Fandom Oneshots: Sonic's Adventure In MLP (Sonic x MLP)

Sonic is exploring a library and comes across a book titled "The Wonder of Equestria". "Well that's interesting" Sonic said to himself as he checked for a description, As Sonic examined the book, he could feel an odd sensation coming from within his stomach. Almost as if something was pulling him in. The description was written in words too obscure for him to understand, but there was a picture of a beautiful landscape painted entirely in pastel colors. Whatever it was about the book that grabbed his attention, it was something he couldn't explain. "Let's hope this doesn't end up like CantorLot and Arabian Nights" Sonic shakes his head as he remembers what happened

He remembered Excavator, becoming the next King Arthur, rewriting Arabian Nights, Shara, defeating Erazor with the seven world rings, the list of craziness just wouldn't stop. No matter where he went, it seemed like trouble always found him. So he cautiously looked over the book, trying to gauge whether this was going to be another one of those times. But he couldn't pass up the opportunity to explore another world, even if it meant dealing with yet again more lunacy. He checked the book out and headed home in a Sonic second. As soon as he arrived, he curled up on the couch and began flipping through the pages, looking for anything that might give him a clue as to what kind of world he had just immersed himself in. The descriptions were just as cryptic as the ones he had seen in the library. However, the pictures were absolutely stunning. The landscapes were filled with forests that stretched on for miles, mountains that touched the clouds, rivers running through canyons of colorful rock... "Whatcha got there?" Tails said as he saw Sonic on the couch. "I saw a book called 'The Legends Of Equestria', I thought I'd check it out." Sonic replied, showing his friend the book. "Ahh, the wonders of Equestria, eh? Sounds like it could be interesting." Tails teased. It was no surprise that he was interested in anything to do with adventure or exploration. "Yeah, just take a look at these pictures!" Sonic pointed enthusiastically as he flipped through the pages. "Twilight Sparkle, a studious unicorn, travels to Ponyville to learn about friendship at the urging of Equestria's ruler (and her mentor) Princess Celestia. Twilight and Spike, her dragon assistant, become close friends with five other ponies: Applejack, Rarity, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, and Pinkie Pie. Before founding Equestria, the three major pony types—Earth Ponies, Unicorns, and Pegasi—were separate tribes, The country seemed to be a loose confederation of city-states and small kingdoms in its early days, with no central government but instead smaller ones such as the Pegasus Kingdom. At some point, Princess Celestia and Princess Luna founded the Kingdom of Equestria, uniting the entire realm under the duel-rulership." Sonic said as he read the description

"Are you sure you didn't accidentally get this from the kids section?" Tails joked, Sonic laughed, "Don't worry, this is in the fantasy section." As he continued reading, Tails couldn't help but notice just how intrigued Sonic was by the book. It was clear that the young hedgehog felt a sense of wonder and excitement as he read about the world of Equestria. "This sounds like a pretty fascinating place", Tails said curiously, "I wonder if it's really as magical as it sounds." Sonic nodded, "Yeah, it sounds almost too good to be true, doesn't it?"This was quite "however it does sound like something I've heard of before." Tails mentioned. "What do you mean?", Sonic was curious at his comment. "Well...", Tails explained, "...there are legends of a land full of magical ponies who can do incredible things. They say the greatest among them are the Princesses Celestia and Luna. They rule over a land called Equestria and are said to have magical powers greater than any other pony or creature" "just like the book you have" Tails wondered in thought "I'll do more research on it once you're done reading" Tails said then went back to his workshop. As Tails walked away, Sonic was left alone with his thoughts. The stories he Had heard about a land of magic and wonders seemed to align awfully close with the book he was reading now. The whole thing just seemed too coincidental. Was it possible that the legends were true? The only way to find out was to keep reading. Sonic continued flipping through the pages and became lost in the images and descriptions of this fantastical place.

He opened the first page and began reading it

"As the term 'Equestria' is often applied in a manner that doesn't necessarily refer to the political body, it's unclear if a definitive starting point to the country can be determined. The term 'Equestria' has referred to the realm since the days of Starswirl the Bearded and has been used well after the country seemingly dissolved The earliest known inhabitants of Equestria were the Cave Ponies who lived several thousand years ago, though the oldest known pnies in Equestria to be referred to as Equestrians were the Founders of Equestria.

