star wars / mandalorians / ‘the righteous’ doodle dump lmao i have been Busy but smushing bits of time to doodle here and there; description of what each image is below the cut! (and also briefly in captions of each image if you click through!)
1: Ursa Wren (doing the weird stripeys on her armor was fun, actually. also realized she doesn’t have a bes’karta???
2: Tani Gilamar for the Righteous - Mij Gilamar’s (repcomm) wife but she is very plot relevant in the fic (no spoilers)
3: Adonai Kryze in Mourning Gray (winks)
4: trying to figure out what formal wear would look like for more traditional mandos, and the solution was “something that can easily be pulled on or off of armor” hence.  big long cloak situation.  The one jaster’s wearing is inherited from like his ba’ba’buire and is like three inches too short for him (meanwhile jango’s is intentionally short so he can move around and not be ‘bogged down’, what a grumpy teenager.  custom made with fett marks though)
5: me singing “jaster’s mom has got it going on”-- anyway that’s what she looked like, featuring baby jaster and the thigh high wellies she wears for working around the farm
6: Young Bee and Baby jaster (bee ALSO had it going on as a young man apparently)
7: a kal skirata design I am not entirely happy with yet partially because he looks exactly like some of my OCs lmao.  i knew i wanted him very tanned though with a lot of sun damage (living on mandalore unshielded will do that to you)
8: Vhonte Tervho v2 complete with better, more dramatic montrals and markings

The Cuy’val Dar
Following on from my Jango post, I want to talk about the Cuy’val Dar.
The same warning as that post applies. This is largely my speculations based on canon, but not actually canon.
A note about Legends canon: Unless it is directly contradicted by the current canon, I choose to include Legends canon as canon.
So, the Cuy’val Dar (Mando’a meaning those who are lost) are the trainers Jango recruited to train the clones on Kamino. There were one hundred of these trainers, and seventy five of those one hundred were Mandalorians. The other twenty five were probably bounty hunters and general mercenaries.
Of the seventy five Mandos, we only know the names of 12 of them. Two, Isabet Reau and Dred Priest, were Death Watch sympathizers if not full on members. The other 10 have no stated allegiance but it’s my speculation that at least some of them were True Mandalorians under Jaster and Jango.
There are two whom I am almost certain were True Mandalorians. Kal Skirata is said to have known Jango for years, so he was obviously at least affiliated with the True Mandalorians. He was found by his adopted father, Munin Skirata, when Munin was on a mission with a group of mercenaries. My guess is those mercenaries were Jaster’s people, and possibly even included Jaster himself.
Rav Bralor was a close friend and comrade in arms of Kal Skirata’s long before Kamino, so obviously if he is a True Mandalorian, it stands to reason that she must have been one too.
There are two others who are potentially True Mandalorians. Llats Ward isn’t stated to have any particular affiliation but his chest plate has a whacking great mythosaur skull on it, which is the sigil of the True Mandalorians. Of course, it’s also just a generally important symbol in Mando culture, so Llats could have it on his armour for entirely different reasons.
Miij Gilmar, the trainer of the clone medics, wasn’t born a Mando but became one after he married a Mandalorian woman. She was murdered, unfortunately and he vowed revenge. It’s noted that he had a deep hatred for the death watch allied Dred Priest and Isabet Reau. My speculation is that his wife was killed by Death Watch and he may have joined (or already have been part of) the True Mandos to avenge her.
There is one more trainer I want to discuss in detail. His name is Cort Davin, and he was a Journeyman Protector on Concord Dawn. Obviously this is the same profession as Jaster and Fett Sr, so this suggests he may have been a colleague of theirs. It does seem that he stayed in the Journeyman Protectors until he was recruited into the Cuy’val Dar, so I don’t think he was a proper member of the True Mandos, but he could have been their ally.
We know virtually nothing of the remaining five named Mandos of the Cuy’val Dar, B’arin Apma, Swart Swifto, Wad’e Tayhaai, Vhonte Tervho and Walon Vau. I have no idea if any of these people were True Mandalorians. It’s possible.
