Bye bye," He heard from his office, your soft voice very obviously worried about him. You walked out as soon as you finished your last sentence and found him on the couch, running his hands through his hair and messing it up even further. "Wil? What's wron-" "Can you just go to the bedroom and I'll be there soon." His words cut you off, and you swiftly moved yourself to the bedroom to get changed. You'd obviously gone way too hard on Wilbur and challenged him too much, but you also wanted to have some fun.

He wasn't going to lie but you calm him down.

When he gets stressed, you're always there will a bowl of fruit and a drink of water.

When he's angry, you welcome him with a long hug and a kiss on the cheek.

When he's upset, you're there with a comforting smile on your face and a shoulder to cry on.

when he's anxious, you're offering him your hand to squeeze on and a small fidget toy for him to play with.

He couldn't deny that you were a grounding force for him, and he felt bad leaving you on your own, and always wanted to be there with you to reciprocate the things you did for him.

Small footsteps pulled you out of your thoughts, waiting for your boyfriend to come into the room and sit on the other end of the bed and lay down, ready to watch a movie. But when he entered the room, his hair was severely messed up, his Doomed sweater crinkled and his fingers holding a pinkish shade from picking at them. It was no secret Harry had jumpstarted my career. We started YouTube around the same time, both doing our own things and genuinely having a good time. His channel had started to kick off very quickly, with him beginning to gain subscribers almost immediately. My channel? Not so much. I had a steady ten thousand subscribers well over two years into it. Where as Harry, had over three million - and had joined a YouTube group - "The Sidemen".

I had since that time decided to stream instead. It was my element. I loved it. Still love it. Harry had popped into one of my streams quickly to say hello, and ask for my Nando's order. This grasped the attention of thousands upon thousands of viewers - who were now turning up stream after stream. I thanked him endlessly, finally being able to support myself with my content career, and leaving the stuffy job I had worked to make my money.

Now, I lived in a beautiful two bedroom flat in central London. With floor to ceiling windows, I found myself often just staring out of them and wondering, "is this real life?"

Flash forward to the current moment, I opened my window and the crisp, cool air flooded into the flat. My curtains gently blew next to me as I closed my eyes and took in the smell of autumn air. I stretched and took in my surroundings. The city skyline was backlit by a gorgeous pink and orange sunrise, making it nearly impossible to stop staring.

I was pulled from my daydream by the soft buzzing of my phone on my duvet. I grabbed it to find messages from a few friends, and some twitter notifications. I opened the small blue app to see I had been tagged in tons of videos.

I opened a few, seeing that they were all the same clip from what looked to be a stream. Harry's stream. He was playing some geoguessr, and seemed to be at a lull in the game - answering questions.

"Why don't you stream with Y/n anymore?" He read as the donation popped on the screen. You could almost see the instant regret in his eyes as he read it.

"Oh erm, I guess we just sort of fell out of touch. No hard feelings or anything she's lovely, I'd love to catch up with her" I didn't even know what to think. Fell out of touch? I don't quite remember it that way.

— 10 months prior—

Harry and I had been hanging out nearly every day. We were basically joined at the hip. We were doing everything together.

Streaming, eating, going for walks. We basically merged our lives together.

"What's got you all crabby" Harry asked.

"Nothing nothing, just my silly imagination" I was truthfully imagining what would happen if I grabbed his hand as we walked through the heart of our neighborhood.

Harry and I had, what I considered to be a blossoming relationship. We were keeping it to ourselves, only to make sure this was what we wanted before effectively announcing it to the whole world.

In private, we were all over each other. Cuddling on the couch, sneaking kisses in bed as I forced Harry to watch my favorite shows. Public was an entirely different story. Even in front of his flat mates, we were just mates, even if it hurt in those moments.

It all came down to about four months into our relationship. I felt we had it figured out with us. We were at a point in our relationship where we were probably only days or weeks from the ‘I love you' talk. We had certainly sealed the deal in more ways than one, by this time.

We had many conversations about bringing our relationship to the public, not our viewers, but our close friends and family.

Harry seemed to be skeptical, questioning every word I said.

"What if it gets leaked out. Then what?" He asked. He seemed very stressed about the situation.

