Wyatt: You’re not staying here again tonight-.. in fact, I don’t even want you in this country. Kian: Wha-… [Kian spluttered over his tea for a moment before regaining his composure and setting it down] Kian: What on earth do you expect me to do? Wyatt: I really don’t care-.. whatever you were doing before you arrived? Kian: Well, I spent most of my probation languishing at the penthouse, but it didn’t feel right. [Wyatt squinted, perhaps Kian had learned something-..] Kian: You know, like it wouldn’t be the same until we got everyone back together-.. eh, almost everyone. Wyatt: [scoffs] That’s what you want to do? Kian: Don’t you? Wyatt: All that time wasting away in prison and you want to jump straight back into the lifestyle that led you there? Kian: We would’ve been just fine if it weren’t for that traitorous redhead… [Kian trailed off and held Wyatt’s gaze expectantly, as though it were a given that his brother would agree. Wyatt wondered if Kian had conveniently forgotten his own involvement in the downfall of their father-.. and Ashton’s, not that he really knew about that part, or whether he was too brain dead to have noticed amongst the chaos] Kian: Aren’t you tired of playing house out here? It’s all but forgotten, we could go back and-… Wyatt: You are not my family. Kian: But we’re brothers-.. you’re literally the only family I’ve got left. [Wyatt laughed dismissively; he could’ve vomited at the sight of Kian’s hurt expression] Wyatt: If you’re suddenly so compelled to act like my brother, then leave-.. get as far away from here as possible and don’t come back, and don’t you dare mention my whereabouts to anyone who bothers asking. Kian: Where do you suppose I ought to go from here then? Wyatt: Really? You finally have complete freedom and you’re asking me what to do with your life? Honestly, I’d love to suggest suicide but I doubt you’d have the wherewithal, nor the guts. Kian: There’s no need for that, my god-.. what’s the matter with you? Father would-… Wyatt: Father this, father that, he’s been dead for over a decade, Kian; get over it or go and fucking join him. [Kian scoffed, shaking his head with such similar derision to their father that Wyatt wanted to choke him senseless] Kian: I should’ve expected no less than your typical hostility-.. ten years and you haven’t changed a bit. Wyatt: That makes two of us. Kian: I suppose I’ll be the bigger man as usual and do as you’ve asked, shall I? Wyatt: [tightly] Mhm, do that. Kian: It’s a good job I didn’t finish unpacking. Wyatt: Perhaps you aren’t completely lacking in forethought after all. [Wyatt clenched his fist around the handle of his mug, fighting the urge to launch it at his brother’s giant, disgusting head-.. he definitely wasn’t worth the mess though, and the tea within was nowhere near hot enough to cause satisfactory damage]

Sending Love & Solidarity to everyone out there struggling to get through the days. I wore black today to mourn a trans woman from our local community who took her own life yesterday. I was not feeling especially joyous, to put it mildly. But my lovely fiancée, who is the one who has been taking these photos everyday somehow always can make me smile. And she did exactly that while taking these photos. So, I mourn the ones we’ve lost. But I try to remember to celebrate the ones still here. I hope that you can do that too. #transisbeautiful #twsuicidemention #trans #ootd #lifeadvice #transwomen #transsuicideawareness #femme #workingfromhome #wiwt #columnist #advocate #activistlife #solidarity #goth #queerfemme #mourning #celebratelife #pandemicstyle #roses (at Northampton, Massachusetts) https://www.instagram.com/p/B-QD1JJBuNR/?igshid=3h8h7nwiv5nj

I've been feeling horribly down lately and because of that, I decided to draw some vent art featuring a character of mine. Ironically, drawing this made me feel much better. I finished this ereyesterday, but I figured it'd be cool to post the progress of it, one step each day. A little spoiler, it's going to ba all pastel and cutesy in color. And if anyone is worrying about me, I'm fine now. I was depressed a few days ago but I'll see it as a challenge. The world wants me to give up before it brutally beats me down worse than it has before. Well, sorry world, I ain't no quitter. You'll have to force me out of this another way. And don't worry about the character either, he's committing murder, not suicide.

