"Ben! What the hell are you doing?"

Veiovis immediately turned to Ben after dispelling Charlie's spell. Everything was completely out of her control. Right from the beginning of the year, Ben started acting very strange, Charlie also less proactive to see her even though the two of them still wrote owl letters to each other during the vacation. Maybe it’s right, Veiovis's re-engaged in investigating the Cursed Vaults, despite Rakepick's betrayal last year. It was dangerous, Charlie was right to be concerned about his family but she didn't think he would say it outright, right now and in front of their friends.

"He intentionally attacked you. I'm just protecting you!" - Ben replied, justifying his actions.

"I don't need it. You've been weird since the beginning of the year, Ben! I don't need someone to protect me!"

"You think I can't protect you?"

Fortunately, with Penny standing to intervene, Veiovis was silent. She turned to ask Penny to lead Charlie into the Great Hall so she and Ben could talk privately. Penny and Charlie walked into the Great Hall together, and as soon as they were out of sight, Veiovis grabbed Ben and punched him right in the face.

"Can you protect me like this? If you want to, don't interfere into anything but only the Cursed Vault, at least you'll be useful as my shield. That’s what you want, isn’t it?" - Veiovis sneered, she really didn't understand what she was saying. Everything just poured out of her mouth, trying to disgust Ben and make him leave her. But Veiovis was met with silence and Ben was looking straight at her. Suddenly she felt her eyes blur, Veiovis held back her tears, apologized to Ben and ran away, leaving Ben still sitting there blankly.

Veiovis strode down the hallway, trying to run as fast as she could. But to where? Her mind was confused with no specific destination, everywhere she thought of there were her friends, in the end Veiovis aimlessly ran deep into the Forbidden Forest. She slowed down slowly, coming to the place where she used to talk to herself and where a white-haired centaur had saved her in first year. Veiovis sat down, clutching her legs and burying her face in her hands. Tears kept flowing from her eyes, but Veiovis didn't make any sound, holding back every sob inside. Torvus told that the centaur that had known her for a long time but avoided seeing her, saying only that if she wanted to come and talk to him, maybe he would listen and answer.

"Hey, are you there?"

Veiovis sat there and fell asleep under the tree. When she woke up, it was already dawn. Veiovis got up and slowly headed for the school, preparing for the days she knew she wouldn't be able to endure.

"Charlie, we need to talk." - Veiovis called out to Charlie as he was about to get up to leave the Great hall.

"I told you before, Charlie will not involved in breaking the curse or anything. He's a Prefect so he should set an example." Percy remained seated, annoyed with a few long-listening reminders.

"I'm not talking to you so shut up, Percy, you're so annoying." Veiovis said something like punched him right in the face. - "Don't worry, I will return your brother to you right away. It's not like I'm gonna eat him or something." - Saying this, Veiovis pulled Charlie out of the Great hall to his surprise and the Gryffindors, Percy's face was red with shame and Fred and George were howling to the side.

Veiovis and Charlie, two people standing facing each other in the corner of the hallway. The two were silent for a long time, then Veiovis raised her hand and slowly kissed him. Charlie was surprised but still closed his eyes and kissed her, conveniently holding Veiovis tightly in his lap. They stayed like that for 5 minutes when Veiovis pushed him away to Charlie's surprise. Veiovis is crying. She just said: "I love you" and ran away, leaving Charlie standing there. He was about to give chase, but at that moment Percy, Fred, and George ran out, mostly to see what happened. When he returned, Charlie felt a feather in his pocket so he reversed its transformation, a letter appeared and he read it without stopping. No one knows what the letter says, but that day and many days later, Charlie and Veiovis did not see each other at all, even if they did, they would pass each other like strangers. Both the Gryffindor and Ravenclaw were bemused, the two of them were so in love before, why would they be avoiding each other now.