The country seemed to be a loose confederation of city-states and small kingdoms in its early days, with no central government but instead smaller ones such as the Pegasus Kingdom. At some point, Princess Celestia and Princess Luna founded the Kingdom of Equestria, uniting the entire realm under the duel-rulership. Though this reign was successful at first, Luna eventually fell to the darkness and nearly took the kingdom with her, before being banished to the moon. Despite this, Equestria thrived just fine with only a single ruler as Celestia held down the royal fort"

Sonic read on, and his mind was whirling with questions. The more he learned about Equestria, the more fascinated he became. As he read the passage about Princess Luna's fall from grace, he couldn't help but wonder what had driven her to the dark side. And with Princess Celestia's rule, it seemed that Equestria was doing just fine without the second princess. Yet, he wondered what exactly made the country so special. Was it only the magic? Was there more to the story than that? As Sonic kept reading, he lost track of time. He didn't even notice that hours had passed until he glanced at the clock. It was already late, and he realized he should head to bed soon. But he couldn't stop reading. He was too intrigued by this mysterious land of Equestria. It seemed like a place worth exploring, and he just had to know more. He continued to flip through the pages, eager to find out more secrets, until he finally had to put the book down due to exhaustion.

As Sonic slept, a light from the cover of the book began to shine and reveal itself to be a magic mirror. Twilight Sparkle, the magical princess of Equestria, was gazing into the mirror from her bedroom. She was curious about this new creature that had somehow ended up in her world, and she was determined to learn more. As she watched the hedgehog sleep, she couldn't help but wonder who he was and what brought him to her country. She wanted to wake him and ask "hello" Twilight says as she tried to wake up Sonic

Sonic was still asleep which made her groan, activate her magic, and shook him. "glad to see your awake" she said "do not be alarmed! I am Twilight Sparkle, keeper of the Elements Of Harmony.. you know, like the book you were reading...?" Twilight uses her magic to pick up the book, Sonic glances over at the book, surprised to see it in Twilight's magic. He begins to put the pieces together.

"Wait, you're from this book? The Wonder of Equestria? And you're the "Princess Twilight" that it mentioned?" "Yes I am" she sets the book down "Equestria is in danger! We need your help! The Elements Of Harmony is not as strong" "Wait, what!?", Sonic exclaims, "Danger? Elements of Harmony? What's going on!? Who's causing all this?"

Twilight takes a deep breath and explains the situation to Sonic "you see, there's a magical object in Equestria that is the embodiment of our harmony and friendship. It is a powerful relic that guards our lands and keeps us safe. But now, it's been weakened. And without it, we could all be in serious trouble. That is why it's so essential that we work together to restore its power." "Do you even know what is trying to destroy it?" Sonic says "It's not completely clear who's behind the scheme, but we have reason to believe that a dangerous and evil force is working to sabotage our harmony and bring down Equestria for good. It could be a powerful villain with a grudge against our harmony and friendship. Or maybe some sort of corrupt politician who seeks to topple our way of life and establish their own rule over Equestria. There's also a chance that someone else is responsible, like a foreign nation trying to undermine our stability. Whatever the case may be, it's a serious threat and must be stopped at all means."

Sonic stands in silence for a moment, processing the information. Twilight is hoping he will agree to help. "That definitely sounds like trouble. But, what do you want me to do?" Sonic says as his foot taps Twilight smiles and answers, "We need to do everything we can to investigate the source of this threat and put a stop to it. That means that we may have to do some exploring and sleuthing. And since you're from a different world, your outside perspective may provide some valuable insight into the situation. So, in short, that's where you come in. Will you help us protect Equestria?" "Hmm. So you need help to put someone in their place? I suppose I can help out with that. It might even be fun. But... this is all just something out of a book, right? How am I supposed to do anything about that?" Twilight realizes that Sonic might have difficulty accepting the reality of the situation. She assures him, "Don't worry, this is not just some fantasy story. What's happening here is very real. The Elements of Harmony are essential to maintaining balance and harmony in Equestria. And without them, our world is vulnerable to attack from both internal and external threats. That's why it's essential that we take these matters seriously and do everything we can to protect and preserve the Elements of Harmony." "Alright, alright, let's do it to it!" Twilight is relieved to hear Sonic's enthusiasm. She says, "Great! Then, let's get to it! The Elements of Harmony are scattered across Equestria, and we need to collect them and bring them back together. But let's take this one step at a time. First of all, we need to figure out where to go and what to do." Twilight turns to look at the book "The Wonder of Equestria," then back to Sonic.

"This may be a bumpy ride" Twilight said as she lifted Sonic with her magic, Sonic laughed and nodded his head, ready to begin the journey. "Let's get after it! I'm ready for whatever happens. We can do this!" Twilight launched him at the mirror and he was gone within two seconds "forgive me for this" Twilight said then she entered the mirror herself