"Then we handle it the same way everyone else does? Just set our boundaries with what we want to say to the viewers and keep the rest private." I explained calmly.

"I don't think I can handle that." He stated.

My head turned slightly to the side at that comment. Confused by what he meant, I asked.

"I just mean, what if we break up? How will that look to the fans? Like I'm just a womanizer dropping women left and right?" He was referencing the few girls who in previous points of his career he had been seen snogging in clubs and never bringing them up again.

I felt my breath hitch in my throat, oh. So this was all about him. "That may be the most selfish thing I have ever heard." I said softly. I was heart broken that all he seemed to be thinking about was us breaking up. "I thought we were in a really good spot, Harry." His pacing stopped and he looked over at me, seeing the tears brimming my eyes.

"Y/n, no... no... I don't mean it like that." He tried to back pedal.

I was too upset to hear it at that moment, gathering my bag and standing up, wiping my tears on the hoodie of his I was wearing. "Ill make this easy for both of us. No need to go public with something that doesn't exist anymore." I said, leaving the flat.

I can't even remember if he tried to come after me at this point. All I remember is the hurt that it caused, wondering if I would ever get over it.

—present moment—

I shuddered, partially at the chill enveloping the room and partially at the memory of leaving Harry standing there. I trailed over to my closet, reaching in the back for the all too familiar fabric of Harry's hoodie I left with that day. I hadn't washed it, so it still very faintly smelled of his flat.

I decided to get myself ready for the day, dressing casually and cleaning up so I could stream. I was planning to play some dead by daylight with Talia, and then probably some solo game if I felt up to it.

Mid way through the day, as I was still streaming, a notification appeared on my phone.

Harry: can we talk?

Not wanting to lose my poker face on stream, I sat my phone down, ignoring the message for now.

Harry: I'm watching your stream, I know you're ignoring me. I don't blame you, I just want to talk.

I gave in, typing back a quick '0kay, you know where I am' and went back to my game.

Barely an hour had passed since my stream ended. I had taken a shower and just started to cook myself a meal.

A small knock at my door broke me from my trance that I was in cooking up some dinner. I shuffled to the door, opening it to find Harry standing there in a pair of Sidemen joggers and a Nike crewneck. He seemed older, or perhaps that was a trick of the eye caused by the facial hair he was now sporting.

"Come in," I stepped aside and let him in. He came silently and sat at my island, watching me finish up my food and dishing us both up a plate. It was my worst habit, eating when I was nervous. I had no idea what he was planning to say.

"I'm sorry" he said. Nothing further, just he was sorry.

"I was hurt." I blurted. I couldn't think of anything else to say.

"I know, and I would take it back in a second if I could. I wouldn't have said anything I did, it pained me to see your face when I said that" I tried to speak but nothing came out. "I still care for you. A lot. I have feelings for you, deep feelings that I can't shake. Not that I want to. You didn't deserve what I said to you. You deserve better than me but I selfishly still want you. I'm praying that I'm not making a fool out of myself here." A flush had overcome his face.

"You're not." His eyes lit up, head snapping up to meet my gaze. "I don't blame you for what you said. I know you were only worried what would happen to us. But you can't let that dictate your life. Yes, we could have broken up. But that's something that's always a possibility in a relationship. That doesn't mean you give up on it."

"I know," he started. "I feel like you were too good to be real. I know that sounds cliche, but truthfully you are too good for me, and always have been." I sighed,

"Harry, you know me better than this. I want you. Is that not enough?" I asked.

"Want? As in present tense?" I blushed, turning my head to the side.

"Yeah, I guess I'm not over you, like I tried to convince myself I was." I said.

He pushed his plate up, moving to my side of the table and wrapping his arms around me. I felt like we were transported to almost a year ago, when him and I were inseparable. I wrapped my arms around him and held him tight. Taking in his warmth and comfort.

"I missed my best friend" he whispered in my ear. "And if that's all you want, that's fine. I just need you in my life" my heart fluttered as he said this, holding my face in his large hands.

