I understand how and why some people feel upset about dream being included in the Remembering Technoblade livestream, but I think it’s also important to remember that Dream is an actual person too, and although he did some fucked up stuff, Technoblade was his friend as well, and he probably planned this with Techno’s dad as well.

It’s not a polite, or respectful thing to do to cancel a livestream dedicated to remembering your close friend who has recently passed away that you planned with his father. This is a delicate situation, and if you don’t feel comfortable watching it, that’s an important decision you can make personally. I, personally, am. Techno’s memory is important, and let’s focus on remembering him in a respectful way, instead of focusing on Dream being there

Hello Everyone!

You all may remember me as my previous URL of “CrunchWasTaken”, which is the URL I had on this site for the past year? 2 years? I can’t really remember.

I don’t really usually like speaking out on drama stuff, as it tends to stress me out quite a lot. But as someone who previously had a Dream themed URL, I thought I should at least say SOMETHING.

I have decided to change my URL to the one I use on all other social medias, which is something I’d been meaning to do, but had just continually forgotten to. But the recent stuff is what made me decide to go through with it. I’m not going to give a definitive answer saying “oh this side is correct”, as it’s not something I, nor anybody besides those involved should have any say in until after the court case. (If it ends up happening.) But I wanted to say, regardless of outcome, I will continue to post DSMP content and consume it. There are plenty of people on the DSMP besides Dream that make wonderful content and make me happy and the such, it’s not their fault all of this is happening. Plus, as someone who’s had DSMP as a neurodivergent Special Interest for the past 2 years, it’d be REALLY difficult for me to leave it entirely. (I’m mostly a Bee Duo, Badlands, and SBI person myself, and mostly post about them to begin with, so that won’t really change)

I do want to add, PLEASE listen to actual victims of grooming situations, regardless of what the outcome for this specific situation is. Minors who are exposed to sexual content at an early age can be SEVERELY traumatized by it, as someone who was exposed to VERY sexual content at the ages of like, 10-11, I feel very strongly that, no matter how “mature” anyone says they are, NO child should be exposed to sexual content like that.

Listening to people in the situations like the current one are very important, and shouldn’t be brushed over like how I’ve seen other people doing with the current Dream stuff. Also! For any other DSMP fans that are currently struggling with the stuff going on, (especially neurodivergent fans like myself, as I know how hard it is to have hyperfixations possibly ruined for you like this.) PLEASE STAY SAFE!!! Things will get better eventually, no matter what happens! If you like/liked Dream, none of this is your fault!!! None of this is a judge of your character!! You’re allowed to feel upset, and allowed to continually enjoy MCYT and DSMP content, don’t let this dissuade you! Please stay safe!!

That’s really all I wanted to say about the situation, as, once again, im not qualified to give any definitive answers about all this. But I thought I should say at least SOMETHING, considering my old URL being Dream themed. I really hope this got my feelings across properly, as I’m not the best at more serious posts like this. with dream, he knows you’re the one the morning after he’s sick and he’s recovering. he’s a big baby when he’s got a fever, acting like he’s on the verge of dying.

you’re nothing if not kind, even teasing him for his dramatics. maybe it’s because he’s sick and a little delirious, but the way you dote on him makes him melt. you’ve dropped everything for the day to make sure he’s okay and he couldn’t feel more cared for and loved.

and dream’s nothing if not a hopeless romantic.

he wants to know your ideal proposal and recreate it, nothing more, nothing less. he wants it to feel magical, straight out of a dream (in his mind he wants it be equivalent to how he feels about you— how he feels he wished you into existence, how wonderful you are).

you can probably tell when he’s about to propose, he’s a little obvious, but he can’t contain himself. he’s planned everything out and the night before he stays awake all night— he couldn’t sleep, he was too anxious. realistically, he knows you won’t say no. you love him and given your previous talks, it’s not like you’re not ready for marriage. still though, he can’t help but be nervous to ask.

he shifts to face you, and he smiles, incredibly happy. he moves closer, gently placing his hand on your cheek, careful as to not wake you, and kisses your forehead.

i love you, he thinks, and his mind wanders to the ring in his bedside drawer.

george was never sure of marriage.

it’s not like he’s had nasty experiences with marriage in the past, but he was also never bouncing up and a down, planning out the day he’d stand at the altar with his partner.

the realization comes in tiny bursts, found in moments that are meaningless, except to him. the first time it was after seeing you with a mess on your face from the pancakes you were eating. it was still early in your relationship, that stage where you’re still a little nervous to be imperfect. you made a stupid joke, clearly embarrassed, and he remembers your laugh. a sort of laugh he’s never heard before from you, just completely unfiltered and he likes it, very much.

he remembers thinking he was an idiot after that.

“what do you think about marriage?” he asks one day. it’s late, nearly two in the morning and you’re lying in bed, on the verge of sleep.

he knows he shouldn’t ask now, and he meant to ask hours earlier, but he couldn’t muster up the courage. you groaned, pulling the sheet up to your nose.

“i dunno, it’s something, i guess— this is kind of a big topic, huh, georgie?” you slurred, scooting closer to him. “why? thinkin’ of marrying me?”

“dunno, would you say yes?” he smiled at the thought, hesitantly asking. it wouldn’t be a very coherent answer, he knew, you were too tired to give a proper answer.

