I just realized:

The Collector from the Owl Beast's memory turned their victims into pieces of paper/scrolls in order to "preserve" the consciousness while destroying the corporeal form, and storing them in a more traditional "archive". That's why the Owl Beast and Eda are so intertwined: Eda is essentially the host body for the Beast's soul.

Luz finished high school on the isles, spending weekends and holidays in the demon realm

Flapjack was a gift to Caleb from Evelyn, and was probably the turning point in both their relationship and in caleb's acceptance of magic

neither Hunter nor Eda know about Eda's relation to Evelyn and Caleb (but it was hinted Gwendolyn might...)

The shack behind Luz's house where the portal is was originally where Caleb and Phillip lived; it was basically a ruin until Eda fixed it up during her time in the human realm

eda carved Owlbert herself, AFTER she got cursed as a way of reclaiming and accepting the owlbeast

Raine's palisman was hidden as part of their violin (you can see the head in the scroll). It did not die when the violin got smashed, and Dell helped repair the staff

I think I can pinpoint the exact years Caleb and Phillip went to the boiling isles and when they were born.

On the Owl House Wiki, on The Gravesfield tab it says Gravesfield was founded in 1635.

The Connecticut Witch Trials occurred 11 years later. And if we look on the Wethersfield Historical Society page, it says:

“Epidemics visited the region in 1647 and 1648.” As we know, Caleb and Phillip were orphans when they came to Gravesfield and we also know travel was probably limited back then. So it’s possible their parents were killed from a disease back then in a neighboring town. So it can be assumed Caleb and Phillip moved to Gravesfield sometime in 1648-1649. If we looked at pictures from Hollow Mind, we can see that Caleb wasn’t lured away until years after they arrived in Gravesfield.

They both look very young in the first photo. But Phillip looks younger. So they were most likely born in different years. I’d say it’s a safe bet of a 2-4 year age gap. And considering how young they look, I’d think Phillip is around 8 years old and Caleb is around 11 years old. And if that memory occurred soon after they arrived in Gravesfield, let’s say 1649, then that puts Phillip’s date of birth in 1641 and Caleb’s date of birth of 1638! Now the photos afterwards seem to have gaps of times between them. In the photo where Caleb is looking at the fire, I’d say Caleb looks 15/16ish which makes Phillip 12-13 years old. But when Phillip finds himself in the Demon Realm, he looks much older, possibly 16. So I theorize that Evelyn set up a portal connection between them for years, and Phillip wasn’t able to find it. When he does, I think he watches Caleb go in, but doesn’t follow him immediately, otherwise they would’ve found each other immediately in the memories instead of Phillip looking in his 20s when he sees Caleb. (Caleb magically looks the same what?-) I think Phillip went back to Gravesfield, told them about the Witch that lured his brother into a portal, grabbed his book, bag, and coat, and went back after the portal. It would have been quick, because the portal most likely would’ve closed quickly. 5 minutes at most. So when everyone from town came back with fire or whatever, Phillip went in first and the portal closed right after. Obviously Evelyn, being the smart witch she was, would’ve known someone came through and probably had a way of making sure no one was outside when she went through. So she kept Caleb with her and permanently closed the portal. Caleb obviously would’ve wanted to go back and find his brother, so they set to work on making a new portal that would open in a different location, aka the portal door, which was completed near the same time Caleb found him, and Evelyn buried it so Phillip would never find it (spoiler alert, he found it, but like 300 years later). But I got off topic bc I like theorizing. In conclusion, that means Caleb and Phillip went missing in 1657, roughly. I’m probably incorrect and someone on the owl house crew probably already said the year, but whatever. That also means Phillip is like 380 years old haha.

tl;dr: Caleb was born in 1638, Phillip was born in 1641, and both were lured away in 1657.

Collector Theory

When King frees the Collector, the disk that had been holding them cracked in two. There was similarly-broken disk with the Titan Trappers, meaning that the Collector had been trapped and freed once before. 

We’ve seen the Collector roaming free on a previous occasion, in the Owl Beast’s nightmare, on a DIFFERENT Titan.  The Titan from Edge of the World, in fact! 

They had been imprisoned on THIS Titan ages ago and freed, until they were eventually defeated.

Compared to the flashback, the Collector’s new appearance is quite different. Not only is their voice much younger sounding (despite having the same VA), they’re also much more childish in their actions, focusing on play. They’re also way shorter, the moon and sun pattern on their clothes is mirrored, and their face is visible.

I think this Collector is a child of the original. "A child from the stars”, they arrived on a shooting star (meteor).

Like the dinosaurs, the original Collector was the meteor heralding the apocalypse of the Titans. The BI Titan locked this new one away in order to protect his son (King) from the same fate he saw befall the rest of his kind.

I’m seeing suggestions that the woman in the mural is Evelyn and honestly I’m torn between Eda and Evelyn right now. Eda has the gem but that could be the Titan’s eye key, the hair is too light for Evelyn but the dress doesn’t look red, and this seems to be set in the Savage Ages TM and Eda wasn’t born yet. The fang looks like Eda’s but we haven’t seen Evelyn’s face bc it’s been wiped out or hidden in all her pics. The magic could be either Eda or Evelyn because they both make gold spell circles and use fire, although Evelyn is very associated with fire while Eda’s magic is more general/open. But I made an Evelyn that matches her just so ya’ll could see what she’d look like if this is her.

Thoughts, theories, or clues I've missed as to WHY he does that??? Because I think he did it before Evelyn shot/cursed him, if his blue eyes are anything to go by.

Idk if it's because I'm not American that I scratch my head at it, but I've searched high and low and can't find anything it might refer to, other than the typical skin**lker iconography of a monster looking deer.

There wasn't really stuff like this (that I could find) in any pequot tribes either that might've inspired Caleb's first mask for Philip.

In their playtime as children in the memories, Caleb was the witch, and Pip wore the mask as a hunter. But I can't for the life of me figure out why.

I've also been rewatcing the movie THE VVITCH that came out in 2015. Since it's a folk horror movie taking place in a Puritan new england setting, the brother that dies gets lured by a witch in the forest, and his name is Caleb. It's a pretty grotesque horror, so I thought maybe Dana was inspired by it. But I can't find anything there either that might thread insight, other than maybe that she saw the movie and liked the name Caleb and that's it.

I think the mask might just be..... because the crew thought it looked cool. LoL.
