Month 6 - Greenleaf
“Who do you think their mentors are gonna be?” Ospreymask asked, bouncing along ahead of her patrol mates. “I hope I get one of them, I would love for Barleykit to be my first apprentice. Or maybe Sparrowkit! Floodkit would probably be too much for me to handle, I think.” Russetfrond sighed heavily. She had been rambling about the kits for at least ten minutes now - about their favorite games, about the way they slept or talked or ate. It wasn’t that Russetfrond didn’t like kits or Oddstripe’s litter in general but he was starting to hope he would never hear the word cute again in his life.
“Probably,” laughed Yarrowshade who had been no help at all, “I don’t think I could handle mentoring Floodkit.”
“Can we please change the topic?” Russetfrond groaned. “I feel like a rat is hollowing out my skull.”
“What, you aren’t excited to see who Goldenstar assigns them to?” Ospreymask turned back to look at him as she kept bouncing and frolicking along the EarthClan border.
Russetfrond made a noise in the back of his throat. “StarClan, no. With our luck she’ll give Floodkit to Scorch and take the other two for herself.” He could just picture it, Goldenstar declaring that only she and her new counselor understood how to properly teach apprentices how to be open minded and compassionate.
“Okay, who would you assign them to then?” huffed Yarrowshade indignantly. “Obviously you know better than everyone.”
“Easy,” Russetfrond stated, tail high. “I would give Floodkit to Nightfrost, she’s experienced as a warrior and a mentor and she has a firm paw to keep him in line with. I’d give Sparrowkit to Pantherhaze who would teach him to think through his actions and remember his duty. And then I’d give Barleykit to Ospreymask,” at this the dark tabby gave an excited ‘mrrp’, “because she already has rapport with the kit and would be able to pull her out of her shell.” Yarrowshade huffed again, quieter this time, and Russetfrond couldn’t help a bit of a smirk from sliding onto his features. Yarrowshade couldn’t deny that his choices were well justified.
“You should tell that to Goldenstar,” Ospreymask purred, “put in a good word for me.”
“Yeah,” he laughed harshly, “Maybe she’d even get permission from Scorch to hear me out.”
“Knock it off, man” Yarrowshade growled sourly.
Russetfrond laughed sharply through his nose and fixed his gaze on his pouting clanmate. “Aw, did I hit a sore spot?” he mocked, “I forgot the fox had you wrapped around her paw too.”
“You’re just grumpy you’re not leader,” Yarrowshade countered. Russetfrond noted that he failed to address any of his accusations.
“So what if I am?” he shrugged. “That doesn’t make Goldenstar any more right or the fox any more trustworthy.”
“Stop calling her that,” said Yarrowshade through gritted teeth.
“Or what?” laughed Russetfrond, his posture still relaxed. He was pretty sure he could beat Yarrowshade if it came to a fight. They’d sparred in the past and Russetfrond was still the bigger and stockier opponent. Yarrowshade was a good hunter but he was terrible at defense.
Sensing the tension in the air, Ospreymask laughed forcibly and said, “H-hey! Are those twolegs?”
Yarrowshade rolled his eyes. “Oh, I get it. You want me to get physical so you can feel all superior. Not gonna happen.”
“That’s what I thought,” Russetfrond said smugly.
“What’s that supposed to mean?” hissed Yarrowshade, fur bristling.
“You’re a coward is what,” he replied.
“Guys, seriously,” Ospreymask cut in, her voice more forceful. “I think those are twolegs.” This finally got the toms’ attention and they pulled their eyes off of each other to look out over the border to the edge of the trees where two or three twolegs were crouched amidst the grass, working intently at something with their paws. The patrol stopped to watch them for a moment, a hush falling over them instinctively. Russetfrond frowned. Last time he’d spotted twolegs in the grass Sagetooth had been caught in one of their hunting traps, the kind that usually snagged coyotes and foxes. He thought these looked like different twolegs but he couldn’t be sure without getting close enough to scent them. Even with them over the border, their presence made his stomach twist.