There were once the two of them passed each other in the hallway, Charlie couldn't take it anymore so he took her hand and roughly pulled Veiovis towards him, trying to find the reason for the letter and their avoidance. Charlie felt like someone was clutching at his heart, trying to crush it. He wanted to talk to Veiovis but didn't have the courage. For the Gryffindor to be so cowardly, he felt humiliated.

After about a month, Veiovis suddenly asked to take a few days off, using the excuse that she had a job at home. It also makes sense because of word of mouth, Veiovis stayed at someone else's house, but in fact, she already Obliviate the whole family and made false documents a long time ago. Veiovis has no place to call home anymore. Those days she wandered around Knockturn Alley, at the end of the day she took refuge at Three Broomsticks, Mrs. Rosmerta was kind enough to let her stay in a loft room where she could observe people without being detected. Veiovis never told anyone about her family. No one knows where her house is, not even Rowan. Bill didn't know anything about Veiovis either. Charlie immediately gave up the idea, waiting for Veiovis to return to school. When that time come he will surely go to Veiovis's side and talk to her.

Somehow Veiovis Apparition all the way to Ottery St Catchpole after a scuffle at Knockturn Alley and she accidentally got a little involved. After wandering for a while, she recognized The Burrow, Weasley's house where she had been to for Christmas last year. Veiovis immediately turned to leave when something pulled her back. Veiovis glanced and noticed Molly was holding her hand.

"Veiovis? What are you doing here? Why are you here? You're supposed to be at school? Why are you looking so disheveled? Come back and take a shower right away." Molly was so quick that she didn't have time for Veiovis to utter a word. Veiovis could only sigh in defeat and follow Molly back to The Burrow.

As soon as she entered the house, familiar faces immediately met Veiovis's eyes. "Bill? Fred? George? What are you three doing here? Aren't you supposed to be at school?" - Veiovis was surprised, caught Fred and George was swinging her legs. Bill, who was stuffing the cake into his mouth, also panicked when he saw Veiovis.

"Where have you been and what the hell are you doing here? Do you look like a beggar?"

"We were suspended for a week for being too disruptive, so we were punished by Dumbledore. Bill just dropped us off." - Fred and George proudly show off. - "We blew up the toilet."

"Stop it you two! Those are not proud to tell everyone! Veiovis, you come here to shower and change. Let's sleep here tonight." - Molly enthusiastically handed the towel to Veiovis. "Hi Ginny. You're so cute. We can play together when I'm done bathing, ok?" - Veiovis lifted Ginny up, pinching Ginny's cheek. She's so cute, compared to those two super naughty. Veiovis obeyed Molly's instructions, showered and ate dinner with the Weasley. Molly then led Veiovis into Charlie's room, saying that there were no more spare rooms in the house, so she have to slept in his room. Veiovis blushed as she walked into Charlie's room and noticed a picture of her outing framed by the bed. Veiovis sat down on the side of the bed and then slowly leaned back, it was that scent. Charlie's faint scent, when they passed each other, was now lingering on his blanket. She misses Charlie, misses his hugs and kisses, misses his special scent, doesn't stink even after finishing Quidditch practice.

That night, Bill knocked on the door, offering to speak to Veiovis as well as asking about recent events.

"Is everything okay lately?"

"...Everything is okay, there's nothing to worry about..." - Veiovis faltered, she really felt that everything was completely wrong. But she didn't want Bill to worry about that. Now that he is a Curse-Breaker of Gringotts Bank, he doesn't have to worry about Cursed Vaults anymore.

"Did he say that to you?" - Bill asked surprised, not believing what he just heard. "Does he really think I’m not enough to protect this family?"

"No! It's not like that. It's just that when you graduate from school, the responsibility will be on Charlie's shoulders. I know that. I understand Charlie has to do his duty as a brother but I don't think... to the point where he said like that. Really... I'm a bit heartbroken. We've been apart for a month. I miss him." - said Veiovis, looking far away at the stars in the sky.

"...I'll go to school again tomorrow. Will you come home with me? I'll give you two a chance to talk. After all, I'm his brother, right?"- Bill patted his chest, proudly saying.