A side tangent about Wad’e Tay’haai: one of the few things I could find about him is that his preferred weapons were a traditional Mando spear and a bes’bav. A bes’bav is a Mandalorian flute that doubles as a stabbing weapon. Of course the Mandos have a musical instrument that is also a weapon. Of course they do. It makes me wonder how many other musical weapons exist in Mando culture. And how many other things Mandos have made into weapons. Many, many things probably.
Anyways, this brings me onto the point of this post: why would any True Mandalorians would agree to train the clones despite it going against their well established code of protection over children? And how did Jango feel about these people that were once his?
It’s my personal speculation that any True Mandalorians that joined the Cuy’val Dar on Kamino did so for a number of reasons. The New Mandalorian pacifists were in charge on Mandalore, so anyone wishing to keep their culture couldn’t stay there. I can’t imagine that Mandalorians are welcomed in many places in the galaxy, so it’s possible some of them joined because it guaranteed a place to live and a source of income and food.
Some might have joined out of loyalty to Jango. Perhaps they thought he wouldn’t allow the clones to be treated badly and by the time it became apparent that he would, they couldn’t back out. Perhaps they wanted to help him and therefore help the clones.
I doubt any of them were actually told what they were being recruited for. It was a secret, after all, and I don’t think telling a bunch of Mandalorians ‘there’s a facility where they’re cloning children to be trained as child soldiers for a war in which they’re likely to die’ would go well.
Honestly, I just find the Cuy’val Dar quite interesting. Who are these people? Why did they agree to come to Kamino? What did they feel about the clones?

Vhonte Tervo, #20
FJDILFJEAILFJEAFL;AJ Elena why are you doing this to me??? Now I have to make up Star Wars literature!!!
20. Who do they like as a person but hate their work? Vice versa, whose work do they like but don’t like the person?
Actually no I don't, because I have the power of 'adding "space!" to the start of things to make it Star Warsy'.
Tervho likes space!Lin Manuel Miranda but hasn't really liked any of his musicals. She also likes space!Eric Clapton's music but thinks he's an asshole.

Found Family in Star Wars
What I really love about Star Wars is how much of the fandom is fully into the found family trope.
Like, lots of people may complain that Din and Grogu is the most generic trope that Disney could have gone for, but that’s how it always was. How a lot of the fandom truly sees Star Wars for.
Aliit ori'shya tal'din – «Family is more than blood».
The Vode. The biggest family you could have asked for. Thousands of overprotective for each other brothers, who are ready to make anything possible for each other. Waxer and Boil almost adopting Numa (yes please). The Bad Batch that are literally five older brothers taking care of one little sister.
True Mandalorians. Like Jaster Mereel, Kal Skirata, young Jango, Walon Wau, Mij Gilamar, Vhonte Tervho – all of them stay true to Resol'nare, be it an au with no Kamino or with it. You get 1 True Mandalorian within a radius of child in distress and now you have an angry buir ready to kill. It is literally in the marriage vows – We will raise warriors.
The Jedi Order. They have their flaws (who does not?) but they are one huge dysfunctional family. From Crèche masters, Knights, Masters, Guardians, Younglings and Padawans. They protect their own. You can say anything about «no attachment rule» but I feel like having an amazing lineage with lots of padawan-siblings, masters, uncle/aunt-masters, grandmasters that ground you must be an amazing feeling. We do know that the Jedi still fail their own in lots of ways, but like if there were no Sith and they were living not in the middle of the Republic imagine how more peaceful and truer to the code their lives would be?
The Corps. We don’t get a lot of information about them but I adore everyone who writes, shares headcanons, draws them. They are still Jedi, though they have different specializations. They give aged out younglings new purpose and they stay true to the Force. To be honest, since the Corps do not live on Coruscant I believe before 66 they were definitely even more attuned to the Force then the Order (cause again, one annoying Sheev)
The Ghost Crew. Do I even need to say anything? They are an amazing family that pulled through a lot of obstacles (and sadly losses). They all lost something even before getting together but staying together was their biggest strength.
