Both Dawn and Chloe were understandably worried about Piplup and Eevee when they realized the two got lost. Dawn was sure that they’d be fine together, which helped to ease Chloe’s nerves.

The two of them had already been traveling together for a day or two, since they were headed in the same direction, but looking for their pokemon gave them even more time to talk, delving into slightly deeper conversations.

It was after the second or third hour of conversation that Chloe realized the kind of fluttery feeling she got in her stomach whenever Dawn looked over at her or smiled at her.

Dawn had realized for a little while that her small crush on Chloe was growing even more, but it wasn’t the time for her to say anything yet. Maybe once Piplup and Eevee were safe…

Eevee and Piplup were found safe and sound by a nearby riverbank, sleeping in the sunlight. It seemed like both of them were unharmed, thankfully, filling Chloe and Dawn with relief. Maybe they’d laugh about it, one day.

I just discovered that they share a seiyuu, so headband for a friendship between Chloe and Chiaki?

ooo I didn't know that! I did know that Chloe's English VA is shared with Komaru, though ^_^

Chloe and Chiaki were both kind of on the quiet side, and didn’t think much of each other when they met. However, they started having some friendly interactions after a while.

The two of them started talking a little more about their days and interests, and found that they had some commonalities within their respective interests and worries.

Those worries were kind of more on Chloe’s end, about what she wanted to do with her life, but Chiaki always had some pretty good advice for how Chloe could ease her worries.

That included playing some games just for relaxation, which Chloe wasn’t sure would help when they first started. It actually did, though, and she felt a little more at ease.

It was so easy for the two of them to talk to each other once they got closer, joking around and really getting to know each other. Chiaki thought that Chloe was a very nice girl, someone she would love to get to know even more.