"Don't be silly Harry," I said, leaning toward him to seal the space between our lips. The kiss was short and sweet. "I missed you too".

i nearly stopped in the middle of the street coming home from the grocery store today because at the intersection i saw what i swear was an albanian frontplate. it had a red strip on the side and the numbering seemed to match up but it drove off before i could take a picture to verify. what an albanian front plate is doing in phoenix arizona I don't know but it was crazy to me

The Kyoto Arc Analysis Post (Part 3)

This part covers a look at the magic circles used, more manga geoguessr, and what exactly soul-Haruaki's plan was

Magic Circles

A lot of magic circles came up this arc, so this is a good chance as any to look at them.

The one that shows up most frequently is this one Byakko uses.

I believe this is based off a luopan, a chinese compass used in fengshui divination. The words match, as well as the compass degree markings in the outer ring.

If it’s an existing asset online, then I haven’t found it, but it’s probably a custom design.

While it doesn’t often have the yin-yang symbol in the center (that’s where the compass goes) there are some designs that do feature it in the center.

Haruaki has actually had 2 versions of his pentagram, from vol 1 to 8 there was a pentagon inside the circle, and from vol 9 onwards it’s just the star.

However, the star has gotten more detailed this arc! Specifically, you can now see where the lines cross over. (Idk how to explain this just look at it)

(When used by white haired Haruaki. You can also see the principal’s kuji-kiri in his barrier.)

Interestingly, the star doesn’t show up at all when Haruaki was summoning the four gods, instead it’s just the luopan design.

Double interestingly, Seimei has a totally different circle!

(Note the big dipper design in the middle. Or maybe little dipper? The handle is bent the wrong way again! Tanamai sensei do you know the two dippers are different….)

Also, this cloud pattern also shows up on the mark on principal's face.

But when Douman uses it, it’s the star overlaid over the luopan design?? What does this all mean?? Don’t get me started on the rest of that scene. Rest assured that comes later in this essay.

I think this panel in ch 22 is the clearest we get to see Sano’s magic circle. I think the letters are siddham script, used in buddhist scriptures, but I’m not sure what the letters are exactly. This combined with the lotus imagery on the ch 43 cover page means… idk??

There’s also this variant, which is just wacky circles I think.

And then there’s the ones from this arc. (They’re ever so slightly different, I think)

That one in ch 90 actually seems to be the same one as ch 80.5.

What are the words at the top of this color spread?

This is a good time as any to talk about this. The characters over the four gods’ are just the directions they represent, in order, east, west, south and north.

Albeit, they don’t look like typical kanji, because these are in fact the chinese pictograph versions of them, which eventually developed into the chinese characters now as well as kanji. Specifically, they’re the jiaguwen versions.

Geoguessr part 2

You see, there was a 3 day gap between the JP raws for ch 90 releasing and the chinese tl to come out, during which time I was bored as hell but also couldn’t do anything else because I was busy refreshing the chinese tl site every 5 seconds.

Clearly, the sane thing to do in this situation is to look at every street near Kinkaku-ji to find where this panel happens.

(Although, this is after I cleaned all the sfx from the JP chapter, but then I had to do it all over again for the CN pages anyway since it’s higher quality and I can’t just paste in the JP blurry raws)

I was originally going to also try to find the previous panel, where Rintarou and Ebisu are hiding under a fan, beside a vending machine, but I couldn’t find where that is.

Anyway, by god did I find this goddamn street.

But you see, dear reader, there’s a twist. This is not one street. This is two sides of the same estate, in other words, the left and right halves of the image are two different streets.

(Thank god I don’t live in Japan I would have gone there on foot just to check every street)

What Was Soul-Haruaki’s Plan?

If you think about it for one second, his plan doesn’t make a whole lot of sense. Why is he using his power if it doesn’t work on his body? He’s not stupid so what is it?

But if you think about it for two seconds it actually makes sense. Without powers (and even with powers), Haruaki is Just Some Guy. If 1/5 of him starts trying to kill him, what’s he going to do? Run about it? This guy can run just as fast!

The real goal of this maneuver, besides getting Haruaki here, was also to gather the youkai who could possibly help him in one place and knock all of them out. The only reason that didn’t happen was because the principal was there, and Haruaki didn’t know about him before all this anyway.

