You rolled your eyes as you saw Arthur's comment on yours, how could he be so childish. Forget it, you reminded yourself, today is for Ollie and Ollie only.

You waited in Ollie's driver room till he was done with the debrief, you'd go out to celebrate with him and his family later. His trainer had given him a pass on the diet, after all, scoring points in F1 was no joke.

You jumped off the chair you were lounging in, ready to hug the man as you heard the door open but to your disappointment, it was only Arthur.

You groaned as you saw the boy and he scowled in return. You never knew how your rivalry began. One moment you were visiting Ollie for the first time at Prema and the next you were in a screaming match with a Monagasuque man with the cutest accent.

"What are you doing?" He asked, rather, demanded.

"Waiting for my friend," you replied with the same annoyance in your voice, "What are you doing here?" you accused, stepping towards him.

He pulled a face, closing the gap, "Here to support my friend, you know cause we can actually stand each other,"

"Hah, sure, at least I'm not jealous of my friends, you know cause they actually make it into f1," you shrugged, knowing it was a low blow.

His face morphed into anger as he pushed closer towards you, "You need to shut up," he spoke in a low voice, you'd be scared of the taller, much stronger boy if you weren't doused in anger yourself.

"Make me then," why did you say that- Oh shit.

Your eyes widened as he kissed you, making both of you stumble back and fall on Ollie's driver room bed. You groaned as your back hit the mattress, the older boy breaking the kiss, looking down at you in concern.

"O-oh, my god! Y/n I'm so sorry, I don't know wh-" he began rambling but you couldn't let him win, could you? So you kissed him back, letting your hands run through his hair.

He led one hand to your waist, letting it fall under your shirt, he hissed at the warmth your skin radiated under his palms.

"Oh my god, OH MY GOD," Someone yelled, making Arthur push off the bed, and fall on the floor.

"Ollie this isn't what it looks like," he explained from the floor making you frown.

"It isn't?" you asked making him turn to you.

"No, it is," he explained to you, then turned to shocked Ollie in the doorway, "I mean- it is," he tried to explain.

Ollie paused for a moment, "On my bed, really?" he replied, disgust in his voice.

You picked up the pillow on his now messed up bed, throwing it at his head, "Shut up,"

He laughed as he ducked, "Hey, at least none of us had to intervene," he confessed making you and the boy who was now getting up off the floor groan in defeat.

mobile + sleep deprived so this is going to be All Over The Place but i'll list some thoughts in bullet points:

my anger isn't towards will being buff, my anger is over the fact that fandom has used noah schnapp's body type as a reason to mischaracterize will into someone that he isn't

finn has long hair and he's very skinny so he gets feminized by fandom a lot which bleeds into how fandom interacts with the character that he plays despite mike not having majority/majorly feminine traits

meanwhile noah grows up, goes through puberty, and gains a bit of muscle and suddenly will (in fandom's eyes) goes from being a sensitive, shy, sassy, and sweet kid to this macho guy that is super confident, super physically strong and athletic, and doesn't need to be saved or helped by anyone, and that literally sweeps people off their feet etc. like i'm sorry to tell you this but will is a damsel in distress lol. a HUUUUUUGE part of his character is that he was clocked way way way early as a young kid for being gay and that's why he got bullied. kids make fun of his clothes, they laugh at him, his father calls him slurs, teenagers and adults alike talk about him and his sexuality in a derogatory fashion, he gets called artistic and sensitive which in that era is the nice way of saying gay, etc etc. like. will turns into a scared hamster, he has the freeze response, he fights for his life but ultimately needs to accept help from others to save him, its about loving and being loved and allowing them to save you because there's nothing wrong with needing help, etc etc. like. will is canonically more effeminate than mike and yet bc finn is skinny with long hair and noah is bigger now people flip it around and that's just not who those characters are lol. they're CHARACTERS they're not finn and noah... and even then, noahs the one always wearing pink and wearing purses and who gets his (everything, really, but specifically) his sexuality picked the fuck apart bc of the way that he acts and so on and so forth. but, what...? he gets a couple of muscles and suddenly will is some macho hypermasc dude? why, because only skinny men can be seen as effeminate and sweet and sensitive and so on? since when is a body type a personality. its just so transparent that it's playing into the tiny subby girlboy x big buff hypermasc dom boy mlm stereotype and i Hate it.

another thing is that mike is always the one putting in the physical work, he jumps in without complaining, he helps carry people, he Knows How To Do Things etc etc while will is always the one off to the side letting everyone else work and when he Does do work it's the absolute bare minimum doing the easy part while sobbing and sighing and so on but... wait, noah has muscles so NAHHHH lets reverse it actually and make will the strong one and mike the weakling? why lol. what reason is there for this shift that came ONLY after noah's body changed.