A soft rustle of grass nearby pulled his attention and he tensed automatically. The smell of vole and EarthClan hit his nose a moment before a small, pale blue and ginger tabby pounced into the open a couple fox lengths away. She sat up proudly with the catch between her teeth and glanced around, freezing when her eyes caught on the RisingClan patrol. She dropped the vole immediately and licked the blood from her lips as if doing so would hide any proof that she had caught it.
“Um…” she started, seeming like she might just sprint away.
“Hey, there!” Yarrowshade called softly, so as not to draw the attention of the twolegs, “Nice catch.”
“Uh, thanks,” she smiled anxiously and glanced over her shoulder. Behind her, Sprucespeckle padded out of the grass and grinned at the patrol.
“Afternoon,” she said warmly, “is there any trouble here?”
“Nah,” Ospreymask grinned back. “I think she’s still on your side of the border. We’re all good.” Russetfrond wouldn’t have let the apprentice off the hook that quickly but she was probably right.
The tortoiseshell let out a deep breath, shoulders slacking and bobbed her head in a respectful bow. “Thank you. I didn’t realize I was so close.”
“Just be careful in the future,” Russetfrond said, shifting his weight. It was a genuine warning but he hoped his voice didn’t hold any threatening tones.
“I will be,” the apprentice said dutifully.
“Any idea what the twolegs are up to?” Yarrowshade asked, pointing with a jerk of his muzzle.
“Not sure,” said Sprucespeckle, following his gaze to frown in their direction. “They’re digging I think. Not sure what for.”
“Maybe they cached some prey and they’re trying to find it?” Ospreymask mused.
“I don’t think twolegs do that,” Yarrowshade chuckled. “Their noses are too bad, they’d never find them again.”
“Oh, yeah…” Ospreymask frowned.
“Orangestar thinks they’re trying to find roots or something,” said Sprucespeckle. “I guess we’ll have to- ” At that moment, a sudden wail broke the air, a young and frightened cry from somewhere on EarthClan’s side of the border. Sprucespeckle snapped to attention, head pivoting about forty-five degrees from the twolegs towards the noise and the apprentice gasped.
“Toadpaw,” she whispered frightfully. Immediately, Russetfrond’s body reacted and he bounded over the border towards the noise without a thought.
Sprucespeckle said, “Dawnpaw, stay here,” and then dashed after him. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw the twolegs taking interest too. He and Sprucespeckle hurried towards the continued cries and shortly came upon Orangestar who was crouching near a small tunnel in the ground.
“It’s gonna be alright,” she said quickly, “but you’ve gotta be quiet, okay? I’ll get you out of there.” Beyond her, Russetfrond saw a pair of huge green eyes staring out of the gloom and the silver glint of something in between them and Orangestar.
“What happened?” Sprucespeckle asked as she hurried to her leader’s side.
Orangestar looked up and blinked for a moment when she saw Russetfrond but shook her head and replied, “We thought there was something in the tunnel and then as soon as he went into it, this,” she struggled for the words for a beat before settling on, “thing snapped up behind him and now he can’t get out!”
“Move over,” Russetfrond said, pushing his way down into the tunnel and Orangestar obliged. The dappled brown apprentice in front of him shook from fear as he huddled in the middle of some strange container made of thin silvery lines woven into a pattern of squares. Russetfrond grabbed one of the lines in his teeth and pulled only to find it as hard as stone and cool as a stream. The structure rattled a bit as he tugged but he couldn’t seem to pull it apart like he had expected to. He reared up and tried to pull at the top of it with his claws, again to no avail. He hissed irritably, causing the apprentice to flinch.
“It’s okay, Toadpaw,” Orangestar said before pushing back in. “Here, let me try.”
“It’s too strong to tear apart,” Russetfrond said but backed out of her way regardless. “Maybe we can dig him out.”
“You’d better hurry,” Sprucespeckle said, facing the grass with her jaws parted and her ears perked. “I think the twolegs are coming this way.”