Also, a translation note/explanation for the term “anti-youkai power”. This is just what the official translation chose to use since the start, since it worked in the moment (and most of the time really). But the japanese word doesn’t actually specifically say it’s “anti” “youkai”. The word is “退魔の力” (taima no chikara), and a more conventional translation is probably “exorcism power” which you may have noticed I use sometimes. The “力 chikara” part is without a doubt “power”, so this is about what “退魔 taima” means. If you were to take the meanings of the two kanji separately, it would be “dispel magic”. The word “魔 ma” is also often used as a prefix for magical beings, so maybe that’s where “anti-youkai” comes from. Anyway, with the “dispel magic” definition, it should be pretty clear why his power works on both youkai and gods, given they’re both magic-based.

Also, as for why this power works on the four gods both times (when Douman stole it from Seimei, and then when soul-Haruaki used it) when it’s never affected Sano very much may be because the four gods bodies are magical constructs summoned into a piece of paper, whereas Sano’s physical body is just here.

(Or maybe also because both soul-aki and Douman were gunning for the kill, and Haruaki is never gunning for the kill ever. could be multiple factors.)

Where is Mount Ooe?

In case you forgot, Mount Ooe has the youkai town where Miki’s family lives. You’d think this is pretty close by, considering it’s repeatedly mentioned that it’s “in Kyoto”, and also Haruaki went there as a kid somehow.

The thing is, (maybe you knew this already and I’m just stupid) Kyoto PREFECTURE is fuckoff massive and Kyoto city is only a tiny tiny part of it.

So Mount Ooe is on the other side of Kyoto from where the city is. This is in the mountains, nearly 80km from the city! My new question is what the hell was 10 year old Haruaki doing there??? How did he get there?? Who let him do this?? Mamaaki and Papaaki watch your goddamn son!! Is this what kids in Japan do?? Fuck off 80km into the mountains??

Greek GeoGuessr goes sideways

So I have been obsessing over GeoGuessr lately. After a few surreal experiences around the world like being forever trapped in a water park in India or stupidly choosing to take the northern route in a Swedish forest and as a result I almost reached the Arctic without a sign of life - I literally saw the vegetation change (but also including some Greek-related ones like in a Serbian city where the game dropped me first thing in front of a Greek Tourism office and then there was some Greek graffiti in another part of town for some reason and I was convinced I was in some strange Greek place until 10 minutes later I remembered Greek is not written in Cyrillic so this felt like an AU where Greece is a Slavic country PLUS me bumbing onto a theater playing Zorba the Greek in Santiago, Chile ^_^) ANYWAY I decided to play Greece for fun and potential material for the blog and BOY

Classic mode has five rounds so first round ever in Greece, GeoGuessr dropped me in

a godforsaken muddy graveyard. Nice. There was a grim village nearby and as I was getting out of it I found a sign with its name:

ΜΑΥΡΟΓΕΙΑ. Meaning BLACKEARTH. Yeah, no kidding. What a happy start.

Second, third and fourth rounds were relatively normal. 

Now fifth round dropped me there.

Finally! A pretty place! I decided to go towards the mountains.

A nice way to forget GeoGuessr dropped you in a dirt road and you’re not guessing the place anytime soon. It felt like I was walking for hours trying to get close to that bloody mountain or any sign of life. After a long time and many turns through small paths I find myself in a main road.

Pretty aesthetic. But these mountains are still far away. Like, do you see the difference with the previous image? Do you get how much I have travelled? In this picture I am literally in the horizon of the previous picture. 

Ahhh how beautifully the sunbeams fall on the sign AND DON’T LET ME READ WHERE THE FUCK I AM.

You mean that I’ve spent an hour in this bloody game wandering in Kolofoni (which means glorious peak ROFL but it also sounds like “Butt-voice”) and trying to find Bouboukas (cringy masculine floral dimunitive)??? That’s it, I’m not playing Greece ever again. 

P.S but Bouboukas is a cutie pie of only 24 inhabitants. Let’s give some love to lil’ Bouboukas.

PS 2: I still don’t know what these mountains are called. Didn’t get any closer and I probably don’t want to anymore. This was by far my longest round all over the world, beating the two trappings in Indian theme parks (yeah, there were two of those for some reason), beating almost reaching the North pole from a Swedish forest, beating another massive nothingness in Texas and an endless wandering in St. Petersburg, Russia where I couldn’t understand any of the road signs and labels. Unbelievable.