mike is the knight in shining armor, he's the one that saves the damsel, he's the one that comes up with the plan and sees it through, he's the one trying his best even if he isn't always strong enough, he's the one protecting will with his body, he's the one hauling him up and moving him around, he's the one throwing hands IMMEDIATELY and throwing himself into the mix without hesitation, etc etc etc, meanwhile will is literally physically clinging to him, cowering behind him, looking to him to save him, and hyperventilating screaming crying whenever there's danger, and yet.... again..... after noah became no longer scrawny.... suddenly the roles in fanon got switched around? will literally draws mike as the guy standing in front of him, his knight in shining armor that he says has saved him in so many ways... and yet fandom wants to disregard that? just bc finn is skinny doesn't mean that mike isn't who he is. it doesn't mean that mike isn't capable and that he isn't the hero here. They Are Literally Characters they are not real they are not finn and noah they are CHARACTERS

they cast someone that was two years younger than everyone else with the babiest of babie faces for will because they wanted him to look a certain way and then when noah grew up they said they could either hide it or lean into it and guess what they did. they tried to hide it lmao. they put him in long sleeve shirts and baggy clothes (which laughably just made him look bigger lmao) and even asked noah to speak in a higher pitch. because guess what!!! noah is already not a Hypermasc Bodybuilder Worlds Strongest Man kind of guy, but will especially is NOT that. so why act like he is? will is Supposed to be the cute runt he represents so many things and included in that is innocence. everyone wants and has to protect him bc even though he's strong he still needs help. he cannot do this alone. the imagery of him being a speck compared to the mind flayer, a speck in the big big quarry, smaller than the rest of the party so much that he could literally disappear behind them, etc etc are all intentional.

like it just upsets me that noah gaining some muscle and growing taller made everyone turn will into someone that he isn't... there is nothing wrong with him being the way that he is and your body type does not change your entire fucking personality or life history....

(and you weren't being rude, you were just asking a question so don't even worry abt it!)

okay so it took me a while to answer this but i finally found the words to so here goes; yeah i do know, and i totally understand if you don't ship it, neither do i, but there's nothing i can do about it?

they're allowed, so long as they don't harm people, to do whatever they want on their own platforms. and before you ask me if i support *ncest, would you actually ask someone if they support toxic relationships and murder whenever they ship two unhealthy killers with mental problems? because that's funnily enough what most people do around here! you can say it's not the same, and that they're romanticizing it, but i can personally detach myself from fiction enough to realize that while this concept depicted in their art shouldn't be recreated in real life, that doesn't mean they actually engage or support people that do that irl- they asked zu the same question so many times, and frog doesn't either and i've known gayfish for three years! you're well within your right to stop associating with them or distance yourself from their content but i myself won't.

i know fiction affects reality to a degree, don't twist my words please, but if you're too young to consume that kind of content with a nuanced perspective or is triggered/affected by it then as long as they tag their content properly then you can unfollow, block and move on. i have a habit of following and reblogging people's works before looking at their bios and before i know it find myself having to choose between two sides i don't belong to and i frankly don't want to! anti this or proship that- in this online era you have to adapt by keeping your cool and curating your own online experience and viewing people in black and whites is stressful, painful and dangerous for everyone involved. i don't even reblog the content you probably have a problem with, and i'm honestly still scared of the response i'll get-

i will not blame or hate whoever unfollows or blocks me for this, it's to be expected, but please don't think about it like some bad vs good guys dilemma? sometimes thought provoking morally grey ambiguous stories with messed up characters spark more positive discussion and healing than people looking into it because they suffer from the same delusions and want a justification-

like realistically, in my blog, most ppl here are basically shipping two literal skeletons with magic in their bones who are sometimes almost the exact copy of one another, and who theoretically have a very similar dna, and sometimes they make shipkids, which, if you know anything about *ncest, is one of the main reasons why you shouldn't bang your siblings - mostly from a moral standpoint because that's so gross i can't even think of it, but also because any offspring would suffer greatly from physical and mental diseases hidden in their genetic code- like. you could argue it's not the same but it's sancest for a reason. and even when they're widely different sanses, you wouldn't think fell x sans is wrong (at least in this specific community) but really we've all just gotten numb to how weird that sounds. trust me, there's a reason we don't talk about our ships to outsiders HHH

TL,DR: so while i greatly encourage you to block people and content you don't want to see/associate with, including me! i hope i made it clear why i, personally, don't care about dreammare and whoever ships it.

Alright, so, exactly one person said that I should do a long post about my thoughts on this scene. And that's literally all I needed. So, here I go, I guess. I'll try to be coherent.

This scene (and honestly Colin in this episode in general) really hit something deep in me as a queer person. I think it touched on something that I haven't seen a lot of media touch on in that way, but that I and a lot of other queer people have experienced

So, let's get into the scene, specifically Colin's reactions to everything.

I couldn't find gifs for everything I'm talking about, so here's the scene.

At first they're just talking about how cool Zava is and how much they admire him. And everything is fine. Until Richard calls Zava sexy, and Isaac's response is "Sounds a bit gay, bruv". And yeah, he's not saying "I hate gay people". But look at him and how he acts. He says it with a laugh. In a "you're being weird" way. Now, my point here is not to say that Isaac is homophobic. He is however referring to being gay as kinda weird, funny and almost a bit absurd. Y'know, the kind of jokes straight people make when they think there are only other straight people in the room. This is what closeted people live through every day.

I'm actually gonna put some tags from one of my other posts here. Because, yeah, exactly.

