I just wanna post a lot about Cinder just living Winter so much.

Like physically, Winter is beautiful, her eyes are snow fields to be lost in. Her hair is a nest to drag nails through and feel like she’s touching a cloud. Her body is a tapestry of success and accomplishments greater than any report or story could be told. Her smile is the most intriguing, excellent, and mesmerizing thing in the world, it’s like a siren drawing a thirsty dehydrated sailor in for Cinder. She wants to love and hold onto her calloused hands like her life depends on it because Winter is just that perfect.

And her emotions, personality, and who Winter is-! Gods who winter is. She’s bold, brave, loyal. She would go out of her stricken path to do anything for a loved one. Any skill is a challenge to overcome and become superb at, there isn’t a way to stop her when something is placed before her.

Cinder just laying at night, staring at Winter fidgeting in her dreams, suffering quietly with nightmares Cinder knows she won’t hear about the next morning. Holding Winter tighter, and warmer, until winter’s quiet sniffles and gasps turn back into her long, and annoying snoring. Because that’s who Cinder loves, and that is who she will lay her life down for.

i feel like a lot of the 'i hate kids' crowd would be more tolerant if they understood that due to a kid's limited experience of the world that 4 hour flight might just be the longest they've ever had to sit still for or that trapped finger might literally be the most pain they've ever felt in their short life or they might not have ever seen a person with pink hair ever so of course they want to touch it or nobody's told them yet that they can't run around the museum and they only just learned cheetahs are the fastest animals so of course they want to put that to the test. how were they supposed to know etc etc.

advice i think we should tell children is that when adults say stuff like ‘now that i’m an adult i get really excited about stuff like coffee tables and bathrooms and rugs etc’ they don’t mean ‘and now i don’t care about blorbo and squimbus from my childhood tv shows anymore’ bc your average adult still loves all the same pop culture stuff they always did; they just have a greater appreciation for the mundane as well. growing up just means you can enjoy life twice as much now. you can get really excited about a new stuffed animal AND about a new kitchen sponge. peace and love

Also increasingly aware that a LOT of people "manage" getting through the 40+ hour work week by sleeping less than is healthy and relying on stimulants like coffee and energy drinks to keep them going.

For people who are unwilling or unable to do this...work really does just dominate your life. Like we really should not have to rely on unhealthy practices just to have a social life or keep on top of housework or whatever.

I know I post about this a lot but I'm so TIRED all the time and it's just so depressing that this is how we're expected to spend the one life we have.

#i have to get at least 8 hours of sleep a night to even barely function #with sleep #getting ready for work #commute #cooking #and errands #I typically have maybe 2-3 hours to actually do what i want in a day #and I'm usually too tired to actually do the things i want to do #and that's with a very short commute #if i actually had a long commute I'd basically do nothing but work #i see my friends like once every few weeks or months #because we're all so fucking busy with work and have such little time for socialising #and none of us even have kids or anything!!