Cool cool. I’m just crying in church. Thanks Joe! A story (#twsuicidemention): on March 1, 2015, my mom and my best friend took me to the hospital because I was suicidal. This is one of the few times I’ve actually used that word. I spent the following week in the hospital and I was supposed to be singing with our worship team the following Sunday. When I was admitted, I really wasn’t sure if I would see the following Sunday or any Sunday afterwards. But about a day after I got there, this song got stuck in my head. Turns out we were singing it that next Sunday. I was home by then. I’m one of the lucky ones. This song means so much to me. These were the words echoing in my mind during the darkest part of my life. This is much more than just my “favorite worship song”. Do you ever hear such an innocent song that makes you feel like a kid again, but then you realize that you are so corrupted compared to then? Time and actions made me numb to the harshness of the world and things like shootings and suicides are a normal occurrence in the world, and I accept that. But I remember when my mom first explained the concept of war to me. I didn't even believe her that people were killing people over disputes. I just have so much to say about the world and how we should all be so shocked still when someone kills someone, yet we aren't. Hate is learned and we have learned it

Darien: You’re a pain in the ass to find. Brynn: Why’re you finding me? Darien: To check on you? Brynn: I not need a minder, I am okay. [Darien smiled tightly; she didn’t look okay, but apparently she was stubborn, like someone else he knew] Brynn: Have you said anything? Darien: No. Brynn: Good, I go back soon. Darien: So you’ve said. Have you got somewhere to stay in the meantime? Brynn: Sort of. Darien: It’s getting dark, maybe you should think about heading there. Brynn: Is too early-.. since Louis is home I sleep on Vivi’s couch, or in laundromat after hours. Darien: That’s hardly a solution. Why don’t you let me pay for-… Brynn: There’s really no need. Darien: Let me buy you dinner then. Brynn: [laughs] I bet you have expensive taste-.. no, thank you. Darien: I’ll cook instead. Brynn: You can cook? Darien: Sure, I cook for myself every night-.. so really, there’d be no extra cost. [Brynn squinted; she was hungry, and part of her wanted to get to know Wyatt’s oldest, closest friend. The man whom he preferred over his own brother] Brynn: You bring me back afterward? Darien: If you’d like. Brynn: Okay… … [Brynn hesitated upon reaching Darien’s car] Darien: It’s open. Brynn: Last time I got in a car with someone like you, it did not end well. Darien: If I wanted to commit suicide, I’d pick a different method. [Brynn hummed, slightly amused] Darien: And don’t compare me to Kian.