#I watched a few cishet reactions to the episode and #the way they Did Not understand the locker room scene #like that wasn't a funny 'joking with the gay guy' moment #that was a moment of 'we are all straight and the joke IS a gay guy' #like Colin is living in that liminal space of #okay maybe they aren't outright homophobic but they sure aren't openly accepting #and any change to that status quo may potentially make things Very Dangerous #so he just Isn't going to challenge that at all (@king-kal)

#stop acting like its all okay #this is exactly what makes it terrifying to come out #and what gaslights people into believing thier pain isn't real #because yes theres more blatant and explicit homophobia out there #but this does real damage too #and its fucking hard to know where youll be safe when the people around you give no indication that theyd accept anyone queer (@not-a-cheese-thief)

#however much they love him there has been absolutely nothing about them in relation to queer people that indicate they’d be #supportive and accepting #you really just never know which is partly why coming out is so terrifying (@theoneandonlypigeon)

Now, let's have a look at Colin. As soon as Issac says that, he has Colin's full attention. He turns his head, his eyes are on Isaac. And he looks kinda scared. Anticipating. He's listening intently.

When you're closeted, and the topic of queerness is mentioned, especially if someone who matters is around, like a friend, you pay attention. You pay attention to what they say, to how they react. To figure out what they think about queer people. What they would think about you if they knew. Would they treat you differently? Would they start to dislike you even? Or would they maybe be supporting?

As a closeted queer person you can never be sure if you're safe. As some of the tags above have pointed out, nobody is saying anything overtly homophobic here, but nobody is saying anything to indicate they would be supportive either. So really Colin doesn't have any more information about how they would react to him coming out than he did before.

Then Richard says "Well I'm gay". And everyone turns around to him and is like "huh?". Except for Colin. Colin doesn't turn around. He actually turns more forward. He tilted his head in Richards direction when he started talking. But when he finished his sentence Colin looked straight ahead. And imma be honest here, I'm not really that good at analysing facial expressions, and this might well be me overanalysing. But the way I'm reading what's going on here is the following. Colin actively faces forward to not seem that interested in Richards possible gayness. his eyes also widen and then tart around for a second. Which to me reads as, like, "wait, what? could there actually be another queer person on the team?".

I'm not gonna get into Richard actually being possibly gay. Here's a post about that, if you're interested. (Not saying that's what I believe necessarily, but I saw the post and felt it necessary to include)

Then, of course "for Zava". And Colin laughs. But holy shit it's such a fake laugh. Like, I'm serious, watch that scene again and pay attention to Colin's laugh. It it so fake.

While they're talking about "men with charisma that transcends orientation", nothing all that interesting happens.

And then, Colin's joke.

Immediately after he finishes his sentence, he looks anticipating again, in a slightly different way. A short moment of "should I not have said that? Could it give them a hint about me?". Then the others start to laugh and Colin smiles along. He's accomplished his mission. He's blending in. He's a chameleon.

Honestly I have a thought (Christians dni youre not gonna like this)

The whole Jesus thing could realistically be explained very easily

Some guy decided he wanted to be famous and start a cult n such and then when he was burned at a cross cuz of his bullshit, his cult followers dug up his grave and did a Junko Enoshima x Mikan Tsumiki with it, discarding of the body elsewhere where nobody in that place would venture out and actually look for (most likely could be remains that either turned to ash or we discovered and thought it was just normal remains), then continued to carry out the deeds prescribed to them during the cult until they grew a larger following, the Bible was written by some living and breathing human person (cult book), and the cult was passed along as a 'religion' through the decades

Cuz honestly Christianity is a cult. It controls how your life works, says who you can and cannot love/be associated with, says what you have the freedom to do, tells you what you can and cannot wear (feminine-masculine), threatens removal of other 'fake' religions, targets minorities, and immediately shoves programs and literature and such down children's throats for immediate indoctrination.

The expanded upon definition of a cult is any 'religious' practices that try to control every aspect of one's life. Including how they dress, act, and other stuff I mentioned before. (So for example, Amish and Mormons have a specific set of how they're supposed to present themselves, and what they can wear. Along with Amish people having to isolate themselves from the rest of society [a common cult rule] and needing to marry a specific person, not be able to utilise certain human technologies, and needing to wear/love only what/who they are permitted to by their religious standards).

And if you think Muslims fall under this though, you'd be mistaken. A hijab is never to be enforced upon a woman, and it is wrong to force a hijab on someone. Although in some places, unfortunately, law are beating women for incorrectly wearing hijabs or not wearing them (this is both morally wrong and wrong to their religious beliefs). Although I've always been confused on their LGBTQ standard, because considering anyone could be LGBTQ and statistically, every few people would end up being LGBTQ, then some people raised Muslim would have to fall under an LGBTQ umbrella given there is a lot of people in that religion. So..if they find out they're LGBTQ and they're a Muslim, do they like..convert? Or..just suppress the feeling and let it eat away at them mentally? That's not meaning to be an offensive question, just out of curiosity (and I've been scared to ask this so please don't make me regret it), because out of how many Muslims there are, and given that there are a lot of LGBTQ people in every walk of life, there'd..need to be some Muslims who fall under this umbrella? Just a bit of a confused thought there, sorry if I explained it piss poorly. (Also I've met some guy who's claimed he's a Muslim who likes guys but he 'can't be gay cuz he's a Muslim' so he's just 'gay online, but straight irl').