The Opress brothers. Even though we did not get a lot of Feral in TCW we got enough of Maul and Savage. Even with all of the evilness and full sith-crazy mode they were brothers till the end. If it was not for Dooku and Sidious (and well mother Talzin and nightsisters) they would be still together and be strong.
The Original Skywalker/Solo family. Han’s and Luke’s brotherhood even before romance with Leia started. Leia and Luke bonding even before they knew they were blood family. Chewie protecting his family, even the Droids like C3PO and R2.
And the list goes on. I probably missed out on a lot of families so if you want to add some to the list – do reblog/comment!
In the end I just want to say that even though a lot of people say that our fandom is one of the most toxic ones I still adore everyone who spends their time writing, drawing, doing cosplay – literally anything fandom related. Even if you don’t create and just read – supporting creators makes all of this worth it.
Please, continue creating more stories about any characters, any family, anything that you love in this fandom. There always will be people who will appreciate anything you do to help our fandom thrive.

I’m so glad Vhonte Tervho and The Armorer canonically don’t have the Nite Owlcheek slits, and that Tervho doesn’t have the Nite Owl visor. Having gendered dimorphism like that in Mandalorian armor is weird, given how Mando’ade don’t care about gender to the point of not having gendered pronouns in their language. It’s nice that it’s just a subset, not all of them

Whumptober Day 7 - Where Did Everybody Go? - Abandoned
Commander Bacara, Jango Fett, Vhonte Tervho
Warning for descriptions of violence, suicidal ideation, child abuse, dehumanization, mentioned child death, the general aftermath of war, child soldiers
(Ao3 Link)
When Bacara was six standard, equivalent to a natborn’s 12, he’d overheard an argument between Tervho and Prime.
He hadn’t even been Bacara back then, just CC-1138. Karking hells, it had been before he even started training with the Journeyman Protectors.
“This is why you don’t raise children as soldiers,” he’d heard Tervho say, voice low but insistent. He’d frozen where he was, back pressed to the wall, knowing full well that he shouldn’t listen, but curious anyway. “You’ll cut away their humanity and they’ll thank you for it."
"Mandalorians raise their children to fight.” Prime had replied, voice cold. It was like how he spoke to the clones. It was nothing like how he spoke to Boba. “You were raised to fight.”
“Yeah, by a loving family,” she’d shot back. “And I was raised to fight, not to be a soldier. I was raised to stand up for what I believed in, not to follow orders at all costs. I was not sent to war as a child.”
“They’ll be full grown when they’re sent to war,” Prime said dismissively. “Are you done?”
“You’re taking away their choice,” she’d said, evidently not done. “They don’t know if what they’re fighting for is worth dying for. And because you raised them like this, they won’t know how to make the decision that it isn’t worth it. They’ll never stop. Never give it up.”
“They’re weapons. They only exist to fight and die on the behalf of the Republic. They aren’t anything beyond that.”
Silence. 1138 had pressed himself closer to the wall, barely letting himself breathe. Being discovered would be–
Bad. It would be bad.
“It would be kinder to kill them,” Tervho had finally said, and he saw her stop at the door, look back at Fett. He took the opportunity to move further backwards, so he was firmly out of her range of sight.  “If they only exist to fight in a war, then it would be kinder to kill them right now. Kinder to kill them before they have to crack open their own ribs, and rip their still-beating hearts out of their chests in the name of following orders.”
“Tervho!”
“Don’t even start, Fett.” Her voice was pure acid, and even though she was one of the nicer trainers, 1138 still flinched. “Soldiers can’t have hearts if they’re fighting in a war. If they’re going to mindlessly follow orders, they can’t have souls. They’ll die, and they’ll be dar'manda when they do, because you gave them no other option.”
