Babe In The Woods--Open AHIT RP
To say that Moonjumper’s plan had been an utter failure would be an understatement.
He practically gift-wraps a sacrificial lamb for the Snatcher, and not only does his pawn NOT eat the child’s soul, or kill her, but he actually adopts her as his own. And what’s more, he was able to overcome his corruption and give up stealing and eating souls, just because it scared the baby.
Clearly, he had make a mistake, and the child had to go.
So here he was now, in the huge, empty tree Snatcher called home, mismatched eyes looking down at the baby as she slept peacefully in the crib Snatcher had gotten for her. The Lunar floated closer, starting to reach one hand out...only for the baby girl’s eyes to snap open, her mouth drawn into a thin, uncertain line, and Moonjumper felt his heart stop.
Could...
Could she see him?
Moonjumper didn’t have time to dwell on the question long, as the child started to cry, and he was forced to retreat before Snatcher himself showed up.

Short Prompt #1167
CW: dehumanization, betrayal, murder mention.
The glass clinked against the wooden table as you set it down, licking your lips to savor the taste. “Quite the fancy place you’ve got here.”
The gang leader raised an eyebrow, and took a drag from their cigarette, letting the smoke rise high into the air. “You seem awfully calm about this.”
“Hm? Oh, you mean about my father selling me off to you so you don’t blow his skull open?” A chuckle bounced in your chest as you took another sip of your drink. “My good sir, once I show you what ol’ pops has been doing behind the scenes, you’re going to change your mind real quick.”
They leaned forward ever so slightly in interest. “Will I now?”
With a gleeful little smirk, you carefully pulled out a folder from your jacket and placed it onto the table. “Have a look yourself.”
The boss grabbed it with nimble fingers, and took their time to study its contents. With every minute that ticked by, with every document and photo, the look in their eyes grew darker and darker.
Finally, they looked up, staring straight into your soul like the devil that they were. “And how did you get all of this, exactly?”
You couldn’t help but giggle. “Out of everyone that surrounds my father, who do you think he’d suspect the most of betraying him? His ‘failure’ of a child, who can’t accomplish anything in his eyes… or his fellow politicians and sharks ready to take his place?”
The gang leader leaned back in their chair, raving their sharp eyes across your form. “...Devious little thing, aren’t you? Scheming with such ease…”
You finished off your drink, and rested your elbows on the table, chin in your hands. “I’m fine with being your arm candy, but I want to see that fucker get what he deserves. What say you?”
They considered you for a moment before a grin worthy of their monstrous reputation split their face. “I say, you’ve got yourself a deal, darling.”

The night has just begun...
The Gilded Demo v1.1 is out now!
So far...
Your younger brother, Leo, went missing three days ago. Your parents called the police, and they started investigating quickly. They were too late. Leo had already disappeared into the deepest part of the forest, where the mortals have vowed never to return. The police have offered to contact your family if Leo crosses the barrier back to the mortal side, but their investigation can’t go any further without inviting the wrath of the Fae.
The winter solstice is approaching fast, which means that the High Fae are likely gathering mortal children for their great feast. The only way to get your brother back is to follow him into the forest and steal him back from the palace of the High Fae… If you can get there in one piece. The Fae forest is full of tricksters and killers, and you'll likely need some allies to help get you both back home.
A customizable main character. Choose your gender, name, appearance, skills, and more.
v 1.1 Features:
Word Count Approx. 70k
Stat building. Choose starting stats, and improve your skills throughout the game for fights and problem solving.
Romance. Meet the first two of four romanceable characters, and make a lasting impression.
Exploration. Make your way through the forest one step at a time; backtrack to previous locations and revisit them to discover the secrets they hold.
Planned Updates:
v1.2: Bug fixes, mobile layout improvements (I hope)

Some fruits basket aus i would never write but sometimes think about out of morbid curiosity:
AU where Tohru is the cat spirit and Kyo is Kyoko's son
AU where Tohru never met the Sohma family and the curse broke suddenly and messily several years later
AU where all the zodiac animals are switched (Yuki is the rabbit, Shigure is the snake, Ayame is the cat, etc)
AU where the zodiacs ages are randomly switched around (Yuki is 19, Kyo is 10, the Mabudachi Trio are 15, etc)
AU where Akito actually fucking kills one of the zodiacs while rage-attacking them (maybe Rin or Hatori) and it immediately has Consequences

tw: mentions of murder
As I sit down to review the notes that I made in 2012 for Kayla, I'm reminded that she originally came from Broken Bow, Nebraska. Pandemonix begins with her family being murdered by Satyrs, as they try to bring her to Hell and to Lucifer.
Oh, the twisted web I weave.