Back on track with the post though, Christianity kins these cult-like behaviors in many ways, and actually follows quite strictly to them. So who's to say some dumb fuck claiming to have a found a new religion didn't get grave-robbed and praised by people who then made it into some forever-lasting sugar high?

Seriously, all of these religions have books to them. And for some religions to claim 'Hey I'm the real and truest religion, none others are', there has got to be a liar here. I feel like AT LEAST the Bible was written by some somewhat literate straight white man who'd just murdered like 4 prostitutes.

Plus, 'God' is cannonically sexist. Go read the book accompanying the Bible about the woman before Eve. Sexist as fuck.

Happy to do my part during Lesbian Visibility Week 🫡 (No order except for the last one being my fave)

1. Clarke/Lexa (The 100) - Unfortunately a victim of bury yours gays but first time for me seeing a Sapphic ship and I was like "girls....kissing girls?! Interesting this means nothing to me." (<- liar)

2. Emma/Regina (Once Upon a Time) - Same as before, just one of the earliest f/f ships for me

3. Korra/Asami (TLOK) - Didn't get why this was canon when I first watched it (I had yet to have some Realizations lmao), rewatched it at some point and was like Oh. oooohhhhh

4. Nobara/Maki (JJK) - Nobara is the lesbian of all time omg....the way she talks about Maki and appreciates her SO much. Maki so clearly appreciating her company and her support (but also maybe doesn't even know how much Nobara is so Ready to Fight anyone). They keep getting put on dates in official art....I know what they are....

5. Nami/Vivi (One Piece) - It has been...twenty one years (of irl time) since these two were separated...when they're reunited (which seems like it could hopefully be soon) it's gonna be the biggest Yuri event in the world (to me). LOVE them so much the way they looked out for each other throughout everything and Vivi recognizing Nami's strengths and Nami even though she's scared of fighting getting hurt because she loves Vivi SO much. Girls of all time.

6. Ymir/Historia (AOT) - I've had my issues with AOT so I don't end up talking about it a lot, but this is hands down the best ship. Historia was my fave character and they were IT to each other and the final letter Ymir sends to her is top five most devastating moments in the whole series. Love some tragic lesbians.

7. Hinako/Asashi (Doughnuts Under a Crescent Moon) - Read a lot of published yuri at one point and this one was a standout. Hinako struggles with comphet, anxiety, trying to meet people's expectations of her, and is also good ace rep! The two of them start out as friends and Hinako coming to accept herself is sooo good, probably some of the best canon rep I've read (need an anime for this asap)

8. Rhaenicent (HOTD) - After Game of Thrones bombed so spectacularly at the end I thought I would not like HOTD, but they brought me back on board with the toxic lesbians. Literally inseparable from each other at the start and the one person that they trust, and it just devolves as EVERYONE around them fucks them over in a way where they end up blaming the other and are bitter and hostile about it, but even still after everything you can tell there's some love that never went away truly? Insane.

9. Pharah/Mercy (Overwatch) - ...Exposing myself as an overwatch fan....But these two have some of the gayest voicelines in the entire game (Pharah is my main so I would know lmao. I'm also automatically gay for any Mercy that pocket heals/buffs me ajssllflglh). Fly through the skies together and protect each other...HEAVY flirting while they're at it...Mercy is like the one person to know about Pharah's mommy issues....Yeah I like them lmao.

10. Utena/Anthy (Revolutionary Girl Utena) - Woooaaahhhh who saw this one coming as my fave sapphic ship....everyone? Ok. Anyways ship of all time to me. It's healthy. It's toxic. It's doomed. It's saved. It's canon. I can't even really put into words in one short paragraph why they work so well, but them and their relationship are the heart of RGU. When they get to the point where Utena realizes that what Anthy doesn't need is a prince to save her, rather that Anthy needs her own agency, and Anthy is FINALLY able to leave her abusive situation through that agency, and be able to find and love Utena with full trust. The queer and feminist themes of RGU really just make it unlike any other ship that I've seen.

Marte why are straight people so unnecessarily cruel when it comes to the closet? Like they call people conspiracy theories for thinking someone is closeted when there are celebrities coming out and saying they were pressured to hide their sexuality. How can people deny something is happening when it is literally happening? That is delusion but we're called delusional. It feels like gaslighting. It annoys me when people say that Louis said he is straight which means he is straight. Every celebrity who has come out has said they were straight in the past. All you have to do is look at Billie who said many times that she was straight. These people don't understand the concept of people lying about their sexuality, which almost every lgbtq+ person has done. They all lie for 100s of reasons unique to the individual. But they'd prefer to think that people change their sexuality overnight rather than that they lied. Because them lying means their fave could be lying and that doesn't fit their narrative so they pretend it isn't happening. So it's extreme gaslighting by straight people. How many closeted lgbtq+ people are going to come out for straight people to finally admit that closeted lgbtq+ people do exist, and that closeted lgbtq+ people do lie about their sexuality? Do these people just live in delusion and project by calling us the delusionists? It shouldn't be called a conspiracy theory when it's actually happening and there's a lot of proof for it.

