Finished my Future Titan Luz design! I actually came up with some lore stuff for this… we’ll call it an AU, sure.
- She designed the glyph on her chest (a sort of combination of the original light glyph and King’s), which she uses to transform. It needs to be tied to a physical object, so of course she used Amity’s Hecate necklace. It requires some sort of ingredient to transform, so she doesn’t do it often (I was thinking maybe a drop of blood, but that might be a little too dark)
- When she’s in this form, the glyph acts as sort of a “translator” for titan magic- she can cast glyphs without having to draw them, but King or another titan (which, yk, there are none) has to be nearby. When casting glyph combos, she has to “draw” them in the air like a spell circle
- The long purple cloak is a transformed version of her purple shirt from her normal time skip design
- For a while she tries not to transform in front of Amity because the first time she did it Amity tomato’d so hard she passed out
Feel free to use this design but PLEASE do me the kindness of tagging me! Both for credit and because if anyone else actually uses this design I desperately want to see lol
(also please reblog don’t repost thank you)

Loving the paralells between Luz and King's Dad and Luz and Manny. Both the Boiling Isles and him helped her understand herself. She communicated with them, loved them, cherished them and the time they spent together. And they helped her flourish into the person she is.
But now they're both gone, and a part of her went with them. She can't do glyph magic anymore; her knowledge of The Titan's language won't let her do magic anymore, at least not in the way that she's used to.
I think there was a large comfort in being just a few symbols away from magic, no matter where she was on the Isles. I think that it might have felt sort of parental to Luz (just like Manny): no matter how dire of straits she was in, The Titan was always there to aid her.
She was always there, too. She was everything, Her magic flowed through everything on the Isles. And by knowing Her language, it's like the entire Isles could understand Luz too. She could speak to the Titan, and He spoke back to her. And now He can't because He's gone.
She'll miss having such a strong connection to the Isles she loves so dearly. She'll miss yanking the chaos of the Isles into roaring fires and crystalizing it's tranquility into cold, hard ice. She'll miss plucking the light from the skies and pulling plants from the earth.
Even when Luz learns how to use Stringbean and even in the timeskip when Luz starts learning King's glyph language, the magic will be alot more personal. That doesn't mean its worse, not by a long shot. Luz loves magic and she loves her family and it will mean the world to her that her magic comes from her bond with them.
However, the time when she was able to speak to all the Isles with her magic is an memory that will always stay with her, just like her memories of her father.
The best part is the memories do stay with her! The time and love and growth that the Titan and Manny shared with her won't ever go away. Luz still keeps Manny's gift to her in the timeskip, she stays with the Isles that he helped her discover.
She also keeps the old light glyph pinned to her wall too. She plans on studying the Titan's language at college, even if there's no Titan to speak it with.
The love that Luz gives and the love that she is given is something that will never ever go away, even as time and circumstance change. And I love that so very much.

Everyone’s on about the Hooty in Queen Titan’s eye, and I’m pretty sure it’s a stylistic choice, like his dad-like appearance, with the coven top ‘n’ such.
I mean, the Owl House was Luz’s second home. She probably wanted her to feel at home with him, so he had the hooty coming out of her eye. I mean, sure, it could mean something else, but why would he have one and not King?
Of course, this is my personal headcanon from what I can gather. I’d love to hear your thoughts on this

god writing the collector’s pov really is so fun...ive noticed that i have to actively force myself to use his name in his narration (ie. it’ll be ‘he did x’ rather than ‘the collector did x’) which i was just doing based on the Vibes of his narrative voice but it actually fits so well with the idea that like.
‘the collector’ is just. what other people call him. so its his name, but...its not like he feels any sort of connection to it! so he never uses it for himself, which fits SO WELL because by the end of toh daemon au he renames himself!! not entirely sure what it will be yet (most likely something related to ‘little stardust’ since thats what firefly/the owl beast calls him n that is His Mom) but just. the power of going from a narration that never uses a name, to choosing this name and using it for himself....
COLLECTOR. MY LITTLE SILLY GUY. god yall i love them SO SO MUCH he is going to get so much love in this au dgkjdfg

