My father makes Tiffany-style stained glass lamps as a hobby. Here are some of the lamps in my parents’ home.

This week I got the choosing glass and cutting part of the work! It is so hard to resist all the real pretty and blingy glasses but at 240€/sqm Bullseye is out of my budget. I splurged a bit on those unique pieces of antique glass but even that is "only" 130€/sqm. And I bought two pieces from classmates who had them lying around :D
The plum purple looks almost black without light, and it's going to be the background, the colour of the fan itself. It's Corella glass. The patterned pink, purple and red glasses are going to be the lotus flower. Mostly antique glass but the purple piece is from Armstrong Glass and not from out school storage originally, classmate bought it herself from somewhere else. The lilac solid colour is actually Bullseye but I've had that piece for 2 years so it's not a current purchase and thus I can get away with it~ And then the yellow-orange is Chinese glass and it's going to be the tips of the fan.

Not far off from the Zócalo is the historic Gran Hotel Ciudad de Mexico, and while the lobby in general is a show-stopper, the thing you must do if you stop in there is to look up at the positively stunning 1908 Tiffany stained glass roof. Originally made in Paris, it was brought over to Mexico City and has survived multiple significant earthquakes.