"Thank you, Bill. You...." - Veiovis was about to say Bill like her brother, but hesitated. She has Jacob as her brother and she doesn't want to misconception Bill as her brother. - "You're so nice, Bill. But I don't understand why someone can refuse you. Haha"

"Can you not talk about my pain? I've tried to forget about that bitch. Somehow I used to like her." - Bill hugged his face, disappointed thinking back to his young and old days. Veiovis and Bill kept talking together, Bill also knew to put Charlie's blanket around Veiovis, Veiovis unconsciously smelled Charlie's scent. It wasn't until morning that the two of them panicked and ran into the room, pretending to be asleep or Molly will discover they stayed up all night. When they got on the train, they locked the door and fell asleep, each with a bench.

Mọi chuyện xảy ra sau năm 6 chương 13.

"Ben! Cậu làm cái quái quỷ gì vậy?"

Veiovis ngay lập tức quay qua hỏi Ben sau khi giải phép cho Charlie. Mọi thứ hoàn toàn xảy ra khỏi tầm kiểm soát của cô. Ngay từ đầu năm, Ben đã bắt đầu hành động rất lạ, Charlie cũng ít chủ động gặp cô hơn cho dù hồi kỳ nghỉ hai người vẫn viết thư cú cho nhau. Cũng đúng thôi, cô lại dấn thân vào việc điều tra Cursed Vaults, mặc cho sự phản bội năm ngoái của ả Rakepick. Việc này vốn nguy hiểm, Charlie lo cho gia đình là đúng nhưng cô không nghĩ cậu ấy sẽ nói thẳng ra như vậy, ngay bây giờ và trước mặt bạn của hai người.

"Cậu ta cố tình tấn công cậu. Tôi chỉ đang bảo vệ cậu!" - Ben trả lời, biện minh cho hành động của cậu ta.

"Tôi không cần. Từ đầu năm cậu lạ lắm rồi Ben! Tôi không cần ai bảo vệ!"

"Cậu nghĩ tôi không bảo vệ được cậu sao?"

May mà có Penny đứng ra can ngăn, Veiovis mới im lặng. Cô quay ra nhờ Penny dẫn Charlie vào Đại sảnh để cô với Ben nói chuyện riêng. Penny với Charlie cùng nhau đi vào Đại sảnh, ngay khi hai người khuất bóng, Veiovis tóm lấy Ben và đấm cậu ngay thẳng mặt.

"Như thế này thì cậu có bảo vệ được tôi không hả? Nếu muốn thì tùy, đừng léng phéng vào bất cứ chuyện gì của tôi trừ Cursed Vault, ít ra cậu còn có ích trong việc làm cái khiên của tôi. Đó là những gì cậu muốn, nhỉ?" - Veiovis cười khẩy, thực chất cô không hiểu mình đang nói gì nữa. Mọi thứ cứ tự tuôn ra khỏi mồm cô, cố gắng khiến Ben kinh tởm mà bỏ cô. Nhưng đáp lại Veiovis chỉ là một sự im lặng và Ben đang nhìn thẳng vào cô. Bất chợt cô cảm thấy mắt nhòe đi, Veiovis kiềm nước mắt, xin lỗi Ben rồi chạy đi, bỏ lại Ben vẫn ngồi thẫn thờ ở đấy.

Veiovis sải bước chạy trên hành lang, cố gắng chạy thật nhanh. Nhưng chạy đi đâu chứ? Tâm trí cô rối bời không có đích đến cụ thể, nơi nào cô nghĩ cũng đều có bạn của cô, cuối cùng Veiovis vô định chạy sâu vào Rừng Cấm. Cô từ từ chạy chậm lại, đến chỗ cô hay ngồi tự tâm sự và cũng là chỗ một nhân mã tóc trắng đã cứu cô hồi năm nhất. Veiovis ngồi thụp xuống, hai tay ôm lấy chân và vùi mặt vào tay. Nước mắt cô cứ chảy ra nhưng Veiovis không cất lên tiếng gì cả, nín lại từng tiếng nấc bên trong người. Torvus bảo nhân mã đấy biết cô từ lâu nhưng tránh mặt không muốn gặp, chỉ nói rằng nếu muốn cứ đến đây mà tâm sự, có thể cậu ta sẽ nghe và trả lời.