“Fox dung,” he spat under his breath and scrambled up on top of the burrow. With urgent haste, he started to dig at the freshly churned earth - a strange thing for the roof of a tunnel, he thought - as Orangestar rattled the silver lines below him. Soon, his paws hit something other than dirt, something crinkly and slick and sturdy. He unsheathed his claws and tried to tear it open but he couldn’t seem to find any place for his claws to sink into.
“They’re almost here,” Sprucespeckle warned, voice rising anxiously. Russetfrond looked around at the situation. He made a decision.
“We have to go,” he said to Orangestar, jumping down from the top.
“What?” she exclaimed, staring at him like he had just proposed they throw themselves in the river.
“We can’t get him out and the twolegs are nearly upon us,” he said quickly. “If you stay and get caught your clan will be without a leader. We have to go.”
“Orangestar?” the apprentice cried in disbelief. The sounds of twolegs stomping through the grass were loud and close.
“Now,” hissed Russetfrond. The young leader looked quickly between him and her apprentice. Russetfrond saw the despair set in.
“Toadpaw, I’m sorry,” she mumbled, backing away.
“No!” he wailed, “No you can’t leave me!”
“I’m so sorry,” she shook her head, gaze unfocused, and Russetfrond pushed her with his shoulder. They headed into the grass, Sprucespeckle bounding ahead of them, and Toadpaw screamed.
“Please! Orangestar, please! Don’t leave me!” Russetfrond shut his ears to the noise, and focused on getting Orangestar away. He felt sick. The twolegs descended on Toadpaw and began to croon in high pitched tones and Toadpaw’s cries for help died. Russetfrond hoped the apprentice had fallen silent out of fear and not for another reason but there was no way to know for sure. Beside him, Orangestar was shaking.
“I’m so sorry,” she babbled to no one. “Stars, I’m so sorry.”
They returned to where Dawnpaw was waiting with Yarrowshade and Ospreymask. Yarrowshade immediately met Russetfrond’s gaze and there was a clear question there. ‘What did you do?’
“Where’s Toadpaw?” Dawnpaw choked out, but there was no way she hadn’t heard the screams.
“We had to leave him,” Sprucespeckle swallowed, not meeting her apprentice’s eyes. Dawnpaw’s gaze went hollow as she sat with a thump.
“Oh,” was all she said.
“You what?” Yarrowshade glared.
“We couldn’t save him,” Russetfrond said. “Maybe if we’d had more time, but it was either that or get caught with him. We had no choice.”
“Oh, Stars,” Ospreymask breathed, moving to curl her tail around Dawnpaw.
Yarrowshade’s eyes were full of fire. “You could have-”
“What, fought them?!” Russetfrond snapped, stepping forward with a bristling tail. “You know that wouldn’t have worked.”
“It could have!” Yarrowshade spat back. “You could have tried!”
“And what if we’d lost?” Russetfrond huffed darkly. “Huh? What if they’d taken Orangestar? What then, Yarrowshade?”  No response. Yarrowshade’s green eyes continued to burn but he set his jaw and fell silent. Russetfrond sighed and let his hostile posture settle.
“Trust me,” he said, “we did everything we could.”
“I’m so sorry,” Orangestar said again, looking at Dawnpaw. “I didn’t know what else to do, I-”
“It’s fine,” Dawnpaw cut her off, her face an emotionless mask. “I understand.” Russetfrond admired the response but he knew how much it must have hurt. Orangestar went quiet and looked down at her paws.
“We should go back to camp,” Sprucespeckle said after a moment.
“Us too,” Russetfrond sighed. “We need to warn everyone about these new traps.”
“Thanks for the help,” Sprucespeckle said weakly.
“Of course,” he nodded. “Be careful getting home.”
“We will,” she said, and ushered Dawnpaw to her feet. Orangestar glanced distantly at them and managed to stand a beat later. Ospreymask looked at Russetfrond now, searching his face. He wondered what she saw there. At the very least, it looked like she felt only sympathy. Yarrowshade, on the other hand, resented him, he was sure. He shrugged it off and started leading the group back into RisingClan territory. These were the kinds of choices that had to be made sometimes. In the back of his head, he wondered what Goldenstar would have done in his place.