“They’re weapons—”
“And yet you still have them nurture their bonds with their brothers!”
1138 had slipped away right around then, not eager to be close by if the fight turned physical. He hadn’t thought much of it back then, besides the passing thought that Vhonte’s take was the stupidest thing he’d ever heard.
Of course they’d fight to the end. Of course it would be worth it. They’d be the best, because they were indoctrinated since birth, and they’d get to go out in a blaze of glory, get to rejoin the stars. They’d do their duty as they were trained to do, be the weapons they were meant to be. There was nothing bad about that, in fact, it was something to be proud of.
And he still thought that, obviously. He still believed in their purpose, in what they were raised to do, in what the long-necks taught him and how the Journeyman Protectors trained him, but—
But he hadn’t died in the war. He’d ripped out his heart so that the hearts of his men could beat for longer, set fire to his soul to keep the Marines warm, and he’d lived. He’d lived, and he’d expected another conflict, another war, to keep doing his duty, but the Jedi had discharged them, and the GAR was no more.
Now he was supposed to exist even though the Republic was demilitarizing. He was supposed to exist despite the fact that the Republic was getting rid of its weapons. He was supposed to be a person, and—
Bacara hadn’t signed up for that. Hadn’t agreed to that. There had been no clause that said he’d have to live with what he did, no class to teach him what happened when the fighting stopped. There wasn’t supposed to be an after the war. He was born a soldier, and he was supposed to die as one, too. He wasn’t taught how to do what they ask him to do now. Wasn’t taught how to stop, how to give up the fight.
Somedays, he misses being 1138. Life was a lot easier back then.

⚰️⚰️ for Jai and Harti because I'm terrible :D
Send ⚰️ for a glimpse of my muse’s funeral
Summary: Jai Vetra’s Death and Funeral as told between himself and his granddaughter.
Rating: T
Warnings: Character Death
Characters: Jai Vetra, Solus Vetra, Harti Wren, Iviin Shysa, Kal Skirata, Vhonte Tervho, Fenn Rau, Ahsoka Tano
Notes: The changes are clearly marked between paragraphs with a back and fourth between Jai and then a snippet of Solus and a Conversation.
(I promise I’ll get to Harti’s soon but I’ve been writing this since like 7 AM and it went on so much longer than expected. It’s 1505 words in an experimental style.)
“Havea drink with me for you ba’buir,” Iviin Shysa suggested whileshoving the bottle into her hands. Old, almost bruised eyes glancedup at him from beneath a white buzz cut. The past week had beencruel. “We’ll celebrate his memory and his name.”
Solusdrank deep before handing the bottle back. “Thank you, ‘Alor.”
Hetook a seat on the bench next to her, knees bumping together. “Nothanks needed. We’re going to handle this as best we can.”
JaiVetra would not receive a traditional Mandalorian funeral. What wasleft of Clan Vetra, as well as his followers and friends, would nothave the chance to mourn him together. There would be no gathering inthe early dawn hours to prepare his body for cremation. Solus wouldnot receive his full set of armor to forge into her own nor even apiece of it. As the sunset they would not scatter his ashes thencelebrate his life. There would be no crowd to share food and drinkas music played and stories flowed. Not even a battlefield funeralwould happen in his honor.
“Hehated Kamino,” Kal Skirata told her over a comm call at Krownest’smorning. Her sluggish mind supplied it was closer to evening or nighton Mandalore. “Swore the entire planet conspired against him havinga break. They’d beat his door down at the crack of dawn for what heclassified as strill shit.” His tone took a humorous turn, “Whichseemed to be anything less than the end of the Galaxy before his twocups of caf. After those cups it became whatever should’ve beensent to Jango first.”
Theirphone call ran for over an hour much to Solus’ delight. Kal hadnumerous stories to tell about his time with Jai in Cuy’val Dar.Funny quips delivered in passing all the way to her ba’buir’sability to weaponize the chain of command like a true bureaucrat. However, the surreal feeling still nagged at her mind. She only foundout he had been alive all of that time after he died.