"Chú nhân mã này, chú có đấy không?"

"...." - Iereas ngồi đằng sau tán cây, im lặng không nói một lời.

"Hôm nay cháu vừa đánh bạn mình. Cậu ấy đã làm phép Im lặng lên người cháu yêu. Cháu không biết nên làm gì cả nên đến cuối cùng, cháu lại đấm cậu ấy...." - Veiovis run run nói, giọng cô nhỏ đến mức tiếng xào xạc của lá cây có khi còn to hơn tiếng của cô. - "Mọi người như đang tránh xa cháu vậy. Cháu biết lý do nhưng... cháu không chịu được nữa...."

Iereas vẫn ngồi đấy, lắng nghe Veiovis và không cất tiếng nói một chút nào còn Veiovis nói xong cô lại vùi mặt vào tay, im lặng khóc. Hai người cứ thế đến khi Iereas đứng dậy, nhẹ nhàng lại gần Veiovis rồi xoa đầu cô.

"Con đã làm tốt rồi." - Iereas chỉ nói một câu rồi ngay lập tức rời đi, tránh việc Veiovis nhận diện được thân phận trong Trại. Nhưng Iereas không biết rằng mặc dù cậu đã xoa đầu Veiovis, cô vẫn vùi đầu trong tay, tôn trọng yêu cầu của Torvus mà không nhìn mặt Iereas. Veiovis ngồi đó rồi thiếp đi lúc nào không hay bên dưới tán cây. Khi cô tỉnh lại thì trời đang tờ mờ sáng. Veiovis mò dậy rồi từ từ hướng về trường, chuẩn bị cho một chuỗi ngày mà cô biết rằng mình sẽ không thể chịu đựng được.

"Charlie, ta cần nói chuyện." - Veiovis gọi Charlie khi cậu chuẩn bị đứng dậy rời khỏi Nhà ăn.

"Em nhắc trước Charlie không tham gia phá giải lời nguyền hay gì đâu đấy. Anh ấy là một Huynh trưởng nên phải làm gương cho mọi người." - Percy vẫn ngồi một chỗ, khó chịu chen vào vài câu nhắc nghe nhàn cả tai từ lâu.

"Tôi không nói chuyện với cậu nên im lặng đi Percy, cậu phiền phức quá đấy." - Veiovis tuôn một câu đấm thẳng vào mặt cậu. - "Yên tâm, tôi sẽ trả anh trai cậu cho cậu ngay thôi. Có ăn thịt cậu ta đâu mà sợ?" - Nói xong Veiovis kéo Charlie rời Nhà ăn trước sự ngạc nhiên của cậu và hsinh nhà Gryffindor, riêng Percy thì nhục đỏ hết mặt còn Fred vs George thì hú hét ở một bên.

Veiovis và Charlie, hai người đứng đối mặt nhau ở một góc hành lang. Cả hai im lặng một lúc lâu xong Veiovis đưa tay lên rồi từ từ hôn cậu. Charlie ngạc nhiên nhưng vẫn nhắm mắt đưa mình cùng nụ hôn, tiện tay ôm Veiovis chặt vào trong lòng. Hai người cứ thế được 5 phút thì Veiovis đẩy cậu ra trước sự ngỡ ngàng của Charlie. Veiovis đang khóc. Cô chỉ nói câu: "Em yêu anh" rồi chạy đi, bỏ lại Charlie đứng ở đó. Cậu định đuổi theo nhưng ngay lúc đó Percy, Fred với George chạy ra, chủ yếu là để hóng chuyện. Lúc quay về, Charlie sờ thấy một chiếc lông trong túi áo liền đảo ngược biến hình của nó, một bức thư hiện lên và cậu đọc nó không dừng. Không ai biết bức thư viết gì nhưng cả ngày hôm đó và nhiều ngày hôm sau nữa, Charlie và Veiovis hoàn toàn không gặp nhau, kẻ cả có gặp cũng lướt qua nhau như người dưng vậy. Cả nhà Gryffindor và nhà Ravenclaw đều thắc mắc, ngày trước yêu nhau như vậy, tại sao bây giờ lại tránh nhau.