That episode was everything! I had a post ready and my phone decided to delete it.
So much happened in 22 minutes. I was squealing the entire time and my partner almost cried. I was so excited to see Raine and Darius at the end. Also when Eda asked Luz if she would rather go to the beach and Luz basically said Disney said no. And Steve’s face reveal 100/10 better than Belos’ any day. Then there’s Raeda and LUZ IS FINALLY CARVING HER PALISMAN!!!!!! I’m so excited!!!!
So this episode and Labyrinth Runners are probably happening simultaneously. Darius probably did find Hunter after Hollow Mind, calmed Hunter down, explained their plan, and told him to stay at Hexside while he and the others got Eda, Luz, and the rest of them. They probably sent the guards to capture Eda and them and bring them to Raine so they could be safe and fight together but Eda obviously saw this as Belos coming for them after Luz was in his mind and since they couldn’t get Eda they took her stuff to lure her to the warehouse to capture her there and then as we saw she and Raine talked, they explained everything, and all that.
Also Eda still has the Bat Queen’s whistle so she’ll probably make an appearance in the final battle.
Now, I have screenshots:

Thinking of how the Titan showed Luz the first glyph, Light, because she was kind to his son and listened to him, made him feel like his interests mattered when so many others overlooked the little guy and didn’t care about people like him. He didn’t force Luz to painstakingly find it on her own, as Philip did; The Titan freely gave this to her.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Then the second glyph, Ice, comes when Luz takes the moment to listen to the Titan; To say that she’ll learn on his terms, she’ll respect his body and work with him. Luz paid attention to the unheard son, and now the parent, speaking with and not for him as Philip did.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
She gets the Plant glyph afterwards by continuing to follow that principle and give his son fun and company...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And the final glyph, Fire? Wing it like Witches is a major epiphany for Luz’s development, where it really hits her that she can’t drag her friends around in her attempts to play out certain beloved tropes and story beats she grew up on; In particular, this episode was about her desire to be the underdog hero, dragging Willow into relatively high-stakes consequences for a Grudgby match she did not ask for.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sound familiar? I wonder if the Titan was low key afraid of Luz following in Philip’s steps, recognized that similar hero complex... Even if Luz was nowhere near as evil as Belos, well. Philip started off from somewhere, he didn’t begin as a genocidal dictator with countless sins to his name, he built his way up. Maybe the Titan is just being paranoid, Luz is so young after all! But in the end, he hid one final glyph from Philip because of his need for control, and it was admittedly Luz who jeopardized this precaution by giving Philip the Light spell.
Yet in Wing it like Witches, Luz really matures when she steps up and takes responsibility for her recklessness, for subsuming Willow’s problem and low key making it about herself, and what she decides for the group. Luz takes the full consequences of the stakes she set up so neither Willow nor Gus have to, and it’s this mature gesture of self-awareness that prompts them to reciprocate and forgive Luz.
So I wonder if THAT moment was what solidified to the Titan that yes, I really can trust this child. This human, the first after centuries of another who has been desecrating my corpse, bastardizing my name; She truly didn’t know any better, and meant well, teaching Philip the Titan’s last glyph. The first few glyphs were like little gifts, but giving Luz the last one meant she had full access to all of the Titan’s magic, so long as she experimented with glyph combos. And the Titan felt safe to entrust her with something he barred from Philip, because why?
Because Luz got over that fatal flaw of Philip’s; The desire to be the hero at any cost. That proved she wouldn’t follow in his footsteps, she diverged at a crucial point, and it meant she’d never become another Belos. They both worked and studied for the glyphs, but what mattered was the compassion that Luz had, and it was her kindness that began her discovery of glyphs. The Titan could trust his final glyph to her, Fire... But as he’d find out, it wasn’t even his final gift to Luz, either.
There really is this recurring arc of hesitancy from the Titan; Someone who was used, betrayed, and taken advantage of. And knew how easy it was for the same to happen to his son. So to see the little ways in which he opens up, recognizes Luz’s kindness and maturity and responds to each step in her growth... It’s like someone learning to trust again, realizing they’ve really found a friend after all. It’s no wonder Luz is treated like an old friend by the Titan, because she is one, and it makes his final gift and farewell to her all the more impactful.
On a lighter note! I’m just imagining the Titan figuring out how to show Luz the Fire glyph, after deciding he’ll do just that. I keep thinking of him watching Luz in the Grudgby game, cheering her on and giving Luz support by illuminating his last glyph in Boscha’s fire; “Here kid, take this!” It’s such a relatively casual and silly moment too, because the Titan isn’t obsessed with the theatrics and drama of godhood.