Kal’sface shifted when he caught something off in her expression. “Don’tlook so down, Ad’ika. He loved you more than anything in thisGalaxy and so was proud of you. Make sure you always remember that.He did everything for you.”
JaiVetra perished a month after the issuing of Order 66 during theUprising of Tipoca City. It went against all expected outcomes. Forhis entire life, he had been known as a survivor. No matter thetrauma inflicted or the impossibility of the odds he survived. It wasjoked he was part Corellian because of it. After Galidraan, everyoneaccepted Death would have to take him  of old age while passed outdrunk. There would be no other way to have a fighting chance. Yet, asKorda Six showed the mortality of Jaster Mereel and Geonosis that ofJango Fett; Kamino became his proof of only being human.
“Hewas the architect behind our escape,” Vhonte Tervho whispered inthe late hours of the evening. They sat back to back before the fireplace in the large dining room. Solus could not recall how they endedup that way. “The Empire had the longnecks lock everything down.I’ve never felt so cornered in my life. Neither had the others andit was making us all antsy. Except for Jai. He was just as unshakableas always. Told us to keep doing our jobs and trust him.”
“Ba’buirwas always good at that.” Solus felt tears start to drip down hercheeks. “He did the same thing during the Clan Wars. If someonestarted panicking he’d talk ‘em through it.”
“Then,a couple of nights ago he showed up with this plan. I was part of itand I don’t know how it worked.” Her voice wavered. “All of usthat got out, from the other Mandos to the child clones, owe himeverything.”
JaiVetra had never been taken with starfighters but he died in one. Athis absolute prime, he was still incapable of the preternaturalmaneuvers Harti executed. There was never any jealous there, onlylove and awe and respect. Secondhand stories (and in one instance themost terrifying holofootage of the past ten years) told him Soluspossessed the same skills; maybe more so. Yet, he still elected topilot a starfighter for their escape. Transports would need theirbest pilots to protect their precious cargo. For this flight he couldstand guard over their six or clear the way.
“TheOld Man was something else,” Fenn Rau told her looking almostsomber. Part of her was still reeling from his surprise visit to theVetra Stronghold. Concord Dawn, and by extension the JourneymenProtector’s, were iffy about the burgeoning True Mandalorians. “Hewas always full of surprise and one of the better ver’alor I’vemet.”
Hersmile came across weak while she muttered, “He hated being calledthat.”
“Ihated being called vaar’ika and that never stopped him.” For amoment, she saw the brazen, defiant man she came to know as Fenn Rauinstead of this somber ghost.
“Takeit as a compliment,” she tried to tease with a limp twitch todrooping ears. “It’s what he used to call Har’ba’buir andmyself. All of his favorite people are small, spitfire pilots.”
“Isee a lot of him you.” Lavender flooded Solus’ face. “Both ofyou are white haired, pains in my ass who could rally anyone foranything.”
JaiVetra had been assured he would never die alone but that was exactlyhow he went at age 66. A failed evasion resulted in engine damagethat sent him into an uncontrolled glide to a landing platform.Skittering across the metal he finally slowed to a halt flippedupside down. There was nothing to see past the transparisteel canopy. All he could hear was the muffled firefight outside over his ownrapid heartbeat. Something began to pool around his broken body. Atfirst, he thought it was rain but with cool sensation throughout itcould have been blood as well. Nothing would matter thought becauseit would all be over too soon.
“Ja’ikasaid he survived by looking for the light,” Harti mused more tohimself than his granddaughter walking beside him. “He said that nomatter how dark it seemed there would always be a light. He had tostumble for it a few times, maybe even missed the cue , but it wasthere in the end.”
“Itdoesn’t hurt less.” Her shoulders started shaking while sheworked hard to keep pace. “It doesn’t make anything hurt less.”