“if you let me pick the venue,” you mumbled.

the joke made him laugh, and he wrapped an arm around you, allowing sleep to take him.

the type of guy to google “cute proposal ideas” because he’s completely lost at first.

you’d be together a fair time before wilbur decided to propose to you— he’s not one to rush into things, at least not something as important as marriage.

he had to stop himself from focusing too much on the future where you say yes (to be fair, you wouldn’t say no), and force himself to focus on the present and actually asking you first.

he knows he wants to marry you, he just doesn’t really know how, hence the googling. he’s so anxious coming up with ideas— because holy shit, he’s really doing this— eventually he does decide to keep the proposal a bit more intimate and small.

(it took him so long to figure it all out though, lord.)

the morning starts out as usual, though later he says he is wants to take you out for lunch at that diner near the park you always used to walk through. so you do, and it’s nice, it brings a sense a nostalgia and fills you with warmth.

when you get home, he starts preparing dinner too, saying he wanted to try something new today. it would be suspicious, but this is wilbur, it’s something completely within his nature, if you’re being honest.

you don’t know it, but he’s been practicing the dish at his friend’s house for a while— it’s your favorite. another thing you don’t know: he has the ring in his pocket, fully prepared to get down on his knee after dinner.

he has an entire speech written out, filled with sweet memories and probably a billion reasons as to why he loves you. the man has a talent with words, you’re crying by the end of it.

the second he sees you crying, tears start forming in his eyes as well. he falls back, losing balance as you nearly fall yourself to hug him. in his right hand he’s still gripping onto the ring, his arms holding you tight. never before has he been so happy to hear the word ‘yes’ and having you in his arms is only confirmation that yes, you are his and he’s yours, and it’ll remain that way, forever he hopes.

My take on the Chuggaaconroy situation

A few days ago, LadyEmily, a creator who works as an writer for Sarah Z., spoke out about her negative experiences with Emile, known online as Chuggaaconroy.

I have been a fan of Emile’s content for almost as long as I’ve watched YouTube. Emile’s channel was the first I’ve ever subscribed to, back in 2008 when I was 6 years old. Today, following MasaeAnela’s account, I am unsubscribing from Chuggaaconroy- and I implore you to do the same.

When Lady Emily’s account first came out, I was mostly in disbelief. There was a very clear dissonance between the Emile in the messages shown, and the Emile I know from the videos. However, I didn’t deny that these allegations could very well be real.

I’ve watched this guy’s content for over a decade now, but I cannot claim to know him personally. His online persona being nice doesn’t mean his actual self is without fault. What I didn’t really buy in Emily’s statement was the accusations that this happened to more people than just her.

Mostly because she didn’t provide any proof of the sort, nor was any other account of this type of behavior from Emile, public as of yet. So when MasaeAnela, a persona who’s been associated with Emile for years now, claims the same things happened to her- that’s when I decided it was over.

Why did Masae decide to speak out now? It was simply because Chuggaaconroy has been a recognizable YouTube figure for years, and has amassed a very loyal following. Going against Emile is not a wise decision, not because his follower base is stupid or immature, like the fanbase of say, DreamWasTaken. It’s moreso that his fanbase spans a very wide range of people, and has been amassed for so long. People are attached to Chugga because he was a known figure for well over a decade of YouTube.

This is why #WeAreWithChuggaaconroy was trending at one point, and likely the reason why it took Masae and so many others such a long time to speak out, until now.

Masae opened the door, and now multiplie accounts of Chugga’s negative behavior are being released. I’ve been subscribed to Chugga for 15 years, but now I see how much fame changed the man. As someone who subscribed to Emile’s channel because of his positivity and passion towards a topic I was interested in, as someone who tried games merely based on his recommendations, and as someone who has Emile to thank for my current interests - I am unsubscribing from Chuggaaconroy, and I implore you to do the same.

Stand with the victims.

The idea of “cancellation” of a celebrity or internet celebrity, hinges on the near or complete destruction of their career. For someone to be canceled, their fan base needs to abandon them so that they fall into obscurity. To be canceled, the content creator’s fan base needs to be willing to drop them if unsavory actions are brought to light. This is why generally the only people who are successfully canceled are Tiktokers, people who don’t have strong bonds with their audiences and can be bullied off of the internet. Dream is a cancelable creator to a certain extent, I divide Dream’s fan base into two categories, Stans and Fans. Dream Stans are on Twitter, tumblr, twitch, generally mid teens-early twenties. Dream fans are the generation of children being raised on Minecraft videos on YouTube who have no exposure to Twitter controversies and have probably never heard Sapnap say fuck. If next week, Dream were to hypothetically do something that was not illegal but morally unforgivable to much of his stanbase, ie. Actual horrific racism or homophobia (lol), and his stanbase dropped him fully or partially, 95% of smiletwitter leaves overnight, Dream would not be canceled. His YouTube platform is still mostly intact, that’s where he makes money, that’s where his numbers are highest. To stay above and beyond in content creation all he really has to do is continue to make Minecraft videos with George and Sapnap every 3 months.

I should’ve fucking given this like a “Why the Internet is Unable To Cancel Dreamwastaken” title because I just wrote a small thesis in your anonymous asks I’m so sorry. Tldr, Dream Stans are, as a whole, big on political correctness and would definitely stop supporting him in the face of a big enough incident,(see oct. this year) but Dream’s young fans on YouTube, likely unaware of this, would still watch his videos, negating any “cancelation” that Twitter might have pulled off with their continued support.