Có một lần hai người đi qua nhau trên hành lang, Charlie không chịu được liền nắm lấy tay cô rồi thô bạo kéo Veiovis về phía cậu, gặng hỏi tìm kiếm lý do cho bức thư và sự tránh mặt của hai đứa. Nhưng nhận lại là Veiovis đang nhìn thẳng vào cậu, khóe mắt cô rơm rớm nước mắt. "Bỏ em ra" - Veiovis nói. Nhà Gryffindor mà lại hèn nhát đến vậy, cậu thật sự cảm thấy tủi nhục.

Được khoảng một tháng thì Veiovis bất chọt xin nghỉ mấy ngày, lấy lí do là nhà có việc. Cũng hợp lí vì truyền miệng thì Veiovis ở nhờ nhà người khác chứ thực ra cô đã Oblivate cả gia đình đấy và làm giả giấy tờ từ lâu. Veiovis làm gì còn nhà nữa đâu. Những ngày đấy cô lang thang ở Knockturn Alley, cuối ngày thì lánh nhờ ở quán Three Broomsticks, bà Rosmerta đủ hiền để cho cô ở nhờ một căn phòng gác xép có thể quan sát mọi người mà không bị phát hiện. Ngay sau khi cứu Jacob, anh ấy lại bặt âm vô tín, không nghe ngóng được tình hình gì. Veiovis quyết định đi tìm Jacob và cũng như tìm con ả Rakepick đã phản bội mọi người. Lần này thì Veiovis sẵn sàng dùng Crucio lên ả rồi, kể cả bị bắt vào Azkaban cô cũng phải tra tấn ả không còn lý trí nữa.

Ở trường, sau một tháng, mọi người dường như chấp nhận là Veiovis với Charlie chia tay, trở thành tin nóng khắp cả trường. Nhưng gặng hỏi Charlie hay Veiovis thì cả hai đều im lặng không nói gì về chuyện đấy. Nên khi nghe Veiovis xin nghỉ, Charlie liền chạy đi tìm giáo sư Flitwick, hỏi xem tại sao Veiovis lại nghỉ.

"Trò đấy bảo là gia đình có việc quan trọng nên phải về. Lúc đầu ta định không cho nhưng thấy trò ấy khẩn cầu như vậy ta đành cho tự đi."

Charlie cảm ơn thầy rồi rời khỏi phòng học, trong đầu có ý định trốn đi tìm Veiovis nhưng bỗng dưng cậu nhận ra, cậu không biết nhà Veiovis ở đâu cả. Nhà cô ấy ở đâu, có bao nhiêu người, bố mẹ cô ấy vốn là người như thế nào,... cậu đều không hề biết. Charlie thực sự không biết một thứ gì hết. Mang tiếng là người yêu nhưng cậu lại chả biết cái thá gì cả. Veiovis chưa từng nói về gia đình của cô cho ai cả. Không một ai biết nhà cô ở đâu, kể cả Rowan. Bill cũng không biết gì về Veiovis cả. Charlie liền từ bỏ ý định, đợi chờ Veiovis quay về trường. Lúc đó chắc chắn cậu sẽ đến bên cạnh Veiovis và nói chuyện với cô.

Bằng cách nào đó Veiovis lại lang thang được ra tận Ottery St Catchpole sau một vụ ẩu đả ở Knockturn Alley và cô vô tình dính líu vào một tẹo. Lững thững được một lúc cô liền nhận ra The Burrow, nhà của Weasley mà năm ngoái cô được đến ăn Giáng sinh. Veiovis lập tức quay người bỏ đi thì có một lực gì đó kéo cô lại. Veiovis liếc mắt nhìn và nhận ra bà Molly đang giữ lấy tay cô.