I think people are aware that the closet exists and that there are many celebrities who are closeted to keep their careers. It's just that they don't believe that their chosen favourite is closeted. Not because they're homophobic, but because that would mean that they've been fooled into thinking they're straight. They'd realise they've been lied to, gaslighted and that they've defended them against queer accusations and called other fans conspiracy theorists. They'd realise that the one they've been sleeping with in their dreams, married and had kids with is gay. Turns out they were fooled and now they feel like a fool. They'd feel guilty too if they've been cruel to others in order to defend them. That's not a good feeling to have. You feel betrayed by your chosen favourite. They don't want to believe their chosen favourite would do that to them. It will totally shatter their illusion and the picture they've painted in their head. So they don't believe their chosen one is closeted. So when the fave say they're straight we should believe them. They also see Harry galivanting on stage in a glittery jumpsuit singing his bi songs and grinding on his mic stand while singing Medicine. They're scared we're right about everything, and what that would mean for them. So they often lash out of insecurity and fear. Things don't always make sense to them.

It's not straights who are gaslighting us, it's the ones who are closeted who does the gaslighting. Both het stans and the stans who think they're gay are gaslighted just the same. Het stans are victims of it too. They do live in delusion, because they are being gaslighted by their chosen favourite. You can’t blame them really. But you can’t blame the closeted celebrity either. They're victims too.

There's been plenty of theories that were deemed a conspiracy before a reveal proved the theories to be true. It's not like this is a far fetched theory either. Two boybanders falling in love and being closeted because their label don't think it will be profitable if they were allowed out? It has happened before and it will happen again. So it's just a matter of time before we're proven right.

I'm going to say something slightly controversial about 13 and Yazmin...

I had recently watched a video essay about how Thasmin (the 13th doctor and Yasmin Kahn) was queerbating, and I have some of my own strong opinions on the topic. Spoilers ahead:

Firstly, Yaz isn't the first queer character in the series, nor the first queer companion. I can only speak on New Who since I haven't seen all of the classic stuff yet, but that goes to Jack. You could argue Jack wasn't a companion perse, but even then, Bill was literally the season before 13's meeting with Yaz.

Secondly, just because something seems retroactive doesn't mean it is, was, or is bad even if it was. Yaz's build up to obsession over the doctor is very much apparent throughout her second season, and only grows stronger throughout all of Flux. The way people show emotion and compassion are different for everyone, so while some people may pick up on things immediately, others may miss them entirely. Though I saw it coming from earlier on then others, not everyone did see it coming, but that's not a bad thing either.

"If this was straight..." is an argument heard a lot, and for me personally it's a stupid one (more about that later), but if you look at their relationship from the perspective of a straight one, it wouldn't be as shocking, and no one would say anything about this being left field. Queer people can have a "straight" attraction to someone of the same gender. (See *1)

The shortcomings from their relationship is common amongst LGNTQIA+ relationships, and expected amongst any relationship with the doctor. Internal rejection is very much something a lot of queer people face, myself included. Especially queer people on the ace spectrum, which many people believe the doctor to be on. And while the doctor admits to having those feelings, she is scared of losing her. That fear is not something she gets over. She let's it take over and they end off with a bittersweet goodbye.

I don't argue that who had used queer baiting in the past, but I do argue that this arc is very much NOT queer baiting. The connection feels genuine and worried about from both sides. The doctor even questions what they are in one of the earlier episodes (Arachnids in the UK anyone?) 13 has always been closed off, when she gets emotional she pushes away. She knows that about herself, and also knows that she will change. She knows that she's lost people in the past, and will continue to do so in the future. Her backing away, even though she loves Yaz, is the most expected outcome in their connection, because if she didn't it would only result in them both being hurt in the long term. The worst part about the doctor will always be regeneration. (See *2)

As a person on the aro/ace spectrum, this is the kind of representation I love in queer media. The kind where it is "baiting" by being replaceable, because it's still a love story. I like representation where the heavy words are the love story, and the queer is just an adjective. Stories where queer people are just people are just as good representation as stories where queer people are overly queer.

Oh and, most importantly... YAZ SAYS SHE LOVES THE DOCTOR. And the doctor is also non-gendered, galifrey doesn't really use gender like we do anyways.

There is a sort of understood difference between loving someone in a "gay way" and loving someone. It's a hard explain, but it's one you understand if you do. People love in different ways, and the way that love gets shown is often times decided to be based on whatever type of relationship they're in, but people can also break those standards. I think we shouldn't call it gay way and love because that's semi homophobic, but pure love breaks gender, doesn't care about anything. And it feels like that love for the doctor is pure, obsessive, but pure. As Clara would put it, the doctor is an addiction.

The doctor can't always grow from past mistakes. Because of how regeneration works, a character arc doesn't mean the character will stay that way *coughs* Missy anyone? *coughs* Regeneration will always change the doctor, and its not just physically. So the doctor often times has to relearn emotions and how to process them. We see this most notably with Capaldi and Clara. Regeneration is a renewal, and sometimes renewing something means pulling out the old cpu for a non outdated one. Change is good, but the doctor can't always keep effort they put into one regeneration to the next. They can hope they will, but hope isn't the same as knowing.

