Everett Ross x Black Fem!Reader - Unknown Chapters

Work Summary: Sequel to Agent or Princess, part 2 of Royal Agency. Reader and Everett need a vacation. So they leave to see Reader’s family in Wakanda, where Reader has a happy surprise waiting for Everett.

Chapter 1: Time Away

Summary: Reader convinces Everett that they need a vacation. So they go to a country that has already welcomed them with open arms.

Notes: umhlobo = friend

Hopefully, I got the write translation. Please let me know if I need to fix it.

“Everett, please! We need this!”

“We just went on vacation!”

You threw your hands in the air. “Two years ago after I first moved in! We are long overdue.”

Everett signed and looked up from his desk. You had come into your shared office to approach the idea of getting away. Needless to say, it wasn’t going well.

“What’s going on, ___? I’ve never seen you this wound up before.”

You sighed as you moved closer to his desk. “I- I’ve been feeling buried at work lately. The Avengers are doing what they can with how few of them there are and I almost feel like I live at the compound. And you’ve been working overtime with the new recruits. We barely even have date nights anymore, Ev.”

He ran his hands over his face before sitting back in his chair. “You’re right. You’re right. We live under the same roof and yet it seems like we see each other less.”

Smiling, you walked around his desk and sat on the edge next to his chair. “Which is why we need to get away. Let Robins train the new agents.”

Hello! May I request a fic of fem!Reader being married to Ser Jorah Mormont (like after his divorce from Lynesse Hightower, fem!Reader and Jorah fall in love and get married) and Reader is as devoted and loving to Jorah and he is to her no matter the trials they go through (I just want some fluff)?

I just love writing for Jorah. This is a little short, but hopefully I can write more for him soon (outside of Queen’s Guard, lol!)

The Bear and the Maiden Fair: Jorah Mormont x Fem!Reader

Jorah never thought he would see the day, when he could be happy again. But here he was...with you. He can barely remember when you met, but the how stands out: Khaleesi.

It was so long ago, in the Western Market of Vaes Dothrak, that he first saw you. The Western Market was not one he had frequented as the traders were from lands such as Yi Ti, Qarth, and Asshai. The latter where you had hailed from. But Daenerys was curious about the food and wine you were selling and so often she went, dragging her Bear along. 

When you first laid eyes on Jorah, you were struck by how handsome he was, and Daenerys noticed that. So she asked questions about where you were from for Jorah. But Asshai was a mysterious land that few in Westeros and Essos knew about. And at first, you didn’t want to fill in the gaps of knowledge, afraid it would chase the Bear off.

But Jorah provided to be far more stubborn than you realized. Almost more than you were. And Daenerys could see it. She wanted her longest supporter to be happy and so she would frequent the Western Market. Which meant Jorah frequented as well, wanting to protect her while Khal Drogo was gone hunting.

It wasn’t long before you and the Bear became close. You were the one who convinced Jorah to be honest with Daenerys. You were the one who talked Drogo down from killing him once the truth came out, explaining why Jorah did what he did and how he wasn’t the same man any more. You were the one who stood by his side to protect Daenerys from her brother, Viserys. 

And when the khalasar left Vaes Dothrak, you were by his side. Wanting to see more of the world west of the Dothraki sea. So of course, Daenerys did all she could to push you two together.

Now, you were the lady to the Master of Laws, living with Jorah inside the Red Keep. The wars were a blur, but now the realm was united under a dragon banner once again. 

“What is on that mind of yours, my love?”

Jorah turned at your voice, not able to help the smile that crossed his face. You were in a red gown trimmed in black. Since Jorah could no longer be the Lord of Bear Island, Daenerys had declared you both were her family and now dawned the colors of House Targaryen. And perhaps he was bias, but they looked good on you.

“I was merely thinking how incredibly lucky I was that our queen insisted on visiting the Western Market back in Vaes Dothrak,” his gravely voice was always comforting to you.

You smiled. “Lucky, indeed. Anyone else would have steered clear of our mysterious wares.”

Jorah chuckled as he pulled you close. “Very little would scare our queen away.”

“You, as well, it seems. The mysterious lady from the Shadow Lands of Asshai didn’t fighten the Bear of Westeros.”

“Never,” he leaned down to kiss your lips. Jorah couldn’t remember a time he was this happy and would do whatever it took to keep it.

“Honey,” he growls, the low baritone flaring heavy and hot in your stomach and it’s hard to tell if he’s genuinely scolding you for being bold or if it’s all just part of the act but you don’t care because his breath fans across your cheek and his nose follows the line of your jaw and it makes your breath flutter as you cling to his arms.

Then his voice dips to an octave that snags every one of your senses, drawing your eyes down to his mouth.

“If I kiss you right now, it would really sell it.”

“Worth a shot,” you manage, breathlessly.

totally agree with your post celebrating poc. do you know any creators who do that? especially creators of color? or any events that are geared towards poc?

