoped Gabriel couldn’t see the conflict going on in his heart.

“I -“

“Please?”

I don’t know anything about Teen Wolf, I just got a bunch of edits about Stiles so I obviously searched for more fan content (edits, youtube compilations, and fanfics)

Can someone (anyone) pls tell me why he gets shipped with people who are YEARS older than him??!!!!

Like okay Derek I can maybe excuse (not rlly but it’s the least worst in what i’ve seen)

What is up with him and Chris Argent ( who is apparently his best friend’s gf’s DAD) HE is a FATHER!!!