"Veiovis?? Con làm gì ở đây vậy? Tại sao con lại ở đây? Đáng lẽ con phải ở trường chứ? Mà sao trông con nhếch nhác vậy? Về đây tắm rửa ngay cho ta." - Molly liến thoắng không kịp để Veiovis hó hé một câu. Cô chỉ có thể thở dài chịu trận xong đi theo Molly về Burrow.

Vừa vào nhà ngay lập tức những khuôn mặt thân quen đập vào mắt Veiovis. "Bill? Fred? George? Cả ba làm gì ở đây vậy? Cả ba đáng lẽ phải ở trường chứ?" - Veiovis ngạc nhiên, đỡ lấy Fred và George đang đu lấy chân cô. Bill đang nhét bánh vào mồm cũng hốt hoảng rớt bánh khỏi mồm khi nhìn thấy Veiovis.

"Em đã ở đâu và làm cái quái gì vậy? Bộ dạng em khác gì ăn mày không?"

"Bọn em bị đình chỉ 1 tuần do quậy quá nên bị thầy Dumbledore phạt á. Anh Bill vừa đưa bọn em về." - Fred với George tự hào khoe. - "Bọn em làm nổ bồn cầu tiêu trong nhà vệ sinh đó."

"Thôi ngay hai đứa kia! Tự hào lắm mà kể! Veiovis, con lại đây tắm rửa thay đồ đi. Tối nay ngủ lại nhé." - Molly nhiệt tình đưa khăn cho Veiovis. Bỗng dưng Veiovis cảm thấy một lực kéo ở chân, Veiovis cúi xuống thì thấy Ginny đang kéo, tỏ ý muốn được bế.

"Chào em Ginny. Em thật đáng yêu quá đi. Đợi chị tắm xong chị em mình cùng chơi nhé?" - Veiovis nhấc Ginny lên, véo nhẹ má Ginny. Con bé thật đáng yêu, so với hai tên siêu quậy kia. Veiovis nghe theo lời Molly, tắm rửa sạch sẽ, ăn cơm với cả gia đình Weasley. Molly sau đó còn dẫn Veiovis vào phòng của Charlie, nói là nhà không còn phòng nên ngủ tạm ở đúng phòng cậu ấy. Veiovis ngại đỏ hết mặt khi bước vào phòng Charlie và nhận ra tấm ảnh chụp cô hôm đi chơi được đóng khung ngay đầu giường. Veiovis ngồi xuống bên giường rồi từ từ ngả người xuống, là mùi hương đó. Mùi hương thoang thoảng của Charlie mỗi khi hai đứa đi qua nhau, bây giờ đang vương lại trên chăn của cậu. Cô nhớ Charlie, nhớ những cái ôm, cái hôn của cậu, nhớ cả mùi hương đặc biệt của cậu, không hề bốc mùi cho dù vừa tập xong Quidditch.

Tối đó, Bill gõ cửa, ngỏ ý muốn nói chuyện với Veiovis cũng đồng thời muốn hỏi về chuyện dạo gần đây.

"Mọi chuyện gần đây ổn chứ?"

"....Bình thường mà anh, không có gì phải lo đâu..." - Veiovis ấp úng trả lời, cô thật sự thấy mọi chuyện hoàn toàn không ổn. Nhưng cô không muốn Bill phải lo về việc đó. Bây giờ anh đã là Curse-Breaker của Ngân hàng Gringgotts rồi, không phải bận tâm đến Cursed Vaults nữa.