Smokepelt becomes a medicine cat.
Applepaw, Marshpaw, and Toadpaw are apprenticed to Stumpystar, Deerfoot, and Runningnose.
Tigerclaw tries to set a trap during the journey to kill Deerfoot, hoping Marshpaw will be re-apprenticed to him. Instead, Toadpaw falls for the trap and dies. Cats are suspicious of the accident, especially ThunderClan who has seen this happen before.
Mothwing has a singular kit, Snowkit. Despite her name, and the lack of a father, Snowkit looks eerily similar to Smokepelt.

Toadtail
Toadtail was one of Brackenstars strongest followers alongside Jaggedscar. He acted as deputy when smokestride left Brackenstars group for the rebellion near the end of the war. Toadtail is a brutal tom-cat who was a dangerous enemy in battle. Despite his more... round... structure, he is quick moving. He earned the suffix tail in his name after it got mangled by a fox and required amputation. He would die in battle after his throat was sliced by Vultureface (stormclan)

Month 3 - Newleaf
Goldenstar stalked along the EarthClan border, mouth open to scent the air as she searched for the next border mark. Pantherhaze and Russetfrond padded behind her, discussing twoleg traps.
“What do you think they’re trying to catch?” Pantherhaze asked, “Prey? Us?”
“Maybe,” Russetfrond hummed thoughtfully. “Maybe they want our territory.”
“They wouldn’t have to trap us like that to take the territory,” Goldenstar huffed, lifting her head to look back at them. “They’d only need to set their monsters on us and we’d have to run.”
Russetfrond huffed right back, frowning. “You’d just let them?” One ear twitched, annoyed, and Goldenstar raised one brow at his tone.
“What would we do to stop them?” she shot back, “rub up against their legs like kittypets and beg them to leave?” Russetfrond’s hackles rolled irritably and Pantherhaze glanced back and forth between them with a sudden nervous energy.
“It’s not worth fighting, guys,” he tried but Russetfrond continued.
“We could get all the Clans together,” he said, “drive them back by the will of StarClan.”
Goldenstar let out a short, harsh laugh. Yeah, like StarClan’s will alone could stop them. Scorch came to her mind, and she had to focus on the conversation at hand to avoid drifting away into thoughts of the things Smokyrose had told her on the rogue’s behalf.
“Don’t be stupid,” she said, picking up their pace again. “You’ve seen what a monster can do to a cat without even thinking, we wouldn’t stand a chance if they were hunting us.” That seemed to be enough to shut Russetfrond’s mouth. Good, thought Goldenstar, I’d hate to have to pull rank or something. They continued on for a little while, winding along the border and remarking it when needed.
Her mind began to wander back to Scorch. The concerns she had voiced had troubled Goldenstar, to tell the truth. The worst part was that they all made sense. Now that she had been made aware of them, she wasn’t sure if she could continue living her life as she did. Sometimes, she had found, knowledge was more burden than blessing.
“Heads up,” Pantherhaze suddenly hissed and Goldenstar’s ears flicked forward, her gaze snapping back from the fog they had fallen into. Coming over the crest of the next hill, on the EarthClan side of the border was a small patrol. Goldenstar smiled as she recognized Orangestar’s bright pelt weaving through the grass beside her new apprentice, Toadpaw. Goldenstar raised her tail to greet them and Orangestar did the same. The patrols met halfway and Goldenstar smiled at her friend.
“Oragnestar,” she purred, “good to see you! Prey running well?”
The ginger she-cat purred in reply, feathery tail swishing back and forth. “Yes, what about you?” Beside her, Toadpaw stepped anxiously from foot to foot, a grimace on his face. Goldenstar hoped she wasn’t the source of his nerves.
“Likewise,” she nodded. “Although I could do with a bit more rain, if I’m being honest.”