The first of the Love Like Salt tales in Cinderella Tales From Around the World come from Italy, Germany, and Sweden.
We start with seven versions from Italy:
**One version, La Sendraroeula, is basically a perfect cross between Love Like Salt, Donkeyskin, and a conventional Cinderella. After the youngest princess says she loves her father like salt, the king orders a servant to kill her and bring back her heart, but the servant kills a sheep instead, then gives the princess a donkey skin wear as a disguise. She then meets a group of good witches, who give her a magic wand and a nut: whenever she taps the wand with the nut, her wishes will be granted, although the magic only lasts until midnight. Some time later, her father finds her in the woods while hunting, doesn't recognize her in the donkey skin, and takes her home with him out of pity. Thus she becomes a scullery maid in her own father's castle, under the gaze of her own two sisters. Then Carnival arrives, the older sisters attend three balls at a neighboring kingdom's palace, and the heroine goes too in magic finery. The prince falls in love with her, on the third night she runs out at midnight and loses a shoe... and you can guess the rest.
**In most of the Italian versions, the older sisters declare that they love their father "like bread" and "like wine." To some of us, these comparisons might seem just as "undaughterly" as "like salt," but the king accepts them, because bread is essential to life, and in Italian culture the same is considered nearly true for wine. In other versions, though, the sisters are more effusive and say they love their father "better than my eyes" and "better than my heart."
**The Italian versions also tend to have the king order his daughter killed, but a few have him just banish her. In one, The Value of Salt, he doesn't send her away at all, but just resolves to never see her again and has her live alone in a separate wing of the castle.
***The latter tale doesn't have a Cinderella/Donkeyskin-style plot or a love interest for the heroine, since the princess never leaves home or loses her status. One day she just orders the cook to make a supper without salt for her father, and this teaches him his lesson.
**Several Italian versions have the heroine disguise herself as an old woman when she goes to work at the other palace. In one, she meets a fairy who gives her a wand that lets her actually turn herself into an old woman. In another, more gruesomely, her faithful nurse buys the skin of an old woman who just died and has her wear it as a disguise. Either way, she goes to work in the kitchen or in the poultry-yard, but every night in her room she takes off her disguise, and eventually the prince sees her true beauty through the keyhole, a la Donkeyskin.
**In some versions, the heroine says she loves her father "like water and salt" – not only evoking the thing that gives food its flavor, but the thing most important to sustaining life.
**Another version, The Story of the Candlestick, is a "princess hides in a hollow object" variant, and unusually, her mother is still alive and helpful. When the king orders his daughter killed for saying she loves him like salt, the queen protects her by hiding her in a giant candlestick and selling it. The candlestick ends up in a prince's dining room, the princess secretly comes out and eats the prince's food every night before he gets home, etc.
**In yet another version, instead of having the king ask his daughters how much they love them, he sets out on a journey, and of course, asks his daughters what they'd like him to bring back. The older two sisters ask for clothing, of course, but the youngest asks for salt. The wicked sisters then convince their father that she plans to over-salt his food and make it taste terrible, so in a fit of extreme pettiness he banishes her. But when they finally reunite, she reveals that she only wanted the salt to make food taste good.
**Still another variant, The King of France, doesn't have a "love like salt" opening at all, but instead mirrors the Bible story of Joseph and his brothers. The princess has a dream that someday she'll become a great queen and that her father will bow down before her. To prevent this, her jealous father orders a servant to kill her, but he lets her go. A magician in the forest takes her in as his foster child, and the rest of the story is like Donkeyskin. The book only describes this story as a footnote rather than sharing it in full, because technically it's not a Love Like Salt tale, just similar.
*There are just two German versions, one long, one short.
**The longer tale is a lesser-known Brothers Grimm tale, The Goose Girl at the Well. (Not to be confused with the more famous, entirely different tale of The Goose Girl.) This story is a very unusual Love Like Salt variant, not least because the princess isn't the viewpoint character, nor does the Love Like Salt motif appear until the middle of the story, in a flashback to three years earlier. An old woman, rumored to be a witch, and her ugly daughter live in a solitary cottage in a the mountains, tending geese. One day a handsome young count enters the forest, meets the old woman, and kindly carries her heavy bundle for her: as they walk along it grows heavier and heavier, but the woman won't let him rest until they reach the cottage. Then to reward him for his hard work and kindness, she gives him a little book carved out of emerald. The count then travels to a royal palace, where he meets the king and queen and shows them the emerald book. When the queen opens it, revealing a pearl inside, she faints, then tells her family's backstory to the count. The king and queen had three daughters, and the youngest was the most beautiful, who wept pearls and jewels instead of tears. One day, to determine his daughters' inheritances, the king asked each one how much she loved him: the older two said "like the sweetest sugar" and "like my prettiest dress," but the youngest said "like salt," and for this the king banished her with only a sack of salt as her inheritance. Soon afterward he regretted his rash act and searched for her, but the princess was never found and has been missing for three years. Yet the pearl inside the emerald book looks just like one of the princess's tears. The count tells the king and queen about the old woman and the three of them set off to find her cottage again. As it turns out, the old woman's "daughter" is really the princess, disguised in a magical ugly skin. At night when the moon shines, she takes off the skin to reveal her true beauty and wash herself at the well near the cottage. When the count arrives, he sees her do so and falls in love. The king and queen soon follow and reunite with their daughter, the old woman vanishes, and the cottage transforms into a palace, where the count and the princess live happily ever after. The narrator remarks that the old woman was probably a "wise woman" (i.e. a fairy), who most likely gave the princess her gift of shedding pearl and jewel tears when she was born– a gift that "doesn't happen nowadays, or else the poor would soon become rich."
**The shorter German variant, As Dear as Salt, is another version that doesn't have a Donkeyskin element, or a romance, or even have the princess be banished. It simply says that the king is angry when his only daughter says she loves him "like salt," but a short time later, when he gives a grand feast, the princess tells the cook to serve all the food without salt, and this teaches the king his lesson.
*The one Swedish variant is called Salt and Bread. In this version, the princess's wicked older half-sisters slander her to their father out of jealousy and make him doubt her love for him, which inspires his fateful love test. The older two claim to love him "as God in heaven" and "as my life," and when the youngest says "as salt and bread," the king has her stripped naked and left in the forest to die. But a different kingdom's younger king finds her there, takes her home to his castle, falls in love with her, and marries her. After the princess (now queen) and her father reunite in the end, the old king has the two half-sisters left naked in the forest, and the narrator cheekily says "It has never been told that a king came and married them."
**It's interesting that this princess likens her father's value to bread as well as salt, meaning that he's "the staff of life" to her, and yet her father takes it as an insult because bread is so common. It contrasts with the Italian versions where one of the older sisters says she loves her father like bread, and he approves because he realizes it means she can't live without him.
Next we'll look at the versions from Belgium, France, Spain, and Portugal.