Bill thở dài, anh đưa tay lên kéo Veiovis lại gần rồi xoa đầu. - " Ý anh là em cơ. Dạo này mọi chuyện ổn chứ?" - Không hiểu sao Vsiovis bật khóc, nước mắt cứ thế chảy dài trên má cô. Bỗng dưng cô thấy tủi thân và cần một cái vỗ về an ủi, dù chỉ một chút thôi. Bill chuyển sang khoác lấy vai cô, vỗ lưng cô an ủi. Veiovis thấy thế khóc còn dữ hơn khiến Molly chạy lên cho Bill một chảo, tưởng Bill trêu Veiovis. Ầm ĩ một lúc Molly mới đi xuống bắt bọn trẻ đi ngủ, để Bill với Veiovis lại một mình lần nữa.

"Thằng đấy nó nói thế với em á?" - Bill sửng sốt hỏi lại, không tin vào điều mình vừa nghe. - "Nó thật sự nghĩ anh không đủ bảo vệ gia đình này à?"

"Không! Không phải vậy. Chỉ là anh ra trường rồi thì trách nhiệm sẽ lên vai Charlie. Em biết chứ. Em hiểu Charlie phải làm tròn nhiệm vụ của một người anh nhưng em không nghĩ.... đến mức cậu ấy nói như thế. Quả thật... em có chút đau lòng. Hai đứa tránh nhau được 1 tháng rồi. Em nhớ cậu ấy." - Veiovis nói, ánh mắt xa xăm nhìn những ngôi sao trên trời.

"...Mai anh lại đến trường. Em về cùng anh nhé? Anh sẽ tạo cơ hội cho hai đứa nói chuyện. Dù sao anh cũng là anh của hai đứa mà, nhỉ?"- Bill vỗ ngực, tự hào nói.

"Cảm ơn anh, Bill. Anh...." - Veiovis định nói Bill như thể anh trai cô vậy nhưng lại ngập ngừng không nói. Cô có Jacob là anh trai và cô không muốn ngộ nhận Bill là anh trai mình được. - "Anh thật tốt Bill ạ. Vậy mà không hiểu sao có người từ chối được anh. Haha"

"Em đừng nhắc đến nỗi đau của anh được không? Anh đã cố quên con mụ đó đi rồi đó. Chả hiểu sao hồi xưa anh đi thích nó." - Bill ôm mặt, thất vọng nghĩ lại ngày xưa trẻ trâu của mình. Veiovis và Bill cứ ngồi cùng nhau tâm sự, Bill cũng biết ý choàng cho Veiovis chăn của Charlie, Veiovis lại vô thức ngửi được mùi của Charlie. Đến tận sáng hai đứa mới hoảng hốt chạy vào phòng, giả vờ ngủ quên không Molly phát hiện hai đứa thâu đêm. Lúc lên tàu hỏa, hai đứa khóa cửa toang rồi lăn ra ngủ, mỗi đứa một băng ghế.

Charlie đang lơ tơ mơ ăn sáng thì bỗng dưng nghe thấy tiếng cửa Đại sảnh mở ra, Bill hùng hồn bước vào rồi kéo cậu ra khỏi bàn. Trước khi bị lôi cổ đi, cậu thoáng nhìn thấy Veiovis vẻ mặt ngạc nhiên nhìn cậu bị lôi đi. Nhưng Charlie lại thở phào nhẹ nhõm, Veiovis vẫn ổn.

Veiovis đi vào Nhà ăn ngay sau khi Bill lôi Charlie đi. Mọi người xúm vào lo lắng cho bộ dạng của Veiovis nhưng cô chỉ đùa một câu khiến ai cũng bật cười:

"Vừa đánh nhau với rồng ấy mà."