There's @arwenindomiel, @endillos, @tolkienblackgirl, @brighter-arda, @hobbitlotrpoc and @fyeahsilmpocs. The last one is inactive and hobbitlotrpoc is rarely active these days. tolkienblackgirl has a mix of Tolkien and non-Tolkien content.

There's also this post and arwenindomiel's directory for diverse content creators, which unfortunately I can't find the link for at the moment. If I do find it, I'll come back and add it to this post.

For events, South Asian Tolkien Week is coming up in just under three weeks time.

Top 5 characters who secretly have a sweet tooth, and each's sweet of choice?

Ty so much for asking!! I’m going off of X-Men/Marvel characters that I don’t write a lot for, but that I think are super cool

1) Erik Lensherr/Magneto - He has a soft spot for baked goods, especially babka and hamantaschen. They remind him of his mother and his childhood celebrations of Passover and Purim, and make him think of happier times. 

2) James/Logan Howlett/Wolverine - He loves those maple sugar candies. They’re simple and sweet, and have been around almost as long as he has. He hides them behind the beer in the fridge, and can absolutely smell it is anyone’s been snooping around looking for one.

3) Emma Frost/The White Queen - She has a sweet tooth, but it is a luxury sweet tooth. She’s The White Queen after all, and isn’t a queen entitled to luxury? Dark chocolate mousse topped with 24k gold flakes, sorbets made out of the rarest fruits and served in a baccarat goblet, crepes covered in edible diamonds. If it isn’t exorbitantly expensive or over the top, she won’t even entertain the motion of eating it. 

4) En Sabah Nur/Apocalypse - He’ll deny having a sweet tooth, he technically doesn’t even need to eat, but he absolutely has one.  He hates the modern processed sugar in candies and sweets, so he makes his own from recipes he remembers from his childhood (that he also totally looked up on Pinterest because he forgot). Tiger Nut Sweets, or Honey Cakes, or Date Loaves shaped like crocodiles - the ancient Egyptian symbol for good luck - are his favorites

5) Kyle Gibney/Wild Child - He’s not supposed to have sweets, as feral and hyperactive as he is, but...that doesn’t stop him from sneaking a piece of whatever sweet stuff has been hidden in the cabinets. He’ll eat pretty much anything, but loves the little variety packs of tiny candy bars; he’s stealthy about it, never takes more than one piece at a time, and takes little measured bites to make it last as long as possible.  Will growl if you try to take it away from him.

Dating ask game: Cody

Thank you for sending 🥰❤️

I love Cody tbh but I think he would struggle with giving/finding time to his partner. It’s understandable of course. He has an important job in the GAR and as a solider he already has very little time in the first place, but I imagine finding free time is hard for him. I honestly don’t think he has much free time on hand, and he probably continues to work in his free time for the most part anyway. I could see plans with his s/o getting cancelled pretty frequently. Once again, understandable, but I think that would definitely put strain on any type of relationship. I honestly think he wouldn’t seek out a relationship himself for this exact reason. He knows how very little time he has, and I imagine he wouldn’t want to put someone he loves through that. 

Usually I’m fine with long periods of time apart. I’m a loner and introvert at heart.  And honestly I frequently go days without needing to socialize with anyone really tbh. But I think even with Cody I would find the lack of time difficult to handle. I’d miss him way too much.

Honestly don’t even know if Cody would have time for starting a relationship in the first place lol

WIP Game!

Let’s start a chain of WIP projects. You can put a sentence, a conversation, or a whole paragraph from one of the WIPs you’re working on. 

I’ll go first. This is from the next chapter for Timeless Warrior - Elrond x Phoenix (OFC)

I headed straight for Meraxes, who roared in my face. Elrond and Thranduil waited nervously nearby.

I tried to calm her down, even using the correct pronunciation of her name. “Merakses, kostilus gīda ilagon.”

She roared in my face for a third time.

“Kostilus gīda ilagon. Calm down, please.”

Instead of another roar, I was greeted with a chirp that almost sounded like she was in pain. The gears in her joints were louder than normal...or maybe I was more intuned because of what had happened. I placed my hands on her nose and she gently pushed into me.

“I know.” I pressed my forehead to her nose. “You’ve done so well.”

Yeaaahhhh, sorry TW readers. You may cry during this chapter 😬.

Best advice I've ever been given: Don't worry about what other people are thinking/doing. They probably aren't as interested in you as you think they are.

Preferred method of non-physical self destruction: Overthinking and sabotaging friendships (although I've become a lot better at this one)

Favourite way to self care: Listen to music. Journal. Curl in bed with a film. Moisturise. Light a candle. Have a mug of flavoured coffee.

Skill or talent I've completely lost or overlooked. Why? Drawing. I used to be pretty decent at drawing in my teens, but I've let it slide a lot in my later years.