 I love this game though - I only barely keep myself from making posts about random international GeoGuessr adventures - can you tell? XD

(she isn't really an F1 wag, but she seems to carry around a lot of gossip with her 💀)

It appears that she may have had something going on with Lando Norris, prior to Mick. He was incessantly liking her pics and they'd met up in AD in 2021, where he gave her a signed McLaren cap that she posted on her Instagram. At the time, she was still with her ex so nothing really could've happened with Lando. But he was absolutely obsessed with her, constantly talking about Denmark, travelling there a lot for 'no reason', playing GeoGuessr and going off about the country, making remarks about 'being in love' at the same time that he started following her and her private account(people were saying that she was following LNs private account until Mick went social media official with her). Max Verstappen was also liking some of her pictures but I assume that it's because Lando told him about her and he was playing the role of the 'supportive bestie'. Logan Sargeant seems to also have rumors with her, but he's into blondes in general, so not really that surprising.

Laila made an appearance at the 2022 Monaco GP where she zoomed in on his car at hairpin

-Along with these F1 drivers, she's rumored to have had a threesome with Bendtner and her friend Madeleine, trysts with Christian Pulisic and Adam Horowitz, a sugar baby/daddy relationship with Remee Jackman, the same thing with a German/Italian man, several other random rumored hookups and she has officially dated Boris Laursen, Jonas Wind and Alvaro Gellings in the past

What school subjects do you think all the 1A and 1B students would take?

I've got a few

Bakugo,Sato,Sero,Awase,Kinoko - cooking

Shinsou,Bakugo,Deku,Ibara,Kuroio,Manga - art

Jirou,Tokoyami, music

Something about Manga in art class with Deku and Manga thinks that Deku's drawings are so cool

Idk that much about class 1-B so mostly did my thoughts about class 1-A.

A lot of them, I think would try to take courses that'd be beneficial to their quirk so Shinsou; psychology, Denki; welding, Ochako; physics, Momo; chemistry.

Yosetsu reminds Denki of Kirishima and Bakugou a lot, so Denki appreciates being paired up with him on builds. Yosetsu usually has to remind him to put on his helmet. Later becomes comfortable around Denki to jokingly weld a needed tool to the table.

Mina would audition for the lead roles but is stuck type-casted as the manic pixie dream girl characters or characters with bubbly personalities but a tragic past. Mina also helps out behind the scenes, painting backgrounds for sets.

Kaibara can be found in the darkroom, developing the photos he took between rounds during the Sports Festival. Eventually finding enough students who were interested in photography to create a yearbook club for U.A.

Bakugou seems like he'd be a history buff, but not in the WW2 red flag manner. His areas of expertise being radiation accidents, old Hollywood, & the space race. It's bad enough to where Kirishima at times will slap his hand over Bakugou's mouth to shut him up.

Agree that Jirou would do music, learning all the instruments she can to the point she'd have the ability to run a one person band. Ends up being able to play things by ear after teaching herself perfect pitch.

Kirishima takes geography, being a goat at GeoGuessr. It's helped him figure out what jobs he could pursue if he were to retire or decided being a pro-hero wasn't for him. Discovered that it's one of those fields where there's an equal ratio of quirkless to those with quirks.

Kinoko would take biology, mainly participating in U.A's gardening club. Researching mushrooms that can aid in soil growth and composting. It gives her an opportunity to study her own quirk in application that isn't exactly battle focused. Ibara aids in running the club, letting her choose which types of climbing plants to incorporate in the garden.

Iida takes all the math classes he can get his hands on, highest being calculus. Loves whenever his peers come to him to ask questions about the homework problems they're struggling on. He doesn't outright say the answer but will walk them through it, even if they're not in the same math class.

Todoroki's favorite class of the day is Literature, especially when the assigned book is an old classic. He find solace in the words as it brings back positive memories from when his older brother taught him how to read and made little puppet shows to go along with the children's book. Prefers cheesy romance novels, the Brontë sisters being his go-to.