Bill và Charlie thật sự biến mất suốt cả buổi sáng, không ai thấy hai người đâu cả kể cả Percy. Đến chiều, Bill mới quay qua dạy DADA cho năm trên. Charlie trầm ngâm sải bước trên hành lang, quay qua ngó lại như để kiếm ai đó. Mặc cho Percy ngăn cản, cậu quyết định cúp học luôn buổi chiều chỉ để tìm Veiovis. Đến khi hoàng hôn, cậu tìm thấy Veiovis đang nằm ngủ ở một chỗ rất xa trường, nơi mà Charlie với Veiovis trước đây hay ngồi cùng nhau. Cậu thở phào, nhẹ nhàng ngồi xuống rồi nằm cạnh Veiovis. Cậu ngắm nhìn mái tóc trắng rồi đưa tay luôn vuốt, hành động mà cậu đã kiềm nén hơn 1 tháng chưa được làm. Veiovis mở mắt nhìn Charlie, rồi cô mỉm cười nắm lấy tay Charlie. Cậu cũng nắm lại tay Veiovis, hai đứa xích lại gần rồi nhắm mắt, cùng nhau chìm vào giấc ngủ. Hôm đó cả trường lại rộ lên tin hai người quay lại nên ráo riết đi tìm Charlie và Veiovis nhưng không thấy đâu cả. Bạn của hai đứa đều nói không cần tìm hai đứa đâu, sáng mai khắc sẽ rõ. Tối đó, hai đứa trốn ký túc xá ra chỗ ưa thích cùng nhau. Charlie cũng cơ hội, chỉ mang theo đúng một cái chăn nên hai đứa đành phải ngồi đắp chung chăn. Cả hai nắm tay, dựa vào nhau và ngắm ngôi trường chìm trong màn đêm. Được một lúc lâu, Charlie lên tiếng, phá vỡ bầu không khí im lặng:

"Anh xin lỗi. Đáng lẽ anh không nên nói vậy với em. Anh đã khiến em tổn thương rất lâu. Anh--" - Charlie định nói thêm nhưng Veiovis lại đặt ngón tay lên môi anh.

"Em hiểu. Đó không phải lỗi của anh. Em lúc đấy thật sự đã ích kỷ mà không nghĩ đến cảm xúc của cả hai, tự mình chia cách. Em đã nghĩ, như vậy sẽ giúp anh phần nào bảo vệ gia đình mình." - Veiovis nói, tay vẫn nắm lấy bàn tay thô ráp của Charlie. - "Nhưng hóa ra là không. Em tự làm chính mình tổn thương và cả anh nữa. Chính má Molly và Bill đã giúp em nhận ra điều đó. Nên là, em xin lỗi. Em xin lỗi anh, Charlie."

Charlie quay qua nhìn Veiovis, cậu không nói một lời nào mà ôm thật chặt lấy Veiovis. Chỉ cô thôi, chỉ Veiovis thôi, cậu thề sẽ không làm cô tổn thương một lần nào nữa. "Anh xin lỗi Veiovis. Anh xin lỗi." - Lời xin lỗi của Charlie làm một lần nữa Veiovis rớt những giọt nước mắt nhưng lần này là nước mắt của hạnh phúc, của niềm vui. Hai đứa ôm nhau rồi từ từ đặt môi lên môi đối phương. Hôm nay thôi, cả hai cùng nhau đắm chìm trong nụ hôn đó. Nụ hôn mang những tâm tư, tình cảm và lời muốn nói suốt 1 tháng qua nhưng rõ nhất, vẫn là câu "Anh yêu em". Cả hai cùng nhau thiếp đi, Veiovis cuộn tròn trong lòng Charlie còn cậu thì ôm trọn lấy Veiovis. Đến khi cả hai thức dậy, Charlie nắm tay Veiovis cùng nhau đi về ký túc xá. Trước lúc cậu về ký túc xá, Charlie vẫn không quên hôn tạm biệt Veiovis rồi mới quay trở về. Hôm đó, cả nhà Gryffindor và nhà Ravenclaw ăn mừng khi thấy Charlie quay trở lại với Veiovis. Hai Huynh Trưởng yêu nhau quay lại khiến mọi chuyện còn lãng mạn hơn nữa. Nhưng bọn năm dưới đâu biết sự đáng sợ của hai Huynh Trưởng khi yêu. Mà đó là chuyện của sau này, hiện tại, có thể nói Charlie và Veiovis, tay trong tay yêu nhau trở lại.