The last member of the EarthClan patrol, a fluffy white queen named Bogmist, spoke up, posture calm. “Stormwhisper says we shouldn’t have to wait long. Next moon should bring plenty of rain.”
“Good to know!” Pantherhaze grinned. Russetfrond flicked his tail, less enthused.
A thought struck Goldenstar. “Uh, Orangestar!” she said without thinking, causing Toadpaw to flinch and Orangestar to blink and then chuckle.
“Goldenstar!” she joked in kind.
Goldenstar blushed and licked her whiskers. “Sorry,” she laughed, “but um, would you mind talking with me for a moment? I have some thoughts I’d love to get your opinion on.”
“Really?” asked Orangestar, blinking in surprise again. As the youngest and least experienced leader, she must not have considered that someone almost two years older than her would want her advice. “Um, sure! O-of course!” She turned to Bogmist and added, “Do you think you and Toadpaw could finish the patrol without me?”
“Sure,” Bogmist smiled and bumped her head against Orangestar’s shoulder. “Come on, Toadpaw.” The apprentice stayed rooted to the spot for a moment, seemingly loathe to leave his mentor behind, but eventually ducked his head and slunk after the warrior. Goldenstar caught a nervous glance back at her and the other RisingClanners.
“I’ll catch up with you guys at camp,” she said to her warriors. Pantherhaze nodded dutifully and Russetfrond puffed a bit at the chance to take charge of the patrol.
He flicked his tail across the small black cat’s side and headed off. “Let’s go, Pantherhaze, we’re already behind as it is.”
Pantherhaze blushed and bounded to catch up with him. “S-sure thing, Russetfrond!” Goldenstar watched them go with a bit of a chuckle, before returning her attention to the expectant smile on Orangestar’s face.
“So, what did you want to talk about?” asked the younger cat, brimming with curiosity.
“It’s a bit of a long story,” Goldenstar admitted bashfully. “See, we took in a rogue last moon-”
“A rogue?” Orangestar cut in, shocked, “Really?”
“Yeah,” said Goldenstar, sitting down. “Her name is Scorch and she’s been considering sticking around.” That wasn’t exactly true. More like Goldenstar had been trying to convince her to stay. Orangestar settled down on her side of the border, mouth agape. “But she’s got some… concerns with the way we do things. Smokyrose has helped her bring them to my attention and now I’m… not sure what to do.”
“What kind of concerns?” asked Orangestar.
Goldenstar chuckled. “She says we’re a cult.”
“A cult?! That’s ridiculous!” Orangestar curled her tail firmly over her paws and shook her head.
“Maybe,” Goldenstar said, less sure. “She says we remind her of other groups that were… designed to keep the cats inside them from leaving. I figured I ought to hear her out.”
“I suppose…” said Orangestar, ears flattening like an apprentice being scolded for a foolhardy battle tactic.
“Like, she says the way we talk about StarClan - like they’re the be-all, end-all - rubs her wrong. She thinks Sagetooth and I just claim to talk to them in order to gain power.”
“Okay, but that is ridiculous,” Orangestar said. “We both know exactly how real they are.”
“True,” Goldenstar ran a paw over her forehead, remembering the burning sensation she had felt when Sunstar’s nose had touched it and her ninth life had flooded through her blood like fire.
That life had been for curiosity. Never stop asking questions, Sunstar had said. You will never know everything and accepting that is the first step to being a good leader. No one knows everything, not even me. Not even StarClan. The words had gone unsaid, but Goldenstar knew her mentor well enough to see them in her eyes.
“But StarClan are just cats,” she continued. “Just like us. Maybe we do abuse their name sometimes. I mean, how often does invoking StarClan end an argument? Isn’t it concerning that if we wanted to, we could just pretend they agreed with whatever we already wanted to do?”
Orangestar winced. “Yeah… I guess that’s a good point…”
“She says the fact that cats change their names when they join a Clan is manipulative too,” Goldenstar continued, finally letting all of these thoughts spill out of her. “Says that the way we talk about kittypets, that we don’t really talk to anyone outside of our own Clans, it’s all designed to keep us from seeing new ideas or deciding to leave.”
