What were the Aztecs’ true origins?
The Aztecs actually called themselves the Mexica (Me-SHEE-ka), and they came from what is today the American Southwest. Because of a common origin, the Mexica language shares features with those of the Hopi and the Utes. The Mexica people migrated gradually, over the course of about 200 years, and eventually settled on an island, called Tenochtitlan, in the middle of a great lake that existed in the central valley of Mexico.

TWO HOURS AGO: an incredible photo taken by a ut austin student capturing something deeply poetic in my opinion, a line of state troopers eagerly waiting to arrest student protesters standing just behind a sign that reads "what starts here changes the world. its starts with you and what you do each day."

Utah QB Cam Rising returning for 2024: Could Utes arrive in Big 12 as league favorites?
Utah quarterback Cameron Rising will use a medical redshirt to return to the Utes for the 2024 season, he announced in a video posted to his social media accounts Sunday. Here’s what you need to know: Rising led the Utes to back-to-back Pac-12 championships in 2021 and ’22 but was injured in a Rose Bowl loss to Penn State on Jan. 1 and has missed the entire 2023 season. i think its so funny that alumni from schools like harvard and columbia that were there during the protests in the 60s-80s are expressing support for students currently protesting against the genocide in palestine, and random zionists that were NOT at these protests in the 60s-80s have the never ending audacity to tell these alumni "well thats different, what you protested was good and what they're protesting is bad." as if protesters against the vietnam war and apartheid south africa were not also demonized, arrested, brutalized, and even killed for their activism. history only remembers them fondly after the damage has already been done.