Hestopped in the center of the hallway to draw her into a warm hug.“Sol’ika,” her murmured into her hair, “now is the mostimportant time to look for the light. We’ve lost so many people, both Mandalorian and not, and we will lose more. But, look at thoseJai and the others saved with their sacrifices. Think of the livesyou and your friends saved. There’s a way out even if we have tolight it ourselves.”
JaiVetra died alone as an invader in a foreign land according to therecords. What was not included was the sort of funeral he stillreceived. The last of his strength was used to start his favoriteaudio clip; “I love you, Ba’buir!” singsonged from a tiny voicewith Harti’s warm laugh echoed in the background. Baptized in fuel,a stray spark turned the entire starfighter into a shining inferno. But, beyond that there was those who would carry his name forward.
“Wouldit be okay if I learned to say Remembrance with you?” Ahsoka asked, sounding almost unsure. They were curled around each other in bed.Solus’ head resting on her shoulder with a leg flung over her body.Ahsoka’s near arm curled beneath Solus while the other rested onher hip, thumb absentmindedly tracing the curve of the bone. “Iknow it’s something really important to you.”
Blinkingseveral times, Solus tried to study Ahsoka’s face in the dark. Atbest, she gathered bright eyes were staring at the ceiling. “Ofcourse. I’ll teach you when we wake up.” Squinting she tried tomake out if the blue chevrons of the closest lek had darkened any.“Any reason why?”
“Itsounds dumb…because I didn’t know your grandfather at all. But, Iwant to help you remember him.” Her voice grew higher in pitch.“Since we’ve known each other you’ve always said it. Becausepeople live on through their names being remembered right? Or, thatwas how you explained it two years ago.” Shifting their bodiesAhsoka settled only when she could look squarely into Solus’ eyes.“And I’ve heard you say Skyguy’s name too. It’s somethingyou’re doing for me and I just…I just wanted to do the same foryou. That way there’s two people remembering their names.”
Ba’buirwas right about finding the light.

One more set of my OCs, this time Mandalorians! (No google site page for them, so I’ll actually talk about them a bit here. Reminder that basic image descriptions are in alt text, but let me know if you want/need more in depth than tumblr allows.) Posting this for the Culture prompt, because all of these Mandos had a moment where they decided what their culture would mean to them.
Pretty sure both of the Tervhos got mentions in Haat’Mand’alor be Yaim’ol, though I don’t think they got any actual name drops. 😅 They’re both Vhonte’s adopted children. (No one in their family is the same species; I love Mandos.)
The two members of Clan Awaud appeared in Haat’Mand’alor be Yaim’ol; Quayn is my mindhealer Cuy’val Dar member, and Rao is the armourer/blacksmith of the Coruscant Mandalorian community. While they both claim to the same clan, they actually answer to different Houses/leaders, because Mandos are just like that.
More about everyone under the cut, so I don’t clog anyone’s dash
Weland was Vhonte’s first foundling. Pantoran, pronouns are kaysh/him. Kaysh’s armour is brown for valour, and red to acknowledge both Vhonte and the two Mand’alore keysh had survived. Kaysh were the natural-born child of Vhonte’s childhood best friend, and Vhonte took kaysh in after Kyr’tsad murdered kaysh buir, about two months before Jaster adopted Jango. Weland is about four years younger than Jango, and they played together regularly enough before Jango’s verd’goten, when Jango decided he was too old for childhood friends, and then ended up becoming Mand’alor, and simply didn’t have time to spend with Weland. Weland was helping Vhonte during Galidraan, and regrets that kaysh wasn’t there to fight and die with kaysh Mand’alor. After, he went on to bounty hunting, eventually changing to travelling with his sibling on her quest to make slavers regret their choices.