Orangestar’s ears were back against her head again. “What else are we supposed to do?” She asked, anxious frustration pulling at her voice. “Go be kittypets?”
“No, I don’t think so but… I think maybe we shouldn’t run them off on sight. Maybe she’s got a point, maybe we should… listen to them, see what they can teach us.”
Orangestar shook her head. “I don’t know… Our laws keep us strong. Without them, the Clans would fall, wouldn’t they?”
“We don’t know that,” said Goldenstar, “We don’t know anything except what we’ve already tried.”
“It sounds to me like you’ve already made a decision,” frowned Orangestar and Goldenstar’s stomach sank when she realized her friend was right.
“I guess so…” she sighed. “Thanks for letting me ramble anyways. I hope you’ll think about what I said though.”
Orangestar stood, paws shuffling awkwardly. “Yeah… I’ll bring it up with Stormwhisper at least.”
“Thanks,” said Goldenstar, rising to her feet as well. “I’ll see you around.”
“Sure thing,” Orangestar nodded, seeming distant, and turned to head after her patrol. Goldenstar sighed. That could have gone better. Perhaps she was talking to the wrong person. Heading home, she resolved to ask Sagetooth about a trip to the River of Stars.

RECENT EVENTS IN BLIZZARDCLAN
Tumblr media
Moon 4 - March 2023
The gathering is normal this moon. Cats mingle and the leaders Dovemoon and Dragonsun only have minor tension between them, watching each other from the corner of their eyes. Unseen from the crowd, Bloomclan warrior Ivoryclaw reunites with his long lost son Toadpaw of Blizzardclan. They promise to see each other again, Lambsong acting as a guardian for the apprentice.
During the gathering, a task force of Starlingfall, Thawheart, Cloudburst, Frozenfire, and Hailcoat is sent out under the guise of testing the Moon's Eye for loose stone. Only the deputy and keeper know they are looking for a sign from the Seelie Court. After discovering a petrified egg with a strange aura pulsing from a crack in its shell, they head home and present it to Dovemoon. He orders their silence on the matter. The other Keepers and Medics are informed of the discovery.
Onionpaw and Garlicpaw become Onionpounce and Harrierveil, the latter asking for an appeal in an odd way of speech not known to modern Blizzardclan. Dovemoon accepts and he is renamed.
Coldwind is restrained and reprimanded for her abuse towards Meltingkit. The kit is renamed Galepaw and given the mentor Songbird. Coldwind is soon exiled after with the threat of death on her heels by Starlingfall, Paintedsnap, and Slushpaw. The patrol gains some scars and gives some scars. Slushpaw receives a harsh belly wound from the encounter. Coldwind joins exiles Snowscape and Auroraveil outside Blizzardclan's borders. The majority of the clan approves of this action, however a minor few think Dovemoon could have handled it before the ceremony.
Moon 5 - April 2023
Snowflakepaw attacks Slushpaw while he is healing in the medic den from the wounds inflicted by Coldwind. A struggle of pride and ego between the two young cats. Ebonyfrost is quick to pull the apprentices apart and scold Snowflakepaw for attacking a hurt clanmate. Her punishment is double apprentice duty, not being allowed to attended the next 4 Gatherings (not including next moon's), and confinement to camp (unless to fetch herbs, and only with a ward) to assist the medics for two moons.
Due to the rise of warm weather and heavy snows last season, an AVALANCHE rocks the territory. Several cats are caught in the disaster. Keepers, Medics, and teams of warriors as assists are sent to rescue them.
The death toll rings at four. Blizzardclan mourns the losses of Asterlight, Heatherpounce, Frostclaw, and Mudcrackle. The loss of Asterlight breaks widow Thunderscar and son Sagepaw, while the death of Mudcrackle causes a public disowning of the nephews left behind, Onionpounce and Harrierveil. Orchidmelt, Beastcall, Paintedsnap, Mallowstem, Rimeshine, Tempestwatcher, and Starlingfall have the most severe injuries. Most have recovered in present time, however Rimeshine was paralyzed and is currently undergoing physical therapy.