Either way, I personally believe it isn't queer baiting, though I can understand how people do see it that way. Not meaning to invalidate anyone's opinion on the matter, I'm just stating my own point of view on it. I think their relationship is toxic and harmful and poorly timed, but I also think it's real. Which makes the bittersweet even more bitter. I would love to hear others opinions on this though!

That thing with Holland is so sick. I've been seeing armys do bs for a long time but this genuinely made me ill.

Harassing a queer idol because the fetishizers in your fandom won't stop harassing him? Of course he named them, he's obviously getting requests from one group the most. They're so proud of being the biggest kpop ship - they should own this too. Why act innocent and naive now? And they all managed to completely ignore the point he was trying to make about how insane it is that these people are trying to forcefully out their faves even if they were actually not straight.

I just unfollowed every army I used to follow. They're either shifting the blame onto him or staying silent. They'll speak about a bunch of things when they need to virtue signal and it costs them nothing, they'll get into fights about the most stupid stuff with other fandoms, but the moment you can actually use your clout for something and speak on how awful it is that your fandom is essentially bullying a gay artist who we know has gone through so much - literal hate crimes - because he came out, you're completely silent? ARMYs have lost all sense of proportion, logic and morality.

The hypocrisy also strikes me because they'll go around naming pjms every day of the week. They always drag Jimin into fanwars. I don't see anyone saying let's not use his name then other than by solos themselves. But this isn't even the first time they've shielded tkkrs. They'll drag up random accounts with hardly any followers and a handful of likes and talk about solos infecting the fandom but god forbid anyone talk about tkkrs unless it's in the most general way so that you can sweep it away as a shipping thing.

And this discourse about namedropping is also ridiculous. They have 70K+ Jimin anti tkk shipper and 300K+ tkk shipping porn accounts running around freely. They tag JK in all their gross edits on Tiktok. We all saw them waving around the tkk banner during Jimin's bday event. Nobody had much to say about it except Jimin biased.

Plus do they actually think Tae and JK don't know? They just need to look at their comments during their lives to find out what tkk is. What are they even talking about? They've nursed these Jimin anti delusional shippers in their fandom for years but the problem is when others point that out?

I actually prided myself on following a variety of people so I'm never too enmeshed in any one group think. I used to follow ARMYs, shippers, solos and other KPop fandom accounts from my main but I'm done now. I was actually so proud that the fandom was being so active in speaking up about the Palestine cause but if your sense of mortality can't tell you how wrong what is happening now to Holland is and if you are too scared to sacrifice clout to speak up for him, then I can't take anything you say seriously. Sorry to bring up a serious real world issue in the midst of all this but what happened yesterday just tells me that if you can't stand up for a queer idol for petty bs fandom reasons or because you don't want to get involved when you know it's wrong (because I was very careful in curating my tl so I know the armys I used to follow at least have that much sense) then there's no way you'd actually do anything if were to cost you something in real life.

So yeah I still listen to BTS, I still like all the members but I'm done with 'army'.

It's "small" things like these that tell you who people really are and they are a sign of the person you could become. It may seem silly because it's kpop but it's real people with real struggles with real hate.

You don't have to be army or pjm or a shipper. None of those names mean a thing at the end of the day. Support what you want and stand up for what you believe.

It's kinda funny to mention, but when I was little, like middle school age, right, I was - still thinking about myself as Russian, or at least half- Russian, but that's beside the point - liked communism. Not the communists that were in Ukraine or Russia at the time (00s) because those were just parasites feeding on nostalgia about colbasa for 5 kopecks. Not the communism that was the USSR - my grandma, the one who raised me, haven't died at that point, and she liked to tell the stories about her childhood. Horrifying stories, to be honest. So I had less illusions about communists in the USSR than someone who knows about it only from Russian-approved books. The ones that were: genocide of Ukrainians and Qazaqs didn't happen, but if it did, it wasn't intentional, if it was intentional, it was justified.

But theoretical communism, ideas of Marx, ideas for the true democracy (ha! I've been young, pls forgive me). Those were something I really believed in.

But if you don't scroll down my posts when you see them on your feed, you probably know what attitude towards communism do I have now.

The worst part of communism isn't that it's not achievable, it's... Communists. They don't want to achieve communism. They don't live by communism.

There's no solidarity from communists with people of Ukraine, as far as I can see. There's a whole lot of working for Russian propaganda, intentionally or unintentionally. There's a total ignorance of real struggles that ethnic minorities, religious people (especially religious minorities), LGBTQA+, people went through, and - in case of Ukraine - are still going through thanks to their communism avatar, i.e. Russia. Not just ignorance, but maliciousness.

I've seen a girl with two sickle and hammers in her username posting this today:

See, this person insists that Ukrainians are lying about honor killings in Russian occupied Ichkeria, lying about gay bashing, lying about anti LGBT legislation that Russians themselves advertise, lying about Russians literally using LGBT NATO instructors in Ukraine as a thing they're scaring their own people and make them despise Ukrainians even more. Or our Prides: see, Ukrainians are all filthy pidorasy (homos/fags) because of Gayropa (gay Europe) influence! That's what Putin is protecting Russians from!