Teeubo was Vhonte’s second foundling. Twi’lek, pronouns are she/they. Her armour is gold for the vengeance she wishes to bring down on every slaver, and red to acknowledge Vhonte, who saved and raised her. She was a slave, and had watched her entire family die, when Vhonte found her shortly before Galidraan. She was eleven at the time, and it took years and a lot of love and care from both Vhonte and Weland, before she felt safe again. Teeubo was a member of the Kryze family guard during the civil war, with Vhonte, and got to know Obi-Wan at the time. Although she never said as much to anyone, she had noticed the fading scars around his throat and suspected he’d spent time in chains. Because of that suspicion, and his willingness to learn their culture and language, she found him likeable, despite being a jedi. After Satine banished anyone who wouldn’t give up their culture, they and Weland left Mandalorian space so Teeubo could get a start on that vengeance they had sworn.
Quayn is a Kiffar and raised New Mandalorian, pronouns were she/her as a New Mandalorian, but developed a preference for they/them after learning the proper Mando culture from members of Clan Skirata. Their armour is orange because they want the life they’ve found for themself with the remnants of the True Mandalorians, and green because their duty as a mindhealer is still the most important thing to them. While it’s not shown in this doll, the long bang falling over their face is dyed red, both in remembrance of the New Mandalorian family she left behind, and of the member of the covert who sponsored them, who died just before Naboo. Despite looking nothing like the common colouring of the New Mandalorians under Duchess Kryze’s reign, she managed to graduate one of the best psychology schools in Sundari with honours, and was able to open her own practice. One of her early patients had been a member of Death Watch, and while helping them accept violence wasn’t always the first answer was easy enough, getting them to let go of their entire culture was not. Conflicted and struggling with her own beliefs, Quayn stole three former Death Watch members and flew them to the nearest traditional Mando covert they had a record of, which happened to be led by Kal Skirata. While Quayn has no longer sworn themself to pacifism, they are not comfortable with violence. That said, they were taught to use a blaster, and Kal has been very certain they never lost that skill.
Rao is a aromantic Zeltron, is the leader and goran/armourer of the Coruscant Mandalorian community, and prefers they/them pronouns, but accepts she/her from members of Clan Awaud and the survivors of the Haat’ade. Their armour is orange as a reminder to keep living for the Haat’ade who went out fighting, with edging in blue to reassure members of their community that they are reliable, and their clan symbol in white to signify they were cin vhetin. Rao was born on Zeltros, to an average Zeltron family. When she hit puberty for her species, she quickly discovered that she was, by her people’s standards, broken. While she wasn’t formally disowned, her family bought her a ship and the necessities and sent her out to find her fortune among the stars. Rao stumbled into a Haat’ade camp about a year after Jaster’s death, found a place with their armourer, and started learning the trade. They were a quick study and proved to have a talent for the work. About eight months before Galidraan, the armourer of the Coruscant community was revealed to have Kyr’tsad ties and was promptly murdered in his forge. Rao’s teacher and guardian said they were ready to take on their own forge, and sent them to Coruscant, thus surviving the massacre.

Ok so I’ve decided that Kal Skirata is like 164 max -5ft4in. This is my height.
I’ve decided to make Vhonte Tervho 178-5ft10in. My mums height.
So that means that Kal is basically at titty height. Like that man would Kov’nunir some tatas before he got buy’ce.
He’s mad about it too. Just once he wants to be taller than someone who’s their adult height.

Six Sentence Sunday
From chapter 20 of Raising the Stakes:
It had required promising the first of their next moonshine batch to get unsupervised access to the Cuy Val Dar's internal comms relay -- something even the Kaminiise didn't get to touch. Usually they only used it to call meetings and summon assistance. Tonight, however, Sikkaah had other plans. She plugged in the datachip Boba had smuggled for her in his pocket -- "Sco'buir said it was a special surprise for buir and that I should give it only to you," ka'ra bless precocious children -- and set about isolating a particular frequency. She'd only get one shot at this.
"Alright, Maihl. You don't usually go sneaking off. What have you got there?"
Vhonte Tervho leaned in the doorway, glaring at her suspiciously. Sikkaah shrugged and waved for the younger Mandalorian woman to join her. "Revenge, dearie.”
