Character Intro: Selene (Kingdom of Ichor)

Location- Elis, Olympius

Personality- In contrast with her twin brother's flashy and outlandish demeanor, Selene is much more timid. She has a classy regal-like flair & is also passionate, sensual, and loyal- to her family. She's married.

As the Titan goddess of the moon, she's essentially "retired" from official duties (that has gone to Artemis), but she has powers/abilities like chronokinesis (divine control over time), umbrakinesis, and photokinesis, as it pertains to moonlight. She can also communicate with/shapeshift into nocturnal animals.

Being a romantic, Selene had her fair share of love affairs, most notably with Pan (god of the wild, satyrs, shepherds, & rustic music) and Zeus (god of the sky, thunder, & lightning). This all changed when she had her heart stolen by Endymion, a mortal man who was a shepard. They exchanged hundreds of letters and love poems for a while before they officially met in secret. They made love for the first time in a cave. When it was found out, it turned into a huge disaster with Zeus, still feeling bitter over the breakup, cursing him. After a "sit-down" with Selene, her parents, Zeus, and Hera (goddess of women & marriage)- the curse was ultimately lifted.

Her go-to drink is a diamond blue cocktail (a drink made with champagne, creme de violette, blue curacao, & a bit of lemon juice). She also likes martinis, rum & cokes, cola, hot chocolate, as well as champagne. Her usual from The Roasted Bean are a medium dark chocolate mocha & a blueberry açai splash.

Her favorite dessert is malpua, drizzled with honey. Theia makes them for her. She also likes the blueberry baklava from Hollyhock’s Bakery & cookies n’ cream ice cream sundae from The Frozen Spoon.

She absolutely loves her wedding ring- an oval shaped halo blue sapphire ring.

Selene & Endymion live in the state of Elis, in a mansion that was paid for by her parents. It's almost entirely built out of moonstone. The interior has colors of silver, gray, white, and blue, with lots of velvet and suede furniture. Her husband is still suffering from the after effects of the curse- becoming more lethargic and apathetic. Selene's mom believes he's using the curse as a crutch to be a "freeloading, self-indulgent bum." She still owns her beloved moon chariot! They own many cats as pets in addition to the two immortal silver white horses that used to pull her chariot!

She has 25 kids- all girls, with her husband so far- a single birth, two sets of fraternal quintuplets, two sets of identical triplets, two sets of fraternal twins, and four single births. She loves dressing them up in extravagant silks & sarees. They often do embroidery together. Selene tries not to play favorites when it comes to her girls and she tries to spend time with them individually as well as together as a family. She has on occassion given more attention to her daughters that don't have godly powers/abilities.

She wishes she was a bit more closer to her younger sister, Eos (Titaness of dawn), as they don't hang out much. She has also gotten to know her niece Circe (goddess of sorcery). Selene has been a mentor to Artemis (goddess of the hunt & moon) and she does like her mother Leto (Titaness of demurity & motherhood). Selene's also friends with Astraeus (Titan god of dusk), Hesperis (goddess of the evening & sunset), Aion (god of time, eternity, & the zodiacs), Felis (Titaness of cats), Epione (goddess of soothing pain), Nárkosi (goddess of sedation), Arktos (goddess of the night sky & constellations), Hesychia (goddess of quiet, stillness, rest, & silence), Lyrikós (Titaness of voice & song), Eváeros (goddess of air & the zodiacs), Nymphe (goddess of self-care), Karme (demi-goddess of the harvest), and Alectrona (goddess of the sun & morning).

For work, she models for/endorses Euryphaessa, Olmorfia, Megaleio, & Phaelam. She's also a licensed midwife! With her own solo business, Selene has released her signature parfum called Moonmist. The notes of scents include rich black currant, plum, sandalwood, fluffy marshmallow, and fresh peony. A 5 fl.oz. bottle costs 180 drachmas.

In her free time, Selene enjoys going out on date nights with her husband (when he's physically up for it), going shopping, yoga, sewing, knitting, reading, cloud surfing, pottery, and helping her mom with jewelry designs.

Selene's favorite meal is rajma dal (served with white rice) and lamb gyros. When her husband has the energy to cook, she enjoys his pastitsio. From Olympic Chef she likes the smoky BBQ burger with large cajun fries.

1. What do they smell like?     Jasmine2. What is their voice like?    Light, charming, someone you could listen to talk for hours3. What is their biggest motivator?    Her sisters. Everything she does, she does to keep them safe. Being able to call them and hear their voices is the best pick me up.4. What is their most embarrassing memory?     Early days of Basic Training, someone pulled the fire alarm while she was in the shower and she ran out of the barracks in nothing but a towel and soapy hair. People told that story for years, about seeing the Great Commander Shepard standing naked outside in the cold.5. How do they deal with/react to pain?    Physical pain, she just pushes through it. Emotional, she shuts down and goes into autopilot mode. On the outside, she looks neutral, almost uncaring. On the inside though, alarm bells are ringing and fight/flight response is in full swing.

Goddess of the moon. It is also said she is the goddess of sleep, dreams, childbirth, fertility, menstruation, cycles, change and the months.

🌙Selene is the daughter of the titans Hyperion and Theia. Her brother, Helios, is the god of the sun, and her sister, Eos, is the goddess of the dawn. During the night, Selene would drive her chariot pulled by 2 white horses or bulls with the moon across the sky. Her love was the mortal shepard Endymion who was granted eternal sleep in order to be with her. She is an Ouranic titaness and was worshiped on the full and new moon. During the days she bathed her body in the ocean.