Or we're lying about how one of anti Euro integration ads that were posted in Ukraine in 2013, ads sponsored by Russia, for they wanted Ukraine to never get closer to Europe and stay as Russian quasi colony; that advertisement literally was about how Europe will turn us all gay. The horror.

Russia with its prison culture where to be gay is about the worst thing you can be, except being gay and not white christian. God forbid if you don't live in Moscow or St Petersburg.

So that person with hammers and sickles (which is truly ironic considering how in the USSR if they weren't shot or imprisoned in GULAG, they would fully understand what punitive psychiatry means; and don't say, well, capitalist countries also did that; no, not on that scale, and no, nobody there will be going, hey, this is good, this needs to be brought back, the way Russia does) says, eastern Europeans are lying about Russia and in truth, they're just awful to LGBT people. They say: just look at what comments I am getting.

Because yeah, being mean to someone on Internet is literally hundred times worse than killing LGBT people, or outlawing so much as saying publicly they're LGBT. Or, you know, invading a sovereign country.

They, a hammer and sickle person, don't live in Ukraine or Eastern Europe. They don't see the huge progress we made since we distanced ourselves from Russia, and that's because we distanced ourselves from Russia. They don't listen to LGBT people from Ukraine and EE, and in case of Ukrainians, they literally condemn them to die when they support Russia.

Where's the fucking solidarity? Where's the fucking equality? It's a fucking joke.

I think that something big and amazing for him is happening and he's not hiding it at all but most people are just so focused on the bigger picture or the rules that it goes missing in plain sight. I was called to pay attention to the unusual meanings of all these cards, the things happening in the backgrounds, instead of the main art, like a little flower on the ground or birds flying on the sky instead of the person/people in the middle taking up most space and usual attention; the ace of cups reversed can have a very upsetting meaning but as i looked at the card from this perspective it just became more and more beautiful and elegant, like a monument. it might be something he isn't allowed to outright say but he still wants to share and it makes him feel like a happy little kid. I think if you look at him without any pre conceptions, you'd be able to know right away.

it does look like he is gay, I asked many cards to make sure it is correct and appropriate to say this. the ace of cups traditionally has a W on it's middle but reversed, it shows an M, something that usually means nothing to me but today I clearly thought "w for woman, m for man oh"; the 10 of cups is literally a couple showing a rainbow and 2 kids playing underneath it. I don't know anything about him so I looked up some videos to read his energy before doing the tarot and i playfully said that "he looks gay asf" and as the messages through the cards came in I was like "🤨🏳️‍🌈❓️". + it's interesting that the question that came through before any cards fell wasn't the typical "tell me about your love life", it was "what do you want the public to know in June?". I'm apprehensive of adding this but it is what it is, the cards and my intuition are saying go for it.

now I don't approve my readings being used as proof of fan theory like shipping or something like that. he did communicate that he wants to share this subject with the public but he hasn't, this message could mean a million things and this is just one interpretation, please remain respectful of this guy's privacy and humanity.

Is it wrong to side-eye people who never before liked Disney but suddenly go all gaga over the remakes? Considering these remakes are horrible copy-pastes of the og classics it just gives me insidious thoughts. I dunno, but after hearing for years from folks how Ariel was "Problematic" for giving her voice for a man and suddenly all these same people adore Remake Ariel (who does the same thing as og Ariel, she barely changed) is just..odd. Isn't she still problematic in their eyes?

No, I honestly do it too because people who are flighty like that feel disingenuous. I find it really strange when people do a 180 on anything they like with no context or natural time for change to actually occur. All the criticisms I've seen about Ariel from the 1989 movie are totally unfounded, and people just hated to hate her (ALSO don't even get me started on the fact that those same people who STILL believe that junk about the original movie are turning a blind eye to the really offensive "fixes" of the remake and how it's still a white director and writing team that's supposed to be telling a black woman's- in this version- story and in doing so stumble SO BADLY, but that's another conversation for another time) but a lot of people have openly said that the main reason they're supporting Halle's Ariel is because she's an Ariel that looks like them and they want to support a film with a leading actress that's a woman of color, and I appreciate their honestly. I mean, honestly, she does a better job than the other actresses they cast in the past and wanting to celebrate talent of color is, in and of itself, always a good thing.

I do know a quotient of white people, however, who go above and beyond to overly compliment the movie- and have done so even before it came out or we saw a trailer- and they never liked the story or the character previously (and were very vocal in expressing their disapproval for OG Ariel, while they literally copied OG Ariel's songs and plot and dialogue in sooo many instances in the remake) and, unfortunately, I kinda feel like it's the 2023 version of "I'm not homophobic, I have a gay friend." They feel like they are subliminally telling people that, by supporting this movie, they're not racist and it's an image correction for themselves of sorts, because incidentally these white people I'm thinking about all have extremely checkered pasts. And when they all parrot the exact same opinions about the film and talking points, it just irritates me because, especially as a minority myself, it's easy come easy go. Fairweather activists and allies definitely aren't what any community needs and that's the only way I could classify people who just generically follow whatever they think is socially acceptable at the time, to the point where anything they say is meritless, and blends in with the cultural landscape at the time, because sometimes the pervasive thought isn't for the better. Luckily, right now, we are in a place where diversity is celebrated, but if that isn't the case in the future, will those people who flip on a dime go back to being the aggressors and the people fighting against minorities? Those types of things scare me and honestly those thoughts are ones I have all the time, especially as a minority. Does this person actually mean their support, or are they doing it to course correct? Do they actually want to become better people, or are they doing it because they feel like they have to? Do they like me/want to respect me, or is it just want approval from me represents for them? Is all of this change and progress for the better and permanent- or could it be taken away overnight?

