It's been a very interesting year to say the least- those months still weren't 100% healthy but it was such a difference it was like living a different life, one not filled with constant dread and fear of the next monthly health episode.

It was unreal and I wish I'd made more use of of that time online while I had the chance, instead of being nervous of setting my body off and ruining a good thing going- but having past a new month my body completely imploding (only partially, which still sucks eggs), I can start to pick myself back up and keep going, hopeful once more! I should go in the ice.. it's Writing Research actually.. *foolishly gets frostbite* #THOUGH yesterday I went on a harrowing evil journey down a bunch of icy hilly roads to go check on some person's cat because the cat #had been left in the house for like 5 days at that point with nobody to check on them and nobody else seemed to want to do anything #about it (like call all of the neighbors or try to get someone out there) so I just went myself with a roommate who agreed to drive me. #It seemed acting totally normal and I gave it more food and water but.. I am still worried about it.. Apparently the person will be able #to get back to their house tomorrow but.. I dont trust them. But I couldnt take the cat with me because it's like.. a stranger's cat #basically and also no carrier + very skittish.. so I feared if I just tried to carry them bare handed they'd definitely leap from my grasp #and then it'd be like.. sliding on a sheet of ice chasing a cat and so on.. I still think they need to be watched for health issues tho >:| #ANYWAY.... many cat adventures lately... and strange weather... God I fucking love mixed weapon fighting so much, just being able to go at it with the thing you're most comfortable with against someone else using the thing they're most comfortable with is so cool and awesome, coming up with strategies to a weapon set you don't use and testing them against someone doing the same, it's so rad tbh

this can be because you liked all the starters a lot, or wasnt into any of them for a gen, or whatever other reason.

if you get multiple games in a gen/replay games and choose different starters for each game/playthrough, then you can take into consideration if you had any difficulty deciding who youd have as a starter on your first playthrough.

Everyone's talking about Wish right now.... The only thing I can say about WISH.......let's hope it's like a Frozen 1 type thing. Where the trailers were ABSOLUTE ASS but then the film turned out really good. TT0TT

While the west got weird trailers that didn't matter for Frozen (Olaf vs Sven carrot thing), JPN and other countries got trailers that actually showcased the plot and drama in an interesting way.... And Wish.....well...... Wish at least gives us a villain and a part of an argument.....and I can't see that argument leading anywhere.....great tbh. So maybe not the best comparisons but let's hope for the Frozen 1 vibe!

crack lyctor theory time: the name erasure was consensual, the og lyctors destroyed their old names on purpose and picked new ones for themselves/for each other. mercymorn's quote in HtN "We agreed our names were sacred--we let them all be forgotten--" (HtN pg 87, paperback) which I know she means their current names but let's pretend she means their pre-Res names. (The rest of the pre-res memories were wiped but they kept their names, like that's their identity, it's kinda hard to imagine john wanting to delete everything about the people he loved.) Therefore they all remember their own names and simply vowed never to use them again, explaining why Pyrrha uses Gideon's name. This is also why Mercy never gained a Houser arithmonym, but the Quinque brothers did; she simply didn't give herself one. (which makes sense with her personality!)

I could even go as far to say the post-Res naming conventions are this way because the early resurrected knowingly cast aside their old names and language after the death of their world and picked/developed new ones.

(this ties in to why Harrow/Nona can't understand the pre-Res names, they only register to their brains as fuzz, because the names were erased from resurrected memory and that mental block was passed down through generations)

Other crack theory is that he erased their names because that was tied to their identity/memories and he couldn't let those memories return, and he wiped alecto's ability to comprehend the words bc she had the ability and incentive to restore the sixteen's memories. same reason everyone else post-Res developed new naming conventions, they had no memories of old names to base their society off of.