"It might blow up in your pretty face."

mark wanted him dead. no, worse... he wanted him locked up in some shithole where no one would find him, wishing he was dead. that's what he wanted after the fuckery they all pulled. it would be more than deserved. the only reason he was still breathing right now was because john said so. otherwise? mark would have acted without hesitation and of course, he was mark hoffman. he had more than enough resources to make that happen. "you think i'm pretty? it's a shame compliments won't be enough to save you." oh, one thing about hoffman? he didn't make a habit of bluffing. what he threatened? he meant. "lucky for you sunshine, i'm not here to kill you. i'm here about the kid. gideon? you know... the one you befriended and act like you care so much about?" @fcdcdmcmories

honestly man? we’ve got three options right now.
we could: subdue gray, get him to unshadowfy through some miracle grace of god like how ray did when marny kissed him
Have the rangers/police/gym leaders take care of him before he becomes a danger to society
OR, if need be:
we kill ‘em!
{NO!!! WE'RE NOT KILLING HIM?! There's- there's gotta be a way to get him back! I'm- we- I can't lose him. We can't lose him!}
{W-we can't l-lose him...}

As soon as the invite head reached Jameson, he knew he should’ve turned it down. He wasn’t the type to go out drinking anymore or ever; considering he’d gone to prison before he was even legally allowed to drink in public, but when someone from work mentioned going out, he felt like he needed to get more out of his shell. However, considering the fact that he was currently sitting outside of the bar and holding ice to his eye, this may have been a bad idea.
He winced again as he held the cold against his face before letting out a sigh. He wasn’t sure how it started, but he knew how it ended when someone accused him of being a murderer and threw punches his way. As much as he was trying to deny it, Jameson knew deep down that people rarely forgot the past in a small town. He knew that as soon as he would get comfortable, someone would throw his past right into his face. The whole night was looking a bad idea and he only had himself to blame. Jameson heard someone sit next to him and he glanced over wincing slightly as he moved his gaze over to them. “ I promise I’m fine. their punches were pretty week anyway. Aside from this one “ he added gesturing to his eye.