Also, there are genuinely so many problems with the live action movie and no one's saying anything about it, which is fine like people are allowed to enjoy this movie, but...for all the things wrong with it, especially for a film that's come in 2023, I would like to see more discourse around it so that change can actually happen and improvement can occur instead of this weird "we cast one person of color! Act like you're happy and it's perfect with these crumbs we're throwing you or else" mentality that's circulating. You can approve of Halle in the role and still see the issues with the production and the completed film. You can want more people of color in films and still speak to some of the problematic elements from the live action. And I think the marketing for this film and all the conversation surrounding it has kinda promoted this false belief in people that if they don't blindly support this film, people of color will never be in media again??? Which is insane. Most of the films that are out right now have talent of color as the leads and it's only going to continue, more so, in the future. So again, you can support talent of color and still advocate for when they're being mistreated or when a film isn't where it should be with the other creative talent, the surrounding cast, even if the marketing in and of itself is something that's riddled with issues.

hey so I saw your post about helping a friend with their identity and I was wondering if you could help me with mine

So I present as pansexual but sometimes my brain says that I’m just straight because the only people that I’ve found that are also supportive are only girls (my sex is male) and I’m starting to wonder if it’s true. I can’t remember if it’s something like imposter syndrome or what it is, but I just wanted to ask about it.

I mean I want to be in a queer relationship but then my brain is like “you’re just saying you’re gay to look cool” or “you say you’re gay but you’re just an ally”

And I feel the same way about my gender identity, I present as non-binary and want to get non-binary gender affirming surgery and other procedures, but my brain’s like “you just want the surgery to have more sex” and I don’t know what to believe.

Thanks if you can help and sorry for “trauma (if that’s the right word)” dumping.

so first off, you are valid as hell. you dont need to fully know who you are yet, it takes forever to figure this stuff out. like i only recently came to terms with my gender and am still figuring out my attraction. no matter where you are in your journey you are valid as hell.

with that out of the way, i can't tell you how you're meant to be attracted towards peoples. you could be omnisexual, you could be romantically/sexually attracted to girls only but different attraction types such as alterous for other genders, you could be abrosexual (like genderfluid but for sexuality), or something else entirely.

however i have two bits of advice for you, both in the form of quotes.

"but what if that little queer crush is completely insignificant in my life now and I've basically forgotten it???" i hear you say. well now i have a quote from a book called Imogen, Obviously, where main character Imogen is having a bisexual crisis over a girl, and is talking to her sister Edith about it.

one of them is from onetopicatatime from youtube (i highly reccomend for some chill but also educational content about lgbtqia+ things), who i remember saying once "if you think you're faking it, you're probably not." if you relate to queer experiences, or you think you might have had a queer crush at one point, then dont disregard that!! this community is more than large enough for you, and all of your experiences are valid, no matter what.

Even if you and another pan person on the internet both identify as pan, and that person has been hooking up with literally anybody they find mildly hot at a bar, and you've had a few small crushes on small selections of people who happen to all be the same gender, that doesnt mean you're less valid. maybe they're older than you and have had more time to be attracted to people. maybe theres no cute/hot boykissers at your school/work/etc.

i'm not pan, but the definition describes the potential for being attracted to people regardless of gender identity. i dont see anything there telling you that you have to be attracted to every. single. person you see. maybe its a coincidence, or (and I say this as an aromantic person who always thinks that im just weird for not wanting to date people) maybe you just haven't found people you really connect with yet.

being scared of not being queer "enough" or faking your identity is essentially a hallmark of the queer experience at this point, and I think it really just takes time to feel comfortable in your identity. it sucks but I think that's just how it goes.

part 2 - gender wowie

i think it's good to think about what are your reasons you want to get gender affirming procedures. like do you want them to stop dysphoria? to wear clothes that fit your gender better? to feel more attractive to yourself, and better about yourself when others are attracted to you?

if you think it's the right pathway for you, go for it. but remember you're valid as trans, or enby, or anything, no matter if you physically transition or not. however, you don't have to decide NOW NOW NOW NOW. like for example maybe you're multigender and one part of you really wants to look like your assigned gender, but the other half wants to be the opposite or in between. or maybe you're genderfluid and you feel too much like your AGAB too often to be sure you wanna transition.

final takeaway is that its gonna take time to feel sure about being queer and your place among the community. also, maybe do the aroace thing of categorising every person you know and seeing if you would be attracted to them or not, cause at least you get closure then, if not then you get queer attraction instead. also, if you have the means to, maybe try dressing as the opposite to your assigned gender (ask for Visa gift vouchers if your parents / guardians aren't supportive and you don't have an income / credit card)

also im sorry if something I said didn't really help in the way I intended or I made a dumb assumption, sometimes I try and say something but it comes out meaner than intended, I tried to rectify that if I realised but hopefully I got everything.