Toadpaw, Onionpounce, Thunderscar, and Charcoalspark are injured minorly and recover within the moon. During the avalanche, Ebonyfrost finds outsiders Doomsday and Smalls under the snow. He enacts his right to heal all in crisis and Dovemoon hesitantly allows them to stay. It is noted Smalls has offered to help Blizzardclan's injured. Dovemoon accepts the offer and he acts as an assistant to Hawkdust. Not many want to be treated by him due to Blizzardclan's wariness of outsiders.
Funeral rites are prepared for the deceased cats and what remains of Asterlight.
Dovemoon announces a new law once all cats are accounted for. No cat will travel the territory unaccompanied. It is unclear if this law is permanent or temporary.
Only Ebonyfrost attends the half moon gathering due to the critical condition of BlizzardClan. When he dreams, he is whispered that those who died during the avalanche are safe in the Seelie Court. He is conflicted on this message
Sphinxtongue is welcomed as a BloomClan Medic Apprentice by the Court. He reveals to the rest that there are growing holes in the Seelie's territory leading into utter darkness. When they return home, Ebonyfrost informs Dovemoon, Starlingfall, and Hawkdust. This is kept between the HRs of Blizzardclan and the Keepers.
A vision is held at the Moon's Eye by Dovemoon, his medics, and two keepers. An invisible fae leave paw prints and grows herbs within the slush. "Let the seed take root", it whispers. This vision is kept in Dovemoon's circle to discuss the implications. Despite controversy stirred by Ebonyfrost insistence it's a sign he is no longer approved of by the fae and the more conservative minds disliking the idea of Outsiders joining them, it is taken as an optimistic sign by the majority to welcome Smalls and Doomsday.
Moon 6 - May 2023
The gathering is not held this moon due to the losses caused by the Avalanche.
Smalls is welcomed into Blizzardclan as a medic apprentice due to Widowleaf running away soon after the avalanche, not wishing to bare the weight of the role. To more private ears, the positive sign given by the fae helps his case. It is yet to be determined if guest Doomsday will be joining as well.
All medics are present this moon, including newest apprentice Smalls. After some introductions and light conversation they dream.
Smalls is greeted by Galeforce and is welcomed as a medic apprentice of Blizzardclan by the Court. He is shown the dark cracks within the territory and is asked to help the Seelie Court in its time of need. The dream is ending. He awakes to provide a new perspective on this idea. He tells his fellow medics the Seelie Court may be more physical than they realize, as a dream needs a sleeping cat to create it.
When Dovemoon can not find Lambsong in camp, he sends a small patrol made up of Rushpore, Silvertalon, and Charcoalspark to fetch her despite minor protests for faer not being gone for long. He replies he is worried for her safety, with the lingering threat of Coldwind. Slushpaw grows ill at the mention of her. The patrol finds faer with Rainsoot not far out from camp. After some debate about why they are trying to bring them home, the two eventually come back to camp to be confronted by Dovemoon.
He declares due to the threat of Coldwind that no monarchs may leave the nursery, so they are protected from the threat. A loud half of the clan protest this rule. Dovemoon, surprised by this outrage, backpedals on his initial idea. Dovemoon makes it a new law. No perma-monarch or temporary monarchs may leave camp. As a result, Trumpetscorn and Grasswhistle step down from their positions as perma-monarchs to not be contained. Lambsong and Hypervoice remain.
Thawheart is promoted to temporary deputy while Starlingfall is confined to camp for the next six moons. This choice receives a luke-warm response.
Moon 7 - June 2023
Starlingfall gives birth to two kits, Killdeerkit and Raptorkit. Despite not commenting on the sire.. all can tell these two are mirror images of Antlercrest, even though the two are proclaimed enemies. Judgement and humor is found in this reveal.