cold,   sender places their jacket over receiver's shoulders. (gideon & parker) @xtinyslip
Tumblr media Tumblr media
THE BEST AND.. PERHAPS.. ONLY GOOD THING ABOUT BEING HERE? it was the fact that he got to be around gideon again. it was that he got to be around him again and.. to keep him safe. he could do that much, right? yes, he didn't officially live here and donna would eventually drag him back to her apartment once she was done going through whatever evil business she had with pederson, but.. at least, he could make sure that the kid was safe in the meantime. right? at least, he could actually get to spend some time with someone he loved. "i know, i know, i know, i look like shit. trust me, though.. it really isn't that bad. looks a lot worse," oh, it was bad, but .. in classic parker fashion, he was attempting to make a joke out of it. taking his jacket, he placed it over gideon's shoulders. "I MISSED YOU, KID. OR SHOULD I OFFICIALLY RENAME YOU.. LITTLE BADASS? that's what you are, you know? and .. it will be okay. we'll make it out of here. eventually." he almost didn't believe that himself anymore, but.. he had to try.

Short Prompt #957
CW: implied murder.
"Would you still love me if I killed a man?" The robot asked in a whisper, resting their forehead against the human's.
Their partner snorted. "If it's my bitch of a dad you kill, AND get away with it, then I'll love you even more."
"...I may have some good news then."

Universal Horrors (Crossover AU of umbrark's FNAF Human AU)
(((OOC: This will also include other properties from other companies like with 20th Century Fox for example (due to them being featured in Universal Studios' HHN events), HHN stuff, and other horror films by Universal Pictures
The AU itself is basically a crossover between Universal Studios' horror films and umbrark's FNAF Human AU. I'm thinking events would probably change due to the presence of the characters from them. Here are some character ideas I have so far
Norman Bates (Psycho): A troubled man who moved his motel business to Hurricane, Utah and is employed as a cook at Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria. Of course however, things aren't what they seem to be as Norman sometimes gets paranoid and would start arguing with "Mother". Things get worse however as someone wearing a mother's dress and grey hair is sometimes spotted inside and outside the Pizzeria... (1980s)
"Abraham Hemingway" (actually Dracula): A seemingly-human man who owns a company, Hemingway Corp., and works with William Afton from time-to-time. In actuality however, he is none other than the infamous vampire Dracula, who had survived death before and moves to America in order to hide from those that hunt down the vampire, especially if those are descendants of Abraham van Helsing. The only one who knows his secret is William Afton, who the vampire promises immortality to him. (1970s-2020s)
Peter Talbot (Descendant of Lawrence Talbot and Larry Talbot, both of them sharing the same fate on becoming a werewolf): A security guard that got hired for Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria for day-shifts. He is best described as a nervous yet friendly guard who does his best at his job and looks harmless, but at Full Moon, he transforms into a terrifying werewolf and kills anyone on sight. (1980s)
David Kessler (An American Werewolf in London): A backpacker who is hiding out in America due to being responsible for the killings in London and the Piccadilly Circus Massacre. He does his best to keep his werewolf form under control whenever a Full Moon is shown. He forms a friendship with Peter Talbot due to their similar circumstances. (1980s)
Johnny Bartlett a.k.a The Grim Reaper (The Frighteners): A demented mass murderer with a grisly count of 40. Has been into Hell not only once, but twice. Got out of hell for the third time and has set his sights on Springtrap and The Phantoms. Is facing competition with Chucky (once known as the Lakeshore Strangler in his human life before transferring his spirit to a Good Guy doll) (2010s)
FNAF Human AU belongs to @umbrarkzoo
Universal Horrors AU belongs to me.)))

crazy thing is is that i can still lose all my humanity, try to kill myself, get picked up by some 40-something guy, get manipulated into the mafia, meet some ginger who's subjectivity attractive, kill a ton of people, meet my best friend, abuse a kid, have my best friend die, leave the mafia, and join a detective agency. I still have two years left until I am past that age.