Wyatt kept low amongst the fronds of grass, peeking through the haphazard blinds drooped against the opposite side of the window. He was no stranger to being where he shouldn’t, but there was an unfamiliar pit in his stomach tonight; like there was something more at stake, like part of him didn’t want to know what this seemingly normal house might contain. Ashton had been right about one thing, ignorance was bliss; except now, with his friend’s dismissal and no one left to impress, Wyatt found himself unwilling to ignore the unknown. The sound of distant voices forced him to abandon his rumination.
“Fucking hell, hurry up!”
“I’m waiting for you!” The woman’s voice sounded shrill, but Wyatt could tell there was little anger in her tone. Normal bickering, he supposed. “Have you got your wallet?”
The man ignored his partners fussing, ushering her over the threshold impatiently “I’ve got cash, c’mon!”
Wyatt adjusted his position as the door slammed shut. He wasn’t sure how long he’d been squatting in this overgrown jungle of a garden, but if his protesting legs were anything to go by, it’d been a while. It would’ve made sense to wait a little longer, but time was of the essence. Hearing the couple enter their car, he waited for the sound of their engine to fade before making his way onto the porch. Sliding door locks weren’t too hard to navigate, though Wyatt found himself surprisingly spared of the chore; slipping his fingers beneath his sleeve, he gingerly made his way inside.
Silently closing the door behind him, Wyatt stepped into the dimly lit back room with an upturned nose. The stale smell of tobacco, marijuana and beer permeating the air was unpleasant, but other than that, he couldn’t see anything out of the ordinary. A normal, albeit messy kitchen, an even messier dining table, a TV nook, pictures on the wall; nothing too unusual. The living room, stairwell and landing were just as uninteresting.
Wyatt found himself wondering if Brynn was having him on as some sort of revenge; though it seemed unlikely. He was used to manipulating people into believing him, but it hadn’t seemed necessary with her, perhaps she could sense that he was being honest. It was an odd sensation, to be believed so easily. Heaving a weary sigh, Wyatt entered what appeared to be the master bedroom; more of the same. Casting a quick glance to the street below, he wondered what he was doing. If he found what he thought he might, which was seeming less and less likely, what would he do? He didn’t have a plan up his sleeve, and Wyatt always had a plan.
Something was off, but Wyatt couldn’t figure out what it was. He hadn’t felt great ever since leaving San Myshuno, maybe even before then, and the death of his mother hadn’t made things any easier. She’d threatened suicide many times in the past, her mental state being what it was, but he wasn’t prepared for her to follow through on those threats. He tried to remember the last time things had felt right; though perhaps he’d never really felt like himself, perhaps he was simply an amalgamation of those he surrounded himself with. His mother liked to lament that he was just like his father, but Wyatt had never believed that, and he wasn’t much like her either. Who was he? What did he want?
A fat stack of cash sitting on the dresser caught his attention, sparing him the anguish of answering that particular line of questioning; for now. Twenty grand, give or take. Plenty of people didn’t trust big banks, but that much money laying around was definitely suspicious. He hurried out of the bedroom and poked his head into the bathroom at the end of the hall, nothing. Unless there was a basement he’d failed to notice, only one room remained.
Wyatt paused; hand held over the doorknob hesitantly. These doors were cheap, the kind made with flimsy, cardboard innards. Surely, he’d be able to hear if someone were on the other side? But he couldn’t. Wyatt was briefly tempted to leave. He’d become rather accustomed to dismissing the consequences of his own actions, especially if they didn’t affect him personally; and rather than accept the dark reality that he’d pushed aside for so long, he decided it’d be easier to assume that Brynn was lying to him. Then again, if she had lied, he may as well prove it to himself before he left. With a deep breath and a glimmer of hope, Wyatt opened the door.
Brynn hadn’t lied.

Nurse: Sorry, the visitation period is over.
Courtney: Well, I work here.
Nurse: Well, I don’t care.
Courtney: [scoffs]

Oscar: Cookie, what’re you doing?
Courtney: Shh, I’m sneaking.
Sidney: Hi Courtney.
Courtney: Hey Sid, how’s it hanging? Nice shoes...
Oscar: [laughs] Great spatial awareness.
Sidney: You know what? I didn’t see a thing.
Courtney: Hide me! I’m a fugitive.
Oscar: I wish they weren’t so strict.
Courtney: When do you get to go home?
Oscar: Tomorrow. I had to sit through an evaluation today; to ensure I’m not suicidal, or struggling with addiction. Sid said you can get sectioned if they think you’re gonna try and off yourself the minute you leave.
Courtney: I hope you didn’t lie.
Oscar: Maybe a little. But I ain’t having them ship me off to some mandatory inpatient bullshit for addicts. I don’t need it.
Courtney: Hmm. Can I come and see you?
Oscar: I’m gonna stay at Noah’s for a few days. It’ll appease Salton.
Courtney: [snickers] Don’t call them that! They’ve been worried about you.
Oscar: I know, that’s why I agreed. I’m kinda glad they’ve been here so much.
Courtney: Awh, softie. Hey, if you’re staying at Noah’s you can help me sort his garden out. It’s a right shit tip.
Oscar: Obviously. We’ve not been there.
Courtney: Don’t worry about Aspen being around, she’s good fun; and super nice.
Oscar: Is he smitten?
Courtney: So smitten, I’ve been waiting for them to get together for ages! I think that’s it for them.
Oscar: You reckon?
Courtney: They’re perfect for each other. Besides; it’s obvious when two people are in love, isn’t it?
Oscar: Cheesy.
Courtney: You love it.
Isla: Wha-.. Courtney?!
Courtney: Busted.
Isla: Is this a bad habit of yours? Sneaking around after hours, bothering patients?
Courtney: Uh, no.. but this one’s special.
Isla: Get off my ward! He’s leaving tomorrow, you can fondle him all you want then.
Courtney: Doctor’s orders?
Isla: [laughing] Out!
Courtney: Boooo! I’ll stop by tomorrow before you leave.
Oscar: [chuckles] Bye Cookie.