Geoguessr tips - Netherlands edition

Sooo I recently got into Geoguessr and well, I thought: why not share some tips on how to identify my home country: the Netherlands, and better yet: narrow down exactly where you are with relative ease:

General stuff

The Netherlands has yellow license plates; the only country besides Luxembourg in Europe to have them

The Netherlands is mostly flat - but beware! There is actually some hilly terrain, especially in the Southeast (Limburg)

Cycling infrastructure: oftentimes red lanes, also plenty of signs. There'll also be bicycles parked basically everywhere except highways. Note that country roads often have unpainted cycling lanes to the side with one central lane for cars. Road lines are always white.

IJ/ij. Only found in Dutch. There's also both vowel and consonant doubling in some words, though both rarely happen ar the same time

Narrowing down your location:

If a town ends in -lo, it's in the East of the country

If a town ends in -veen it's often somewhere to the North

If a town ends in -dam it's near water, probably a river

If the sign is bilingual (note: German doesn't count!) or features â, î, ô, ê or û, it's in the Friesland province (Northwest)

German on signs or advertisement means it's in a border region

Town signs will have the municipality on them as well (gem. [...])

Does a church or area look Catholic? (Crosses, statues, that sorta thing) Probably Limburg or Brabant (South)

Modern architecture and tall buildings? Rotterdam. It's the only place that has "a modern skyline"

Sand drifts can be found in the Veluwe region (the big wooded area to the middle of the country). I don't even know whether they have any spots near sand drifts, but who knows. Could be useful.

Dutch neighborhoods are themed. For example: artists, plants, royal family, countries, inventors etc. This is most useful when you know some Dutch though, but handy nonetheless

Texel, Vlieland, Terschelling, Ameland and Schiermonnikoog are the islands going from left to right. See any of em on a sign and you know where you are

Major highways start with an A, provincial roads with an N

Public transit can be a big clue. Some bus companies only operate in certain regions. (See pic 1) Trams can only be found in Amsterdam, the Hague, Rotterdam (and area) and Utrecht

Phone area codes. Quite useful. They can help you narrow things down considerably (see pic 2)

Recreational cycling route junction (fietsknoopppunt) signs will tell you the region you're in (see pic 3)

PS: "Fietspad" means cycling path. It's useless for geolocating as is "Doorgaand Verkeer" (through traffic). Yellow signs are temporary.

Yesterday I played another round of GeoGuessr. This time it placed me right infront of your house. It was a weird feeling. Honestly every day I feel like I wanna write you and tell you so many things. This Blog is turning more and more into messages I wanna write you instead of things I feel and wanna vent. Maybe that is a good thing. I am so tempted to hint ways to make you find this Blog so you see what I write and how I feel. But I will never do it, because what I want most is for you to be happy and I think that would not make you more happy. It would make me feel better on the cost of your well being so I won't risk that. But damn do I wish you found this coincidental, realised its about you, decided to write me. Just write me to talk, have a friendship together again. I am not even hoping to get back together, but I also just miss the talks we had and telling each other about our days and our achievements. I wanna know what you achieved since you left me. I am burning for that, to know how far you got and be proud of you for fighting every day to be better. I know you do and I know you were already amazing. I am still working on myself. That will take some more time, but I made progress too since then. I miss you.

Today we streamed Just Chatting, Geoguessr, Final Fantasy XIV and Paladins. Coming back to streaming got me realizing what i enjoy streaming and i keep discovering new things to do and removing some old ideas. I found through 3 weeks of streaming final fantasy that I would like more action since i only have 3 days a week to stream, and Paladins is a natural fit for me. Therefore i've changed my schedule from "FInal Fantasy Friday " to "FPS friday"

i was watchimg one of his olderish geoguessr videos and like it was a french-speaking and he was like ‘CANADA???? OR FRANCE????’

and i remember i was practically YELLING at my screen, you utter BAFFOON that is CLEARLY European architecture, it couldn’t be Canada, you see the way the buildings are kinda sunk because they’ve been there for hundreds of years? you see what the buildings are made of? there is NOTHING in canada that looks anything like that.

but he picked canada and i was like ‘WTFFF I THOUGHT Y O U WERE SUPPOSED TO BE THE GEOGRAPHY NERD NOT ME FUCKING DUMBASS’

like he knows every language n shit but his knowledge of the buildings is trumped by a 13 year old girl who took one cruise around northern europe when she was 11.
